Behind the Philadelphia experiment. Hear those air quotes, we inflicted listener. According to some accounts, the actual results of the test were way weirder than anyone could imagine. The method used to render the ship invisible was to wrap it in something called an electromagnetic bottle which was created using either two or four massive Tesla coils that acted as electromagnetic generators. I assume everyone's following this so far. Of course, yeah. Like you set up your Tesla coils, they act as generators. It envelops the ship and an electromagnetic bottle. You put them in a pentagram shape or something cool. Like, fucking, I don't understand how adding a four fully charged peek-a-choose to your battleship makes it less conspicuous. It seems like, oh yeah, we should probably go where that massive electrical storm is showing up on that. Exactly. Yeah, it seems counterintuitive to my limited understanding. But, let's read on. When activated,
the electromagnetic field was supposed to extend out from the ship and divert radar waves around the ship making it invisible to radar receivers. And this is a thing, one of my favorite things about Trump and I shouldn't even say favorite because he's a monster who... Well, not one of it. How do you narrow it down? Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. One of Trump's greatest hits. Yeah. Oh, one thing I find really interesting is a lot of the craziest shit he says where people are like, that's not true. It's usually true when he just said something he shouldn't have. Oh, that's the funniest shit where he's just like, yeah, it doesn't really matter. I mean, we can't. We have to be friends with Saudi Arabia because there's too much money on the table. And it's what, you like like, like oil. Like, that was like, what I think Jamal Kishoggi's shit. He was basically just like, yeah, I mean, it sucks for that guy, but it's kind of a sort of bigger than him. We got most of our account. I mean, who's going to fly the Jews out next terror attack? We set up his team. It's a whole thing. You're just like, okay, you forgot,
which he just doesn't pay attention to any breathing. It's just like, no, that's a fucking just say it. Why not? One of the examples I always bring up is when he was in that speech and said, we have, we have invisible planes. Oh, yeah, planes that no one can see. And everyone was like, shut the fuck up. But we do. I'm sure. Yeah. Like they're not, it's not like you, you're standing if you're just declassified technology, B2 stealth farmers, pretty damn and reliable. Right. Man, the day of the Rose Bowl parade, which would have been New Year's Day, I was walking out of my apartment and it was like nine in the morning. Oh, yeah. Stealth Bomber flew over. I was like, what is happening? Way too early. You're hungover. You're not, you guys still get your tip full head on, you know, you never put it together. Yeah, that's the scary. Like one that fucking Elon Musk rocket launch. Right. I was on the 101 North. I was like halfway from LA to Santa Barbara. So I got like a nice view of it. It was big in the sky where I was. And I was, I was looking at it going, that I'm dumb, that may very well be a nuclear missile coming to destroy my family.
Everyone I've ever known. And I was like, what do I do? I just texted keys like what? You know how to, I just did it up my parents like, hey, what's going on? You know, but yeah, I should have just been like, hey, if I die, I love you guys. But I was like, Dad, do you know what this is? Yeah. Yeah. Now whenever I see something like that, just like hashtag the area of Los Angeles. Oh, yes. That's what I do. And someone will be like, it's a SpaceX rocket. Dude, that's the only time debunking Internet guys coming handy. I had a good one of those. I had to do it just basically just getting very mad that I said, that I said nobody likes the under the balls, doggy style porn angle. And he was like, well, a lot of people actually do. I was like, okay, guy, congrats. The, but yeah, with Trump, the, we have two jets right now that are, like you can't walk up to, like walk up next to it and hit a button and it just disappears. But when they're in the sky, they are in some cases even undetectable to the naked eye.
Like if you look up, oh, for sure, you're not going to see it. And like that technology exists. So I wouldn't doubt that we were testing something like that at this time. Oh, I'm sure. I mean, it's like, I'm absolutely sure they're trying to be invisible radar and doing goofy shit. I mean, we try every, and we always have like a pretty straightforward goal. And then we go, but maybe if we've just fed MLSD until they could do it, with their brains, you know? And one of the things that comes up, especially in UFO documentaries is the government will do something and it'll be kind of successful and they'll want to keep working on it. But then someone will like stumble upon it and be like, oh, this is some UFO shit. And I can see a case where we might have even back in 1943, been like, oh, that's pretty cool. That almost worked. Let's tell people it didn't and let people run with these crazy ass stories. And then for years and years and years, no one will know we even have this technology. Yeah, we'll just kind of, you know, we'll fucking just, yeah, you just do it below the radar. It's like a, like the SR71 Blackbird.
Like it's like, it still looks like it came out yesterday. It's still a cool and futuristic looking and it was like designed in the 50s, just in the 70s. Like, I can only imagine what kind of goofy shit they have now that we're not going to know about. Until like, wow, man, did you, could you believe in the 90s? They had teleportation or whatever, you know? And this, so what they claim happened when they tried this test, when the electromagnetic field increased in strength, it began to extend as far out as a hundred yards from the ship in all directions. And within this field, the ship became fuzzy and indistinct to onlookers for a bit before finally disappearing all together, not just disappeared, but teleported to Norfolk, Virginia for a little bit. Yep. Because like, who was in Norfolk, Virginia to confirm that? It's the nobody's testimony on anything in Norfolk, Virginia is valid. Yeah, that's all coast to coast. A.M. Collins where I think I saw a go start.
I didn't do it. I did a tiner of truck, drop speed to get my, get my haul through to Denver on schedule. And I'll be God damned if a battleship didn't drop right into the middle of the 86. And you're like, okay, gosh, sure. And why do they, it's like, wait, like aliens, I think just go to rural areas because it's funny to them. I think they're like, Oh, it was a plain full of green. Ah, you know, like that's their bit. That's their little joke. That's how it, like, that's their AFV and on more malquer, whatever. And how disappointing would it be if you're going to get teleported? Like fill it, Elf you to Norfolk, Virginia. That would be like, you get teleported from LA and now you're in like San Bernardino. It's like, ah, come on. Yeah, not even a bit. I got to go somewhere cool. Yeah, what a dab of alley's nice this time of year. You know, set this ship in the middle of a city. After a few minutes, it vanished from Norfolk and reappeared and fill it Elf. Oh, it can be yours. Yeah. And that was at least that part wildly successful as far as the Navy was concerned
because they managed to make it invisible. And it teleported, but a little bit of a nightmare for the crew involved because the ship fell out of phase with the surrounding universe. Ah, shit. Don't you hate it? And then the guy says he's showing up between four to eight and doesn't get there. Tell nine. And he's talking and the words are coming out later than when his move. Yeah, mouth moves. And then that Adam Sandler movie, the out of phase with the universe guy comes over to fix it. When the field was shut off or some of the, the man on this test found that they were able to walk through solid objects while out of phase, which again, what would prompt you to even test that? Yeah. When you try it, did they just read the Harry Potter book and try to do platform nine and three quarters? Because they're all 32 year old crew cut and military dudes. I don't know this since seems out of character. Oh, when the field was shut off, some men were found embedded in the walls of the ship. God. I'd be creeped just getting cut in half by a wall because your night crawler powers disappeared.
Yeah. Like you'd think someone would take one picture of that. Right. I mean, I would definitely want to snap a pick or two. Yeah, I would, I would check back to disposable camera. And some men just went crazy. Some of the crew members disappeared afterwards. One guy was said to have been eating dinner with his family. When he suddenly got up, walked through a wall and never came back. Wow. I'm getting cigarettes in the galaxy now. I know. Oh, fucking. The craziest cigarettes of all those that exist between the nothingness. The cheaper there. Yeah. Yeah, that's where they sell those new ports to have no menthol in them. What a crap. How that took so long to happen. I don't win. Who wanted it? You know, that who do who wanted it? Well, that's like Oreos. No filling. Great. Newport. Yeah. I don't think I don't imagine anyone was on the sidelines. Like, man, I can't wait to smoke new ports. Oh, no, who the fuck? I what? What in the bean counting idiot thought that was anything approaching a good idea?
Because all that happens is the guys I see smoking over there just to do is going, yeah, they clearance them out at $4 a pack because nobody on earth fucking wanted them at all. Yeah, I'm like, yeah, sure, of course not. They're non-menful new ports. Yeah, that's insane. Yeah. They make non-menthal cools yet. I don't know. You could probably buy it from tall Gary Shanling or oh, fucking Gary Coleman. There you go. Gary Shanling and Gary Coleman, pretty different guys. Same difference. Yeah. So they could walk through walls. They got stuck in walls. They're phasing in and out of the universe. They fucking disappear. There was apparently something called the freeze where crew members would fade from view, unable to move, speak or otherwise affect their surroundings. Mr. Star, I kind of feel so good. And the only way to fix it was if other crew members who were present on the ship when this happened, laid hands on this person. At one point during this process, two men burst into flames and the fire burned for
18 days despite all attempts to put it out. Wow. I feel like we would have known about that. I mean, maybe it's in the weekly world news from the 40s. Yeah. That same newspaper that pushes Batboy and shit like that. Oh, gosh, you got you. People are like, oh, that's fake. Well, yeah, fire, there's smoke. Someone would see the smoke. Yeah. Right. You know, were they outdoors? Was the smoke phasing in another dimension? I wonder if they like, because you would think they would have been indoors when this happened. So you're going to have to move that fire somewhere. Or unless it's just, it's not burning anything but that body. And also call me an asshole, but aren't ships in water? I think you could do something with that. I mean, get some guys with some buckets and some, some of those backpack super suckers, you know, unless it, if it was a thing where the fire was burning the, the body, but not anything around it, then you just keep that for heat. Yeah. And that saved some money on your heating and cooling this. Yes, you put that 18 days. Go haul your crew members down to the engine room and we're going to save a fortune on
coal. Any remaining surviving crew members were discharged as mentally unfit for duty. Many were placed in insane asylums. Because of these side effects, the Navy allegedly discontinued any further research into radar and optical invisibility. Did they conner? Oh, I don't know. I feel like every time the government crosses the line, they really just, they just cut it out. They just don't like to. Yeah, they never keep shit like that going. No, they never go, but what if we electrocute 500 more guys? That's always the, that's always the scientific methodology. Yeah. Yeah, I'm looking here at your abstract and it says, if, if unsuccessful, maybe we electrocute some more guys. It is kind of like if this entire story is true, which I should point out two part episode. Yeah. This is a story that carries on until the 80s. Oh, yes. Next week's episode is about the Montauk project, which is a, that was one that I would
read about when I was a young boy. It's allegedly the basis for stranger things. I like forwarded that shit to like my friends and like my teacher. Like I thought it was so cool and they're like, what the fuck are you doing? Yeah, there's so much. We're a geosities website about monsters. Yeah, they call it the area 51 of New England. Yeah. Like there's been all kinds of weird, like I heard a rumor once that fucking Lyme disease was basically created at a facility near Mon Talk and just like accidentally got out. What? I thought we had Lyme disease like back in like Shakespeare times too, you know? I don't know. Maybe is that like, maybe is that like, is that like, is that like, is that like, is it like, is it like, is it like, is it like, is it like, is it like, is it like, take AIDS where we put that into the tech communities to destroy the tick panthers? Because they do like experiments on animals there. Oh, yeah. Like it's a biological research facility. Throw the full mental alchemist monsters are, you know? I don't get that right. It's for unfortunately a lot of the listeners do. So let's talk about the Phoenix Project, which, which these all sound like sort of like
spin off RuPaul's Drag Race shows. Yeah, all of this sounds fake. It's like, you know, Sasha takes Philadelphia. You're like, oh, sure, okay, I watch you take whatever. The Phoenix Project was started in the late 40s as an attempt to control the weather using information and technologies derived from the, from the work of Dr. Wilhelm Reich and Austrian scientists. That's the last goddamn name you want. Oh, yeah. Coming from someone from Austria. I was about to say 1940s. Wilhelm Reich. What, where could we have found the scientist? I wonder what his early career was. Yeah. What was he up to during World War II? I wonder if he would have been that I wasn't that in our socialism. He's credited with discovering organ energy, which we have an organ blaster here. We do, yeah. That's why our feelings of anti-Semitism have ratcheted up in the past few weeks. It's like an ionic breeze quadra for tolerance. It filters it all right out of the room. What happened to those by the way? That was on TV every eight minutes.
Yeah. Yeah. When I was a 13, every single channel was like, you will you have to have an ionic breeze quadra. And I have not, I've not seen an air filtration system on the market in like 10 years. Yeah. In a sense, aquatine season two have they been around. We're going to need one for the smart dust. That's what I'm saying. I feel like maybe they tried to phase them. I think someone showed up to the ionic breeze headquarters with a fucking vanilla envelope full of Grover Cleveland $10 million secret bills. And we're just like, you guys, you guys want to cut it the fuck out? They went boy, would I like to have an island that's also a speed boat. Let's do it. Yeah. That feels right. Yeah. Because I wonder how like that smart dust has to be around. Hopefully there's some here. Probably. Yeah. I hope we've inhaled some. I hope I've eaten some. I mean, I hope to, I don't want to just die surrounded by loved ones. I want someone to black bag me and then make me one with all as a part of some sort of control group for the Philadelphia two electric fuck alloo or whatever. So all the way down the rabbit hole. He supposedly proved the existence of Oregon Energy in various lab experiments.
Also further research revealed that dead Oregon or DOR, my favorite Swedish death metal bad was responsible for storms and bad weather and depression. Wow. If you were, uh, as funny as we pretty much know what causes storms, bad weather and depression. That's not like these are crazy mysteries. It's like, uh, it's Oregon Energy. That sort of convection currents of moisture clouds in the atmosphere. It's all pretty. It's all right there. Yeah. Magic rocks. One of his theories was that active people have lots of Oregon energy. The depressed or sullen have an excess of DOR. Dead Oregon energy and that dead Oregon energy also powers bad storms. So the government allegedly, as this story goes, used this device that he built that was capable of breaking up concentrations of DOR energy. The government takes it and uses it to build something called a radio sawns, S-O-N-D-E,
which sounds like a, like some sort of pitch fork album that's highly prized. It sounds like an album by the band Air. Yeah. Oh boy. If you don't think Moon's far is one of the cars that desert island discs, you got another thing. You got another thing coming sexy boy. So with this device, they were able to control the weather because it was capable of emitting Oregon energy or emitting bad Oregon energy or dead Oregon energy to do whatever they want. You could modulate whatever frequency Oregon energy is beneficial to the government. Right. And the side effect of that is that they could also allegedly influence the thoughts and feelings of a large part of the population with this thing. Yeah, because you could, you know, like, hey, let's make a big one and put it outside of a, you know, Buffalo, New York and see if we can bump everybody out. Yeah. And there is, like we did the episode about harp, which is that series of, is it telescopes?
It's like a, yeah, like electromagnetic telescopes where it's like it, it's all based on like electron movement and they're, they're, you know, reading through that. Shooting things into the ionosphere. But it could be, it could be modified to do different things, you know, kind of like setting, which search for intelligent, actually, natural intelligence is I think a similar kind of array. That's also the only charity I've ever given to is I donated 50 bucks to keep set operational when I was 19. Nice. Yeah. So it's like what it's like that kind of a thing. I sort of a, one of these, you know, like, well, no, what mom, this is my tobacco water pipe, you know, kind of a deal. It's a monitor in the weather. Yeah. We're not changing it. No, why would we need one? Remember that we played that interview with that government agent who was interviewed on Canadian TV. Oh, yes. And he was just like, I don't know. Yeah, yeah. It might be able to do that. Yeah. We're not going to tell you. I mean, nice try. Connooks. Did I, did I talk going about the news in Canada when I was up there over the holidays? Oh, yeah. It's just about had to just do, it was like, yeah, we might not have enough tomatoes. Like just very, very small problems.
That is a problem though. Yeah. I do like it to made, in select circumstances, I'm not a huge tomato guy. I like it to made them just about every sandwich because it's like you wanted to kind of lube up the sandwich for swallowing purposes. Yeah, you know. You know, a little moisture, you know. Yeah. So that was Project Phoenix. It was, you know, them, the government or Project Phoenix, I don't, Phoenix, I don't think was even a government group at first, but the rumor is that it was a project aimed at controlling the weather and controlling the mood of the people. Yeah. And similar to those like a police sort of pacification rays where it just shoots the uncomfortable weight of energy that you've talked about before, you know. Yeah, which we do have. Yeah, those exist, you know, the active denial system. So as the story goes, it's also a Bradley Cooper meets women. That's just a pick up, pick up artist technique. I don't, I just picked to do she guys. Sorry, Bradley Cooper. I also noticed that we were saying allegedly as if this is actually could be, well, I mean,
if it is real and they find this, we're even big trouble. Oh, yeah, we're fucked up. Yeah, yeah. That would be great to get popped for the dumbest one. What that one was real? I thought all that shit about Russia. That was very compelling that we worked on was good. Yeah, that are the Warren G. Harding episode. Oh, yeah, yeah. Fucking harding. They said, come back. They said, look, we can't take down last week tonight, but we could, we could topple conspiracy the show. Fuckin' try it. Do it. So as the story goes in the early 50s, the Phoenix project merged with the remnants of project rainbow, which is the group that put on the Philadelphia experiment. Yeah, because those are the stuages or to the MC5 of the Philadelphia. The Forester to their Facebook. Exactly. Yeah. And the, you know, fucking the FBI director, he's the teela tequila. He's the one who merged the two. They didn't come up with a new name. They just kept calling themselves the Phoenix project. And their aim was to delve further into the study of electromagnetic effects and their
use in achieving stealth technology. And then, it was figuring out how to do it without all the adverse effects seen during the Philadelphia experiment. Yeah. Which, that makes sense. You would want to make sure people don't get embedded in walls and walk through walls. Or burn for 18 days. Burn for 18 days, although, again, renewable energy. Yeah, or you don't have, at a premium. You don't have to do trans-dimensional CPR to save your bro. And what they found is that humans have a time reference point that they're born with. And it's linked to the Earth's native electromagnetic fields and helps orient people with the nature of the universe and how it operates. Obviously. Yeah. I assume that's what everyone listening to this has been thinking. Of course. Up to this point is that it's a time reference point and that's why things went so awry the first time. It seems what they're kind of describing is like your inner ear equilibrium. Right. For time. I know, which I guess is a phenomenon.
If you're sitting around and you wake up late and your phone's dead and you go, oh, fuck it, it's probably about 3 pm. I feel like it's been about that. You look and it's at 2.40. Yeah. That kind of a deal, makes sense. Except for dimensions. Yeah. But also then you... Aralow universes. But then you multiply magic. It's apparently a separate entity distinct from the physical body. And when the theory is that when the generators on the USS Eldridge were started, they broke this time reference point link for everyone within that electromagnetic bottle. And the severing of that link is what caused this horrifying physical and mental trauma. So to overcome this, they had to develop an artificial link within the electromagnetic bottle to tie the people inside it to our current reality. And then they inserted a fake background. So they green screened reality, basically. Oh, shit. To make it look like people weren't moving and that they were still...
Yeah. And they get in the same place they had been the whole time. Yeah. I think you could kind of do a little, you know, just that would be after effects on the universe with it. Which, I mean, that would be damn interesting if all of this really happened. Yeah. I mean, this is one of the fun ones where it... It almost just sounds like some sort of like retired CIA guy wrote a bunch of fan fiction. You know? Yeah. This is like Sonic the Hedgehog marrying Pikachu, but for dudes with like flat tops. Yeah. And when we get into the Montauk project, it really becomes that. Oh, yeah. That one's like a fun one. That one's all just black helicopters and fucking fencing. It's that. And the people who first put the theory out, even there like decide for yourself if it's real. Yeah. Which always makes me feel like it's not real. Oh, yeah. Where they're like... Because most people who've been who claim to have been through some horrifying government program cannot wait to tell you all about it. Because it's like, they'll have like this like screaming conviction that says they're either broken inside and something terrible's happened to them, you know, and they're mentally
if they've snapped or it's real and no one will ever believe them and they're cursed to walk the earth and not taken seriously forever. Yeah. Very rarely is it. Eh. It's never new. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe there was another guy at the second half of the box moving his legs or whatever. And so this phase of them trying to figure out basically recreate the Philadelphia experiment and all of its time travel stuff and invisibility stuff, they allegedly figure it out in 1967. Okay. But then they take it to Congress and Congress is like, no, we remember what happened last time. We don't want to fuck with that. So the Philadelphia experiment and project Phoenix or the Phoenix project loses all of its funding in 1969 and is forced to shut down or is it? It's not. Next week, we're going to talk about the Montauk project, the area 51 of New England,
which ends up being the continuation of this story. What are your thoughts on the Philadelphia experiment? I mean, it is one of these things where I think when I don't think the United States Black budget has a great kind of grasp on the sunk cost fallacy, you know, where when they go, well, we've got so much in it. It's got, we got to be close where $19 billion deep on invisible battleships, it's got it. We got to be just around the corner, you know, like the, I feel like the CIA, like budget guy just has that, you know, motivational poster where there's the guy who's been digging for a really long time and he turns around but he's so close to the diamonds, you know, they seem to always think like if we just give it another creepier name and let another more corrupt, you know, cross-dressing executive green light it than perhaps we could get there. And as someone who's had to deal with budgets at day jobs and even comedy jobs, I've had writing jobs. I know there's always. Comedy writing too very different.
Very, very different things. I know there's always a sense of, well, if we don't ask for this money this year, we're not going to get it next year. Oh, yeah. Obviously, we have to spend this money and we have to ask for the same money or more next year or our budget will get cut. I was, yeah, I, whenever I do shows on military bases, they're always just like, there's the racquetball court. I mean, we got a fucking, we had to find someplace to put it, you know, like it's a lot of that. Mm-hmm. Yeah, so that, I don't know. I feel like the Philadelphia experiment, I don't doubt that we were working on, that we have been working on invisibility stuff for a long time. But having it go this awry to the point where people are time traveling, which is definitely going to happen in the next episode. Yeah, there's quite a bit of that. That seems extreme. I know this is the era when the aliens were allegedly bringing the Nazis all the good shit. Yep. Which why did aliens hate Jews so much? Yeah, that's weird. I feel like as a question we never ask about World War II. They must know something we don't know. Yeah, it's weird like the Nazis had the best connect in town.
Yeah, how come the aliens never showed up for the Allies? These sorts of, they looked cool. The aliens are also German. They weren't for Hugo Boss. We can poop and then disappear as you poop after sexy times have been completed. It was very efficient. So yeah, that's this week's episode. This is a Patreon only episode. So you don't have to subscribe to a god damn thing. You already figured it out, kids. Yeah. You already put the money in the tree stump and met up with the black suit. You could if you're so inclined. Come out to the Hollywood Hotel Saturday, January 26th. That's this Saturday, 9 pm. For the un pops stand up show Keith Carey is headlining. Whoa. And then that Keith tells jokes himself. He won and only recording an album the next day. He is. Yeah, he's doing that. So yeah, if you're around, go see him at the chatterbox in West Covina. He's very funny. Top of his game. And also there, I'll be there, Quincy Johnson, Travis Clark, Andy Sell, Jessica Singer,
Cindy Arvina, and possibly a drop in from Andy Letterman. Oh, nice. She is. If she gets her track suit dry cleaned in time. A murderer is real. That's a great show, man. That'll be fun. So come out to that. What do you got to plug? Oh, man, mean boys tour. We're going back on the road. We're going through the South. So March 28th, Houston, 29th, Austin, 30th, Dallas, 31st, Kansas City, March 1st, St. Louis, March, April 1st, St. Louis. Yeah, we're going back in time. We're going to Philadelphia experience. Let's pyramid ourselves after Kansas City, you know, and we're going to teleport. Anyway, the Nashville, April 5th, Atlanta on the 6th and Orlando. We're finally going to Florida on April 7th. So tickets for that should be live at meboyspodcast.com, where the time this comes out. Where are you doing in Kansas City? I think we got a BDSM dungeon. I'm not sure. I know Keith felt that one up. Yeah, well, I forget what the venue is, but if it isn't that, that was definitely very
seriously considered and hashed out. Detail wise with the BDSM club. Nice. We always do a place there called Tap Cade. Okay. We're going to do a movie theater and arcade, but the movie theater is in back and it has this, like, it's almost like movie theater seating, but people still have tables and shit. Oh, okay. Oh, really great. Oh, kind of like the, um, the fucking man's Chinese, where they had that comedy club. Yeah, that's nice. I like that. Yeah, that's great. Shout out to Tap Cade. We've done, I think, three or four shows there. Oh, hell yeah. Always fun. So go see Connor and Keith in Kansas City, motherfucker. And that's it. Let's get out of here. Connor, say goodbye. Good bye, everybody. We love you. People of Earth. Your planet is now to be destroyed.
