Hello, my name is Todd Boyle. I'm your host, the Geo Power Energy Real Politics. We have a very fascinating show today. The show is going to go in two parts. First part is going to be we're going to talk about data centers and what's really going on. And secondly, we're going to talk about some fascinating Geo Politics related to World War II, Japan, Russia, China's in the background, and how these folks in pretty much all parts of the world, but particularly Europe and Asia are still fighting World War II. It's pretty unbelievable whenever you sit back and look at it. But I want to start with a very important piece by a gentleman named Doug Sheridan. Doug is a writer, he's on LinkedIn, he's got a company called Energy Point Research. Really, I would tell you, he's probably just about the best going when it comes to energy, electrical, really good understanding, electrical grids.
Certainly wish I'd known about Doug whenever I wrote my book, Jessica Green Electricity. He really has a great understanding. Doug wrote a piece, he will go many times on LinkedIn, and he will give these long, no, they'll give long for a social media post. Commentaries, he actually does about one to two times a week, sometimes they'll do his Energy Point Research. Doug has also done this with, oh gosh, with, he'll talk a lot about Texas, particularly the Irkog grid. But I want to really hammer home the point of what Doug had said recently. He wrote a piece where he talked about, oh, the electrical grid. And he was talking about data centers. And it was a pretty fascinating thing that he was talking about when it came to data centers.
And we hear so much about this, the midterms have come into, you know, obviously we're now in the midterms in the United States. We are, we're just, I mean, all I can say is we are absolutely going insane. So what I want to do is, I want to, I'm literally going to read this because you really need to hear it. I give credit to Mr. Sheridan, he hears this, please come on the show. But I'm literally getting directly because I've read it and I went, this guy has literally said, here's why your electricity prices are going up. And here's why the whole data center issue is ridiculous. There's plenty of energy. These are policy choices. These are political choices. You will hear this often from Bloomberg, who I've had on the show as well. So here's what Doug writes, he goes, Americans, utility bills are delivering unpleasant surprises with residential electricity prices rising in more than twice the rate of core inflation.
California, Maine and New York have seen multi-year rate hikes that would have been politically unthinkable a decade ago. The politicians are scrambling to claim that America simply hasn't invested enough and it's aging grid, but the data suggests otherwise. The problem isn't under investment. It's a monumental miscalculation of capital driven by political mandates and subsidies. These typically are in blue states or democratic states, say, vote for Democrats, but Republicans, particularly in Texas, are just as guilty. You could make the hour now Texas, quote unquote, the red state, which is unfortunately rapidly turning blue. God forbid it does for being absolute fools when it comes to energy and grid policies between 2000 2025 US electricity demand grew by roughly 15%. That's a huge number over that same period name plate generation capacity extended by roughly 80%.
Meaning here here's what we built. Here's what it's supposed to do. That's what name plate means. And, but here's what it's not doing for every one percent increase in actual power consume the grid added about 5% in physical generation storage capacity. Name plate here's what it's supposed to do. Here's what we added physical generation. But it's not the mismatched didn't happen by accident. It happened because policy makers forced the energy industry to build the wrong kinds of assets. Renewables meaning the sun and the wind. Renewable mandates and laws like the inflation reduction act pushed utilities towards intermittent. Whether dependent wind and solar whose low capacity factors capacity factor means how long something's running. We think it's going to nuclear power typically runs about 92% of the time. The new builds like Vogel 3 and 4 will run 95 to 98% of the time.
McGuire, a nuclear plant owned by Duke energy, they're claiming they make it up to 98% capacity factor meaning it's running 98% of the time. To wit. Replacing one gigawatt of base load gas or coal often requires several gigawatts of solar plus utility scale batteries and gas fired back up to cover nights and weather. Every layer adds cost he is being humble in that sentence. It doesn't stop there to connect remote wind and solar farms to population centers remember when did solar typically takes 300 to 700 times more land. Then fossil fuels are nuclear does for electricity. I've also expanded transmission and distribution work networks fancy term for power lines. At historic scale. The US grid now includes approximately 600,000 miles of transmission lines and approximately 6 million miles of distribution.
There's a difference. Since 2000 transmission capacity has grown 25 to 30% and distribution networks have expanded roughly 20% you're talking. That is into the tens of billions if not the hundreds of billions of dollars of cost that have been added not a data center politician. Typically a democratic politician or a stupid Republican in Texas has done this. And Mr. Sheridan rightly talks about this now. The cost are off the rails annual transmission cap ex capital expenditure how much it cost has more than triple since 2010 rising from about 15 billion to more than 40 billion today remember those are very conservative numbers. Distribution spending has risen sharply as well regulated monopolies utilities past these costs directly to rate prayers who are now sheltering the burden of a sprawling inherently less efficient grid.
Texas offers a telling illustration. After years of subsidy driven renewable buildouts and West Texas and elsewhere. Ercott that's the grid provider now sits on more than 190 gigawatts of supply resources for a system that has never exceeded 92 gigawatts of peak demand. The planned 33 billion step transmission system is the predict is the predictable sequel to the redo to the gratuitous overbuilt a massive public bill to accumulate a distorted generation mix. The math is now catching up to the ideology that ideology means you believe in climate change and global warming you believe it you wholeheartedly believe the earth is is rapidly boiling and it's going it's overly warm weather is worse etc and the way to make the earth less warm with less CO2 in the air is to use solar panels wind turbines back by storage back by a horribly emitting gas
Tim Waltz Kamala Harris Gavin Newsom etc the met these are the people that did this you're the voters who voted for it or you need no bad if this is what's happened the math is catching up to ideology remember whenever you look at how something can be decided there's a great way to do it. You can get someone's ideology the regime type history and human nature you can pretty much predict things this was very predictable people like Mark Pemils Michael Shellenberger myself have been warning about this for years I've written three books which typically many ways touch on a lot of the same issues this issue. I'm talking about reading more about step at energy point research which we're going to do here in just a moment Americans this is important Americans are paying the price for political mandates that push grids to build multiple layers of weather dependent generation and backup typically a gas plant a gas plant to replace the electricity one unit of reliable generation.
Now ratepayers are being asked to pay again for the transmission needed to support that spending if politicians and I would say the voting public want to stop the bleeding the answer isn't spending to hide the distortions created by past current policy it's restoring market discipline and letting grids build what works the current grid typically has to stay online what it's what it was built for. Is essentially I would say 99.9 10 or 9 9's afterwards 99.9 to the 9 or 9 to the 9.99 repeating a grid is supposed to work and go down once every 10 years that's how it's supposed to work you can not have capacity factors on a grid so what's about 25% wins about 35% offshore wind some people will take and hit 40%.
A stored system only has about four hours of storage that's it remember these things have to then be replaced much sooner than a gas plant coal plant an oil fired plant which there's many of them globally and still used in the United States and a nuclear power plant if you really care about global. And climate change if you truly think we're dirtier we're worse which by the way empirically it's wrong go look at the California air resource board data sets go look at the energy information administration data sense look at the department of energy yes American emissions are going up right now however historically they are down 90 to some plate some parts 99% look at it and see reason it is we use natural gas which is a much cleaner hydrocarbon than oil or coal is but the grid was built for coal if you want the grid to be fully clean and fully decarbonized you use nuclear power you reform the NRC you stop all these ridiculous environmental impact reports and conforming to NEPA and conforming to no radiation at all when you're daily.
Lides you receive radiation you build nuclear power plants I would say Isaiah Taylor of valor atomic hasn't right good for you Mr Taylor keep up the good work. You build nuclear power plants and we're if you really truly truly wanted to decarbonize you only use nuclear power uranium is 1600 times more dense than even natural gases you will always use oil because the transportation system and other and other industrial processes are based on fossil fuels because of fossil fuel can get up to. 1000 Celsius 600 degrees Celsius 2200 2500 for industrial processes that metals and alloys of nuclear currently cannot handle more than 700 degrees Celsius and they're not even certified barely certified even go to that there's only about seven different certifications under as me and in a q codes that will allow that.
While you are inventing metals and alloys to handle that you will still use fossil fuels but that's why it's not a data center that is making the price go up which by the way that's not even true I put it I will put in the show notes. I did this months ago but I'm going to do it again there is an article by Joan and Sean are high in real clear energy called data centers are not driving up your electric bill he he uses a study from USC the University of Southern California not exactly the bastion of conservatism even deeper dive study talks about the broader surge and electricity provide prices by Lawrence Berkeley National laboratory. What they told was the premature shuttering the base load thermal generation state policies meaning renewables portfolio mandates carbon taxes etc and the capital cost of grid modernization from reshoring of manufacturing and electrification of the economy are leading to this surge data centers are adding load onto an already strain system but they did not create the underlying.
The system is a very high demand and the demand and balance documented in the 2026 NERC long term reliability assessment this distinction has direct policy consequences targeting data centers as the source of rising electricity cost will not lower bills but rather will divert attention from the investments that actually matter if we want to reduce electricity prices for the everyday American. That's exactly what Mr. Sheridan just said backed up by numerous studies next. Mr. Sheridan has a company called energy point research I want to read this as well because this whole data center thing is geopolitics if we don't win the data centers if we don't put AI and data centers and expand these things by hundreds of gigawatts this will be won by China this will be done drone war. And then drone warfare AI into drones it is already been documented it is taking place on the Russian and Ukrainian battlefields drones are the warfare of the future if you don't believe me the United States military has gone all in on this the Europeans are doing this more than likely eventually you will not see tanks and aircraft carriers.
You will see drones fought by different people and eventually you'll see some men and women on the battlefield backed by drones. There was something that was done a war game recently and then we get to Mr. Sheridan's editorial about Texas because it's important that you see red states and blue states are equally stupid. And then you see drone warfare the Ukrainian Ukrainian drone warfare unit took out a battalion of the US Army in a NATO authorized military drill in a war game took him out took him out within minutes. And they were using drones eventually that drone is going to have artificial intelligence in it you will begin to wipe out the times of heavy infantry mechanized brigades and divisions you will get rid of tanks you will get rid of aircraft carriers. Who knows how high those drones will eventually go will they take out advance B1 B2 F1 18 Hornets the most advanced airplanes fighter jets that the military has that day is coming and that's going to come from a data center that's going to be back by AI and that data center will need tens if not hundreds of gigawatts of power it's already here.
We have a choice as Americans stop listing to Democrat stop listing to stupid Republicans you talk about this in mature mistakes. I would pull out every single piece of solar and wind in the country replace it with nuclear natural gas and in the short term cold. Let me read this to you as I have a few more minutes in this hour or pardon me this part of this first part of the program. Now this is back to Doug shared and again I highly recommend this guy here's what he writes Texas regulators are preparing to advance one of the largest transmission projects in US history history the 33 billion step expansion from West Texas to central and eastern parts of the state. Robert Bryce is also written about this but step isn't a vote bull investment in future reliability it's a warning sign that consequence consequences decades of policy driven capital misallocation ever ride.
Texans are about to pay twice. Step exists because Earth caught generation fleet has grown far faster than the mandate serves since 2000 Earth Cots peak demand is grown by roughly 40% but probably 30% while installed name plate generation capacity has served by about 170% it's a bunch of damn renewables meaning the grid expanded its physical fleet more than five times faster than the load it serves. The massive mismatch didn't happen by accident actually kind of began under former governor Rick Perry. It happened because policy makers in Austin and Washington pushed the system towards assets that don't max the needs of a modern 24 seven economy. When did solar supercharged by the inflation reduction act and embraced by Texas politicians Republicans and Democrats now dominate or caught supply stack it's all a terrible waste the low capacity factors of when and so I mean far more name plate capacity must be deal must be built to deliver the same dependable output as traditional base load generation meaning you went from coal.
To gas and some nuclear stop doing all of that to put on renewables and storage because you got a bunch of subsidies and a bunch of investment firms and politicians got a bunch of taxpayer money because they because they convince people global warming and climate change is oh it's going to take us all out nothing could be farther from the truth. And what's also factual this is physics this is engineering this is chemistry reds cannot handle renewables as Mr. Sheridan is making the case the layers of extra cost don't stop a generation again this is red Texas to win. Mint to move remote West Texas renewables to the states population centers Texas completes the CRZ the Texas completed the CRE transmission system in 2014 a roughly seven billion thirty six hundred mile expansion step is the sequel another second order costs created by first order market distortion that's forty billion dollars.
That's real money the trend is clear transmission spending at hercott has surged over the past decade rising from about 1.5 billion in 2010 to more than 5 billion today with projections exceeding 12 billion by 23rd to 3 just say no those projections are conservative I've done this work before you always use a conservative number you try to project out years ahead in many ways. You'll probably look at about 20 billion that will start hitting by 2030 if not 2028 2029 in the next few years if not right now so just throwing good money after bad makes sense if you view or caught as a rational actor responding to subsidies mandates and political pressures environmentless media think tanks in Geo's lawyers academia the Rachel madals of the world political pressure it might let me take something about the Rachel madals or others she could be a perfectly lovely woman her policy choices just like Barack Obama may be lovely to have a beer with spend time with dead mean I agree with his policy choices because they heard people the democratic party have a number of lovely people who are Democrats but their policy choices
are destroying America when you get stupid week Republicans they destroy America when you get Christians who are so weak and sit in a pew do nothing and don't vote you are destroying America if you destroy America it will be replaced by China Russia Iran North Korea that's what will be replaced by you will go from freedom to totalitarianism talk to people who travel in China talk to people who do business in China read about China I would recommend go to doonberg that team that gentleman has done a wonderful job telling you about China and he did business in China for years but the bill for this distorted build out doesn't land on her caught politicians or regulators it lands on Texans household small businesses manufacturers who will pay for a sprawling inherently less efficient grid or as governor Greg Abbott has done.
Oh our prices are going in crazy I've got to be reelected stop all data centers that's not what's happening in China a decade of a policy driven over bill of the wrong kind of assets this is by Republicans has left or caught with a generation fleet optimized for subsidies not affordability now is the large loads accelerate demand data centers driven by AI back by Davidia chips with GROQ intelligence inherent in their language and LLM a language model it needs noodles of power. And then so many come back now is large loads accelerate demand and the need to fix distortions from the flawed energy policy Texans are being asked to pay a premium for political mandate global warming climate change that forced the grid to build multiple layers of intermittent generation back up and then pay again for the transmission needed to support it.
And then the next thing that we're going to do is we're going to do a couple of things with Yeehaw he calls us the $33 billion warning sign Texas can ignore. Let me also give a few things here too because what this also comes to there's a great article called what if California becomes a failed state. And then the vendor who wrote this article he says this what this stuff comes down to. He says policies misleadingly sold as one time puts in quotes or to advance fairness in quotes exploits the ignorance of a gullible historically ignorant electric. This is this is Christians this is Republicans this is generation Z this is all sorts of people across the political spectrum now soaked in social media induce class envy such that they give promisey to resentment over reason I would say you listen to an environmentalist Michael Bloomberg Tom Steyer a George Soros.
Let me call these fools out do not listen to any environmental organization anymore the Rockefeller Foundation should be disbanded and their money thrown into the ocean. Historically ignorant electorate soaked in social media induce class envy such that they give promisey to resentment over reason these are bad policy prescriptions what Mr. Sheridan just described in Texas. California and entire United States and no rational credible and no rational person can credibly assert the work as intended as long as talent and capital remain mobile. It's I'm going to finish with this because this is important to understand he says maybe they aren't supposed to work maybe grids maybe these folks don't want grids to work an Atlantic article in 2018 popularize phrase later used to align the policies the first Trump administration.
The cruelty is the point today's progressive policies I'll say grid policies could be proposed in packages they are in the face of overwhelming evidence their inefficiency suggest their promoters have stated their true goals. and I quote you and I have a rendezvous with destiny we will preserve for our children this the last best hope the man on earth or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness those are the words of number 40 Ronald Reagan shine bright as America approaches 250 years America out loud dot news is that place to awaken your heart soul and mind to the out loud truth hello my name is Todd one I am the host of inner geo power energy and real politics at first that we talked about the group we talked about this has nothing to do with data center is with AI is it is a national security in geopolitical imperative or you listen to people who are
directly ignorant global historically wrong and are just soaked in in the in resentment and jealousy and stupidity and zero wisdom what I also want to I will put this in the show notes as well is um we hear the climate policy is getting quieter it's called climate hushing the eco modernist the break the Institute wrote about this what's so fascinating if this is such a you know existential threat why are you willing to be quiet about it if my home is on fire if my children are in imminent danger I'm not going to be quiet about it it shows you this had nothing to do with something going wrong with the climate and everything to do with control and money there's another thing of what was talked about in the midst of all this nonsense now the public they just look at it as crime wolf every storm every anything you blame it on climate change it's the boy who cried wolf
Scott route has a great article on the foot of the show notes called what 20 years of crime wolf ball bought and lastly there was a new study that came out um called earth heating by loss of cloud cover outpaces greenhouse gas effects per nested satellite data I do another show occasionally with Tom Harris called the other side of the story we had Dr Roger Pilke on and he said what you're starting to find and I'm I'm paraphrasing Dr Pilke many times the earth is warming because we have less clouds which means the greenhouse gas effect well can be serious obviously um you don't have as many clouds so it's warmer and this is backed up by Sarah satellite data this shows the last time we have less clouds and we have less clouds um this shows the last the decrease in cloud cover increase radiation upon the earth outpaces any CO2 greenhouse gas effects in other words tying it in the first part of the show you believe all this global warming climate change nonsense from places like the rock of feller foundation the tides foundation the bezos earth fund Michael Bloomberg George sorrows Hillary Clinton
people that are empirically wrong and then when you look at the data it shows it's wrong so then what you do is you destroy a grid and you go we're going to pass subsidies and mandates and give away taxpayer money for solar power wind turbine storage and EVs that don't work as advertising I think EVs are beautiful cars um the lucid is a magnificent car if you want to spend 80 to $100,000 on it if you want a hundred and sixty thousand dollar Tesla great they'll do it go buy it um even a sixty thousand fifty five thousand dollar Tesla great but don't think you're doing anything to quote unquote change the earth's climate um the foolishness of that is undeniable if you think driving an EV or getting your electricity from a Tesla your electricity from a solar panel is going to do anything to change the earth's climate it's not if you want to change the climate and even then you won't but you you want less stuff in the air you use nuclear power for electricity
I just want to put put all that it will be in the show notes now I want to go to something else here in our remaining time together last week we talked about uh World War Two I told you that really in most parts of the earth right now people are still fighting World War Two certainly members of the UN Security Council are still fighting World War Two briefly right now there's what's called a cordon sanitaire around Russia people got infuriated when Russia began to invade countries uh that would you would say we're on the eastern parts of NATO okay fair enough Russia got infuriated because starting in around 92 94 in the Clinton administration and the Bush administration we told Russia we would not expand NATO eastward we have done that
Angela Merkel the foolish former head of Germany foolishly let it be known she lied to Vladimir Putin about this I don't think I would lie to Vladimir Putin but that's another story so now we have a war going on in Ukraine that Ukraine is losing that Russia is also losing they're they're they're grinding one another down drones are putting less diesel on the market because the Ukrainians are using drones to blow up the one thing that hurts Russia their fossil fuel refineries and networks of how to deliver oil and natural gas to the market we now have a shortage of diesel in the world which means you're going to have inflation and higher food prices particularly but when I say they're still fighting and what does this have to do with everything we talked about in the first half has everything to do with it
Germany Russia Ukraine France Britain all of these people are still fighting over to Japan China Korea Andrew Kuerbko who I speak about off and I say the man does at least for me the best work I've seen on Russia Europe and Central Asia he put out a very important piece which I'm not trying to laugh but I literally my mouth hung open about this and it was this it says Russia's new monument to its 1945 war against Japan symbolizes their newly revived robbery I I literally have to read this now I will tell Andrew is he's he's he's pro Russian but he's also very fair he's very fair he makes you think like the Russians as I learned in graduate school
you could call them a rational actor you can also say they have a point of view the way that Iranians have a point of view and international relations you always have to say your opponent has a point of view I mean I agree with their point of view but I can understand why they're going to fight Hitler was not a rational actor Vladimir Putin is a rational actor Kim Jong Un boy it'd be very hard to try to deal with him he's a genius of China you could deal with him you know exactly he's you know exactly what he wants to do he wants Chinese dominant domination because they still think about war two he goes Russia wasn't responsible for this but the US which refused to allow its de facto Japanese protectorate to settle their dispute over the southern corals in accordance with their 1956 compromise that would have returned
Shikotan and the Habuma Islands to Tokyo's control that's World War II stuff Japanese Prime Minister Senai Takachi forgive me for mispronouncing names complained recently about written there's hyperlinks in this article that I'll put in the show notes complained about Russia's new monument to the 1945 war with Japan Irish journalist Brian McDonald shared footage of it to give a sense of its scale and prominent position overlooking the rear river and Carviscock this is in Russia he also reported that the soldier named Ivan by local authorities is depicted smashing a border post bearing a chrysanthemum the symbol of Japanese imperial authority officials described it as Russia's largest monument to the victory of Japan if you want to understand how Russia is still so traumatized by World War II
go look at the parades the national holidays they have for the victory over Germany in their victories in World War II go read Russian today pass those are split Nick those are really the three to kind of read in my view others people can you can follow obviously people on X but that's where you're really going to see the Russian viewpoint or Russian propaganda it's daily it's certainly weekly World War II these people are so traumatized they still fight it they still call Joseph Stalin who you can make the case outside of Mao was the biggest butcher in human history they still they will call him Papa Joe Uncle Joe have photos of him in their homes lionizing the man who slaughtered 30 million of them at least for the sake of the motherland or communism
let's keep going the broader context of this article concerns Putin's trip to Udaro one of the four Russian islands that Japan claims as its own which sparked outrage from Tokyo you're mad about islands that were taken from you in World War II okay while Russia's top expert on Asia Georgie Tolaura suggested in a recent piece that Putin's trip might set into motion fast moving events that complicates Russia's security Mr. Koryokha has argued that the Vladimir Putin probably believed that the force said are inevitable a clash with Japan a World War II still induced clash with Japan is inevitable in their force sought to preemptively respond to them
that's logical and a lot of this monuments unveiling after all it takes time to build a monument so it can be inferred that Vladimir Putin already planned to draw more attention to the northeast Asian front of the new cordon sanitary around Russia some time prior to his trip to it erupt these interconnected developments geopolitics signal that Russia is aware of Japan's US back containment plans of them Ergo Putin's reaffirmation of Russian soventry over Udaro and the effect that this new monument will have in reminding Russians of their country's historical rivalry with Japan for those who might have forgotten their competition began in the late 19th century after Russia's expansion to the northeast Asian led it obtaining influence of a China's manchuria region in Korea in the latter of which Japan fought China over in 1894 to 1895
the Russian the Russo Japanese War decade later was the first time that an Asian power defeated a European one it's soon there after led to Korea's annexation by Japan and eventually the creation of a puppet state in Manchuria Russia got its revenge in August 1945 what's so important about that is that we in the West you go why don't we harbor these grudges that's because this country the United States was founded on Jesus Christ it was founded on Judeo Christian principles that you could say go all the way back to the magna to the magna cotta that talked about democracy that talked about freedom of religion that talked about freedom of speech that talked about property rights property rights came from the original mosaic law of the New Testament talked about not paying taxes you were not taxed on your property in the mosaic law
the reason that's important is what it then comes down to is the teachings of Jesus Christ in the New Testament talks about forgiveness turning the other cheek giving your enemy your cloak talks about only killing in self defense that's why murder was outlawed so in the United States how are you I would make the argument the reason all these people get a simulated though messy as it is and though the 1965 immigration acts as bastardized that the United States is what it is because it's founded on Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ if you believe him and follow him eventually brings peace but also brings forgiveness the United States does not harbor grudges against the Germans and the Japanese because in our DNA the way the country was founded was founded on Jesus Christ was founded on the principles of religion there are books about this and this breaker has done work on this yes Jefferson Adams Franklin Washington Jefferson particular had problems with the New Testament
you could call them unitarians you could even maybe make the case that they were deist but they all believe in the God of the Jewish Bible which ultimately says humans have to get along with them one another because you have to forgive one another the United States forgives the United States says let's forgive and let's go build McDonald's and do business together globally that's what we do yes we are a warring fighting people but eventually what Americans want to do is many ways they left alone good loss Vegas eat McDonald's play football travel a little bit go high go camp and go play fantasy football and have a good time with one another we do not sit around and make monuments lionizing how we blew up the Japanese we may have a world war two monument but you're not going to see us talking about it all day every day our newspapers our magazines our television programs we're not going to do it
we're not going to sit around and rub Mexico's nose in the fact that we defeated you because you killed us at the Alamo that's not what Americans do and I would make the argument we don't do it because of Jesus Christ if you follow Jesus Christ or even if you're allowed to let yourself be influenced by Judeo Christian standards your life will typically be more prosperous more peaceful and more forgiving that's in the American DNA that's not in the DNA of Europe Asia Russia it's simply not I hope it is one day but it's not right now it's not the DNA of Africa when you have tribalism that's why Islam is so deathly because it focuses on tribalism it focuses on she is so many in the different sex and how we're going you know you offended me my tribe my macho is my I'm a man and I'm in charge I'm all for men being strong
but not I'm going to destroy my my wives my daughters because you don't respect me that does not take place in Christianity that does not take place in the American DNA back to this here's what he talks about this Japanese Russian robbery that's been relaunch based on the Russians and based on NATO and all what's going on what I talked about here in the beginning in compliance with what was agreed to at Yalta the Yalta conference towards the end of World War II the USSR launched the Manchurian Strategic Offensive Operation that swiftly expelled Japanese forces from Manchuria the northern half of Korea and the southern parts of Sakhalan and the Kharil Islands that's what its new monument Russian memorializes by reminding Russians about it the government is gently preconditioning them to accept the revival of their historical robbery with Japan
which is expected to characterize their ties for the indefinite future it wasn't Russia that's responsible for this would different would disagree but the US which refused to allow its Japanese protector to settle their dispute over the southern perils which we said earlier has a result this dispute has festered for nearly the last three quarters of a century thus becoming an important part of Japan's geopolitical identity and an emotive issue for many of its citizens the United States is now exploiting that unfortunately I'd probably have to agree with it Japan has been tasked with leading the US's Aakis Plus vision of a NATO-like Aakis-is-built AUKUS with a plus sign vision of a NATO-like military network across the Asia Pacific and although the primary goal is contained China this will also harden the northeast Asian flank of the Khordan sanitaire around Russia as Japan re-militarizes
it becomes more of a threat to it if therefore makes perfect sense for Vladimir Putin to reaffirm Russia's savagery over itera and for the government to gently precondition Russians to accept the revival of their historical robbery with Japan if you want to know why geopolitics by the show is called geo-power this entire piece is geo-power this entire piece is that World War II is still festering in these people's minds I would actually make the argument, while supposedly we won World War II the Allies the the robberies, the resentments, the still being furious at the Russians for being duplicitous with the Allies the British, the French, having to bring in the Americans, even the Canadians, the Aussies, the New Zealanders, all of them having to take on the Japanese
while holding their nose and fighting, you know, being with the Russians all of that having to take out Hitler obviously he was not a rational actor I would make the argument the Russians still don't feel vindicated I would make the argument the Japanese still feel embarrassed and humiliated over what happened to them I would still tell you the Chinese are probably traumatized people along with the Russians and probably the Koreans as well I think that's where you see some of these people who said I don't want to be part of society I don't want to be part of marriage and children and upward mobility and ambition because look what it got us it got us blowing each other to absolute hell and to nuclear weapons being dropped on us and our cities being fire bombed I think that's what you see so many times this malaise over Caucasians and Asians in places like Japan, Korea, meaning they're younger set
and many ways China as well these you have a generation that has rejected their great-grandparents, grandparents, even their parents ethos this overworking accumulation of stuff, big militaries, drone warfare, aircraft carriers, buildings, industrial behemoth, monuments of power for AI and data systems, they rejected because what they do is they look up and they go what did it get us? It get us blowing each other to absolute hell it's gotten us in a war with Russia, a war with Ukraine and we just want to go to work on our pipeline or refinery now a drone from Ukraine's blowing the hell out of us, or the poles going oh my god, here we go again Russia at our border, Germany, saying we want to remilitarize Japanese, remilitarize and these people reject all of this what it also means is if you bring back in the first part of this of the program, I would make the argument as we're ending the program
that the only way, the absolute only way to mitigate any of this, go get married, go have children, have those children vote for stable power on your electrical grid the new soft power, the new power of the world is electrons, is electricity, is your grid, go build your grid out because eventually everybody's going to fight each other again that is, I'm not trying to be dark, that is not a horrible look at the world, I hope people come to Jesus Christ I hope churches are planted all over the world, I hope the Holy Spirit is spread everywhere and people become peaceful but if not, these wars are going to be fought by drones and these drones are only going to get manufactured if they have AI in them they are going to be part of being effective and the only way to do that is to have power, you need to have coal, natural gas, oil and nuclear
so God forbid your children are not blowing one another to hell one day over these geopolitical disputes and stop voting for people, whether Republican or Democrat, they're going to put intermittent renewables, storage on the grid ask everything to be electrified and to use electric vehicles it's a one-way ticket to disaster as Mr. Sheridan talked about and as what we see is going on globally, guys, I've got in the show, I could keep going on here for another hour my name is Todd Royl, thank you for listening to this important show today I'm the host of Geo Power, Energy and Real Politics and God bless Music
