The Diagnosis Patrick Clancy Wouldn't Accept For His Wife

The top comment on the Patrick Clancy video says the caregivers made Lindsay Clancy sick with thirteen drugs in four months, no one tested her hormones, and Patrick was in the basement or in New York. Most of that comment holds up.

The New Yorker reported thirteen psychiatric drugs over four months. Patrick's own wrongful-death lawsuit says eight of them were prescribed inside a three-week window between Nov. 16 and Dec. 5, 2022. Both Patrick and Lindsay are suing her providers for failing to coordinate her care. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington asked the prosecution's rebuttal psychiatrist, Dr. Avram Mack, whether her thyroid should have been checked before stacking psychiatric medications, and Mack agreed in general terms. Lindsay's own journal, read in court, says she felt less connected to Callan after she stopped breastfeeding. Her coworker Margaret Hamp testified they worked night shifts together.

Patrick did work from the basement. The New York trip was two nights in November 2022, followed by four days in San Francisco with Cora. The weekly guys' night the comment mentions doesn't appear in any testimony I can find.

What that comment describes is the defense's case. It's a fair reading of the record. It's not evidence Patrick did anything wrong on Jan. 24.

The segment is built around a different Patrick fact. Nurse practitioner Rebecca Jollotta testified she raised bipolar disorder with the couple weeks before the killings, and Patrick told her his wife was not bipolar. Every expert who examined Lindsay afterward, both sides, put her somewhere on that spectrum.

Five comments checked: Patrick's help, Patrick's move, the profiler who wasn't FBI, the medication count, and what a verdict does. Blaming the system is a legitimate argument. So is asking what Patrick heard and didn't want to hear.
