People are quick to demand sacrifices so long as someone else pays the cost. Whether for recreation, ideology, or sentiment, wisdom disappears when God’s Word is ignored and the burden is shifted onto others. Scripture warns that those who abandon understanding and justice drift into “the congregation of the dead.” A society that pursues its desires without counting the cost or seeking God’s will isn’t advancing it’s moving toward death. The real test is simple: are we willing to bear the cost of what we demand, and submit our wants to God’s law?
