Got the gang back together now, hitting our stride, Garek Hodg, Mark Porter, big weekend for your buck eyes. The spring game, you can have a discussion at some point

4:03as to how valuable the spring game is for evaluation. But it is a fun experience for all involved. You're going to get to see everybody in jerseys. You're not going to see anyone who makes a certain amount of money get tackled, probably. But we will have a bunch of recruits here for this. You want to talk about a big weekend on the recruiting scene. It's always the spring game. So something we're definitely going to check out and Garek's going to get you completely ready for that. And Mark, of course, has another great video for you later today, Wonderful Champ Mons. If for no other reason, his parents have earned him some coverage based on the name, named him Wonderful, nicknamed him Champ. I cannot stop. Every time it comes up, I feel like we talk about it. I'm still impressed. However, we do need to hit the events of the day. And there's some crew to talk about.

5:05Namely, there's a couple of Buck Eyte targets. Heavy Buck Eyte recruiting targets that are going to be made their college preferences known. One is Jimmy Kailas, offensive lineman. One is Bukkai Brown, a defensive end. Garek, can you please lead us into these two commitments, who they are, where they stand with the Bukkais, et cetera? Yeah, McKay Brown is a six foot seven, 235 pound, awesome edge prospect from Connecticut. We've talked about a mat length on the show over multiple weeks. When we talk about the famous Buck Nuts big board that we've put together, he's a no doubt first round tier one capable talent. Unfortunately, I am not getting the vibe that this is going to go a Ohio State's way. I between Notre Dame and USC, I don't know which of those two is going to win it, but I assume one of them will.

6:06So I do not assume that Ohio State is going to win out for McKay Brown. So that will be probably some disappointment to a lot of Ohio State fans and probably some Buck Nuts considering how much we've talked about. I mean, there should be some disappointment there because he's a good player. But a rule of thumb, if you get sighted about four guys at one position in a recruiting class, you might get one of them. So that's going to happen in the next couple months. And we're going to probably have a lot more of these conversations. But in more positive news, we have learned that Jimmy will announce his decision tomorrow at six o'clock. Jimmy can't introduce him to the crew. I gave his name. Yes, yes, Jimmy is a pure offensive tactical prospect from Pittsburgh, top 160 prospect nationally. I would probably consider him to be very high tier two status, maybe low tier one status. We're putting out an update on the Buck Nuts big board sometime next week. That's Thursday to be precise.

7:06So I haven't quite decided whether I would put him as a low first round yet or a very, very high tier two guy. Might need to be a little bit more discussions there to get a complete picture for lack of a better term. But the good news is that I'm getting pretty strong indications that Ohio State could be the pick here. And if all goes well, he's supposed to visit this weekend. So unless he picks another team out of the blue and surprises us all, this could be trending in the right direction for the Scarlet and Gray. And I know offensive line recruiting has kind of been a sore subject when you get to out-of-state offensive line recruiting. So if a lot of projections hold true when Jimmy ends up picking Ohio State, he will be the first blue chip prospect from out-of-state to commit to Ohio State since Ian Moore in the 2024 recruiting class. So that's an interesting tidbit for you to start the day. And it would probably appease a lot of angst.

8:07We've talked about four guys that they're really into. I know a couple of weeks ago, we talked about Ken and Moss, we talked about Maxwell Hiller, and we talked about Mark Matthews. And Jimmy Callis was kind of right on the cusp of that. There was a few more boxes that needed to be checked. But honestly, if everything goes well, I think that they're going to feel really good about the type of player that they're getting, especially when they're pairing him already with an established guy like Kellyn Wimer at Top 50 prospect. So you factor all that things in. And Tyler Bowen's going to get another class of two offensive linemen probably ranked within the top 150 prospects in the country. And you're setting things up for a pretty stable future going forward. Very impressive. Yeah, there's a history here with the Kayla's family. When that question comes up, we'll be ready for it. But it is, who you think. All right, Mark, your thoughts on James Callis, I assume. Yeah, let's watch this video while we're talking about him.

9:07And yeah, he has a brother that played for Michigan. So this makes it a little different. You don't always see that. I think we saw with the born brothers at one point. But you said it, Gary. True tackle, long thin body. And you know what? I kind of did that same thing you did. Like this might be a tier one guy. You see the length of tackle. And you see some traits here that are pretty strong. And the reason we say tier one is, is this like a first state pick for the NFL in a couple of years? Does he have that type of body? I mean, Sam Greer, he's the obvious prototype for that in the recent memory. But this kid looks really long and really athletic. And what else there is here is upside. He doesn't look like he's totally filled out. It looks like you get him in the squat rack. Those legs may fill out a little more. It looks through to the torso. There's some weight to put on, which means there's more to this kid. So what you're seeing on film, you're going to get a better product here. He's doing both things I like a tackle. You see how he caved down that line?

10:08So he's got the power aspect of offensive line. But he's also got the feet. And sometimes that doesn't always come in the same pack. If you either get one, that's one or the other. I think he's got a nice combination of both on these clips we're seeing here. So this is kind of a surprise. Get from me, Garrick. I really, I thought he was going to commit somewhere else when I would see things online at him or top five, I guess. And I just kind of maybe tuned out. So if I had a blind spot for this kid, I'm glad because this is a nice surprise addition for me to this class, especially in the old line, the department. He also checks the boxes that I love. His dad played in the NFL. His brother was at least an NFL candidate at one point. I'm sure he got at least a cup of coffee or a free agency invite. But you're right. What jumps out to me on the film is his length. He's a tall drink of water now. If they're able to add probably, if Mick can put some pounds

11:10and some sand in the trunk or wherever you do that to keep your four-wheel drive going, that's a nice looking player right there. And yes, he is related to the Kyle Calis, who if you've never Googled Kyle Calis, Ohio Recruiting Michigan, use the word blood and Google that. And that'll probably be 15 minutes of comedy. And the funny thing is it didn't actually affect the recruiting of his younger brother. So Lord knows what tangled web that is. Go ahead, Mark. Yeah, that's the thought that's running through my head. Either as brother was too young to actually read the Twitter back then, but it never seeked in. And that gives you an insight to what the recruiting is and how much programs change. And just a short time where somewhere 10 years ago might have been the place to be or the right fit. And 10 years later, it's the arch nemesis of that team. So there you go. Maybe that was it. Maybe that's the type of recruiting you need to do is going for. He's like, yeah, maybe if you want to be

12:11on the better side of that. Now, there was something happening between those games, not really sure. It's foggy, but very, very interesting. And Makai Brown, I don't know. I guess that's one that we could revisit. Let me help me with the pronunciation of last year's defensive end that we lost to us to USC's at Wafel. Look, Wafel. Another, by the way, prep school kid from the East Coast. He went to the Hun school. And so guys like that, they'll go anywhere. Keep this in mind. Those aren't regional drafts. And Brown is Makai. Makai Brown is Greenwich Country Day outside New York City, suburb, and he's going out to Cali. So regional recruiting for guys at prep school who like dead presidents. Fun fact, Jimmy wouldn't be the first Calist

13:12to go to Ohio State. His sister is currently a student there, apparently. So not the first sibling to break that trend. And from what I understand, his younger sister might be getting recruited by Ohio State volleyball. So that was customary. They sent the next sister. There's like a test balloon. Let's see how it works for her. If people forget, then we'll go into the next generation and work it out. Oh, that's hilarious. All right. I know I would take Makai Brown over Luke Wafel. Just interesting. I would do. I think that's a difference between those two players. They're both elite. I would take, but now we're getting into this. Let's separate elite and let's be those. I mean, I think we're like snobby wine connoisseurs. We're like, we're simping wine and being like, oh, this is two, whatever. Look, but that's what we're doing here. The only thing wrong with that statement is the kind of. That's what we are. We. It's like, you ever see the movie Spinal Tat? They talk about where they would look

14:13for their next drummer. The world and elsewhere, everywhere, you know what I'm saying? It does not matter. Germany, Bangladesh. You'd be surprised. I can actually look this up. We actually have a nice following in Bangladesh. Who knew? Yes. Snobbly. Yeah. Brown over Wafel. Okay. No biggie. Longer. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just more upside. Yeah. I wonder if Wafel's not. Different story. We'll see. And we'll get to see him. Because didn't you know USC is in the big 10? And that is just goofy. All right. Let's talk about the spring game before we head into the film room. Who's expected? Who is expected? Who could throw the curveball? And just to preface this. Nothing is more fluid than summer visits or offseason visits. So even if we say. The guy is expected to come. He's not already on campus.

15:15There's at least a percentage chance that he will bail. And someone else will fill his spot or who knows. But. Garrett, the floor is yours. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We had four names for 2027 to throw out here. And as of now, the visitors list is far. I guess less comprehensive than those two weekends in the spring that we've talked about the student appreciation April 4th weekend, where there was just a who's who's list there. And even the weekend before that. Are shaping up to be bigger recruiting weekends than this. Now, of course, with the spring game, there's always like. Three or four names that trickle in the day of where you're like, that's all of a sudden. But. The biggest name potentially that's going to be there is one that we've already discussed at the beginning of the show, Jim and Kayla's. And. Assuming everything goes right tomorrow night. And there isn't a, you know, curveball at the 11th hour, you would assume that Jimmy would be there. And assuming that he picks the scarlet and gray.

16:15That's probably going to be a really hyped up visit. He's going to get to interact with all the other offensive lying that he's going to be able to start pure recruiting other guys that are there himself. He's going to be at Ohio State and enter Ohio Stadium for the first time as an Ohio State commit if everything breaks right. And another guy that I don't know if he's on commitment watch. He might take his official visits. He might not, but is a guy that Mark Porter knows really well. And that's many are Lewis, the defense Ben Cleveland. And. Obviously Lewis, well, it kind of has a really interesting story as far as Ohio State's concern because he visited Ohio State in the spring. He had barely talked with Larry Johnson beforehand didn't have much contact from Ohio State at all. And then Larry even told them himself, I don't usually do this, but I'm going to offer you on the spot. He, if you want to give a classification, I would put him firmly in the tier three developmental category. But I think this is a guy with a lot of upside and Mark, I know you've scouted him. What do you think of his game?

17:16Very raw prospect. And in my report, that's exactly how I had him before Ohio State Ember entered the scene. And here's kind of like, when I say tier two in my report, Vince Marrow at Louisville, those type of guys pit, Michigan State, those guys are the ones that would develop a player like that. And then in two years, now you'd be like, how does that player have an NFL graph straight on him? And no one, you know, Ohio State saw it coming. They did, but we just never had to dip into this tier before. But there are a lot of players we're going to see, and we can almost classify it as the manure, the manure Lewis type, where over these next couple of years, we're going to see more types like this. They're 20 pounds light, but they have the frame. You know, they play at a school where the, maybe the lifting program isn't as developed, you know, and they're a little behind the curve there. There's not, they're playing three sports, because they're at a smaller school, okay, but the upside is still there. And so I think, when we talk these type of players, I have to make sure I say that, you know,

18:17NFL prospects have come from this type before, but it's not the highest hit rate. You know, you're kind of taking a risk here. Like, can he adapt to coming into a, and Ohio State from a smaller program, or whatever this type might be? But I tell you what, manure Lewis can get off the ball and rush the passer. And I think that's the trait that, if you're Larry Johnson, you say, how am I going to take a swing on somebody? That's the type of guy I'm taking a swing on. So modern wise, modern recruiting wise, the manure Lewis example is not only going to be applied to the talent, but whether or not he commits, because if Ohio State does not make him a priority, I don't believe he'll commit to Ohio State based on what I've learned. Michigan State is making him a priority. If you look at his 24-7 sports recruiting profile, he's warmed to Michigan State. And so that's what you're going to fight against now. When we go and offer these guys, that is a sign to everybody else that his long-term potential is sweet.

19:22And that makes it like we, I've told you this before, we used to wait until the last summer camp, Mark, I don't even remember this. The last summer camp Ohio State would have for Ohioans, heading into their senior year of high school. If they didn't get offered by Ohio State the next day, Michigan State would get like four commits the next day. That's a fact. I'm not kidding. That used to actually happen. Yeah. That's not as linear as it used to be. Or Kentucky, you know, same type of thing. Yes, occasionally, but Antonio had set up shop outside the shoe and was like, what they say? No, come on. And look, they beat him. BJ cutting him. Gerald worthy. Those guys made plays and in W's against Ohio State. Those are some names with some recall. Dan's digging in. Yeah. Second cup of coffee is kicked in as you can talk. Move. A moment of clarity. Let him go. Uh, I was going to try to name their high schools. I know where they went to Wayne. I know BJ went to Dublin something.

20:23He's from Columbus. Um, he was nasty. Anyway. Uh, So you needed Lewis. I think Michigan State, if you're just doing brass tax, we'll probably pay him more. Okay. So they bring him in. They're going to pay him more. He's probably closer to the field. Death chart wise. Okay. And we saw this. And we could call it the BP Miller example. BP Miller came to Ohio State. Not even as a wide receiver as a wide receiver. And I remember Mark and I discussing this. And we're like, yeah, if it doesn't work out, you can go to bowling green, maybe or Toledo and light it up. Does anyone remember BP Miller on the field last year for Ohio State? I'm raising my hand. I do not. He transferred to Washington. Washington has a receiver who's going to get picked. It may be in the first round or second round. Denzel Boston. So. I'm not even sure there's going to be a point in time where Ohio State is going to have to decide is BP Miller

21:23even worth the initial investment. That's another story entirely. But moonier literacy is one to watch because like Mark said, he comes from a program that's not super rigorous at brush. And they are all over. And he does have the offers. Either whatever Larry did, cute, everybody. All right. I mean, this discussion is really deep. Now that I have a son in this process and you say, okay. And for Ohio State offers you is that tier three type guy to come in and develop for a couple of years. You're a manure Lewis or BP Miller. You know, the path is so rough to get to the field in Ohio State. But the reward is so great. And for players like that, you kind of got to bet on yourself. And that's kind of the point. So it's a bet on me mentality where, hey, I know I can make it on the field of Ohio State. And I know I'm going to even though experts right now, you know, and five star people, I'm not a five star. But I bet my life on those guys being right. No, I wouldn't.

22:23You know, even myself, I would never send out any report and say, my life's on this one, you know, because things change. So, but these players like this, I think we're really going to have to watch how this happens this year. Even with the player, we're going to bring up and watch film of that's going to create an interesting discussion here. So, what? I was on the Ken State campus yesterday. We actually went to a Ken State practice yesterday morning. So that question is kind of synced up perfectly. I'll tell you what. Having kids who compete. At the college level, you can follow your child throughout his life and look at other people at similar stretches and say, are they checking those boxes? These spring break pictures of you and your friends. DJ Porter passes the test. He's much bigger than everyone else in the picture. And he's the quarterback. So that's what I look for you. Go look at all pictures of Drew Aller. And he's a monster in there.

23:25So, we are not yet started calling the show, the BM5 slash DJ Porter All-Star Edition. That will happen going into his junior year, if he gets an offer. Let's get that done. All right. Let's suck quarterbacks. Lamar Bo Jackson is, in my opinion, the most pressurized sports name ever given to a child. That it's going well. The mom's family was like, really? Watch this. First name, wonderful. Now, just think about anyone who's had a child being in the delivery room and actually going with wonderful. That's gutsy. And then you're like, if that wasn't enough, let's nickname him, just in case there's any confusion or like, you know, he goes into a class and someone else's name, wonderful. We'll just call you, champ. My daughter's name, Emma. I'm a class, she going now, by the way, 2.5, Emma's over under.

24:25So, I hope you like your last initial digression. Here's the question. And you might as well address it from the jump. We already have a quarterback committed in this class. What are we going to do, Garrett? Yeah. Champ Mons is a definite take. I, even if it doesn't work out in champ Mons, pick somewhere else, I think at this point, the writing seems to be on the wall, that Ohio State's going to take two quarterbacks in the 2027 class. I think that that's just kind of trending in that direction. It doesn't necessarily mean that they are going to kick Brady Edmonds to the curb or anything like that. Brady's been informed of this process. He's been informed that they're going to be looking around. And again, we've brought this up a ton of times on previous podcasts, but then how many signal collars we're on campus for Ohio States recruiting camps last June for the 2027 class? The world and elsewhere. That's what I'm saying. I don't know if there was a guy ranked within the top 15 or so

25:28prospects that didn't eventually make his way to Ohio State. So, I'm exaggerating a little bit, but Ohio State, Ryan Day and Billy Estler have all done their due diligence on signal collars everywhere. And wonderful champ Mons was near the top, if not the at the top of their 2028 board. And then he ends up reclassifying to the 2027 class. Now, wonderful visits Ohio State on April 4th, student appreciation day. And sometimes the best thing you can do in recruiting in terms of a covering in aspect is watch the actions, don't necessarily watch the words. And they were giving champ Mons the red carpet treatment at that practice that we were able to look at. He got, it wasn't a play sheet per se, but it was kind of a, it wasn't a play sheet. Okay, here's what we're trying to call this particular scrimmage. This is what we're going to call in the red zone. This is the concepts we're going to run. This is the defense you're going to see. I want you to envision yourself calling this play, being in this huddle,

26:28and see if you can think that that's a fit, right? He actually, if you look at the pictures from the event, you see the quarterbacks throwing in a line of students, all probably six foot and under. And then right behind the quarterbacks, a student who's six, four, oh, no, that's wonderful champ Mons. He's standing right there. Yeah, you know, I don't go ahead. So anyway, he was in the, near the huddle with Julian Sain, with Tavine Sainclair. He talked with Julian. He was very excited to meet Julian. And then I got the chance to talk to wonderful after the practice later on that evening. And he was very complimentary of Ohio State. He knew the elephant in the room per se that this is going to be a two quarterback class and you're not going to be the only quarterback committed to the class if you decide to come to Ohio State. And he said, I'm not scared. I'm going to have to compete with older guys anyway when I get on campus. So why wouldn't I compete with another guy in my own?

Or how he feels, but I take him at his word because the guy is a freak athlete and a true competitor by every stance of the definition. And I mean, you're going to see in the video the guy can flat out play. He's got the arm talent. He's got the mobility. He's got the awareness. The only thing I think that he's not more highly rated than he is is the experience. I believe he only appeared in five games last season

29:29because he sat behind the senior. But I've seen the guy enough at the camps to know that this guy has all the makings, all the frame you want in a division one Ohio State caliber quarterback. Mark, want to take the floor here? Yeah, and not for those of you playing at home. You please watch the first portion of this video. Yeah, and I didn't want to hijack Garrett's thing. And I don't want to become the DJ Porter and Mark Porter show here. But just as you were describing the treatment he got, my son and I were at Kent State yesterday. And I'm sure champ mods got better treatment than DJ Porter God. That's fair to say. But we were invited just like to make sure champ was to the meetings before the practice in the quarterback room. So, you know, eight a.m. yesterday, we're sitting there. And like you're saying, they give the recruits access to the script of practice. You know, and it was so interesting to see this behind the scenes look of each quarterback was picking the plays.

30:29They were running at practice today. The things they needed to work on. The down distance plays, the red zone plays. And you got that we got the watch film and go over the reads for the day. And you could kind of see the coaches. Really, it was almost like a recruiting thing for, hey guys, if you're a quarterback coming here, look how much fun we're having playing quarterback. Look, and I'm sure that's the experience that they're given the champ letting them have the script, letting him know the play coming. We got to stand behind the offense. And some of the defensive coordinator came over and said, hey, we're running man here, watch this. We're going to roll to cover three here. Watch this. And I tell you what, it makes you feel pretty good about yourself. So yeah, to see that type of red carpet rolled out for him, that's really cool. And I let you know that they're serious about this now. Is he taller than all the Kent State quarterbacks now? Boy, it's pretty close. Drew DeShield is probably only about 6-1 to starter for Kent. And I tell you what, he can run around pretty well and he can sling it. But this guy right here, wonderful months, 6-2 to 24,

31:31224 pounds. I tell you what, that's where he gets his power from. He's throwing some strikes here. These first three or four shots down the middle. And these are big time lasers. You know, where the ball isn't very high off the ground. It's frozen rope territory where there is no rainbow on this. I mean, these are some shots. And then we'll go into a series of his deep balls to show off the arm strength. We're even going to show him off on the move and running. He's not a great runner. Okay, let's not say he's going to be Braxton Melder. Let's say he's JT Barrett. Okay, that's very fair of Dwayne Haskins, even CJ Stroud. I think just for a pro comparison, he kind of looks like Steve McNair. He's got that big, strong body at 6-2, where Steve McNair was a 230 pounder. At 224 pounds at this young of an age, there's a lot of that resemblance there. I mean, some of the shots he throws in here,

That's a flick throw, where you just say, okay, you know, I see it and I'm just going to react with my arm and my feet aren't in the best position, but I can make it work. Yeah, but he doesn't have that happy feet. You know what I'm saying? He's not panicking. I think he just knows his arm is so damn strong, he can get rid of it. Calm Feet, he's been well coached. You know, he has a quarterback coach, you can tell. He doesn't, he's a rotational guy, where you can see him get the hips through, but he's not totally stepping. You can get into all those intricacies of, you know, but short, quick throwing motion, explosive thrower. You know, like we're saying, there's a lot to like about this kid. And if you're Brady Edmonds and you're having this kid in your class, get ready to compete. And for Ohio State fans, you're going to get the best of one of these two guys. I mean, welcome to the cage match guys. If this guy commits to Ohio State, yeah, the Steve McKinnick comparison, I see people put in there. I'll take it too. I mean, he was a warrior. You can't compare those type of traits yet,

33:32but that body style is something that was a rugged body style if you remember Steve McKinnick there. I've said this before. I think quarterback recruiting should be separate from all other, I would do it. Like if I was running things, I would have a separate ranking for everybody and then quarterbacks, just because I'll give you, I'll say it like this. I could make an argument that even if you know you're not going to get on the field, it's probably advantageous to commit to Ohio State if they want you. Because let's look at the track record. Also, keep this in mind. We've gotten away from talking about this. It's something that will be lauded for days 10 year. There was a 24 year gap between first round quarterbacks picked and the first round out of the big 10. Kerry Collins, 24 years go by, Dwayne Haskins. And then it was Dwayne Haskins,

34:32Joe Burrow, who I still take credit for on some level, and would certainly fit the argument that I'm trying to make here. Justin Field, C.J. Stroud, Kyle McCord came here. Now, I'm not sure it went as well how he wanted. He did find it Syracuse. He certainly got himself drafted there. And then, when I was going to say, it's Lincoln Keynoes is going to kind of be the new test case. If he goes out and starts to show what he can do at Louisville, and by the way, not only would I love to see that, I think it's relatively predictable. I watched, I watched a, because I am a nerd, I watched a podcast that the old PFF guys did, by the way, PFF, we hardly knew you, where they did a draft of college, if every person was eligible, meaning freshman up, put it this way in this draft,

35:32our real race went 14th, but the first non-quarterback taken was Jeremiah Smith, but they actually picked Mendoza first, which surprised me. The number two pick was Arch Manning. The number three pick was Julian Sayon, and the guy who picked them talked about the competition between him and Arch. They basically think that, saying is the next drew breeze. Take that for what it's worth. They also talked about how they're shocked at the angst that nationally people have about saying and when overall is statistics, they're spectacular, just so you know, Julian Sayon was the number one rated college player by PFF last year, not quarterback, not linebacker, number one overall player. I'm going to hijack this a little more, and this is the point you're making. You're bringing two quarterbacks in a class,

36:32and of course, I had my son down at Ohio State, and that's not something that's going to happen for him, but there is a scenario where, hey, they bring in a second quarterback, and I kind of said to him, I go, what if the second quarterback they bring in as you to develop for a couple of years? And they see some upside down the road or your size, whatever, they see something. It might be advantageous, even if you know that the chances of you starting are 20% or 10% by your senior year, and it's a long haul, a grind, you know, you're putting in a lot of time. But in this day and age, to be coached by that staff, and you saw a tight Simpson state, I went against the Alabama defense, every day in practice for three or four years. Not playing by the way in games. Yeah, like in practice. Yeah, like every day in practice, I had to line up against them. So that type of experience, when you do transfer out, and you may end up getting drafted as you transfer, but that could prepare you, let's say DJ's a Robert Morris kid,

37:33or a Villanova, or an Ivy League kid. Well, you can go transfer to that after your second year of playing for Ohio State and still have that career, but maybe be much more prepared because you were coached by NFL preparers, guys that were preparing, everyone on that team to go to the NFL, which they prepared you for, or whatever, the speed of the game there, all those things. You know, you kind of look at, you're like, it's insane to go be the second quarterback there, but for your own personal development, if you're thinking big picture, I either win the job here, and everything works out, or in two years, I'm going to go find a soft landing spot. So I think that little scenario is the way you would look at it, if you're coming in as a two running backs, two quarterbacks, whatever it may be. So, and Gary started me off on this trail last night, asking questions about DJ's. That's right. It's a full DJ thing today. If you are good enough to even get on to Ohio State's team,

38:33and transfer, every single Ivy League team will take you sight unseen. It's, that's the truth. Yeah, you're in, they're in great shape. Look, like I said, and quarterback is different, even two, I think three years ago, and I say this stat a lot too, more than half the starting quarterbacks had transferred. Fernando Mendoza is getting picked first overall, transfer, and from Berkeley to Indiana. Now, I know those schools are, Indiana's kind of bubbled up, but I don't remember Berkeley to Indiana being the NFL pipeline before, for this. On the number two pick, like Mark said, Tyson Simpson, he's a one year starter, basically. So, I mean, there he was being encouraged to transfer because they have the, the Parcelsian theory that if you haven't started, at least 30 college games, you flame out. So, and just to reverse that, thinking, DJ could go to a smaller school, play, play really good for two years, be all conference,

39:33and then, this Ohio State come knocking, that Ohio State could get a quarterback this year, that's a little farther down the deck chart that has a year left of eligibility that's bounced. I mean, so there's all kinds of different ways to fry this fish. You know, but, I think, because we're talking about possibly two quarterbacks at Ohio State, and Brady Edmonds is more talented, the DJ quarter. You know, so, but if you're those two quarterbacks, that's the mentality, I think you've got to have in the back of your head. I either win this job, or I have a safe landing spot somewhere else, after being trained by the best. And also, I would say this, if we're going to get geek out on this, and this current, climate, you're getting recruited by more than one person, more than one program. You've got them on the line going forward, too. No, don't napalm the bridge, as it were. You're going to have connections. And that's another thing. Tampering, et cetera. You don't, no worries. If you can play, they'll find you now. In fact,

40:33I know for the draft, the Mac schools have not gotten as much love, because they, the NFL people have said, everyone's transferred up. Water's men, it's level. We don't need to spend as much time at the smaller schools, because everyone who can contribute has already transferred up. Yeah. As I talk to some of those Mac schools, as I'm getting around, it's unbelievable how their rosters are being picked. And some of those four league. Yeah, where they have backup players that are being picked off of their rosters. And, and being paid it, sums of money that you just shake your head out. And the coaches are like, the kids not that good yet. Like I've heard that multiple times where they bought something that they're never going to get their rewards out of, but because they have the money and they're filling out their roster, they just treat us like the minor leagues. I don't know why this is. Basketball is a little bit more carnivorous in the discussion of it. They don't care. And Garrett brought up a great point earlier. And this is happening in football.
