What does Rav stand for anyway? To me, it's the remarkably advanced vehicle. Really? To me, it's the runway approved vehicle for its amazing style. What about remarkably adaptable vehicle because of its versatile cargo space? Or really admired vehicle? Oh, or really awesome vehicle. It really is the recreational activity vehicle. This stylish 2026 Toyota Rav4 Limited, what's your Rav4?

It's the Bob and Tom Show. You love his playing speaking, straight shooting, no nonsense approach to solving colors problems. You tune into his nationally syndicated talk show every day to hear the wise insight and savvy advice he gives to his colors. You see, Collar, what you got there is a can opener. You use it to open cans. Can you know, Per? I never made the connection. Thanks, Mr. Rav4. You're a lifesaver. That's what I'm here for, Collar. He's Mr. Rav4. America's favorite answer man. There's not a situation that he can't handle with his sage like wisdom and his quick draw wit. Well, wait, not what, not Collar? And now, Bob and Tom Productions is proud to present a side of Mr. Rav4. You've never heard before. Oh, I hit my ass. I'm a f***ing damn that smart.

Oh, was my mic on? Now, you can hear for the first time, the Mr. Rav4 that the censors didn't want you to hear. It's Mr. Rav4 too hot for radio. Mr. Rav4 too hot for radio. We can't even play it for you in this commercial. It's just too hot. So Mr. Rav4 aside, I can't figure out why it's not working. Oh, well, I can tell you why it's not working. Oh, yeah. Why is that? It's because you're a stupid f***ing idiot. It's not working, you dumb f***ing dumb. Cut. John, you can't save it on the air. Look, I'm sorry, but what the f***ing... This dip f***ing doesn't even operate as toaster. Come on, Bill. Don't we have anyone screening these f***ing m calls? All right, all right, settle down, John. Don't settle down, John. And where the f***ing are those pictures I was supposed to see? Get down on the foot. If I don't get those f***ing pictures here by two o'clock,

I'm gonna walk off this mother f***ing. You give me Bill. I'm not f***ing you. I've got f***ing too money. You know what that means, Bill? That means I've got enough money and I can say f***ing too well. I'll give you some decent f***ing m callers on the phone. These calls are ponderous, huh? Ponderous. All right, John. We'll take care of it. And where's my orange smoothie? F***ing damn it. I asked for a f***ing orange smoothie like f***ing 20 minutes ago. Mr. Obvious. Raw. Uncut. Uncensored. So you see my point, Collar? Um, but... No, I don't, Mr. Obvious. It's gotta be the stoop of this f***ing thing I've ever done. I'm sorry, wait a minute. What did you say, you piece of f***ing word, mate? Look, we've got Collar ID. I'm gonna have a couple of my gorillas down there getting medieval on your ass. How do you like that, Mr. Tuffy? Huh? I'll make you think stoop of this f***ing thing you ever heard. I'll be watching from my yacht while the cops are fishing your bloated carcass out of the f***ing river next week, now. Hey, look, take an easy, Mr. Obvious. I was just kidding.

Oh, yeah, I just kidding. I sound like you just made the connection, right? You just made the f***ing connection. Did you bother f***ing? Do order, Mr. Obvious. Do you have a radio? Call 1-800-E-B-B-B. That's 1-800-E-B-B-B. It's so, Mr. Obvious. That was the last time I ever saw her alive. Oh, I'm sorry, Collar. You've obviously mistaken me for someone who gives you f***ing- Don't be a f***ing moron. Order your tips today. Oh, he is. Oh, man, that's certainly his do-ot-for-a-you. That's not obvious, that's a heck of a temper. But I'm on a bad day. That's right, ladies and is the Bob and Tom, SHILT. We are live from the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. We've been off a long holiday weekend.

There's Kristi Lee at the news desk. Hi. And Pat Godwin's there. Hello, he's got his guitar and his keyboard for us. There's Jeff Osgate. Hello, friend. He's at the sports desk. He's at the engineering board. Hi. I'm Josh Arnold and there's Tom Tom, how the heck are you? Oh, good. You got... You reminded everybody, I guess, that this is the beginning of for almost everybody a long weekend. Mm-hmm. Yep. I'm relaxing already. In fact, I'm so relaxed I had done no preparation. Heck yeah. Oh, today was the Friday before a three-day run. Or for the weekend. For the weekend. Oh, you're even... Oh, yeah. You're just going to wing it? I hope so. Oh, that'd be nice, wouldn't it? The usual stuff isn't there. The kid soccer game, all that stuff's canceled. They don't do it. Oh, because of the holiday or miss traveling. Yeah, yeah, so great. So yeah, I mean, it's going to be just open season on doing nothing. I'm very excited. Why don't you get in your pool for the next time? That's why I was just going to suggest. I haven't been in that pool.

I haven't been in that yet. I know. This is the weekend. This is a good weekend for us. Yeah, okay, good. I'll do that. It's hot. You have a dip to to win? No. Are you kidding? I'm not. I'm just going to go over there push you in. No jokes. Yeah, you could have a dip. As long as you don't get in. Christie has an idea. We've got an idea. An impromptu pool party for your closest friends, all of us here at the station. That's not going to happen. I tried. No party. No party. No party. You know, we have, of late we have been doing whatever day in national so and so day. Yeah. And sometimes they're just so boring. I don't mention them. Right. What's today? Well, not today, but September 1st was national forgiveness day. Well, that's nice. It is nice. You asked bags. Didn't remind me so you're dead to me. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Well. You're saying. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I forgot to look it up today too.

I'll have to. Oh, that's easy to do. There's that calendar of national. What are they? There's like a list of 10 or something. It's crazy. It's not as if in some cases they're made official by the United States Congress or some body that has some, I guess something more esteemed, which would be virtually any body. But, but, but yeah, we'll see. Did you find what it is today? Today is September 4th. Let's see. National Wildlife Day. Okay. Oh, this is a good one. National lazy mom day. Again, not really sanctioned by any distinguished body. National Macadamia Nut Day. Oh, those are delicious. Macadamia Nut Association. National Spice Blend Day. All right. That's ridiculous. You can, your mom, Christy, you can sit around on your ass and eat Macadamia nuts. Exactly. And. I spice them up. Covering garlic powder. And wash it down with a kiyote because it's a national kiyote day.

Oh. I love a good kiyote. Is that the one that comes in the basket? Yeah, sometimes yes. Yes. An Italian red. Well, that's a wine. Yes. I'm not a wine guy. So don't, I don't know. You didn't have the basket with the candle in it. Remember the wine bottle or the basket and the candle in it? I never had. You'd see that occasionally. Oh, yeah. You could go to some chicks house. Yeah, she's got three Melanie albums. I decided, well, I'm glad this isn't a high rise. I'd jump out. I don't. I don't think she had three, oh, she had more bush than. I'll never make that call. Oh, try to guess. You know, I haven't. It's pretty easy, actually. Well, that's a fun game. Yeah. What do you think about me? I like it. OK. I'm in. I mean, if you see, I imagine he'd pluck your, the grateful dead chicks, you know, that, that, that weird serongs and

Julie, you know, that there's not a lot of shaving going on down there. Oh, yeah, I can't imagine. Hey, even the bugs need a place to sleep. Oh, boy. Well, coming up, today's show, we're going to talk with our good friend, comedian Nick Griffith in the studio. All right. With Nick Griffith, very handsome man, maybe we can fix him up with somebody. He may have a girlfriend. I think he does. Really? Yes. Oh, well, that's good. Even if he doesn't, he certainly doesn't need our advice on. We had a good week this week when it came to Ali brain show. Oh, I think I didn't think we helped. Anyway, we never had a lot of those people just did simply in my, did not deserve help. No, no, no, I think my favorite was the, if I'm not mistaken, it was a woman writing in saying they were doing role playing and her boyfriend. No, I really bring this up again. That was the first one. That was the worst one. And the worst water to pretend you was disabled. Can you get in the, what is it? Christine and the lawn pose?

You're out on your own island. Oh, boy, oh, boy. Nobody helped me here. No. You know, the famous painting. No, we all know. Oh, yeah, okay. God. No, it's just nice to know that it's out there. And I can feel really good today because I'm not going to be doing that later on. You know, it faced that, but what painting I'm doing right now. The scream. Oh, Pat, I tell you what, we have time. Let's open with the song, shall we? Oh, boy. This is, this is also a tricky one. No, I think, you want to do this and buy yourself or do you want Christine to help you this time? What do you want her to do that one? She can help me. It's fun. This is the Tiger Woods tribute. Christine, do you remember your part? Yes. You sure you got your three notes down? Okay. Because this requires piano and guitar, which Pat can't play at the same time necessarily. Yeah, yesterday Tiger Woods lost his driver's license for five years. He pleaded no contest to reduce charges. Stimming from this roll over crash, he will be allowed to drive a golf cart in Florida.

He was fined also $1,500. I have a question. $1,500. The, um, the, um, no contest thing. Yes, sir. Can you plead contest and then they, they bring out. Yes. Yeah, like, oh, yeah. Like, amazing. You got some announcer comes out. All right, Tiger. I love that idea. We had three curtains. One of them has a 2027 Range Rover guaranteed to flip over if you turn it too quickly. What kind of card was it or what did he flip over? I'm a Genesis. A Genesis. A Genesis. Nice car. Pretty hard to flip over. You've got a really hit that steering wheel quickly. Flip it over. But, yeah, so, uh, now this is a tribute to Tiger Woods. Is that correct? Yeah. Tiger got busted for a DUI. He wasn't drunk, but it was probably high. He wouldn't let him take a year and screen off.

Cause in, know is that his pissing plane. Tiger let me drive your car. Oh, we should have a, per se. Okay. All right. So, take two little sisters playing with the, fortunately, this show isn't live. Roll the tape back. Okay. Tiger let me drive your car. To the pharmacy in corner bar. Tiger let me drive your car. Yeah, we'll stop at a perk is. Fisty Lee. Call the president. Sit in the back. Take a perk is that watch cat is shack. Oh, no one gets certain. No, do you? Eyes. No flipping costs to three four times. Tiger let me drive your car. Oh, sweet. And off you superstar. Yes.

Tiger let me drive your car. We'll stop at a hooter. Peep peep peep. Yeah. Oh, there you go. Thank you very much. Coat of there. Yeah, Christie Lee on the, on the keyboard. There a little bit of that. And I'll be at the local holiday in to right here. Fighting and dancing pleasure. I would go to that little tribute to the Beatles. Now, once again, coming up, comedian Nick Riffin will be joining us in the studio. Yesterday we had a really fun discussion about, about us, but primarily automobiles and how they've changed so much and things that they don't have anymore. We got a couple letters about that topic. Yeah, we do. There's also stuff around the house that you don't have anymore. We're going to talk a little about that today. Things that every house used to have that very few have now. Mom and dad. I'm on the dad. And going for the jugular. She's on fire. It's like a milk chute. Yeah.

My house had a milk chute. Anybody else? No. No, no box. Why no? We had a milk box. A milk box. Yeah, we had a milk box. Outside the front door. Yeah, the milk chute was a pat. You're looking at me like, wouldn't the glass bottles break? Yes, it was a little risky back in the 50s. It was a pass through. And it was about, I would say, I don't know, 18 inches by 18 inches, squinting the head, a little, like a dog door. A little handle. Yeah, but it was obviously up off the ground and like threes you'd off the ground. And the milk man would come by and open that up. And they had these really cool stepvans that they drove. The milk man guy had to get the milk right away or it's oil, wouldn't he? I'd. I guess I guess women were always home then. That must be what it was because, you know, we had the milk box. So he didn't sell milk in the grocery. Back then. Yeah, I don't know why. I don't know why they were so popular. I could remember the milk man and he had the, uh, at the weird hat on. You know, like,

you live in a 50-sit condo. A lot of the like the seed captains hat thing. Any wore a uniform. Born in Mr. G. All white. Yeah. Yeah, precisely. Actually, they were, but they were adults. So when I was a kid, you were terrified of all adults. Remember when you were little and you thought you thought adults knew what they were doing? Remember those days? Yeah. I certainly do. And you could, and you could be bossed around by any adult. If not spanked. Oh, yeah. You, you listened. You know, now kids know their rights. That's no good. Uh, now we'll get to all those fun things coming up. We hope to hear from you. You can email us bobbentom at bobbentom.com. What's on your mind, Kristi Lee? Well, it's the holiday weekend. Maybe you want a new car. Well, it would be a great time to check out the Hyundai Getaway sales event. Right now you can get a deal on some of their wonderful models like the all-electric Ionic 5 or Ionic 9. These cars look great. They run amazing and they charge really super fast. If you're an SUV type person, the Hyundai Santa Fe or Santa Fe hybrid

is waiting for you at your local Hyundai dealer. Oh, don't write off that two son or two son hybrid, my friend. Get to your local Hyundai dealer this weekend and get it away with the deal you'll love. It's the Hyundai Getaway sales event. Visit HyundaiUSA.com for all the details. Thanks very much, Kristi Lee. Another beer heist in the news. Oh, what's going on? I don't know what's happening in the world. Also, um, we have one of the Igg Nobel Prize winners. Didn't we talk about one of them? We talked about this, um, The underwear thing, right? This is the one involving urinals and we talked about this invention when it first came out, but it has won the prize. Also, this is interesting to me. I was not aware of this. You'll be quite surprised at what is becoming one of the biggest pizza chains in the United States and your hint is it's a gas station. We'll find out what I'm talking about when we return to the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studio. This is the Bob and Tom Show. Hey, it's the Bob and Tom Show live

from the O'Reilly Auto Parts studios. Kristi Lee is literally digging through a trash can. Got it. Kristi, I'll loan you some money. I'll loan you some money. There's Pat Godwin. Hello. Jeff Oscar, the sports desk. Hey, man. Ace Cosby's there. I'm Josh Arnold and we have some letters coming up. Just a quick reminder. Get into the Hyundai Getaway sales event. Get away with a deal so right. It almost feels wrong. Visit HyundaiUSA.com for details. And thank you, Hyundai for sponsoring our letters from listeners. If driving you is right, I don't want to be wrong. Wait a minute. Is that all the song goes? Okay, good. Thanks, Brian. Now, I'm just enjoying my confusing coffee order. Oh, yeah. Is it something new? Yeah, what I've been doing lately is getting a coffee in the afternoon from one of my favorite coffee places. Nice. And then putting in the refrigerator and then drinking it cold the next morning. All right. So when I get it, I order an iced coffee with no ice.

How does that work? How do you get it iced if there's no ice in it? So I put in the refrigerator all night. So you just order a coffee? No. Yeah, okay. So they give you a, I don't want to, I don't want a hot one. See, this is what's confusing when I say to the guy, look, I'd like a, like a coffee. You make no sense. No, it's, I want an iced coffee with no ice in it. He might maybe shakes it in ice and then pours it through that sifter deal. Oh, yeah, could be, but it's so that it arrives cold, but then I take it home and put it in the fridge. So I'm, I'm not prepared. I'm not preparing my straw. And this morning, do you add coffee or ice to it? I just did, yes. So like right now, as you can hear, we have ice. Why wouldn't you just get a coffee and put it in the fridge and then put ice in it tomorrow? Yeah. The water will, uh, it'll warm up the refrigerator. Oh, you mean a hot, it'll warm up the refrigerator. Oh, no. No, no, no. It's not the refrigerator. Oh, no. I was curious about him. Never use him as pool. Now I'm even matter. Right. Oh my gosh. But I actually, I know of it opportunity to use my latest thing, the two-sided

bobbin tom morning breath club stirring paddle. Oh boy. He's great. Oh, don't give him. Yeah, he used it right. You're using it wrong. Yeah, you use it upside down. No, I'm not. You put the paddle in the, in the water. I mean, in the, in the, with the nice ink there. Yeah, I've joined the poisoning. It's not poison to psilocybin. Okay. A time to get to our letters. Well, that does remind me. I'm the new morning breath club. New, the new shirts are out with the great morning breath club logo on them. And we also have the bobbin tom university shirts out. They're the, the pumpkin hollow bean shirts, the cool camo hoodies. They're all a job. bobbin tom.com and the pop up store. Give you something to do this weekend. Spend some time. They're a really cool. I'm really pleased with this batch. Thanks to Jess Hookerford. Working on all these things. Now, we are going to get to our letters. Brought to you by Hyundai. And who's got the first one? We got car letters. A lot of them. This is from Lisa. Just here to reaffirm the massiveness of the Pontiac Bonneville.

My first car was a Bonneville at the age of 16. I'm only five foot one. Had to sit on two pillows just to see over the front end, which was like 27 feet long. She said it felt like anyway. More than once though, we did fit several friends in the trunk. And so you can do the drive in all that classic. That reminds me most cars these days have, I don't know, I think at least mind us, an electronic thing with the seat. We're not only can you take it back, but you can raise it up. Yep, mind us. You can change the way it tilts. Yep. So you can see over the day. Back in the day, you'd reach down there to your left and you'd push that slider thing up and you could go back and forth. Right. That was it. There was no other mode on it. And I remember talking to, I had a friend of mine that was a Volvo guy, sold Volvo's. And they had a member of an NBA team come in. And they had to put, they took out part one of the back seat.

They put extra sliders. I know who that was because I know that person. Yeah, they put extra sliders on the seat so he could go because the guy seven feet, what I've had before. Yeah. So that'd be kind of cool. I was thinking about that though, wouldn't you be looking out the rear window on your left? Oh, yeah. You're pretty far back. For sure. This is cool. We're all out of 1960s Nash Rambler with a chrome Kleenex box that would swivel out and mounted under the front dash. Wow. Yeah. That's kind of interesting. There were some oddities along the way at one point. Well, we talked about the bar and the Cadillac, remember? Yeah. And there were ash trays, of course. Yeah. There was at one point, I was reading about Elvis had a Cadillac that had a record player in the console that it was kind of hard to keep the towing arm from bouncing. So I, apparently when you'd put records on it, it would sort of you could see the plastic being sheared off as a one-truth of the groove.

Yeah, that would make sense. This is a letter from Bruce in Evansville, Indiana. He said, you guys forgot one important thing about cars back in the day. And we did. This is, I don't think any cars have this anymore. The Side Vent Window. Oh, yeah. Where did he had your window? Oh, hell yeah. It was a crank window then in front of the window was that little triangular window. Yeah. That my ant would always open about two inches. So it would give a, like I, sound the entire drive up to Michigan. Was she a smoker? Oh, yeah. That was the smoking vent. Yeah, kents. But it didn't get rid of all the smoke. So, oh, but yeah, that's another thing. I don't do, do any cars have ash trays anymore? I, I don't think so. So I think maybe you could order it special. Really? That'd be cool. The, uh, I don't know. That wouldn't be a smart idea. I was at an event the other day and the lady gave me a bean bag ash tray. I meant to bring it in. So on my desk, I was going to sit it right here. She was, I heard you talking about this and I, I thought you'd want it.

And I go, gee, thanks. She was, now I don't want you to start smoking. But I hear as your ash tray. I go, all right. A Scott writes, the thing I miss most about older cars and trucks was the ability to work on the engine and actually find and actually find the engine. Exactly. Yeah, there's a more. There's a more excessive. Yeah. My friend, my best friend growing up, he had a 70s Buick Electra. And you couldn't park in a normal space. Like, he would hang too far out. Like you had to find one you could kind of pull through on. Sure. But it would hold three kegs laying down in the trunk. That's impressive. That is beautiful. And how would it ride if you had three kegs in the back? Awesome. No kidding. The front end went up like this. Yeah, I could tell. And because they were all still in high school, they could fit more people down. They were all skinny then. Oh no, we put five across the back seat, three across the front and three kegs in the back. It was awesome. We were talking about things that no longer exist in cars. And this is from Rick. Rick says, we have an old Chevy with crank windows and decided to take it down to

Route 66 this year. My 20 year old daughter who had not ridden in it since she was a toddler went along. At one point, she asked, how the heck do you put this window down? She didn't know what the crank was for. Yeah. Yeah. And there is a, as was pointed out, actually, there is some new vehicle coming out. Truck that's going to return to the crank window. Yeah. It's the truck itself is a bare bones. Yeah. And you add all the things that you want on it. Yeah. I can't believe you're, oh, this is a return to the paper plate technique of picking up dog poop. Okay. Which I've talked about massively and I don't want to breed it. It's too much. But you just, you take a paper plate cut in half and it becomes, you can scoop it up. It's part of a whole system that I have. You introduced this a while ago, Tom. I've been using to clean up dog issues. My toddler recently tipped a dozen eggs on the floor and I scooped, uh, scooped it up. Oh, using that technique. And the technique, once again, to take the paper plate cut in half and you use both hands and, uh, you can dust pan it up if you will.

And recently, uh, scooped up two of our four state fair dead fish. Oh, then our cat got out of the tank after clawing his way through the screen top. Your fellow OCD clean freak. The way I will like to let you know that my goal fish from the state fair two years ago, uh, sprinkles. Is it sprinkles or sparkle? I can't remember what you named it. It's thriving. Still alive. It's there for two years. You can't remember what you named it. I didn't name it. How hard did I think it, yeah, I think it's sprinkle. I'm not sure. Okay. But it's, it's alive and well. A special hello going out to Steve and his wife yesterday having drinks at the bar harbor bar in Harbour Springs, Michigan. Oh, right up your alley. Delightful whether that's where Bob and I met. There's a plaque there honoring that by the way. There is. Yeah. Very cool. Yeah. Yeah. I've recently got a really good picture of all to post it. Yeah, I've been in there with you. A picture, really good picture of the outside. Christy, what else you got? I thought was my last letter.

Uh, yesterday we were talking about butt breathing. Or breathing oxygen three years. Yeah, well, this was a scientific study. No, no, yes it was. They were able to in an emergency situation in which the airway was blocked. They theorized they would be able to oxygenate people through their rectum. Well, according to Mark from Wichita, he suggests we've referred to butt breathing as gris welding. Tom would be immortal. Yeah. Like he's not already. Well, thank you. I'm all I think that's kind of an utter. We've also been talking about lyrics that we've misinterpreted. And I'll sometimes our version of them is better than the than the artist version. This one is um, a kind of a legend in the world of lyrics. It was a cover of Bruce Springsteen song by Madford Man. You know where this is going, Christine? I do. Yeah, I do. Yeah, this was this was a famous one. And I'm not sure if the band did it because they were.

They'd listen to the Bruce Springsteen version or if they just were copying it off of the a lyric sheet, but uh here's the a little taste of it. It's wrapped up like a douche. Yeah, and the lyric is a douche. Yeah. What's still doesn't make sense. Yeah, what do you wrap it up? Like a douche? I I've always thought he meant a douche like a douche coupe. Yeah, is it not wrapped up like a douche? Oh, that would make a lot more sense. Yeah, I didn't know that was a springsteen. Roughed up makes more sense. It's a Bruce Springsteen song. Blinded by the light. I didn't know that. That was the man for man for it's wrapped up like a douche. Oh, the man for man for a long time. It was a big hit. It was a big hit. But it does kind of sound like he says a douche. But it is indeed douche. And I'm assuming a douche coupe.

Yeah. Yeah. And I only know about that from the Beach Boys song. A little douche coupe. A little douche coupe. You don't know what I got. Uh, Dear Bob and Tom Show on the topic of misunderstood lyrics. My daughter always thought rock the casbaw was rock the cat box. Oh, God. Yeah, why wouldn't she? Yeah, I like that. Thank you. Stella and Pensacola. That'd be uh, that'd be a great commercial for one of the uh, cat litter brands. That would be pretty good. I would have. What if those revolutionary sand and east of boys would want to sanction that if the check was big enough? That's one of those songs that just always sounds new to me. It never sounds like it's old. You know what I mean? Yeah, it is great. It doesn't age, I guess is. Good stuff. Yeah. Dave writes in the sixth read we had to write a paper about a song. A song that had three things in it. So I chose Cher's song. I thought she was saying Gypsy's tramps and flees. No.

It's Gypsy's tramps and flees. Yeah. Yeah. And uh, we have learned it from the people. The term Gypsy no longer uh, I supposed to use that. No. Yeah. The term uh, what do they call travelers? What is it? Oh, I'm not done. I don't know what they're supposed to call it. And I did not know the term gypt was uh, from Gypsy's. I thought Gypt was like JIP. It's not. It's I didn't know Gypsy's didn't dress like they do in the movies. I thought they all had to dress like that. Uh, with a big headscarf. Yeah. And the flowing robes and or skirts and uh, Dear Bob and Tom show. My wife thought the words to money for nothing were money for nothing and checks for free. Yeah, I mean that that work that makes me nice, nice commercial for a bag. Although the world of checks I assume that's kind of gone away. What do you write checks? So good to check. I get I write a check every now and then. Ace does. I know that. All right. When floated for that? I don't know. Yeah. Oh yeah. Remember those days? More like those days these days, you mean?

Write it on a Friday party all weekend. You got it. The State of New York Joe writes and this is one of the, this is one of the sort of urban classics. The credence song, bad moon rising. There's a bathroom on the right. There's a bathroom on the right. That's kind of been ingrained into literature at this, at this point. Now, coming up, we're going to invade the world of sports once again. We're also going to find out about things that we talked about things in cars that have changed so much things in households that have changed a great deal. Things that we used to all have in our houses that probably we don't have. We don't have anymore. Also, while coming up in the news, penguins in the news in an odd way. Another beer heist, a bizarre, really odd story coming out of Mount Everest, and a tremendously weird world record. And also a folding television set. I just saw that they're bringing someone's bringing back the folding phone.

Have you seen that? There's a, there's already a folding phone. And Samsung make one. Yeah. It came out last year. And I guess another big one coming out. But this is a folding television set. Weird. Yeah. And it's incredibly expensive. I'm not exactly sure what the point is. And then we do have an etiquette question today, which will explore when you go to somebody's house and they ask you to take your shoes off. What is your response? We'll see you. I had a feeling survey says, right now, money talk. If you're a homeowner, I got news for you. Your host, your host, your house, I'm sorry. It's probably worth more than I was if you've been living there for a while. If you've been living there for five years, it's probably worth 30% more, maybe even more than that. Depends on the situation, obviously. You can take advantage of that by which I mean, you can kind of cash in without selling your house. By refinancing, that's what they do at American financing. You can perhaps, I don't know, consolidate that credit card debt, where you're paying 20% interest and pay some of those off, maybe put in a new kitchen, whatever you want.

You can do it, of course, by taking advantage of the fact that there's a lot more equity in your house than there used to be. American financing can help you out. They got a program right now that can delay two mortgage payments for some folks. They also have zero upfront fees. And they're asking you to try to lock in a lower rate because interest rates may be going up real soon. Call American financing 866-889-2611. You'll find them at Americanfinancing.net. In about 10 minutes, you know if this is going to work for you. So your house may be worth more take advantage of that equity. Once again, Americanfinancing.net. Got something to say. Send us an email. Bob and Tom at bobandom.com. Hey, it's the Bob and Tom show. We are live from the O'Reilly Auto Parts studios. I am stifling a sneeze as we speak. There's Christie Lee at the news desk. Follow. And now it's gone. That's that is. Now I have blue nose. There's Pat Godwin. We got Oscar's across the way to board his desk. There's Ace Cosby. The Zoom type. Thank you. I wish. I wish. Don't you hate that. You tell a bunch of people, wait a minute. I got a sneeze and then you don't. Yeah. And it's you're kind of letting them down. And your whole body is just disappointed in a way. I don't feel right now. My eye is on the channel. There's Tom. I know when you're driving. You know you got a big one coming. It's a tricky intersection. There are pedestrians and kids, you know. Coming up to close mice for a second. Yep. I wonder if that's over the last thing somebody did. The sneeze in a car. Like one of those guys, one of those guys. Free climbing a cliff.

Oh. Exactly. Yes. You wonder if, wait a second. A choo and then, ah, putting me in a choo. It's probably happened sadly. We were talking just a lot about cars and how they changed. And they have changed a lot. In many, in many good ways, I was talking to a guy that's a emergency room physician. Yeah. And he was saying that this kind of a weird thing going on. Contemporary cars are a lot safer. You know, with airbags and the construction, most cars are much, much safer than they were back in the day. So it's, he was saying making the point. It's kind of harder. It's, it's a little more difficult to get killed in a car these days. Thank goodness. But on the other hand, with people not paying attention to what they're doing while driving because of phones, it's sort of something. It's sort of evening out. Sadly, but. Technology helping and hindering at the same time. Yeah. Yeah. But we talked about a lot of the differences.

And I'd forgotten about a bunch of, I'd forgotten about. Christy mentioned the, the, the, the door locks on the car. They had that bulb on the top. So you'd reach over and you could, you could get a grip on it to pull them up and hurt them down. And you, pathage, you ever do the thing you had to take a hanger and stick it through the window and grab the top of the lock and pull it up. Oh, yeah. But I did, like I said, I remembered buying aftermarket versions of those lock little lock shafts that didn't have the bulb on it that was supposedly make it harder to steal your car. Oh. Oh, yeah. But if you think about it, houses and the, where, the way we live in many other ways, there are things that aren't around much anymore. Land lines are much, much less common in houses. Do you have a phone book in your house, Christy? No. I don't have a landline anymore, either. But you remember how they used to be? You'd get the yellow pages in the phone book. They'd put them in a baggie and stick them by your mailbox. Oh, yeah. Then there was a period of time in era in which you would take them immediately

throw them in the garbage can. They just have a recycle bin just for those. Remember that? Those days have kind of gone away. Waiting for a check to clear. Is that still a thing? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's my neighborhood. Yeah, we know. Yeah, we know. How about this, a roll of decks? You see those in movies all the time. But I mean, do you? No, I don't have one. How about a TV with an antenna? No. Because I can remember the days of taking a piece of aluminum foil. Mm-hmm. So you get better reception? Yeah. Yeah. Where we lived up in Michigan, it was there were only two channels anyway. And you'd walk up there and you'd hold it and your mom would go, that's it right there. Then as soon as you took your hand off it, it would stop. So you'd have to stand there so she could watch the... No, I did. I did. ...the Republican Convention or whatever. I had to stand there and hold it. Well, my dad watched a boxing match one time because it was the only way it'd come through. What?

Yeah. Luckily, it went out like the second round. Oh, it's okay. It's okay. Do you still see... I guess they still have the newspaper boxes? Yeah, on mailboxes, they're built in. No, but I mean, like... I mean, USA Today, the... Like the yellow box or... Yeah, or the... ...you would attach. They're not as... It's really not as problems. Payphones. I don't see those. I don't even know where... I don't know where you'd find one anywhere near here if I had to get Nicaran used one. Do you... I don't deal drugs, so I don't know. But are they... Are they ready? Did you stop? Yeah, I did. A long time ago. I don't know. I can't answer. I haven't seen a pay phone and... You say it, my every once in a while. Yeah, on the road, baby. Poor Superman has to change his clothes in the alley. Yeah. Really embarrassing for him. Do the modern-day Superman movies address that? You know, I don't know. I've only seen... The Christopher Reeve one.

Didn't he run up to a... Instead of a phone booth, it was one of the ones that was just a little kind of a kiosk thing. That was kind of... Yeah, he'd step into that and then walk out. Is that what he did? It... There was the phone, but I think at one point, there was one that wasn't a full booth. Ah, those have gone away. Well, you know, you don't need a lot of space to take your glasses off. Yeah, he had to. He had to remove his shirt and pants. His co-workers at the daily planning. Yeah. Not all that observant. No. You know, I don't think any of them were really investigative reporters. You would think that cape under a suit would be a bunch of... Yeah, like that would not be a comfortable way. And I never understood how... Did he save the... Did he save people while carrying his dress shoes? Yeah. What do you do with this suit? Just leave it a lay in there. Yeah, you gotta buy a new one. Yeah, you gotta get a letter. You gotta like the way you look. And does this exist anymore? The busy signal? Ah, I don't think so. No. How about the dial tone? Is that a thing? Well, if you have a landline, probably.

All those things, probably, on a landline still. It is... No, I don't know the answer to this. Can you still make a collect call? From prison. I get that maybe it. Pat, did you have to make a collect call when you were a... Oh, there they are. I had to call a bail bondsman. I think that they gave you a special line to do that with. That'd be nice call. A hotline? Yeah, probably. Well, even just long distance charges. Remember those days? Oh, yeah. You'd wait till 11 to call because it was cheaper. Yeah, because it was cheaper. Yeah. And there was also the era where they had the cards. Remember, you dial 800, blah blah blah, and there'd be like 40 numbers you had to remember to get the special rate. Oh, prepaid, yeah. I had this discussion of the day. I was thinking about... We have a bunch of new T-shirts out for the show. And I had the idea to do a test pattern T-shirt. And I was talking to Kelly about it. And she goes, what's a test pattern? Yeah, because they don't sign off anymore. And the test pattern was...

When a station... You know what it is, Jeffrey? I know what it is because it was a television. The color box? No. It's black and white. It's usually a... Kind of a lot of them had sort of circles and lines. And sometimes I remember there was one famous one that had an Indian chief on it. And it would have the call letters of the television station usually. And it would just... It would just... This image of this thing would just be there all night long. And I guess the engineers used it to test the visual aspects of the screen or something. But they were called test patterns. They got to be kind of cool looking. But I think it would be a nice obscure T-shirt if you put it in a kind of a black and white television set. Yeah, that'd be cool. But it's... There you go. Oh, there's one. Yeah, yeah. They would often say things like, that's the one with the Indians. Yeah, that's it. And it says, please stand by. Make sure everything is all lined up and everything was good. Would that be a cool T-shirt or a reminder just an idiot? I don't think... You're right. Kelly's right.

I don't know how many people would know what that was. That shirt that says, please stand by with our clothes. No, it's a fun shirt though for those in the mail. Yeah. And did you ever hear a station sign off? Yeah. They would... A lot of stations at whatever midnight or one o'clock. Yeah, the Star Spangled Bank. Bad news. Yeah, with the flag waving and stuff. Yeah. Yeah, to do that. Yeah, I know chicken, I experienced the same thing. Working at an AM radio station in the early 80s. Actually, in the late 70s, I was working at one. And when it would sign off, we used to play the national anthem on one of these carts. Like this. I've got one right here. It's a tape. And it had played so many times. It was not clear that it was the national anthem of this country. It was what is that called? Warble. Warble, yeah. Because it was this ancient tape.

I suppose there are probably stations that still have to sign off. I think in the end. Yeah, probably in the AM frequencies. Yeah, but kind of a thing of the past. TV stations. No, I don't. I would assume most TV stations are 24 hours these days. But back in the day, a lot of them had a lot of them had to sign off. Coming up, we're going to check into the world of sports. Also coming in today, one of our favorites. He is comedian Nick Griffin. We have a bizarre story in the world of electronics. Also an update on the so-called salmon sperm facial. I'm not exactly sure how they get them, but we'll find out. We have something from the world of archaeology and fertility. And how it, uh, uh, uh, something that the ladies may do when they're fertile, that they're not quite aware of. We'll talk about all those things from the O'Reilly Auto Parts studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show. Hey, thanks for listening to the Bob and Tom Show this morning. Get a look at today's show on our YouTube channel.

Hey, it's the Bob and Tom Show. We are live from the O'Reilly Auto Parts studios. Think O'Reilly Auto Parts for all your car care needs. Get the parts and service you need fast from the professional parts people. At O'Reilly Auto Parts, my gosh, if it isn't Christy Lee at the news desk. Well, by golly, here I am. Looking adorable. Thank you. There's Pat Godwin. Hello? Smashing in a cobalt gray. Well, boy, yeah. That is nice. Right? That was your glasses. Where are your glasses? I left them at home. Oh, boy. It's got glasses that match that shirt. Perfect. There's Jeff Oscar at the sports desk. Hey, man. Hey, it's Cosby's there. Hello. Hello. How are you, man? Good. I'm Josh Randall. There's Tom. Been looking at some of these test patterns. Once again, we've been talking about things that have gone away. The test patterns were back in the day. Primarily, I think of black and white TV. Yes. Well, they were on all TVs, but they were black and white. Yeah, and it was something that I guess the engineers would use. It would give people someone a chance to do a little bit of

a sort of engineering, mechanical drawing type of artwork. But they just show we just dug one up and it has a, it looks like an Indian chief on it. Yeah. I think it's if I'm not mistaken, it's a chief zenith. Oh, sure. Yeah, yeah. The famous panasonic battles. Yeah, yeah. Not to be confused with chief magnavocs. Right. Well, that's who they were. Okay, they were. They were fighting. There were warring factions. Not everybody got to a long, even before we got here. But do you remember on Friday nights, they used to like give away, at least locally, they would give away 3D glasses like in the newspaper, and then they would have like a horror show on Friday night. Always disappointing, but yes, I was. Yes, but I didn't realize we only had black and white TVs. Oh, and I had no, my parents let me sit there in those glasses for an hour and a half, thinking I was watching 3D, but it was never going to work. Well, there were some because they did, you know, creature from the black lagoon was in 3D and some three stooge's,

they did some, they did a 3D in black and white. Yes. And so you had to get the special glasses for those. Okay. But if you had regular 3D glasses, those weren't going to do anything. Yeah, that's what I was doing. Also, it was crap. It barely was 3D. Right. Now the great 3D, and it's not there anymore, Disney World. The Muppet movie. Yeah, that was in what used to be called the MGM. Yeah, it's in Hollywood studios or whatever they call it. Yeah, Hollywood studios. I used to love that. I never missed it. Did they replace it with another 3D film? I don't know, they just took it down. I know one last time I was there. I'll let you know. They brought back Captain Eo. Yeah. Yeah. I missed that. You know, they actually could now. Yeah. Michael's head, such a resurgence. He's very popular right now. Yeah, that didn't even, but he was at his, to use the word for the second time this break, Ed Zenath, but that bombed. Yeah, I did. That wasn't. No, it was a, it was a, did you think that was popular? Was it? I thought that was a, I mean, how could it bomb when it was packed,

packed at a theme park every day? I mean, it wasn't like a movie. I thought I had a brief lifeline. It did. It was fairly brief. Because they had the Dick Tracy ride. That thing came and went pretty quick. I'm just still upset of Disney real forgetting rid of Mr. Toads Wild ride. Yeah, that was, you know, I both signed that petition. That was a great one. It was essentially a piece of plywood. It was so silly. And that's what made it great. Yeah. It was, it was, it was a charm to it. Did you ever see the 3D Muppet movie? No, it was great. It was great. It was, and there was a trick to it. And there was a live gag that came about. Puppets, uh, and they had the Muppets up on the balcony. It was wonderful. They're replacing that with a new monster's ink land over there, apparently. And there will be a new theater show and a suspended door vault roller coaster. Yeah, that as soon as I, I remember seeing monsters ink and going, oh, that's the new ride. Yeah. But it's taken what 25 years. Yep. That's my daughters are on that track. Yes. And they just remade, they renamed the Aero Smith roller coaster, right? It's the Muppets now.

Oh, that makes sense. Mm-hmm. I was on it last year in the, uh, the young lady. They showed up this thing where you have the members of Aero Smith coming in as if they're in a recording studio, this movie, and the girl in front of me says, Mom, who are those guys? Who are those gals? Well, I mean, on a Douglas is like their manager and that little thing. Oh, right. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, really. Yeah. Oh, uh, we're going to check in. Oh, wait a minute. You know what I want to do? I don't know. What do you want to do? I forgot, uh, uh, Jell, I'm trying to think I guess it was just the previous, uh, break. We were, uh, you were about to do the introductions and you, you thought you had to sneeze. Yes. Yeah. I, well, I did have to, but I stifled it and now it's gone. You warned us and how do you stifled the sneeze? I just kept talking in that case. Don't you look in the light, right? Yeah, look at the light. Actually makes you want to sneeze. Oh, get through the mess. Yeah. But that actually ties into something

that we have right now. We've been talking also about, uh, things that have disappeared in our culture. Like the, I don't know, the dial tone, for example, uh, or the test pattern as we've been talking about. Also the record offer. That was a big thing on TV. They, they had, they would have a theme. Sure. Uh, and, uh, and I just saw maybe two weeks ago that the, I believe it was the Columbia record club. Mm-hmm. Where's that time life? Did they do that? Or did they just do time time life records? Yeah. But the Columbia record club where you, for 11 cents, you'd get six albums and then you had to buy crappy albums for the next two years. The male man had to have hated that, have to carry around all those pennies that had been taped to a card. But those days are gone, but apparently I have been told this is the final, uh, the final record album offer. Oh, so let's give it a listen. It's never been done before. A collection like this is a once in a lifetime.

You from Bob and Tom Records, get ready to sniffle and groove with these rock anthems on sneeze with these. You'll get electric light orchestra. Messenger service. Oh, underclad newman. You get the stick, ain't no. Oh, bless you and your ears with pink floor. Bill Collins. Tap the tissues ready. You'll hear Kansas. Just do no way. Holly.

This album blows away the competition. Contagiously catchy songs. Plus, the bonus track, Black Sabbath. It is nothing to sneeze at. Sneezes with these. Mews from Bob and Tom Records. Order yours now. Nice. Oh. Thank you, Christopher. I love you. Very nice. Uh, Christopher, by the way, Christopher, this is last day. I know. I'm very sad. We wish you well. He's retiring. James, I'm going to steal this car this morning. Yeah. Well, he's a mean man. We had to do something. Yeah. Walking all the way home. A backstreet. All the way to Cincinnati. Oh, now, um, uh, we're going to check in with the, oh, we're going to check in with this warning. See when we come back. We have a, uh, another beer heist of all random things. Go out of my mouth. This is happening.

I don't need a. We have a, uh, uh, uh, something in the world of electronics that's very odd. The ignobell prizes have been given out. And we're going to examine one of them. And it's a product, uh, and an invention, uh, that we talked about, uh, in the world of urinating, uh, and, uh, we're going to find out what was the big winner in that category of physics. Also, we have an etiquette question. If you go to someone's house and they ask you to take off your shoes, what do you do? We're going to find out what you're, do you take off your shoes at your own home? No. Josh. Uh, I'd say 50, 50. Okay. Josh. Yes. Pat. All my clothes. It's not a cleanse on it. Plenty of this thing for me. It's a comfort thing. So I'm going to, yeah, I'll just kick my shoes off and put the recliner up. Put your slippers on. Yeah. Oh, I can't be barefoot. You can't be barefoot. No. Yeah, I keep my socks on most of the time. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You keep your slippers right next to the door so you walk in.

I have to have shoes of some sort of line at all times. Oh, all right. Really? Yeah. Absolutely. Embarrassing foot odor. No, no. I just, uh, maybe I have a high arch. I don't know. But, uh, well, no, why don't you don't swim? That would be hard. I want to thank the orange and soulspeople for keeping my feet from aching. Okay. Yeah. No, I'm never barefoot. Never. I mean, in the shower. I take it back. I shower shoeless. Okay. Well, they do have shower shoes. And by the way, pantless. Nice to know. They can get access to the private, private areas. Sure. I should know. Oh, Christy, do you drive shoeless? No. That's not safe. What do you drive? I drive a Tucson hybrid. We know I'll know that. And right now, if you'd like to get into a Hyundai, there haven't some wonderful deals on their most popular models. Like the Santa Fe or Santa Fe hybrid. That's their bigger SUV. They even have a bigger one than that. But you'll have to go to the website and check it out for yourself. Also, the Tucson or Tucson hybrid. And then, of course, if you're all electric or want to go all electric,

don't miss out on the Ionic 5 or Ionic 9. They look great. They drive amazing. And they're very fast charging. Get to your local Hyundai dealer. Why not do it this weekend? Wouldn't it be great to have a new car as you head into fall and get a deal? You're going to love it. The Hyundai Getaway sales event. And it's going on now. Visit HyundaiUSA.com. If you'd like more information. The biggest Hyundai is that the Palisade? Yes. I wonder if they approached the people who did that so on Palisade Park and then they listened to it once. Pass. That's got kind of an aggressive hostile. They went to Palisade Park and jumped off a cliff. Okay, thank you. We're going to come right back with some sporting news. Here at the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show. Hey, it's the Bob and Tom Show. We are live from the O'Reilly Auto Parts Studios. Kristi Lee is at the news desk. Hi. Yeah, there's some news for us. Yes. All right. There's a pack on it.

Hey, Josh, he's at the Music Center. And at the Sports Test today, it's Jeff Oskey. Hello. At the engineering board, it's Ace Cosby. Howdy. I am Josh Arnold and Tom. We are joined by not only one of our all-time favorite comedians, but one of our favorite people. And handsome too. Oh, yes he is. It's a comedian Nick Griffin. Joining us. Stu DeHane Nick. Great to meet you. Off the air, we were talking. Pat Gowdorn is doing a special charity benefit show. And he just sent me the poster. And it's interesting because the guy must have A.I.D. it because the photograph of Pat, he looks more like you than he looks like himself. So, uh, It's A.I.D. It's not, it's not, does not do photographs justice. I don't know what happened, Pat, but you look like Kenny Rogers right after the plastic surgery. So I'm going on there. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. And we'll talk about that, Joe. But let's, let's get to see what's going on with Nick. Oh, you doing okay? I mean, I got it. I said fine. Really? Everything's fine. Yeah, everything's good. I'm hanging in there.

All right. All right. Are you, uh, yesterday in the show, I said you were coming in. Maybe we could get you fixed up with somebody. And Chris, he goes, oh, I, I next seeing somebody. Well, I think he was. Last time you were here. It was. Yeah. Oh, sorry. Yeah. Well, yeah, you know, it's sad. End of embarrassing. I'm in my 50s. I'm not supposed to be going through a breakup. I'm, I'm supposed to be getting divorced. I'm having a heart attack, something grown up. Yeah. Well, you look good. I thought you'd get that cool. Thank you. Um, now are you still living in New York City? I am. I live in Murray Hill, which is by Grand Central. Because last time you were here, you were talking about possibly moving back to Kansas City. I know. I, uh, I, I'm going back and forth. Well, you know, I have, uh, my, my, I have both parents are still either. Very old and, uh, they, uh, they need help. And I am considering it in the next couple of years. Yeah. Would you be able to help them?

Impliant your old roommate. I'm so horrible. That's two shots in like a minute. No, not after a minute. That's how you know you're a true friend of time. Yeah. Sorry. No, I'm sure you'd be very useful. Uh-huh. Drought. How should you do this to me as a, as a friend of the show? And then all of a sudden, it just doesn't prove to be true? Well, no, that's, unfortunately, that's what being a friend of the show, I mean, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Me, I asked how old are your parents? 88. Both of them, yeah. They're both 88. Oh, they got together. Should say we're 14. Oh my goodness. I mean, they dated from their, when they were 14. Whoa. Yeah. Wow. They still get along. Yeah, they do that. I mean, you know, and everyone annoys everyone, but, uh, yeah, they get along. They, they, they, they really do. That's why a god invented going deaf. As you age. Yeah. I think, like dad, my dad is a little hard of hearing and willfully hard of hearing. What? Guys? Quietly, just so he doesn't hear her. Yes, exactly.

It all works out. Did they live independently? They still. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, my dad just, uh, my dad had, uh, open-heart surgery, like three years ago, and it just really, we really compromised him. And so he's, uh, still driving. He's, no, he doesn't drive anymore. He's on a walker and, uh, he just got out of rehab because he had fallen a couple times. No. Yeah. And I've been back and forth there probably five times in the last three months. Maybe it's time to move. Yeah. Give up your apartment. Not like you're leaving the lady behind. What? You're pretty much free, he said. That's three, right? Look, I'm done. Yeah. Yeah. Comedically. You're in your triple. Yeah, three, three jokes. That's the standard. Nick Rifford's a great stand-up comedian and a wonderful guy. And he, uh, I want to, I'm going to get it wrong. Uh, the number of Letterman shows was at 11. 11? Yes. Yeah. Yeah.

11 appearances with David Letterman. If I had feelings, Tom, I would be crying right now. Nick, are your parents funny? No. They're not. No, my dad is not funny at all. He's just, uh, what did he do for living? He was a financial planner. Hmm. That's serious. Stockbroker. Yeah. Did he never, never, not, not funny at all. Like, it never found me funny. They're true. They treat you like I do that. Yes, exactly. They really do. Yeah. My mom likes to go with the flow, but my dad just, uh, gives me that look like we're not going to do that right now. Yeah. Well, we're going to go over that way. Just a little bit. Jeff Osuke's sitting in for chick McGee at the sports desk. Uh, what's going on? Anything of import over there? Do you want real sports? Uh, LSU coach Lane Kiffin's chance of fielding former NFL players improved Thursday night when a Louisiana judge issued a preliminary

injunction against the NCAA in a high profile eligibility case. The word give us the non-real sports. Yeah. No, I think it's kind of cool. The ruling clears away for LSU to list some former NFL players on its roster. So how many games they will be eligible to play remains to be seen? Any LSU judge, I mean, the judge is probably an LSU alumni. Yes. Well, and then there was first came out. I said, this is going to happen. I don't see what's the difference. I mean, admit, the college football is the minor league of the NFL. Just grow up, admit it, move on. I think it'd be funny if a long time veteran went back to college to play. It's the top of the bet. That'd be great. You got Tom Brady's back there. Yeah. Doing snaps. Okay, here's the stuff you want, Josh. Well, no, I don't think I want this either, but oh no, you don't let's get me away. An Italian man. This is one you want, I think. An Italian man smashed his own, get us world record for the most

champagne model, Sabred in one minute. Oh, I like when they say for a champagne bottle. Yeah, I've got a problem with this. Do we have the video? Oh, okay. Let him finish. Mirko Rainier opened 91 bottles using the technique that involves slashing the top off of a champagne bottle with a saber. He attempt helped raise $16,000 for charity dedicated to children's heart health. While saber and champagne bottles can be dangerous, the 46 year old has never injured him. Well, how about that? What's your problem with this? Do we have this? Okay, so the bottles are set up and the guy has this super sharp knife. Yes. And he's, as you said, it's a sabering. It's awesome. And they're lined up. They're what, hundreds of them lined up. Absolutely. And there's a huge crowd. This must be a TV show because there's really good camera work. So this must be some kind of Italian teachers. My mouth is watering. So my car is lined up. Did they? I like the champagne. What brand is it?

I don't care. A cold duck. See, to me, this is going to put the shards in shardonnay. Yeah. It doesn't cut the glass. No, all that glass was broke. Watch it again. Like there, every top is typically a dust break the glass. So I mean, wouldn't that, I mean, odds are you're going to get a shard of glass at some point. But Christy, see, look at that. Not all are breaking. Yeah, and I've left. But yeah, a lot of them, you can see that. Yeah, there were, you can see. Yeah, you can see. It's not going to be safe to drink that. I've done it. I've had it. Yeah, I've done it. I don't want to get to, I mean, that's the first sign of total alcoholism. Well, I'll take a chance on having my throat slit. We didn't have it. We had, we thought we bought twists off when we were underage. We shoulder tapped. You guys remember, did anybody ever do this? What? You tapped somebody's shoulder on the outside of a liquor store and go, hey, will you buy a spear? Oh, we called the shoulder tapping. And so he got us beer, but we, they were not twist off and we had no,

I don't want to get hurt. I don't want you to break the necks of the beer and just drink it that way very careful. I don't want to get too name dropy, but I saw Keith Richards do this to a bottle of rebel yell in Jamaica. And he sliced it off, put it in like a rock's glass and shugged it down. No, that's awesome. I watched a Somali A do that, saber off the champagne and we dry it right. There was no problem. Well, I mean, in this case, you can see it's very clear that, the jagged edge of glass, there's no way that that's safe. Well, there's a chance of not serving that champagne. Yeah, there's that. Okay, that reminds me, I was organizing my closet a couple days ago. And as you know, I want to get my pen just as, as you know, there are many things I don't approve of, sweatpants, which we discuss. Is it real hard to organize all black shirts? That's very fine. I was organizing my shoes. Oh, okay.

What a night. I thought this was going to be boring. Nick, this will tie in. And in one of the drawers in my closet, I had a pair of, like flip flops kind of. And you know, I don't approve. I never wear those, but I bought them when I was down in the Bahamas, just to get in and out of the water and the beach and whatever. And I didn't notice this. I bought them down there, but they were upside down in a drawer. There's a bottle opener on the bottom of these flip flops. Sure. Yeah. That's not sanitary. You just walked across the lawn where dogs are pooping, all of a sudden you're putting the thing you're going to put it to your lips. Oh, it's not that bad. Right, it's fun. A lot of the flip flops. A lot of the reef. A lot of the people die every year. Well, I'm just going to leave you around. Yeah. But I didn't do it. It's the reef company that make a good product.

Those, that's a common thing. Yeah. Yeah. Well, yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I had no idea. But Matt, most of my other shoes don't have that. Well, I would hope not. Didn't we have a new story about a, didn't we have a new story about a, about a, a shoes that have a, um, a little cork in the heel. And you can put booze in them. Mine have a cork screw. I can't get anywhere. No, really, you could get, like if Maxwell Smart were a drunk. Yeah, he didn't get shoes that have a, like a finger right here. He pull it out. He's in great booze. Might be the flask in the back might be the same company. Is that remember that? Yeah. I do remember that. There was a flask in the back. You would fill your shoe. Something, I don't want to walk into a, you know, one of these beautiful pavilion outdoor places you walk through the fields. And you stick your lips up against the bottom of your shoe. So you would never shoot the boot where if you, uh, it's sometimes it can be a penalty and things like beer pong where you have to fill a shoe, you have to take that person's shoe off and then fill it with beer and drink it out of there.

Wow, the things people do to get laid. No, I've never played beer pong. I've watched it. Yeah, I don't, it slows me down. I can be drinking. Yeah, there was definitely a sandal that had a flask built into it. I believe it was the reef company as well. Wow. Okay, well, good to know. I don't want it. Is that sports? Yeah. That was really, that's our complete sports broadcast. Yeah. Okay, that, that, very good. Well, that kind of leads to the story then. Is it an etiquette expert for readers digest has offered her insight into whether it's rude to ask people to take their shoes off when they come into your home. After weighing both options, Charlotte Hilton Anderson concluded that it is not rude to ask someone to take up their shoes as long as you ask. Is it rude to ask some douchey lady to just use one name? Can you hold it down? Do we have to go with all three of them? Can you hold it down? However, if you are this person asking, Josh, I would like for you to take off your shoes,

but here are some slippers for you to wear. You should have something to offer. And I would say thank you for offering me the slippers. Can you, can you, I'm leaving and lose my number? No, no bones. Can you offer me a taxi? Often, I've gone into an open house and they made you put those surgical booty things on. I get that. Yeah, that's different. Yeah, it's still socks, but I get it. And by the way, by the way, I couldn't do that at your house. Those surgical booties, yes. You could be Brad Pitt. In the minute you put those on, you look really douchey. They are not, they're not cool. They're not cool. Also, if you're going to ask somebody, you should also be prepared for them to say, as you did, no, I will not do that. My best friend lives in San Francisco and last time I was visiting him, I went up and walked into his house. He goes, hey, you got to take your shoes off. We have a new, now we have an array of house shoes like slipper, right. For you. And I was like, I don't want to take my shoes off. He goes, dude, some dude crapped on the steps. You just walked up on.

Yeah, take your shoes off. Yes, and I'm just like, yeah, good point. I've never even, that never dawned. No, that's different. That is different. I did it for two years. Living in Korea, you guys know I lived in Korea for two years. I did it there everywhere. Yeah. But it made sense because you literally ate on the floor. You sat on the floor to eat. You saw a lot of people slapped on the floor. The beds are, it's just a pad on the floor. So yes, you don't want to, wait, their culture really needs to improve. Yeah, do they not know about box springs? Yeah. Some of them do, yeah. They did not heard about legs on tables. Japan does that too. There's a scene. Yeah, exactly. Well, no wonder we beat him during WW2. Well, there's a scene in Donnie Brasco where Johnny Depp refuses to take his shoes off. Remember? I don't remember the scene. Does he have a shot? No, no, it's a kind of a tense scene. Yeah, he's got a wire in there. That's why he can't take his shoes off. Oh, yeah, no, yeah. So, but no, it tells me, to me, it's indicative of other things that might come up at that gathering. What if the person's in a wheelchair? I guess you're okay.

Of course, if they have mobility issues, or if it's a formal gathering, I guess your shoes really haven't hit the ground much. Can we do might if we wipe down your wheels? Even on those little metal stirrups, will you? People can come in my house. Yeah, me too. I don't care. Andy does. Even if there's someone over there fixing something, you don't have to put on the... Andy takes his shoes off immediately and puts his house slippers on. Well, he's comfortable. He's right, isn't it? Yeah, but I think he also... What about pants? No, he takes his pants off, also, right? Depends. When he walks in, oh, this is completely... He can lie, I would leave the depends on. You don't want him to, you know, diary all over the living room. Oh my gosh. If you're asking somebody to remove their shoes, his rude, here's what I think this is rude to, and this is sort of insane. I get it. Serving soda, two liter bottles. No, no, if you're having a party or you have a can, individual can. Yes, I agree. I agree. I would say glasses with ice. No, I don't want any two liter. I'm not... Yeah, no. As a...

As a parent of obviously children, I... If there's kids there, two liter all day. Because if not, you're gonna find ice. Waste. I get it. Here's the thing, no. Exactly right. No, I know. Two ships then go get another one. Yeah, oh my gosh. Way more cost-effective. But here's the thing with a 15 year old, two liter bottle, top off, many times on the carpet with an elbow. An errand elbow. Have you had that happen? No. Drinking straight out of the two liter? Drinking straight, but knocking it over on the carpet often. Oh my god. Often. Your child is just feral, is this? Well, I'm raising them. An only child taking the two liter bottle is different than yeah, that is true. That is true. Because you're probably not drinking the soda. No, not at all. I have a question. Back to the shoe thing. Yes. What if the person doesn't have socks on? They come to your house and you ask them to take their shoes off, which I would never do. And their barefoot is that okay?

Yeah, why not? That sounds to me like that person would prefer that than their shoes. What if they come to your house and you don't ask them to take their shoes off and they do anyway? Okay, now that just happened. Not too long ago my daughter brought her boyfriend home for the first time and he took his shoes off at the door and Andy and I both thought it was a really nice sign of respect. He didn't ask. That he took his pants off. We thought that's you quit with the pants. A little bit forward. Either that or he's a hippie loser. No, he's not. He's smelling. He had socks on. What New York do they take a lot of people? It's the same thing with San Francisco, right? Like you're treading around and you're in it. Yeah, I don't do it, but not many people come over. But yeah, everyone takes their shoes off. No, and then I grew up, I had six brothers and sisters. So my mom wasn't going to say seven times take your shoes off till she just threw her hands up. Yeah, don't kill each other. Yeah, I know you live in a very small apartment.

How many pairs of shoes could you fit in your apartment? What? Oh, geez, I don't know. Ten million. There you go. You didn't have to really answer. No, I didn't. You got to throw your coffee out. Well, after the mean stuff, I thought I'd try to get along. Oh, I got another clue. Oh, really? How many pairs of shoes are well? Let me take this to the room. What if you ask someone to take their shoes off and they have really nasty disgusting gross toes and feet? Oh, stop. I would tell you to put your shoes back on. My feet are well-grued. No, I only go by what she says about your feet. Okay, well, my ex-in-laws wear a shoes off and I knew that going over there. So I would always try to find a nice pair of socks. Like you weren't going to wear mismatched or one with a hole in it if I was going over there because I wanted to make sure I had nice, you know, they were going to make me take my shoes off. Yeah. But for me, I'm wearing elaborate boots that require laces, lacing, and I don't want to only go to chair

and go sit on for 10 minutes and get these things off. I can't just pop these babies off. Do you have foot-odor, Jeff? Uh, probably. Oh, okay. You're not, if you do, you're not aware of it. Yeah. Got you. What about on Mondays because you take your bath on Sunday, right? I don't. People are always shocked. Two things I don't have the people are shocked at. I get this everyday, Nick. Everyday. Foot-odor. What's that? Foot-odor. Yeah, two things I don't have the people are shocked at. Foot-odor and diabetes. Yeah. Or they don't believe me. No, I sat next to you on a plane and he took his shoes off. Yes, he does. He got a lot of shoes. I don't know. Yeah, that's a no. That's a no. No, he takes them off. He does it. He doesn't know. He pops them off right away. Nobody knows. Oh, I did. I sat next to a guy flying down to Florida. And after about 10 minutes, I, smell, smell, and I looked down, shoes off. You could smell them. Oh, absolutely. See, that's, I was, I was in the far right.

What is it? I was in the window seat and I was, you know, focused on my book, whatever, not trying to look at anybody. And all of a sudden, I smelled something and looked over feet. Oh, no. Okay. Oh, look at the time. Let's see now. We're going to come back. We've got comedian Nick Griffin has joined us here in the studio. You can find more about Nick if you go to Nickriffin.net. Very handsome man, ladies. And he's out on the road looking. What else do you have to, he wants to be able to, he wants to be able to tell his parents, I've met her. He's never coming back. You, if you want to introduce some to your folks before, you know, right. And then they're going to say, what? What coffee? What? They call you Nikki? No. Oh, okay. Okay. Now, we'll be right back to the O'Reilly Auto Parts studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show. Just got to get a hold of us. Call text to email. Get all the contact information you need at bobandtom.com. This is the Bob and Tom Show.

Oh, hi, it's the Bob and Tom Show. We are live from the O'Reilly Auto Parts studios. Kristie Leaves at the news desk. Hello. Patty G over at the keyboard and the guitar. Hey, Josh. Jeff Oscar at the sports desk. Yes, sir. And at the engineering board, it's Ace Cosby. Hello. I am Josh Arnold. And Tom, please introduce one of our absolutely favorite comedians and people. comedian Nick Griffin has joined us in the studio. 11 times on the David Letterman show. Okay, I'm going to make this hard for you. Do you remember the first joke you told on your first Letterman? Is that uh, yeah, I think it was the Einstein joke. I think that was my first joke on. Can you share it with those that are not. Sure. Yeah. Do you remember it too? I, uh, divorces, uh, divorce marriages. It's hard to be married. You know, uh, Einstein got divorced. Did you know that Albert Einstein? Arguably the most intelligent man who ever lived got divorced.

They should tell you that before you get married. It shouldn't be. Do you love her? Do you want to spend the rest of your life with her? It should be. Do you think you're smarter than Einstein? That is great. The day, so 11 times around time five, six, seven, eight, did Dave start talking to you a little more when he would come up? Oh, no. Okay. Yeah. And I always heard that just how he was. Yeah, that how he was. I don't know what I would have said to him anyway. But yeah, he was always very present when he said, thank you for coming and we, we always love having you. And then he would walk away and, uh, you know, there was, there was a little hard thing that went, uh, the fact you did it 100 times. Clearly he loved, you know, he loved it. They were very nice. Yeah. Yeah. I think it's what I asked you that, um, I remember I went to see, uh, uh, the great comedian Robert Klein a few years ago. And someone from the audience requested a bit, you know, like the way you'd shout out, stairway to have and Robert started doing it. And he goes, you know, something I don't remember how it goes.

And then the guy started feeding it to him. No. And he took it. He took it really well. It was, it was one of the classic pieces from Child of the 50s. I just think I'm, because I can, I just thought in my head, you had to be, uh, really terrified after working as a comedian for years. And finally you got a shot on Letterman, which was the pinnacle. Yeah. And not only that, but I grew up, um, you know, right during the Letterman era. So I was, uh, extremely, uh, in Letterman. I was, I was such a huge, huge fan. Used to tape and rewatch it and all that stuff. And, and that was one of my big goals. And then I got there. And I remember I was standing in the, uh, in the, on the side of the stage about to go in and, um, and, uh, what was his name? A biff tapped me on the shoulder to go out. And I, I, there was a second where I was like, no.

Yeah. I'm not going to do that. But I obviously went out there and, and if you watched the first Letterman, I did, I'm breathing like an asthmatic when I'm telling him between, yeah. Every punch like, yeah. And you've, you've, you've talked about this before. One time, one of your Letterman appearances, you just froze mid, mid, I did freeze. Uh, and I, and it was not, uh, a little bit. It was a lot. And it was, uh, talked about after the show. Yeah, I just, I blanked. I don't know what happened. They edited the edited out the, they edited it perfectly. And you can't really tell, you know, I mean, I think there, there is a shot at, there is a shot at the end where you see Letterman, shake my hand and him walk away and then my shoulders just slumber. But, uh, yeah, I just, uh, I blanked. I don't know why I blanked. I don't know what happened.

But it was a long time, you know, it was like, it was like 20 or 30 seconds worth of, of blank. I bet it felt like, however, yeah. Yeah. And I thought I'm never going to get through this. And, uh, I wish I had a superpower right now. There happens to everybody. I mean, it's going to bring it up sometime in the future. I mean, we've talked about so many, uh, singers. Right. And they'll forget the lyrics to their most famous song. Sure. It's harder to scatter your way through a stand-up routine. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Is that ever, I guess if you were to live club, and you kind of froze, you could probably, you could make some crowd work for something. Yeah, you could wing it a little more. Obviously, you guys, you have the comedian here. I can talk about it. But I, yeah, it's much easier when you're, when you're in a live club to, to work your way through it. You know, you can do anything. But, uh, that they have, they, you know,

they're looking at the, at the set from their little stand there. And so they knew something was going wrong. When I hesitated, it wasn't, it wasn't a pregnant pause. The baby was out. So in radio, we call that dead air. Right. And if I forget what I'm talking about, which is most of the time I do this, so Christy, what's happening? Exactly. Oh, yeah, I'm a crutch. Give me the teaser. What do we got coming up? Uh, coming up, we have the Ig Nobel Prize. We have, um, an interesting story about the glaciers and climbing Mount Everest. There's a melting problem and it's not climate change this time. There's too many people climbing it as part of it. Right. And we have more beer being stolen this time. It's Guinness. Huh? Not PBR, kind of a swing, but yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And PBR has been in the news for the last week. Yeah, they're still looking for that stolen beer. stolen beer. We got PBR soap. What was the other one?

We have the, uh, uh, case that turns into the Jason Voorhees mask. That's great. From Friday the 13th. Nick would like that. I'll, uh, I'll, uh, I'll, uh, I'll show you a picture of that. That's very cool. Also coming up, we have some news about, uh, fertility ladies. Stand by. You're going to like what you're supposed to do. It involves it. I don't need to be fertile to do that. It involves luxury items and shopping. I'll also, uh, pizza update. This really surprised me. Um, there's a new number five. In terms of the largest selling pizza joint. It's a place I'd never even heard of. And it's number five in America. Hmm. I don't get it. I don't take this the wrong way, but there's a lot of things. You haven't heard of it. Oh, I'm the warehouse of stuff. I don't know. It's gigantic. You know what he's talking about here? Yeah. Is that something he should have heard of? Uh, yeah. Okay. Oh, yeah. Yeah. If I open my eyes, I might, uh, yeah. I'm busy in this head. I got things going on. These are the O'Reilly Auto Part Studios. And this is the Bob and Tom Show. Thanks for listening to the Bob and Tom Show this morning.

Even though we're not too much to look at, you can also watch the show on our YouTube channel. Gosh, this is me. Hey, we're, we're the Bob and Tom Show live clearly. From the O'Reilly Auto Part Studios, there's Kristi Lee at the news desk. Hi, Josh. Back out once there. Hello. And there's Jeff Oskey. Hello. Ace Cosby's across the way. Hey. I am Josh Arnold and Tom were joined by a really terrific guest today. Comedian Nick Griffith hanging out with us. Eleven time veteran of the great David Letterman show, Nick hanging out with us. And we're going to wait through a little bit of news. Perhaps Nick may be willing to comment. Perhaps something, you get something of a nature that you think suits Nick's personality, a particular story that maybe something about the Zolloft. Wow. Just let me do my job. Established in 1991, the Igg Nobel Awards are tongue-in-cheek versions of the Nobel prize,

honoring achievements that first make people laugh, and then make you think exactly what Nick does. Make sure you laugh, then make sure you think. Yes. The physics prize was awarded to scientists who created a splash-free urinal called the Nautilist, which boasts a design that no matter the direction of the urine, it maintains a minimum angle so you always have no splash. All right. Researchers said that if the 56 million urinals in public restrooms in the United States were replaced with Nautilists, it would prevent nearly 265,000 gallons of urine from splashing onto the floor each day. That's a number I could have done without knowing. You know what else would do that? Sitting down at a toilet would make that a lot easier. Are you willing to do that? Of course not. The thing is the guy still has to make it into the urinal. If you've used our men's bathroom, it's like they pee all around the toilet, but not even close to the toilet. You're a grown-ass man.

Don't worry about that. Oh, I know. I have a feeling it's one grown-ass man. Let me ask you this. Has it been better this week or worse? Did you hear me at the meeting? I asked Eddie if we could put better lights in the men's room because that's part of the problem. You can't see the toilet? I can. Maybe they'd keep the lights dim so you don't see the sheen on the floor. It's done on purpose. Again, has it been better this week? We really need to take a look at that. He wasn't only child, you know. I heard an interview with a guy that developed this. We had this story about a year ago. This was actually developed by physicists and scientists. And as some you do with the angle at which the fluid is hitting the... The angle of the dangle? The angle of the... And the thing is this toilet is designed so that no matter where you are, the angle that it hits the surface of the urinal keeps it from splashing back.

What I can't stand, if you ever go to an older building and they have those urinals that go all the way to the floor. Yeah, those are awesome. Those are awesome. No, they're not. Then you get the splash back all over your shoes. I find way less splash back on those. The ones that have the severe splash back are the urinals that are like for kids. The ones that are low, but they don't go all the way to the floor. When they go all the way to the floor, not a lot of splash back. You think so? I know so. That's what I felt. Yeah. I also have a theory. Maybe you're hitting them higher. No, you probably have a more severe dangle. Yeah, we all know. You giant, Venus, huge... A bonus. That would be one of your own. This article doesn't say if they're going to manufacture this thing. It's called the Nautilus. Is there a picture of this thing? I didn't see one. Yeah, I wanted to just look silly. I have a theory that if the urinal wasn't indoctrinated into boys,

like if someone just showed up now, if urinals didn't exist, all right. And they came to you and they're like, hey, we got away. You can stand elbow to elbow with nine other guys with your ween out. And P, and you'd be like, there's no way in hell I'm doing that. But because you... We were brought up that way, so it seems normal. But there's nothing normal about the urinal. And a few of us were raised on the public trough. The trough. Yeah. Which was really something. What do a Cubs game? I don't know if you can see this. The Nautilus looks like this. Oh, it's just very sleek urinal. Can you see that? Yeah. It's narrow. Right. I mean, it doesn't look... You would know it was urinal if you saw it. Oh, yeah. Much thinner. Yeah. I can't imagine a lot of places are going to spend the money to... They look good. That's a real cool look, everyone. But again, the winner of the Ignobel prize. All right.

We did think it would be... What if there was a prize system? Not... In other words, you'd go into a urinal and there'd be some kind of digital way of measuring how accurate you were. Well, what if you... If you did well, you'd get a pack of gum on the way out. That's nice. Yeah. Yeah. Are you four? Or you get to use like the good paper towels? Yes. The cloth sort of... By the way, I'd like to go on record. I hate the air hand dryers. Some of them are awful, yeah. I love the air blade. That's a good one. That's a good one. The Dyson. Oh, you put your hands down in there and there are all the germs here. And it's like a game of operation. People before you have been in there. Yeah. No, I know. And then... Well, that's all the germs away. No, then I don't believe it. In the paper towels. But what I do miss the old... Remember the giant roll? Oh, yeah. You'd pull it down, it would make that noise. And then who eventually would get to the very... You'd start seeing the red stripes, knowing the end is near.

And then eventually there'd be this is disgusting thing hanging from the bottom you dwell. Because they never changed it until it was way overdue. I go to a restaurant and you and I go there a lot, Jeff. Yeah. And they have a unisex, whatever you call it, bathroom. Yeah. And then they have a primitive lock on it. So you have to touch it, knowing that all the germs have been on already. But the way... What locks don't you touch? Well, this is the way you've really got to grab it and move it. It's like a little slider. Yeah. So here's the thing. And the bathroom is right there where people kind of are sitting. But it's got that really loud air blower. Yes. I'll notice sometimes I'll be sitting there having lunch. Somebody didn't wash that. I'll see someone go in and then they come out and I realize, they didn't... They didn't... Yep. They didn't dry their hands off, which means they probably didn't wash them. Yep. No, you know what? Your hypocrisy knows no bounds. Oh, I...

Of course. Because here, Nick, this is what Tom likes to do. He prefers something about the kitchen sink. I forget what it is. The water's hot. All right, the water's hotter. So he goes to the bathroom in one of the hallway restrooms. Doesn't wash his hands in there. Comes out, goes to the kitchen sink and washes his head. Touches the handle with the... Touches the handle with the... Touches the handle with the touches. Right, yeah. Do you use a towel when you open the door? Yes, of course. All right. You animals have been in there and touching this stuff. You know what? The way he just put it, he might. But also, I have that baby white... Baby, what's that suppose? The baby sanitizer. So I can... Hit that, sanitize my hands enough that leave them come and wash my hands in the kitchen sink. Oh, I see. The water gets hot in there. I didn't know you were doing the sanitation in there. Hmm. I think that's why it was this bolded just so I could get the thing. I don't know. Okay. So I'm back to the year. I'm not. I have a year old in my house, Nick. Do you? Yeah. That's pretty cool.

Do you have cakes? I ace got me some urinal cakes. It's kind of nice in the middle of the night. Get urinal cakes with your face on them. I'd be perfect with you. Got me some cakes. Yeah. This on them. Well, you just just put your Christmas present. It's nice to actually, because in the middle of the night, you've got to get up to pee. There's this metal thing on top of the urinal, where the flusher is, but there's... Sure. There's a thing about the size of a baseball. You can just stick your head on it and take a short nap. I've gotten to know where I... No, this is just my age, but I go... 10, 12, 14 times a night just constantly. Really? Yeah, constantly. Not of a 10 and 12. How many times do you get out of bed? How about you? Can you sit the room movie and not go? No. Yeah, it's a positive note. I had no chance. I did twice at the Odyssey. Oh, I bet. Yeah. Yeah. And they're... Didn't you... Were you telling me that they were urging

the filmmaker to put an intermission in that and you were... The theater companies. Yeah, they were urging the theaters to put an intermission in. Oh, okay. And they said no. Yeah, I mean, because then it cuts down on how many showtime they can have per day. But wouldn't they sell more popcorn and stuff? Potentially. Potentially. I think that'd be a pretty good trade-off. Yeah, I haven't seen it yet, so I don't know if there would have been a good place for an intermission or not. I imagine. Maybe this weekend. Oh, okay. We'll see about that. What's coming up in the news, Christy? Uh, coming up, we have that Guinness that's missing. We have a car hop in trouble. That's... Like a classic car hop? Yeah. Yeah. And, um, a lady was caught, uh, pleasuring herself. And guess what state? Florida. Florida. Can't Florida. Say it was made. It was, yeah. And, uh, in a public area. Yeah. Of course. Yep. Also, we have an interesting update from Mount Everest. Yes.

Nick, how do you feel about those places you go to where they have an attendant in the bathroom? Oh, I don't want that. Yeah, I... That's extraordinarily awkward. I feel bad for that person. I do too. That's a bad... That is not fun. And they've got the tip-chair. They've got everything. But Josh is from the barbecue sauce. Yeah, that's right. They did. That they, in one of the East St. Louis Strip Clubs, the bathroom attendant sold his own barbecue sauce. And it was the greatest barbecue sauce. I mean, he was always selling out of it. But that's, you know, something that probably is good in a number of ways. A, you get the great barbecue sauce, but also that takes a little bit of the awkwardness out. Hey, Ted, he was really... Yeah. It sort of gives him a reason to be there. Yeah. And he's making more money. That guy was awesome. Is he still around? I don't know. He was an older black dude, and he was super friendly and funny, and had a killer barbecue sauce. And he would give you tips about the Strip Club. Like, he was also kind of fatherly.

Hey, man, don't blow all your money here. Like, he was on your side. That's great. I'll speak it up, buddy. I want to talk a little bit about American financing. What do they do? They are experts in the world of mortgages. And right now, they're urging you to consider getting a refinance thing on your mortgage. Why? Because your house is worth more than it was just a few years ago. In fact, if you've been living in that place for 10 years, it's probably doubled in value. You don't have to sell it to take advantage of that. Don't sell your house just to refinance it and grab some of that cash. Maybe pay off those high interest rate credit cards. Whatever you want to do with your money. No upfront fees from American financing. And you could even delay a couple of mortgage payments, depending on what's going on with your particular situation. Everybody's got a different situation. See what's going on right now. Their average client is not going to about 800 bucks a month off of that mortgage payment. So if that sounds good, you can see how it works. No upfront fees. That's very important. Talk to the folks at American Financing. You can reach them 866-889-2611

We certainly appreciate you joining us. There's Kristi Lee at the news desk. Hello there, Josh. Pat Godwin's at the music center. Hey, Josh. Jeff Aske is at the sports desk. And Ace Cosby is at the engineering board. Hey, Josh. I'm Josh Arnold and Tom, if you would, introduce one of our absolute favorite people. He is comedian Nick Griffin. As I mentioned in 11-time veteran of the David Letterman show. And Nick is out on tour. And we'll talk with Nick in just a moment. I understand we're doing a cooking segment here.

Is that correct? Oh my gosh, it is hooker the cooker days. Isn't it? Friday. Jess Hooker is our resident chef. And occasional newscaster. And I believe she's preparing something for us. I'm not sure what it is. Can you smell that, though, Tom? That's nice. You know, I think it involves one of your favorite foods. We have Mexican street corn. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, look. Is this mean that a new video has dropped on YouTube with Hooker the Coat? I believe so. All right. Yeah. This weekend, we've got a bunch of cool stuff. Some really good videos. There's a video of Pat Godwin dealing with a heckler. Oh, yeah, the proper way to handle some of that. At a company. You got a nice, right cross. Yeah, I did. A little bit of a musical treat there. Oh, give him any ideas. Also, we have a special video with a Henry Lee Summer in the band doing a rehearsal, which has got an important message on it. Check that out. And a bunch of other delights from the show this week. In the meantime. Oh, we wait for Jess. Okay, go ahead. What are you doing? Scientists say climbers are melting Mount Everest's glacier

with their urine. An international team studied the Kumbah glacier, the location of the Everest base camp, and discovered climbers urine turned out to be a significant heat source. Scientists estimating that heat from pee alone could melt about 170 tons of ice over a single season. I don't believe that. I'm skeptical. Hopper suggests that the Everest base camp be relocated from the glacier to a stable area nearby. Of course, solid waste is collected and carried down the mountain, but urine is largely just discharged directly into the glacier. Is collected and carried down. Well, that's what they're supposed to do. Like in their own little doggy bag. I'm presumably it freezes fairly quickly. Yes. But, I mean, could you just grenade it into a crevasse? Yeah, yeah. You'd think, yeah, wouldn't that be okay? Not like someone's going to step in it. If they do, it's the last thing they'll ever do. On the dead, I have a new job.

I could news and bad news. Those numbers seem a little high to me too. What do we know? No, I mean, it just seems... Well, the problem is there are too many people that they're letting do it. Well, they make a lot of money. Yeah, but I mean, you'll see the... It looks like a line at a day after Thanksgiving, black Friday sale to get to the top of Everest. They're right. It is crazy. But I do do. I'll have to ask our friend, David, that did it. Do you... I've never asked him this. I never thought about it. In a Carter, how is he good? He's good. He's my neighbor. I know. Getting near the summit, can you... You're a Nate? Can you open up your trousers and you're... That is a good question. Isn't it too cool? Wouldn't it freeze it off? I don't know. It's I'm asking. Well, Is your neighbor find out? I will. Like some I see. British bully. Oh, here we go. Oh, here's our information for today. My goodness. His okay, it's just bringing against something.

They've got little spears, stuck in them. I'm not sure what it is. Some sort of a... A moose-boosh. A low-take... A low-take... A low-take... Cake pop. What does fall into the category of a moose-boosh? What's in a house... That's a moose-boose. I think it's just like an appetizer, isn't it? I've never heard that word. What's in a low-take? What is it again? A low-take is the street corn, Mexican street corn. Oh, okay, but this is... This is in the form of like a small cupcake. Like a cake pop. A cake pop. And a low-take street corn cake pop. Oh, so let's see. So it's on a stick. So we pick it up and eat it like that? Yeah, it looks to be drizzled in... Is it ranch? Yeah, it's still kind of hot, so I can't be afford to because I don't know if it'll stay on the stick. Okay, Nick Riffin's already at Pant Godwin. And Christie. Everything's all in there. They couldn't wait. There's a Mexican creme on top with some cheese and cilantro, but yeah. What happened was at home, someone left the package of Hawaiian king rolls open and they got stale.

And I saw somewhere that you could rehydrate them and bake them again and make them new. And this is what I did. I made the Mexican street corn cake pop from stale king wine rolls. This is anything with king's a wine. Right, yeah. This is great. And put them in the air fryer. Yeah. But the sweetness kind of cooked out, I thought. You don't taste that little pineapple as much. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I think it's great. And is this on hooker the cooker this way? It is. It's a fail of all fails. This is not what happens on hooker the cooker, but there is a version of this. You guys got the best version because this week's episode is it just, it didn't work out. Well, that's early. Yeah, it happens exactly. And that's why we put it up. Yeah, it's that it's a trial and error. And that's the theme of my life. Is there a lemon? Where do you think that's the whole? Oh, that's there's lime in that crema. Lime. That's what I'm getting. Yeah, lime juice in the crema. Very tasty. Quite tasty. Yeah. Okay, good. I'm glad you guys listed a failed on this particular thing or something else you made.

Well, it started as it was just supposed to be like a cake. And then it, and I didn't use other ingredients. I just used the Hawaiian king rolls. Gotcha. You need to have another binder. You need to add some eggs. There's other things. It is a little loose. Yes, it is. But in a great way. Okay. Because it keeps it moist, I think. What do you call these? What do you call these little spears? Um, uh, appetizer knives. I don't know. Apatizer sticks. Did they come with a knot in them? Or do you have to do that? They come with a knot. Yeah. Or do you have to do that? I did that for all of you before I brought them in here. I tied them in the sauce. An hour and a half. I soaked the bamboo. You are so funny. These are cool. I don't know. You've never seen those before. At rest fancy restaurants. I make a breezy salad sticks on that one. Yeah, with little churitas. I tie those. They're like giant toothpicks. It's almost like Mexican hush puppies. Yeah. Yes. That would be a much better name. Mexican perros. Okay. Or a hush perros. Okay. That's just dog. I don't know what puppy is.

Cachorro. I'll find out for you. Uh, now, um, that was delicious. Thank you, Jess. You're welcome. I'm a big fan of Mexican street corn. I know. Uh, now, uh, will you see how Tom just told me to shut up? Yeah. Yeah, I'll find out. Well, no, I, I think there's something with a stapler. It's less rude. I don't know the stapler. How about a, how about a, uh, uh, uh, Scotch tape to stuff? This thing got this, but this has some half. This is going to do some damage. Do they put sand in those? Yeah, they must. Yeah, it seems like sand. Why is it? You can shake it in here. Yeah, really? Yeah. Yeah, because it's also a paperweight. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I don't know if that's true. Okay. This is an informative show today. Anything's a paperweight of you. No, no, no, no. Tell me enough. Let's talk with our guest Nick Griffin, comedian is here with us. No, we've, we established the fact that you're a single guy now. That's that is correct. I've actually gone on a date with, uh, what, what woman a couple of times and, uh, nice, very nice.

She says she wants to get to know me better. I said, no, you don't. Do you, do you, do you, do you, um, have a plan? When you go out of these ladies to what you're going to discuss, do you take notes? Do you? Well, no, I mean, I try to, I try to talk to them about what they want to talk about. I try to keep my life, uh, a mystery. Do they know you're a comedian? I think more, more times than not, especially these days. Yeah, they know they look it up. They, are you meeting them online? Yes. Which, which of these services do you use, May I ask? I think the last one I used was Bumble. Bumble? Yeah. Do you know they changed Bumble? Did they? Guys can reach out first. You don't have to look for the woman to reach out to you. Just such a guy thing. Come on. Let me come on. Wait for here. Do they have a, come on button? Come on.

Speed it up. Let's move this along. Yeah. Yeah, but would you say if you looked at yourself objectively, do you have a type? Do I have a type? You know, no, I don't think so. Historically, have you found yourself, say, with blonde women or? No, my only wife was a dark-haired woman and pale skin like an Irish woman. And then of course, I've dated blonde women. I don't really have a type. I really don't. Tall, skinny, fat, and... I don't like people who are rude to just, you know, like the service people... Oh, that I agree with that completely. Yeah. I've walked out of a date before where someone was just rude and abrupt to the waitress and nothing I'm Mr. Cool, but it just makes me uncomfortable. Did you say something to the person or did you just do the Irish goodbye?

I just said this is probably not going to work out. Gotcha. And I'm sure I... That had to be... Did you pay the bill first? This is going to work out by the way. You can want to finish off my lobster fee. Yeah, I threw no $8 and said, yeah, take that. That's kind of bold. Yeah, I think it's real. Why waste everybody's like, no, but I mean, would you do that? Yes, really. Yeah, oh, I would. I mean, it was excessive. It wasn't just... Right, exactly. It would have to be excessive, right? It was excessive. Yeah. But you know, relationships are just such a... So hard. It's up and down. One minute you're like, I'm in love. The next you're like, I gotta get out of this. Then you get out of it and you're like, uh-oh. Maybe I was just hungry. Nick Griffin is our guest. You can find out more about Nick at NickGriffin.net. He's not the English politician, by the way.

No. What did that guy use surface? Has that been a problem for a long time? That was a long time ago. I don't know what he's doing. Now, I haven't really fallen in, but it certainly didn't help. Nothing like Arnold Griffin, by the way. Yeah. Yeah, he was, I had some extremist views and, uh... I mean, I had, you know, I have an email on my website and people every now and then. Not a lot, but every now and then I'll get an email and somebody said, you know, I hope you die. You racist son of a bitch. They got the wrong one. I said, yeah, that's not me. Once again, Kristi Lee over there at the news desk. What else is going on? Well, British police are trying to locate 70,000 pints worth of stolen Guinness doubt. The Cheshire Constable, Ares, said two trailer truckloads of beer valued at $155,000. We're stolen from a depot near Liverpool. Detective Sergeant Gary McClathie said it's famously said that Guinness is good for you,

but that is only the case when it has been bought and paid for. We will settle for nothing less than the full recovery of all items stolen. What's interesting to me is it's almost like the Brits are trying to one-up us. Yeah, because of the VR. We've had the Paps Blue Redden thing with the two truck heists that they're still looking for it. Now, this is a larger number. So this may be a Guinness record with somewhat ironically of a beer heist. There's a really interesting story. I wanted you to do this while this hooker is in the room about fertility. See if you agree with this. New research suggests fertility may influence some women's desire for luxury goods. Researchers say the behavior may be an unconscious way of attracting attention from potential mates by having nicer things. Is that it? Yeah, I don't get it. I don't either. I don't either. I mean, I think it's... It doesn't go long to say.

That's all I have. That's all that was there. It was a long article, but it was just repeating the same thing over and over again. That they did a bunch of different studies and they found that women were fine. They were... When they were ovulating? Yeah, they would buy more stuff, especially high-end stuff, which is weird. Maybe it's inherent from... I mean, just ancient, like gathering, nesting... Nesting, yeah, type of thing. Maybe it's part of that. Well, attracting a mate. I don't see cave woman with... Well, I will probably get pregnant if I get a Louise Vuitton. Oh, God, I hate when you say that. So does America. Yeah, I know. I'm sorry. It's supposed to be sad. I... Have experience in this. Unfortunately. That's why you got seven kids. Wait a minute. That proves the whole thing is true. I've just said, odd. Did you find yourself... I don't need to ovulate.

I can buy a Chanel bag right now. Yes. Does this... Looking back, does this have... What's your correlate? I never did that. I don't think so. Yeah, I don't remember it. I know that like the luxury baby items have blown up in the last 10, 20 years. Well, I think the Kardashians had a lot to do with that. That's a good point. Yeah. Yeah. I'm just... It's the luxury aspect of the stories. I'm just wondering... Do women... Do women... Do women try to hire a class of a mate if you have that? Maybe that's part of it. That wouldn't you be thinking as the man, wow, I'd probably can't afford that. Yeah, right. I can't afford that. What is it called? Coach Hanbag and raising a child. Well, that and... Well, I don't know. Maybe you feel like you're more deserving when you're ovulating. Like, I make life. I can get a $2,500 Hanbag. That's it. I like that angle. I deserve it. You're right, right. But I'm not sure you're not really thinking about it. Right, it's also... Yeah, so I'm going to... I don't know.

I... I don't know. I mean, you watch the Mori Povit show. I don't imagine... Those women were getting... designer stuff. They were ovulating, got knocked up in the parking lot of a K-Mart. But much nicer than I thought it was going to be. Some of those... We like specials for pretty sexy. Just speculating. I don't know. Well, I wonder if also it's luxury to the person. Right. Yeah. Yeah, different... If you're way lower middle, if you're lower class and in terms of income and then would splurging a target be considered luxury? Sure. Of course. Right, right. So I wonder if it also... Yeah, depends on your income. Yeah. Okay, well, but you guys don't as a person, you don't... I don't recall ever doing that. I don't remember. I mean, like... Through the monthly cycles of things, there are times that I purchase more than I don't. Oh, I can see that more.

So then... Is there a time when your man... Your... How do I word this? Usman? He's my husband. No, no, no. Your husband, whatever he might be. No. I mean, it's literally my husband. Yeah. No, I meant for in general. Okay. Do you think it's possible that a man realizes that she's in that special mood. I want to stay the hell away. So you're free to go shop. Oh, I think guys know that the... I have the opposite. My husband, like, does everything for me that week. Yeah, like takes extra care of me. Yeah, that's good. Yeah. Yeah, no, he doesn't get away, Tom. Sorry, I wasn't in any way referred to my home. I told you. No, no. Yeah, Tom's reading from his diary. Yeah. Don't you... Don't you have a journal book? In fact, I read that page your diary, so I didn't know periods in last 20 years. I thought that was on it. Oh, did I ever tell you this? I think I did. I got to be very delicate when I tell this story.

A friend of mine... Oh, Beth? A friend of mine's mom told her that she did not tell her husband that she'd gone through the change so that she could continue to... Avoid... Yeah, she could tell him... It's time of the month, so... It's that time of the month. She got a week off, so... So she still got a week off? Josh, why have you never been married? That's just sad to hear this. That's very sad. That is sad. My. Now, Nick, when you're dating a gal... Because you're a man of a certain age, you're in your 50s. Yes. Do you... Do you try to gauge if where they are in that sphere? If they're... Are they still... Like, do you say similar? Hey, listen, I've got to go to the men's room. I'm going to be to grab you a couple of tampons. No. That's tacky. No, I do not say that. Yeah. Information. Oh, and so you're in insurance?

You stop to cork it up every now and again? What a... What a life of first date. I was so sorry. What's coming up, Chris? Oh, we work... What's coming up? It's today in history. That's right. Etc. Etc. Once again, we're coming to you from the O'Reilly Auto Parts studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show. Want to share a letter or comment? Our email is Bob and Tom at bobandom.com. Why is that? Hey, it's the Bob and Tom Show. Live from the O'Reilly Auto Parts studios. Christy Lees at the news desk. Hello. Bad God wins at the music center. Hello. At the sports desk, it's Jeff Oskey. Have you ordered your trousers yet? My tray... They are available at the Bob and Tom Show. New Bob and Tom Trialzers. Sorry, as Tom just said. They're Reeves? They come with the sands about. How they do? That was nice. I'm Josh Arnold and there's Tom. Is that not a good word anymore, Trialzers?

I don't know if they're joggers and their... Plano pants, drama pants. I don't know that you would refer to those as Trialzers. Is your mom used the word Dungarees? No, my mom was a slacks. Oh, slacks? Yeah. Yeah, slacks for me too. That's a word you don't know. Do you say slacks or was it... No, I don't, but my mother used the word. Yeah. We need to get you some new slacks. Right, same. Yeah. Kind of a cool word. Oh, I didn't think so. So I never used it. It sounds very jazzy. Like you could imagine a saxophone player. Is it because it rhymes with sacks? Yes. Is that why you used one? Maybe a trombone. No, it's like you could be a trombon player. Hey, you've just seen slacks griffin on the trombone. That does work. You know, like that. That's griffin. Yeah, I like that. That'd be cool. That does work. I was wondering, I was wondering what are those cool nicknames. Well, you have to be cool first. Cool. You're going to take that spider? Fighting a sassy ass.

I appreciate the attempt at saving me, but when you're right, you're right, Christy. Yeah. I mean, I've got, I have a couple of friends that have cool names. Do you? Yeah. Do it. Do it. Do it, my friend. Yeah. Right. That's that's kind of cool. The Steve Ali, the terrific musician, have a nickname at all. Niceest guy in the world. Well, he has two nice keys. Ali. Yeah, but even. Yeah, is it? Wait, no, that's not bad. That is good. Keys Ali. Yeah, no, he's just a really great guy. He has a great guy. Now, there are some comedians that go with nicknames, right? Sure. Sure, I just can't thank Carlos Mence. Larry. His real name is Ned. Oh, yeah, you're right. Seriously, right. Yeah, it is. Yeah, Larry, the cable guy. I'm Nick. Earthquake. Sure. Earthquake is an hour talk. That's really good. That's Bruce Bruce's half of a nickname, right? It's a half of its real name, but twice. I don't know. Let's let's look into history. I should explain this to our guest. Comedian Nick Griffin is here with us. 11 time veteran of the David Letterman show. Very funny standup comedian on tour right now.

And Nick, we like to educate on the show as you can show. And part of that involves looking at a history book. Did you study history? Did you go to college? I did go to college. I went to a tiny liberal arts college. At Missouri. What was it called? William Jewel College. So were you the fighting diamonds? We were the Cardinals. Uh-huh. Yeah, yeah. Very common. Yeah. What'd you go for? I went for communications. I was a communications major. Which, yeah, you're like a DJ. Well, you do take one like radio class, one TV class, one speech class, one. Because you don't really have that kind of kick ass intro voice. You get a hundred. Well, here's the. There are the wrong. Well, you're just. Oh, fire. No, he's fine. Can I walk in here cocky or something? Not all. I'm going to take you down if you're not. That's right. Yeah, you need to be. Rolled out a bag or two. No, no, no, you found your voice.

It's great. I love your shirt. Oh, sure. Comedy. I just don't, you know, I know. No, I don't have a, I'm not a big. Yeah, I don't have that big voice that. Sways the young folk. Warring their slacks. Oh, now, um, uh, let's get a little history. We'll start in 1682. I looked this up because I got it wrong every other year. It is, um, Edmund Halley. I know, but can we just stick with Haley's? For some reason. Technically would be Halley's guy. I know, but nobody likes that guy. You know, technically it's, how many likes that? I'm just saying we all say Haley's. Okay. You're going to say Halley's comment? No. Yeah, it's pretentious. Of course it is. Of course it is. I'm going to say it's a comment that rhymes with rallies. Blind hammer or place. This is interesting. In 1888, George Eastman patented the first

role film camera. And created the name Kodak, which is, I mean, I did that sort of gone. Although there are some very serious photographers that still use real film. But for the most part, that's, that's gone. And if you saw those photographs in 1889, they had the first photo mat. You'd ride your horse up. It was a little booth. Those things have gone away. Well, yeah, we were talking about things that have disappeared. Is there a warehouse full of those little photo mat booths somewhere? They should turn them into a marijuana dispensaries. That'd be a cool. That'd be a cool. A couple more. Yeah. Or a phone booth. Or a garage. Some of them. Marijuana dispensaries have to be indoors. Or could there be like a farmer's market for weed somewhere? Or do you have to be inside so nobody can, you know, is there a, one of that's part of the weird. Probably weird state laws everywhere. Yeah. I know. Yes, some of them are like on windowed too, aren't they?

Yeah. Yeah. It's, yes, some of them you could, they, you could only have whatever five people in them at the same time. And there's like, you can't be on a cell phone in some of them. Back in, back to history, 1893, Beatrix Potter wrote the story of Peter Rabbit. Which you're thinking it's a really sweet story. I did a little homework on this. It starts out with Peter Rabbit's mom warning him to avoid going in the old guy's garden. It's where their father, the rabbit, was killed and put into a pie. Yeah. Sure. I mean, it's, it's kind of violent. Well, so are all those old Disney movies. Yeah. Okay, we'll sleep well, kids. It's a tough world. They got to learn early. We grew up with bugs, buddy. Much more. Now this I did not know which wasn't violent at all. No, not at all. Oh, so many hot tub. Yeah, and those on their head. Come on. Yeah. Jumping off. Bifles 1922. This is no one's going to get this one.

Maybe Christy will. We're all idiots. Yeah. William, no, no, no, I would not have known this. William Walsley and William Lyons founded what would, well, they found that it as swallow side car company. Do you know what it became? Swallow sites. Spits. Holy days. Harley Davis. That's a very good guess. It became Jaguar as they say. Jaguar. Everybody knows them. Give us a mark. No one. Swallow side cars sounds like an event at a Batch lorette party. It does. Yeah, that's not a good. Have you ever ordered a side car? I have not. What is it? I don't know, but it sounds cool, doesn't it? It does. An old cocktail. Yeah. Yeah, it's some old car. It's an old cocktail. It's a side car, like a beer with something a shot on the side or something. I think it might be. So that makes sense. Yeah, a chaser. By the way, this says. Side car is a classic tart and dry prohibition area cocktail with cognac,

orange, lecora, and fresh lemon juice. That's a bad. This says they change the name of the, from side car swallow to Jaguar because after World War II, the abbreviation SS was not popular. Well, no. Is it that something? I bet. Wow. OK. That is much better. Look at logo too. Yeah. That's a terrible name. Yes. The guys were named Womzly and Lions. Why wouldn't they go? I'm sure they had a reason. OK. Well, the swallow side car company. 1950, the comic strip, Beetle Bailey debuted in 12 newspapers. And since 1950, it's been funny 12 times. Have you ever seen that lost panel where Beetle Bailey frags his CEO? Yeah, it's funny. And all those years, I don't think Beetle Bailey's ever seen any action. He's always on the base where there's nothing going on. The price is right debuted. What year do you think that first one on the year?

Price is right debuted in 83. I go 74. Yeah, I say 73. 72. Oh, I said that but in my head. I've always wanted to see a celebrity version of that. Really? They have no idea what I'm saying. Because you know what be hilarious. Yeah, that is good. Yeah, they'd have no idea. No idea. Brad Pitt, how much is this for his pretend grain? Oh, he also. That's a very good idea. That is a good idea. That's got to be why they've never done it. No celebrity would sign up. No one would win. I would be terrible. I don't know. And you go grocery shopping. I do go but I never really notice. That's true. And you have to adjust for bar bank prices. Like I wanted to spend that wheel, that big wheel. So but like if I ever can have a dream come true, that I don't even know. I just want to spend it once. Right. I'd like to spend it once. I want to see how heavy it is. I do too. How easily it's been. I really want to do that.

We've also been talking we've been talking about things in cars that aren't that aren't that are gone anymore. But the the era when when I was a kid, if you were you'd stay home sick, that was the only time you ever got the C game shows. Yeah, there weren't a lot of prime time ones. And then conversely, now if you're a kid and you stay home, you've got 800 channels. Yeah, you can watch cartoons or whatever you want. You're not forced to sit through met the match game. Is true carry still the price is right? Yeah. Yeah. I know. Yeah. And I like the way he carried on the tradition of the long, thin, Mike thing with you. You didn't like the match game. Oh no, in retrospect, I'm glad I was forced to watch the. It was great. Because I remember being sick and then you'd get really, it would be misery at one o'clock or nothing on, but so poppers. Oh, so poppers. Yeah. But see the young people they don't they don't have to suffer through that. Gene Rayburn was he the host of the match game? Yeah.

Yeah. Google incorporated on this date in 1998 by two students at Stanford. Kind of cool. I think you know you're successful when the name of your company becomes a verb. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You don't believe me, Google. In 2002, I'm sorry. It's a great name to Google. It's very memorable. It doesn't and it comes from, isn't, wasn't Googleplex or something of number of, it's a math thing, right? Yeah, I think. I think we're a number. On this date in 2002, Kelly Clarkson won the first season of American Idol. She's good. It's great. And I think she's retiring from her talk show. Where's she with Monday? Oh, no kidding. Oh, wow. Why? I thought that was very good. She's really good at ace has this flag at half mast. Kelly, Sherry. Your lips and all your shows, my ice. Happy birthday, Damon Wands. Homie don't play that. We couldn't get enough of that. Loved it.

Now, this is obscure. You might get this, Josh. I will. Maybe you, Mr. Oskar. Maybe ace in 1968, the birthday of John Demagio. Anybody? Joe Demagio's brother. No, no, no. He's a famous voice actor. He does, oh, I know. He's a homeless guy from Ohio. A house. No. No, no, not that guy. No, no, no, no, this, he's a legit great voice guy. He does Jake the dog. Oh, you know, Jester. The dog vendor on future Rama. He's okay. Yeah, I know. I know that. A freeze, Joker. And apparently like the greatest guy, some friends of mine met him at a one of those comic cons. He's a super nice guy. Oh, cool. Lastly, happy birthday. Beyonce Knowles. I guess, I guess they think she just goes by Beyonce now. They, they, they put there so we know which Beyonce were talking about. Okay, thank you very much. What's coming up, Kristi Lee? Coming up, we have a car hop who exposed himself.

We have a naked woman making herself exposed as well. We have injured penguins being assisted and a bobcat inside somebody's home. Hello. Okay. Good to see you. Thank you. Thank you. That's nice to see you. And we have the surprise pizza chain that you didn't know about. And Nick Griffin hanging out with us. Yeah. We are in the O'Reilly Auto Parts studios. This is the Bob and Tom Show. More of the show is on the way. You can find us on X at Bob and Tom or you can email us at bobandomatbobbentom.com. Hi, it's the Bob and Tom Show live from the O'Reilly Auto Parts studios. Kristi Lee's at the news desk. Hello. Back to Godwin is at the music desk. Hey Josh. Jeff Oscar at the sports desk. Hello Fred. Ace Cosby at the controls desk. Hello. I'm Josh Arnold at the smart Alec desk. There's Tom at the captain desk. Oh, thank you very much. I know. Joining us to the studio. comedian Nick Griffin. Nick is a veteran of television,

including 11 episodes of the David Letterman show. And Nick is on tour right now. I certainly recommend you go see him more information. The great stand up comic. Nick Griffin.net. Yes. Out of veteran. He's an experienced comedian that is downstairs. A little bit of a better... Better. What's going on? Am I on your last nerve? No, no, no. No, no. I'm over here. The gas station chain Casey's has now become the fifth largest pizza chain in the United States. I'd never even heard of it. According to Ferture magazine. That doesn't surprise me. I can drive you to one today if you'd like to go. Casey's is now approaching 3,000 stores nearly half of which sit in towns of 5,000 people or fewer and about two thirds in towns under 20,000. And you almost have to actively try not to be aware of Casey's. Yeah, I know right. It drives close. It drives close. It takes effort to not go in. Well, when you drive like this. Well, and he doesn't really leave big cities either.

I'm just going to say any comic on the road knows Casey's because we've all played that 20,000. It's also the fourth largest liquor license holder and the third largest convenience store in America. They're well known for their breakfast pizza, which they have dubbed the official pizza of noon kickoffs. Oh, that's great. Tom Brennan, Casey. Have you guys tried it? I'd not be breakfast pizza, no. No. I haven't either. I'd love to try it. Apparently, it's really good pizza. No, they're pepperoni's great. The gas station by us has pizza. Have you had it? It's not great. Oh, okay. But I mean, the larger point here is I think that we're entering a new age of the quality of some of these gas station franchises. Yeah, Tom Brennan, Casey's chief merchandising officer says, Wawa and Sheets have legitimized eating at a gas station. I mean, if you go to a Wawa, not to compete with Casey's, but it's incredible.

Yeah, I went in when I was amazing. And Bucky's. Right. And it's also making great, I mean, now you can, Nick, you can now buy pizza the same place you can get, you know, Anaconda Strong Formula or Ario Speedboner. All the, all the underground ED medications. Sure. They have something to do. Do you have a go to when you go to like a Casey, like whatever your version of Casey's is, do you have something you always get when you go there? Like I always get donuts when I'm on the road driving home late. I get donuts and a small milk. Are you a chocolate donut or a pound? Yeah, I did. Oh, yeah, good. Yeah, I can't do the powder than the car. You make some mess. Yeah. And the car will come from the 80s when you go. You get pulled over a lot. Yeah. It is interesting that I guess it's probably, those places probably don't have the off brand, sometimes fake ED medications.

Do you see in the, I've never even heard of it. Yeah, you got the off brand energy. Yeah, I don't see them at, I don't think I've seen them at Casey's either, but they're certainly, there's out there. Al Christie, they'll be like a little machine in the men's room. It'll be the bone ranger. It'll purported to be some kind of a rectile, this function thing. You probably don't have this, but you guys brought up a good thing. Road food. Do you have car road food that you always get? I kind of go through phases, but sometimes, but they are things I only get when I'm on the road. Right. Bugles. Yeah. Check, check, mix is one for me. Okay. Yeah, I usually ride in the car. I go with the combos and the coke. I like to gamble. Gas station, tuna, sell. No. Oh, you're crazy. That's insane. You don't like to snack on stuff? No, no, I like to get there. I get like 10, 10 pole XL in the men's room there.

You're not letting go of this. No, he's not. I told you Kelly went to Kentucky last weekend for a horse thing. And she, remember, she was, she brought this in my kitchen eating from a deli and then there was, there was a worm in it. Oh, no. Yeah, the chicken salad. Yeah. And what happens after you, uh, we on the company, everything that she bought up at Deli got tossed. It was a live nick, like a live word. Yeah. And I don't run into that in the bugle industry. Oh, I don't know. Yeah. I haven't had one in a combo bag. Yeah, I haven't had one in a row. I never found one when I bought a canister a third leg. We're almost at the point where it is kind of funny. I'm just getting it all out now. I'm sure you've probably tried trouser power. That's one of my, that's my favorite does work. Yeah, that's the best one. Yeah, 10th pole XL, I think was fake trouser power.

Chrissy, I'm not, they really do have these. I believe they're now rare. I thought you had condoms in the men's. That's mostly what those machines were. And they'll have elaborate French ticklers. Right, right. They're going to see your chin on the end. Yeah. Back into the 90s town. Yeah, they don't. Yeah, they're, they're now a rare tree. Yeah. Have you ever used one of those? Oh, gosh, no. No. No, I don't. You mean a condom? No, no. I would enjoy myself. Yeah, no. Now, whatever she has to deal with, what a neck grip. Nick Griffin is a single guy on the make, whatever. Do you, uh, as, do you carry around a condom, just in case one of these dates reaches that? Don't carry around a condom. I assume it's not going to happen. You're not that optimistic. No, I'm really not. I don't, uh, no. And I, um, just, I, it's much harder, you know, now that you're, now that I'm older to date, you know, you just,

you can't say as many things as you used to be able to say, like when you're young, you can say anything to the other person, like, romantic and lofty stuff. Uh, I've never felt this way before. You can say that when you're young. I've never felt this. I'm in my 50s. I felt this way before. Like five times. I don't know. All right. Uh, on that note, um, I want to remind everybody of a couple of things. Um, this weekend, if you get some free time, go to bobandtom.com, check out the pop-up store. A bunch of cool stuff, including slacks, slash trousers, slash pajamas, bottoms. Um, uh, we've got the right behind Nick. You can see the boband Tom Camo hoodie. Um, we've got the Halloween hoodie, the boband Tom University shirt and the, uh, boband Tom Morning Breath Club shirt. Our back, uh, check them out at, uh, uh, a lot of back. They were never here. Well, they were here in my mind. Okay. We also, I'll urge you to check out the Henry Lee Summer video. Henry and the, and the boys and the girls.

The starlet's, uh, doing a great song and there's an important message there. If you get a chance to watch that right now, Kristi Lee, um, what are you driving these days? I drive a Tucson hybrid. We all know it. I love it. And I encourage you to get one too, because they're having the Hyundai Getaway sales event. And it's going on right now at your local Hyundai dealer. If you need a bigger SUV, you can check out the Santa Fe or Santa Fe hybrid. If you like, um, more of a car car, like a sedan, you can check out the Alontera, although it's not the, uh, I'm going to drive the kids to school sedan. This is a beautiful bold stylish sleek looking car with all the latest in technology. And then if you really want to go techie, go all electric. The Ionic 5 and Ionic 9 fast charging and they get a lot of mileage on a charge. Get to your local Hyundai dealer this weekend. Get away with the deal you'll love. It's the Hyundai Getaway sales event, or you can always go online at HyundaiUSA.com. Uh, did you guys ever see, thank you, Kristi? Did you guys ever see the thing, uh, we were talking about those older gas stations,

A's, I don't know if you ever saw one of these, where they actually had a clone machine. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. And you would spritz yourself. Amazing. It would, yeah, it would spritz you. Yeah. Really? Yeah. You'd walk in and you'd, you'd, you'd put in 50 cents and get some dracar noir. Oh, yeah. I'm so shorted. Hit me in the eyes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Pat, what was your favorite duck? What was it? Go ahead. Jameson was going to go with the Southern comfort in the neck. Yeah. Awesome. Kicks 10 to 5,000. Oh, we're back to that. You. Oh, you're, you're, you're, no setup. Even just like that. Yeah. Everything. You know. I'm just amusing myself. These are the Araliato part studios. This is the Bob and Tom show. Hi there. The Bob and Tom shows what you're listening to. This is, we are, let me give me a hold.

Hold on a second. Or narrowly, she'll do this. And, um, Josh, he really puts a lot of effort into. Oh, yeah. Yeah. A ton of work. This takes me. I can't just get on a microphone and speak. I have to really prepare. And, uh, I mess up more often than not. Don't I? No, he tries to make it fresh every time. And most of the time. We're live from the Araliato part studios. Christy Lees at the news desk. Hi, Terrence. That Godwin's a fellow sufferer. There's Jeff Oskey. Every Jeff Oskey's another guy like me. Every morning has to talk himself and not walking out in an angry half there. He's caused me. I feel it probably too wants to burn this place down. I'm Josh Arnold. I've never murdered a man, but I know it would feel good. And there's Tom. You think you're kidding. This is a fairly busy street. You could walk right out on it. I've surprised none of us have ever been killed to turn out of this place.

Oh, I don't say that. Yeah, I was the hell you doing when the plants grow high. You can't see it. It can get tough. Yeah. Okay. Now, we're joined by comedian Nick Griffin. Nick is a distinguished standup comedian. And would you say that you limit the topics that you discuss? Did you do you have kind of a kind of a well, I think that yeah, they naturally kind. Yeah, I do. I do. Have you ever tried to write about something and just had it not work at all? Sure. Yeah, it doesn't sometimes. Hundreds of times. Right now. Yeah. Because I've told the story a thousand times. The short version is we were talking with George Carlin. Oh, and it wasn't going well. And we talked to him several times. But with this particular time, it was really not interesting or funny. And I said to him, do you have a particular bit of a piece that you do

that you like, but nobody else likes? And then he lit right up and told what turned out to be really funny. Oh, cool. Yeah. Do you have a similarly, I guess, in the same vein? Do you have something that you've tried that you think is real funny that no one likes? She's, yeah, I mean, not really. I mean, I've tried so many things that about relationships that have, I think, women just think are unpleasant instead of funny. So I've gotten rid of those. But no, that's not a lot of, you know, well, how do you experiment? Do you, because you know what works? You do 10 minutes of stuff that works, then go, I'm going to insert this here and see what happens. That's about right. I do about four or five minutes, six, seven minutes, and then I do a new joke, and then I do a joke that I know is going to go great. I don't, you know, it's so hard to write good jokes that, for me, if I try two new jokes at night,

it's a miracle, you know, it's usually one. Do you record yourself so you can go back and listen? Yeah, everybody record my side, and then I don't listen to the whole set, but I'll go and find that little one piece of business that I did. Yeah, I remember talking to Robert Klein about, when he was coming up in the late 60s, he would carry around a huge real to real tape deck. No. Yeah, absolutely. Wow. Yeah, and then he ended up writing a bit about it, when he met the guy that, from whatever it was, one of the Japanese companies that invented the more portable systems. Sure. Made his life a lot easier than walking into the improv in New York, carrying a Sony real to real. Setting it up. Setting it up. Caring the other side of it. Yeah. All Christie Lee's right there at the Bob and Tom News Desk. What's happening? Well, thank you, Tom. A steak and shake worker in Florida was arrested after he allegedly served a woman or food with his manhood on display. Hi, it's Stake and Shake. We give you the tip.

The 25 year old ex-con, Mr. Artivan, Cromitti, C-R-U-M-I-T-Y. Cromitti was working as a car hop at a steak and shake in Largo, Florida, when he walked up to a woman's vehicle with his penis exposed through a zipper. What do you think about that? He was arrested and charged with the exposure of sexual organs. Would you like a six-way chili? I've never been to a steak and shake with a car hop. I've never heard of anyone named Artivan. I know, right? A little on Cromitti. Yeah, I think his last name would be pronounced Cromitti. Cromitti? Cromitti? I don't know. It matters. Yeah, that's not really your right, Josh. And it's in its art-a-vee and that's a great name. Like, how did he think it was going to go? I guess it, you know, there's always a chance it worked in the past. I mean, there are, there are, there are, flasher's all over the place. It must have occasionally worked. Right. The flashing isn't about sex. It's about them recoiling. That's what that's about.

Have you ever seen a flasher? No. I was flashy. I once when I was young, you know, got flashed. Yeah, I wasn't the classic trench coat guy. No, it's just a guy at a urinal and I was in the coming out of the stall. And he just turned around and showed me the... But he, it wasn't just an old guy who hadn't zipped up. Did he wave it? He ran. I chased him and... Oh wait, you haven't seen me before? You know... Hey, get back here with that. I'm into it. Hey, hey, hey, Shumny. Hey, hey there boy, I'm sure lucky to. He got me all wrong. Wonder if that's ever happened. If that would, if that would cure your thing, Like that's not what you expect, right? That's not why you would flash someone. I think as you'd an indicator earlier. As you're looking for a recoil and somebody goes,

Hey, that's great. Yeah, I don't think they're interested. Yeah. Yeah, it's for the shocked and right, right. But what do they, do these guys have a line that they use? Do they say? Most of the times they're silent, aren't they? Yeah, I would think. They kind of let it speak for itself. I'm not going to get a load of this. Yeah. We're staying in Florida. I'm just giving it. I'm just giving it some air, son. Yeah. Instead of a naked guy, we have a naked woman. Police say a woman was caught pleasuring herself in public. And said she just wanted to feel good. Miss Aileya Waldo was observed laying down on a wooden palette, bullying naked, quote, manipulating her sexual organs in a sexually stimulating manner. Oh, absolutely. That's a sexy phrase. Isn't it? That's her new own buddy. When confronted by a St. Petersburg Police Department officer, the 31-year-old woman, quote, spontaneously stated she just wanted to feel good.

But wouldn't lying down on a palette be very uncomfortable? I would think. They also said there were no articles of clothing anywhere near the wooden palette. So I don't know where she. So she stripped down and then ran out into the main part of the store. Yeah. Was she in a store? It just says wooden palette. It could have been out in a parking lot. I'm just assuming it was some kind of a store. I don't like a, you know, where do you see wood? Like a home depot or something? Yeah. I mean, wouldn't that? Yeah. Oh, no. But we need a palette cleanser after that story. Yeah. Yeah. Well, how about a salmon sperm facial? Well, thanks. No. No. I guess people are injecting salmon sperm into their skin. Research does support some of it out there that the ingredients are regenerative anti-inflammatory. One study finds that salmon sperm is associated with increased skin elasticity and stronger collagen levels. The treatment is first garnered widespread attention

after Jennifer Aniston revealed she does it. Writing for the standard Melanie McDowell, McDonough, I said, tried the procedure and said she received an injection under each eye. Five shots on each side of the face and five injections on the hand. That's a salmon boocock. Yeah. She said the effects were immediate and lasted about six to eight months. She said after three treatments, she saw a fresher firmer looking skin and more even tone with her hands had a plumber and less body appearance. No kidding. And she keeps getting winked at by the clown fish on her tank. OK. This says, OK, this article says it costs a thousand dollars. No kidding. Wow. How do you harvest it? I don't know. Like is there somebody? Maybe they, I don't know. Could you just squeeze a fish and it comes out or why? We try it the next time we go fishing. Yeah. Are you going to attract bears?

Oh, I mean, if you're walking around the tank. Man. What if it is that effective? How old was this woman? It doesn't say. There's going to be some angry husband, not me, but you're cool with a face. Ha, ha, ha. Yeah. Would you try, Christie? No. No needles are getting near my face. It's obvious. I'm not. I'm not going to. What if it was a cream? That might try. I'm just glad she said no needles are getting near her face. OK, here's what I wasn't worried about this burn. I just Google this. This version says it's some are scurrying federal regulations to do this. Oh, wow. Yeah, I would imagine not all salmon sperm is on the up and up when it comes to quality control. Yeah. This is obviously cod sperm. Yeah, yeah. I've been ripped off. What is it? It's a lot of sped up. Yeah, you think I don't want to bottom feeders sperm?

I have the idea with this. And you're fit. One of your favorite musicals, South Pacific. Oh, they do? Yeah. Simon sent a deep name. Yeah. Hey, very. Yes, absolutely. Now, Pat, you haven't had me. Have I got to get a song out of you? You just did the one earlier this morning. What have you got over there? I had something for Casey's, Casey's gas station and the best pizza in the country. Why didn't you step up? We moved on. And I was enjoying the listening to Nick and sitting back and just being an audience member. Back in, man. Sorry, here we go. Almost forgot. Hi, I'm Matt Pot. I'm Jones and for some Casey's. It's open all night. Pizza Hut's closed. Dman knows I suppose. Casey's breakfast, pizza. It tastes all right. Gas station pizza. You love to do when your tank is on e at a quarter to two. Whoa, put in the pump.

Then hit the loo. Tail light out. Cops are following you. I found a spot. Hi, I'm Matt Pot. I'm Jones and for some Casey's. Grab me a piece. I went to bed. Yeah. She's on my head. Custin' my boxers. Sauce on the sheets. That Casey's pizza. It can't shut up, Josh. One last early in the song. It can't be beat. I could have sat back and we could have listened to it. I think I made the right choice at the time. How we liked it, it's just... No, it was wonderful. A lot of information, not many laughs. Now maybe he could step down. Right, it was sort of... We felt like you were struggling to hit. You got those notes. No, no, no, I wasn't struggling at all. That's how Jerry Garcia sounds. That was being authentic. Or what can I see? All right. That's on us then. Well, thank you very much.

Coming up a special treat. We're going to do some unusual in a couple of minutes. Oh, good. Right now, I want to say hello to our friends at American financing. They're all about the world of grabbing some of the equity in your house without selling it. I've said this a hundred times. Your house is probably worth a lot more than it was if you bought it five years ago, 10 years ago. Most houses in the United States are worth about twice is what they were, which paid for them 10 years ago. So that may be time to do a refi. That way you can actually pull some of that equity out and spend that on what you want. And Tom, not only are we joined by one of our favorite comedians and people,

but we have one of our favorite people who is also one of our favorite staff members, but something is changing a little bit. You want to tell us about it? Yeah, we're joined by comedian Nick Griffin. Nick is not retiring. No. As far as I know. But we're joined by Christopher Geysen. Christopher Geysen. And you're saying goodbye to a part of your career, the part here. That's right. You will remain on the radio airwaves and other spots, but you'll be exiting, exiting this place. One of the finest radio broadcasters in the country. And one of the finest human beings in this building. We're going to miss you a lot. It's not too far. Being sincere and honest. I've always, Christopher and I have this ongoing sort of, we really, I know I respect you a lot. And I think you have a sh- I have total respect, yeah. I do. Well, you and I, and we also enjoy being nice. Yeah.

And so when you and I get together, we are, we try to be as mean to each other. You know how people always say, boy, I really think that you and I could be best friends. That's what I think of you. I really do. I really do. I've thought stupid things before. The delusional is the work they were working for. Yeah. Well, it's been fun teasing each other in the whole. It has been fun. And I have so many memories. I mean, you know, Christie one time kissed me on the lips. Oh, God. That was wonderful. My husband is listening. Oh, I'm sorry. That was a long time ago. What was there to When Chris, that was a House of Girlfriend in the market. but it was not very difficult to let you know becoming like him in the middle of Number One actor is the new master. After all, you know, in the middle of Number One movie in a few moments. Jimben, is not really so cool. Isn't there a person who be so young and Train Thus, like, real men, like the real men? it was really difficult and I look up to all of you and I appreciate everything that Tom has done it.

Well, we got a little present for you. If you want to open that, you can see we gift wrapped it. I believe I believe Kroger bags. I thought I had the wrapping paper in my office. I like the brown wrapping paper. We could have decorated it out. We had two choices. The other was plastic. We had a cake. Oh my goodness. We have a special poster. Can you hold it up on the camera? It's the Bob and Tom show Hall of Fame with a special photograph of Christopher and all of our puppets. And we've signed and the puppets are on there too. Do I get a puppet now? No, sorry. No, we can do it. We could get a puppet for you. Pick one of those and make it your puppet. They don't look like it. Pitons. Yeah, I'll do that. Yeah, some of the puppets can be very easily changed. This is so nice. This is so nice. I will hang this in my in my home probably in a closet. I called, I called Jess and I said, hey, I can either make it 11 by 17 or the next size up.

And she said, yeah, you want to make it the small one. She's smart. She doesn't. Yeah. For those who aren't familiar with you, Christopher is your air name. Right? Yes, it is. I mean, he really is a legend in radio and it's been an absolute pleasure to be working alongside you. Well, I'm gonna get all choked up. Let me ask you. Let's go back to the early days. This is kind of funny because Chick McGee is from the same area you grew up in and he was your biggest fan. He kind of went into radio because of your radio work. Did you see what happened? Did you start as Christopher right in the beginning or do you use a radio name? In the beginning, I was using my full name and then for some reason, I just started calling myself Christopher. Did your mom call you that when you were a kid? Yes. Yeah. And I always liked that name. Nothing against Chris or anything like that. It's actually not my real first name. But yeah, I started calling myself Christopher just one night and I liked it kind of rang. So it's your middle name? It's a fake name. Yeah, Chris is my middle name.

I was actually named after my father. My first real name is Paul. But nobody ever calls me. I didn't know that. I was really hoping that was gonna be a joke. No, my real name is Third Boy. I decided to go with my little name because I wasn't doing mornings. I was, and you know what, the early in my career was using goofy goofy for a while. I don't know why. Yeah, goofy Geisen. I don't know why. That was really stupid. I didn't know that. That's great. That was dumb. Goofy. Yeah. Wow. I'm anything but goofy. Now let's ask what kind of music when you started, were you playing, was it a rock and roll station? Yeah, it was a really. Actually, my very first job, I worked at a Christian station. That was only for about a year and a half, two years ago. So that's obviously where you were goofy. Yeah, that's right. And, uh, this is largely going to read from the, actually I started in high school. At my high school was lucky enough to have a radio station and I started there.

And then went to the Christian station for a little while. It's part of my college internship. And then I started playing rock and roll and I've been doing rock and roll ever since. That's rare because I mean, we've all done all kinds of different things. The one I haven't done, the one I've never done this country. I've never done country and, and uh, Christie and I, I have both done country and we did country back in the day of records. Yeah. When, oh yeah, none of the songs, they were all what two minutes. Oh yeah, maybe. And if you had to go to the bathroom, it would, I mean, good luck. Yeah. And the place I worked was in, well, I'll talk about this when you retire. Yeah. Man. I'm just, I'm just putting out conditioner. I'm lucky. He was. Can we do a two for today? Yeah, you're lucky. You'd never had to do that. Well, country music now is great. Back then it was, uh, they were all real quick. I remember the radio days when we used to come home from work and we were exhausted because we had to queue up records and pull carts. Oh yeah. Record phone calls and edit them and play them back.

Listeners. Yeah. Sure. Yes. We, uh, did you ever have this thing? We had a, uh, a photograph of the ugliest woman you've ever seen right on the phone bank. And it said, you're talking to her. Is who you're talking to. Yeah. Yeah. It's amazing. Some of the great voices that, uh, people have when they're, I was told that many times and never listened. No, I'm just saying. You went out with a list. Played Missy for me. Nevermind. Okay. We're speaking with Christopher. I'm a big icing over here. It was retiring from the Bob and Tom show. I am. And, uh, you've got your, uh, your hall of fame, a framed, uh, tribute, uh, featuring the Bob and Tom show puppets. That's really great. You guys, uh, I appreciate it more than you ever know. Uh, well, we certainly appreciate all of your hard work here. And certainly wish you the best. Mm-hmm. And your voice will be, uh, floating around these airways for a while longer. Nope. So we may, uh, we may be asking you to contribute it even more. Well, what will you be doing more of now that you'll be doing?

Well, I, um, I have a grandson now. He's, uh, four years old. I'll be hanging out with him and, uh, at my 50 year class reunion last year, I reconnected with my high school sweetheart. Oh, we've been dating ever since. Oh my god. Yeah. What's his name? Tony and Tony. See, a thought, this is what Christopher, you thought he was going to get away with it. So you got me back already, Josh, I was speechless. Well, that's kind of cool. That's great. Yeah. That's sort of a hallmark movie ready to be made again. Sure enough. Yeah. Are you going to, are you, you see, you've got a four year old grandson? I do. Are you going to give him, maybe get him used to talking into a microphone? I don't know. He's, uh, he's probably too smart to start doing that. He's, he's pretty intelligent. Ha, ha, ha. By the time he's 21, he'll be interested to see if radio exists. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Never know. Uh, we're hoping. Yeah. We're, we're doing just fine. But then we certainly appreciate it. Once again, we're speaking with a Christopher, uh, who was, uh, exiting the,

the Bob and Tom world, uh, for the most part. Yeah. And, uh, going, going back to, uh, hanging out with the screens, did you play golf or anything? I play golf. Oh, yeah. There you go. Oh, you do. I should have your motorcycle. I do. There you go. I still have my Harley. I do some fishing every once in a while. I got back into fishing and, oh, yeah, your, uh, girlfriend is a championship caster. Yeah. Nice. Yeah. She is. Yeah. How cool is that? Yeah. Is that the thing where they have like the hula hoops floating and you've got to hit them? Yes. Yeah. Well, obviously we were just at a tournament last weekend as well. Bobby Don. That's kind of cool. You did great. That is cool. Wow. Um, well, uh, the best of luck with that. Thank you. Can you carry your golf clubs on a Harley? No. That is so great. Oh, good to know though. You have to have a side car. Oh, yeah. To do that. Well, Chris, thanks so much. Thank you guys. Great job. We love you working with you. Well, I love all of you too. Pat and Christy and Josh and Tom and Ace and Nick like I like all of you. I love you. Thank you. And everybody behind the scenes too, Jeff Oscar and all those guys back in the stage.
