This is an I Heart Podcast. Guaranteed Human Ready for a different take on Formula One, look no further than NoGrip, a new podcast tackling the culture of motor racing's most coveted series. Join me, Lily Herman, as we dive into the under-explored pockets of F1. Including the astrology of the current grid, the story of the sports' most consequential driver's strike, and plenty of other mishaps, scandals, and sagas that have made Formula One a delightful, decadent, dumpster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to NoGrip on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast Eating While Broke is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future. day on the I Heart Radio app by searching fsr. What did you say earlier? I was like, yo, Kavino, where were you? When you can't hit that game-winning shot, Mullins. What did I say? Kavino was like, yo, I wasn't watching. I watched it later. I wonder, should you lie to your buddies about, yeah, do it. I was locked in because I've missed big plays and when someone's like, yo, I'm always torn if I should just fib and go along with that. I love how you call me out. I'm like the biggest moment of the weekend. Meanwhile, you watch nothing and come in here and pretend like you've seen it all. A lot of me. I missed because I wasn't there in the moment because I was being a chauffeur to my kid. No, but I'm saying in those moments, I watched all the fights. I watched all the games. No, I don't think you ever lie. You see the highlights. You see it when you see it. I don't think you lie because you expose yourself when you lie. Well, we've talked about that where the people, let's just say the people that left Miami when they thought the spurs were going to win the NBA finals, whoa, like 10 years ago.

If you're one of those people that left gamer early and the team made a comeback or you just happen to be stepping out. Like you said, you're running an errands or bringing your kids somewhere. If you missed a big play, do you just go along with the conversation at work or no? No, because you have to explain why you didn't see it live, but yeah, I saw it because I did see it. What did I see it? Three minutes after the fact. I mean, I saw it. Everybody saw it. If you didn't see it, that's the problem. Like your algorithm is so weak that somehow between then and now you didn't see it, then you and I are not the same cat at all. I don't think we're telling them you had to see it at the moment. You're going to see it. You're going to see it. You go along with the person at work, meaning a lot of times you, all right, let's play it out because what you're saying is ridiculous. Go ahead. Hey, man, talk to me about the game. Bro, it was just a passing comment. Like it's a butter. Do say it. And I'm going to tell you like you don't have to admit it. Go ahead. That was wild. All he had to do was hold the ball there and he tried to pass the ball forward and you saw the deflection. Yeah.

No, sorry, man. I didn't see it. I saw it like three minutes later. Why would I have to stop the conversation to explain that? That's what I'm saying. So you do think you should go along with you ass clown. Why does me not having to see it live have anything to do with the story? Bro, it's Monday. I didn't want to head about you until at least there's that because what you're saying is Astonine, dude. It really is. You don't have to see it live to know what happened. No, but I appreciate the honesty because remember the home run derby you guys left early and when we had our pre-show meeting live from Atlanta the next morning to fill in for the DP show. You guys had a conversation. You're like, should we just say that? No. And then you said, no, no. We got to be honest. I'm just faking the fuck and I don't believe in that, but it doesn't really get it wire and admission unless you ask where were you when it happened? It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter because why would I stop someone's, yeah, I saw it. Why does watching it live have, you know, any relevance to the story? Unless they asked you specifically, were you watching it live or you have like a story

to attack onto it? Like I spilled my popcorn everywhere. I spilled my drink on my pants. You know what I did? I started head-butting on my friends because I was watching it live. I just got caught up in the moment. It was a passing comment. We could move along. My point was I, for all the things you watched, you just happened to be out in that moment. It's like when someone at work goes, oh, Danny, you work at Fox Sports. Do you know Bob Thompson? You may not know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think I heard him. I'm going to continue with your story. I'm just saying, a lot of times you're just, yeah, yeah, yeah, actually, I'd say who? Who? The Paul Thompson? Yeah, just tell the story. It doesn't matter. I've never heard of him. I saw the highlights broadcasting live from the Fox Sports Radio studio. I would say I spilled this popcorn apparently everywhere. If you miss any of today's show, any show ever, catch the podcast, search Covino and Rich wherever you get your podcast and just fast forward through the first six minutes of today's show. And remember, you can watch what you hear at Covino and Rich FSR were streaming live at Covino and Rich FSR.

It's an odd sort of thing. You like so much went down. Did you watch the Yankee game live? No, you saw the highlights. Did you watch the Fendora fight? No, you heard me talk about it. Did you watch UFC? No, but I did see that female fighter look like she died and then it was like, thank God she was okay. That was scary. And then choked out like a double losing barber. Yeah, she got, she got, oh, she got beat bad. It was a skip barber. It was a scary moment. Oh, I take said barber. I'm like, there hasn't been a woman named barber since 1940. No, no, no, barber. So thank you guys. It was a weekend of great basketball, great baseball, ABS systems, controversial strike calls, turned over. And of course, some great fights and live trumpets, live trumpets are already getting controversial. I'm not a fan of the live trump, but I want some big fat Mexican guy with a big fat Mexican mustache. They should have just found some, some cool vato. Yeah, I wanted some, but you know what?

Not trying to take anything away from, with a recorder, Tatiana Tate is playing Narco for Edwin Diaz live at Dodger Stadium. And she did a great, great job. But I remember. Is that permanent? Did she get the gig? To me, she, from what I've heard, she's like some sort of renowned trumpet player. Like, she was like a child prodigy that she had the time she must be getting paid then to give up all the home game schedule just to be there for when he pitches. Yeah, after his very first official save for the Dodgers, they asked him on the field after the win. Is, was that in your contract? Was that part of it that you get a live trumpet player? Yeah, I don't know, dude, then we're going to have to rotate it because she can't be that available. So you played a professional musician. You played the trumpet in high school. I sure did. You should know, you know, throw your name in the head. Maybe I'll hop in there. So some exciting games props to her. You know what? Since you brought it up to NEG, there's plenty to get to from Boba Shatt to Yukon beating Duke.

But there is some debate on whether or not Mason Miller has a better entrance because he came out to corn this weekend. Are you ready to blind? Yeah. Of course, blind by corn and as a rock fan. Yeah, but it was corn there doing it live. No, but as a rock fan, as a guy that plays that stuff every night, I totally give it the rock horns and seal of approval. It's official. I give it that. Oh my God. Does Mason Miller know that you gave it to the approval? I have. So much to let him know. Steve Kavino. But hold on. Like, someone's like, yo, bro, is it the best of all time? I'm like, did you forget about Mariana Rivera? Like, sorry. No. It's great. It's better than Edwin Diaz, but you got to prove yourself. So for that reason alone, yeah, Edwin Diaz is still above him, in my opinion. Mason Miller has all the potential in the world because it's a hell of an entrance and the timing of it just works so perfectly. I think it's a little too cool for the San Diego Padres, to be honest. Some of their fans are a little corny, no offense.

I said no offense, corny, but when you're, you can't insult people and just say no offense. I said no offense. We all do respect. Yeah. Hey, it's like what, it's like what's something big botching a little grito on the sopranos. We go, hey, don't mean the same fans that had that weak ass rap a few years ago when they made the playoffs. It's not a horn, but it's corn. That's what's it. That's what's it. Those corn balls that they had out there. Now, yes, corn balls get it. Corn, corn, corn, corn. What's that stat Rivera had? More people walked on the moon than scored on Mariana Rivera in the post season. And you want to say that he has the best entrance ever. Did we forget enter Sandman, New York Yankees? That's the start of all of this. So you can't have that conversation without at least being honest first. Would you find that Mariana Rivera fun fact in you're like a Yankees bathroom book that's on top of the toilet? No, I have a tattoo on my ass. You want to see? Please. Okay. Well, next commercial break. I'll give you a, you can go nose deep and check it out, all right?

Okay. So check this out, guys. Yeah. Nice and Miller with his entrance, Diaz had the live trumpets. I love the theatrics. I love the, as Colin put it, the game show atmosphere of the ABS strike call the challenge. It's been adding so much fun. I think it changes so much strategy and again, news flash has been going on in the minor leaks for a minute. But when you see it at this level, you're like, wow, this is really changed in the game. It's really interesting. I hope you guys enjoyed it. That being said, before we get into some college basketball and all the fun that happened this weekend, speaking of baseball, your boy, Boba Schett's in the news, Rich. Yeah. You know what? And I feel like Boba Shett, I'm excited about this guy. I'm excited. I mean, as a mess fan, why would I not be excited about Boba Shett? Meet Bishop. Come on. Come on. Come on and meet Bishop. I think we're doing meet the Mets. I like Boba Shett. I'm going to tell you. He's in New York met by day, a bounty hunter by night.

I, Boba Shett. I didn't want to bring up one thing about the ABS real quick. I saw something that I wasn't even sure. You said Colin on the heard said, it's very game showy. Yeah, it is. I like the theatrics and, you know, in stadium, it seems to be a party waiting to see what the result is. Just when you thought you knew everything about the ABS challenge, this is something I learned over the weekend. I don't know if Danny G. Dan Byer. The broadcast team has access, even if it's not a challenge, meaning what the Mets are in extra innings. They lost to the pirates, congrats Pittsburgh yesterday, dude, no cameras got you up to a grain of rice, man, a grain of rice, they say, that's how close these pitches are. Since seven cameras at different angles, 12 cameras, geez. What I didn't realize was that there was a pitch to lendoor in extras. Call for city field goes nuts, walk. It looked close. Pittsburgh did not challenge Gary Keith and run the Mets broadcast team were like, wow,

surprise. The pirates sitting challenge there, let's take a look and like, oh, there it was. It was a strike. So the broadcast team, did you know that they have access to check just for the fun of the broadcast? I didn't know that. No. So it's like, Danny, you can be watching the dodge big, ooh, they should have challenged. But the broadcast team has a hanker in to check as well. They could be like, well, let me check. That was a ball after all. That's cool. That way we could be extra frustrated as fans of our teams get it back. Exactly. Yeah. So we saw a lot of ABS. Like you said, a lot of fun. You know what, though, I really think because we saw how aggravated that one umpire got this weekend. Yeah, nine calls. Yeah, nine calls. Wrong. They really need to and most of them are, but they really need to use this the same way we need to use chat GPT like as a tool and look at it as a way to get better in whatever it is that you do like embrace it because if the umpire looks frustrated with it, it's just going to make them more obsolete faster and sooner than later. Like if they use it as like, yeah, we're just committed to getting it right and yeah,

we like the ABS system. You know, they need to embrace it and use it to their advantage. And that way we the public don't look at it like it's making them look bad. Well, like they can't acknowledge that as making them look bad. No, no, no, we're trying to get it right. You see what I'm saying? Of course I do. I, in fact, I uh, I'll go as far as to compare like they shouldn't be embarrassed. I'll go as far as to compare umpires right now. By the way, it's 50, 50 pretty much on the call so far about four challenges of game. It's not taken over, but it is a fun layer. What I, what I'll compare to is self-check out at a supermarket. Of course as humans, you know, we want, we don't want people. We're losing their jobs. So like you, you don't want the whole place to be self-check out because then it's like, I have, you know, poor old Edna and you know, Bob who's retired. These guys, you know, you want people to have jobs. You don't want the world to be taken over by robots, but I'll be honest, I use self-check out most of the time. There's people that are like, why are we not using this 100% of the time?

What? It's almost like we're treating the umpires like the senior citizens who have retirement jobs at Ralph's. Like, uh, we don't want to like have them lose their jobs. Like maybe one, if you can, you can use self-check out if you want. I can just view it as, you know, they still do a, a good job unless just enhanced the experience. I was like, why would you not use it for every pitch if we're learning that it's accurate? Eventually, you probably will. I think so. I think I saw so many on X post that they want what you guys are proposing, but now they're not so sure because they love how on-pires are being embarrassed. Like they love that. Yeah. That's why they need to pull a boba set and nip that in the bud and we'll explain meaning like beat them to the punch because like, no, no, no, we're, we're fans of this. We embrace it because the more they look embarrassed and frustrated, the more the fans and we the public are going to get on them, the more they embrace it and roll with it as like, yeah, we're big fans of this too to get this right. The less heat they're going to, they're going to feel you guys want to know what stood

out to me about the Hennios Suarez one after I walked through a couple of times. He challenged two. Yes. Back to back. Yeah. What struck me about this, because I think that this is actually part of the conversation was the first call was an inside ball that was low and it was very, and that was called a strike, your challenge tip, then it was a ball. The next pitch was an outside pitch that was called a strike. That was out of the strike zone. I can get it. If they were both inside pitches and Buckner strike zone was more inside, maybe he's not calling that out. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah. He called an inside pitch a strike when it was a ball and he called an outside pitch. That was a strike. That was a ball. Exposed them. It did. Yes. Like, if you were consistent, if you had a couple like, you know, three or four pitches that were inside, you're like, I've got an inside zone, the, you know, the art of the plates going to be a ball. This was all over the place. Yeah. We've known that for years. Yes. In all levels of sports. It's like, oh, this, this umpire, it's got a high strike zone or like he calls the inside pitch.

This guy, he missed inside. Yes. That's what really bothered me about the call. And then I'm like, well, thank goodness they have this because if you are a hitter and I don't know if the second one was out of spite because he got the first one wrong. You maybe just want to ring them up anyway and don't think that he'll do it again. But like, that was the issue that I saw as see me Buckner strike zone was like, is it a while though to think though, some of these calls that are right by the use of a half an inch. Can you blame the human eye at a hundred miles an hour or like, man, he missed it. But it's going to keep, it's going to keep the umps honest. It's going to keep them locked in. And like I said, they have to roll with it because they have to eliminate the feeling of embarrassment. Yeah. Well, there's early observations, pitchers should not be calling this apparently pitchers have a 25% success rate so far, batters and catchers more than 50%. So you're looking at, if you're there behind the plate as a catcher or you know the zone is a hitter, the pitcher, maybe it's the angles, whatever the catcher and adrenaline

because in the way catchers frame pitches, they don't have an accurate view. So Chris sale spoke of that recently, you'll, you'll see less pitchers doing this. And my other observation is some are saying that there's a new bat flip in town. You know what the new bat flip is, you know, you hit a home run, you celebrate, you bat flip. Yeah, but this is showing up the umpires again. I know that I'm like, hey, bat flips don't show up the umpires, bat flips show up the pitcher. Yeah. This is showing up the umpire. I'm not a fan of this. I've seen a few times, for instance, was it a Rosarena for Rosarena, who started walking to first before the results of the challenge even came in? Umpire was like, strike and he's like, nah, it was a ball takes off like the shin guard, the elbow, trots down to first like with such arrogance, like he bumped into Rick the model, Martel. Yeah. I don't want arrogance and confidence that he's like, nah, I know better than you. And that, that could rub an umpire the wrong way, like I'm already at first base with my gear off because I'm certain I'm right and you're wrong.

I don't think that's what you want to do to an umpire. And you know what, it's changing the game, but it's changing it for the better. We're talking about it. People are glued in. It's not taking a lot, a lot of time and it's been a lot of fun to see so far. So I hope you enjoyed that this weekend. And when I say nipping it in the bud or pulling a boba shed, I mean this. I think the umpires, like I said, need to eliminate any feeling of embarrassment, any feeling or thought of they're being shown up and he's sort of angry um expressions that you've been seeing throughout the weekend be committed to get it right. It's just part of their job, part of the game now. I see that because it's like a theory we've had rich for years where if you got a big giant pimple right on a tip of your nose, right? I feel like you got to acknowledge it before someone else does you nip it in the bud. You take away the criticism before they can even say it. You take away the punch line, you take away the heat before someone else can. I live by that. Like, you know what? I got a bad haircut. I'm going to tell you about it because now I took that away from you.

You can't talk about it. I already did. See someone takes the steam. I might say, just don't know because someone's thinking it. You're a fool. If you think that one of your buddies isn't going to point it out. Like if you're wearing a weird looking shirt because you're anant for you, yeah, I know it's a weird shirt. Boom. You just took that punch line away from someone else. And I think the umpires need to do that to the fans. And I think that's what your boy, Boba Shet did to the Mets fans over the weekend. And I, and I thought this is a great move. The Mets won two out of three, but Boba Shet had a really rough start as a New York man. One for 11, I think, right? To seven strike out to the point where are the fans were booing him on an opening homestand. And by the way, shame on you, Mets fans when you're booing Boba Shet, game three, you, you took two or three, but Boba Shet did not look good at the plate. And Boba Shet commented on this, take a listen to former Blue Jay now, New York metropolitan. No, if anything, I thought it took too long. But I mean, I get it.

I thought my vats were terrible too. So former former mullet now high and tight, get Boba Shet, saying that he thought it took too long. Yo, how do you feel about the Mets fans booing you? I thought it took too long. My vats were terrible. In that press conference. What do I mean? Embrace. But he wanted to say that, hey, listen, man, I really want to impress the Mets fans and I was pressing because I really am passionate about this. And you know what? I think that's getting ahead of it. So I do like that. I think I believe in that. I believe in getting ahead of it. I believe in being honest about it because when you do those things, that's where you lose all the steam. It's, it's also the Andy Pettit when he was caught with PEDs back in the day. What did he say? Yeah, I did it. I did it because I was trying to get back from an injury. I was trying to get back on the field faster. It didn't make him anymore. Because I love it so much. It didn't make him any more innocent, but he took ownership, accountability. He explained it. And that took a lot of the heat off of a guy like Andy Pettit. The people that lied about it, that resisted it. Those are the ones that you remember always.

So if Boba's shit was like, yeah, man, I'm really mad about all these people booing me. I just got here back off, guys. I'm just trying to fit in, you know? The fans will eat them up even more. Just like they're going to eat up these ops, the more they complain about being shown up or being embarrassed. I think it was always. It was an embrace. It take the steam out of it. You could argue as a mild masterclass in handling a new fan base early on. So yeah, in other words, Boba said, man, I'd be booing myself too. I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. And you know what? That's it in the butt. That's his way of also saying, like, you know, I want to do well for you. I know this is a big market. Trust me, I'll deliver, but I'm, listen, I'm, I'm, I would have booed me too. I think that's a great approach. And he said it with a smile on his voice and everything. So if he was angry about it, that's fans would be getting on him more baseball fans, period would be getting on him more. And it's a question in itself, Fox Sports Radio Nation, 87799 on Fox. Do you subscribe to taking the steam out, nipping it in the bud or waiting for someone else to call you out?

The same way we've been seeing it in baseball throughout the weekend question. You ever have a woman say to you, I know what you did. So you met us will tell me, yeah, but then you start thinking of all the things you did. I don't know what you want. She's talking about. Oh, I know. So you might as well just admit it. And you're like, those are Jedi mind tricks, never fall, never fall back to them. I'm with you. Yeah. Yeah. What do I do? No. And do anything? You tell me. Yeah. You know what I did down me. Those five words, I went through your phone. Oh. I know. You wouldn't. So you, you could tell me because I know. Okay. That's another one. Ready? Nip it in the bud. Yeah. You're out and about, or let's say someone hits you, someone slides into your DMs. If there's a chance your way for a girlfriend finds out, right? Because they know, let's say they notice Carl or something. Like do you tell them first? Like do you nip it in the bud or do you let things play out? Like I think by doing this, I think Boba Shett nipped it.

He's like, yep, I stink. I'm trying to get better. You nip these things in the bud. You just roll with them. Your thoughts at 877-99 on Fox. Let's get interactive. Most interactive show on Fox Sports Radio. Let's do this. Monday. Kavine on Rich. And we got all your feedback plus we're going to talk about low budget things you've seen in sports. Like we're talking about like when professional players, teams, and organizations pull out some low budget nonsense. I got a, I got a classic example. Okay. Low budget things in life. Look at that too. Oh, yeah. Ready for a kick ass week. Are you ready for the final four? Are you ready for Mason Miller? To be the guy. It does have a cool entrance. Really cool entrance. Like I said, the timing of it. It just all lines up perfectly with the guitar. Are you ready by the time like he's right there on the field right around that time? Kind of cool to see. So I hope you enjoyed your weekend.

I hope you had a UConn sort of weekend, UConn over Duke, man, that was big logo threes. They were up 19 points at one point, 15 points at the half to come back and upset Duke that way. You said 19 points. The kid that hit the shot, Mullins, Braylin Mullins. He's 19 years old. Like, is it a wild thing? He's a kid. He's a kid. That's the given way. I mean, we talked the other day about, he's not Mike or Steve or Rich. We heard our pal, John Boy, you may have seen the same clip where there's only one Mike in Major League Baseball, which makes you realize all our names in the 80s and 90s are old guys. Which by the way, we live in a world of amazing stats. What? And that might be my, like, biggest head scratcher. My trout is the only one Mike in the big leagues right now. That's crazy. You know, I guess a bunch of Braylins and Dylan's and you know, Carson's and, you know, it's so, so weak when your name becomes an old guy name. Yeah. Sorry. Sorry, Mike's might as well be Ebenezer and George on Fox Sports Radio.

Who? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Is he on Ebenezer? The challenge, the ABS. You know, it's interesting. We're so in it right now. And it's so much fun. We watch our first weekend of baseball where it was circus like in game show, like at times. The reactions of the fans, the guys preemptively running down to first or the tapping of the helmet in a key moment, eventually, it's going to just be, we're going to look back to that. Remember when they didn't have this and it's going to be crazy, like we let the umpires make bad calls and just accepted it. I was talking about this with one of the dads when I was coaching over the weekend because we were talking about this because it was a hot topic. I said, you know, layers of the game slowly do go away though. There's two things that we learned as kids. If you grew up in the 80s and 90s, like we did, there are two things that no one longer matter that when you were a kid, you took pride in batting average, framing a pitch. Okay. Doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. What?

What would it matter? I guess, well, if it matters if the ABS isn't called, but that's what I'm saying. Like, the idea of framing a pitch, hoping that you get the call from blue like, I guess doesn't matter as much when you put it that way, it changes it changes it. And yo, I feel like I tried to master. This is a kid. I know. I mean, the Pogo ball, Pogo ball, I tried to master this. Oh, I know, I know. Skip it. Oh, you stole my joke. I stole your bad joke. But when I was a kid, you know, you tag a guy out, you jump up and like, got him blue and you start like walking back to the dugout selling a call selling a call. There was such a, there was such a skill in like, are you good at being confident? Like, you got him. Now it's like, man, it doesn't matter. You could be, you could be, uh, Meryl Streep. You could be the greatest actor you ever want. All of those things. Sellin' a call means nothing. It's trying to fool the umpire. There's still ways to try to fool your opponent. And that's what the game should be based on anyway, like Deacon apply. We've seen some great ones in the WBC, like, there's ways to fool your opponent.

We should be, we shouldn't be focused on fooling the umpire anyway. That's just weak. But you're right, Rich. I'm with you. I'm with you. I, it's definitely changing things. But for the better. Jamie wants. Shame on you. Hey, by the way, you're, you're playing this. It makes me think of a very special guest we have on Wednesday. We don't want to give it away. But a very special guest will be here on the show live Wednesday right here on Kavino and Rich. Can't wait. George W. Bush. Oh, no. Can't wait. But it made me think of it. Well, uh, we'll, uh, we'll take your feedback and phone calls. Now this past weekend, not only was Boba Shett giving you a master class on how to deal with the media when you're messing up and fancy a boot and he said, you know what? I would have booed me too. We talked about, I think accountability goes a long way and owning it and nipping it in the butt. I think that that extinguishes all the fire and all the heat your way. I think you just roll with it and own it. And I think that's how you handle all situations where you're getting criticism in life.

Like even in radio, Rich, they do something called air checks where your boss basically tells you what you're doing and right and doing wrong. I notice when I push back and I try to over explain, yeah, I get it, but I'm trying to do this. That's when it gets like convoluted and defensive and awkward when I'm just like, yeah, man, thanks. Appreciate criticism. Yeah. Great. I'll get him next time. That really appreciate criticism. Bam. You just roll forward and you move on and everybody feels it's the ability to like not look shook. Yeah. It's not easy. There's so many times I want to push back or say something that doesn't need to be radio or an air check. It could be your boss at your job. Whatever you do for living. If you're boss, like, Hey, Johnson, I really wish you did blank more. Yeah. If you said, Hey, boss, you got it, man. You're right. Like, you know what? Boba shit really wants to say, yeah, you know how hard it is to hit a 104 mile per hour on a new team. You losers. But with me, you've got you, Bums, who've never got it passed little league, Bum, it

booing me. Boba, your bum losers. Bums. But instead, he's like, Hey, you know what, I agree with you guys. You guys are the best. You know what? I was right with the best. I booed me too. That's okay, Boba, Shay. We won't boo you as much now. No, it's like everyone. Kim Peel had the translator for Obama. It's like what you really want to say versus what you say, just it's better just put the fire out. Zippy. Zippy. I agree. Not a bad thing. One last thing I want to give you. Who's having a worst start? Boba Shetter, Cal Raleigh. Dude. No offense. You read my mind. I said, I hate to give Kovino props. But when we talked about who's going to have like if you had to do it out on the limb, like what star is going to stink it up this year? Listen with three games into 162. So let's slow down. Yeah. It's a very, very long season. No, of course, but I'm saying, remember last year when Rich was so, so sure about what was going on with your bet that Rich, you tried to pay off Kovino. Yeah. At one point, at one point, at one point, the Mets were significantly better than the Yankees and I'm so let you buy out of the bet.

I'm so cocky. And the Mets ended up winning 83 games. What are the Yankees win? I'm 94. 94. So, yeah. A lot could change. But not the start. Cal Raleigh wanted. He is, let me write the two for 15 with 10 strikeouts. Like, yo, you said, yo, Cal Raleigh is not going to have the year he had last year. It wasn't rooting against him and it wasn't me as some sort of clairvoyant. I'm not mad at Ruby. It was a matter of. I see a bicycle. It was a matter of like, he was really swinging a weak bat during the World Baseball Classic. The Alamo. So, you know, he's, he's just off. I'm not wishing him any, any harm. I hope he comes back. But anyway, so far, he's the big slumber. The big slumber man. And, you know what, even a guy like, you know, this happens, uh, that's why baseball over 162 games is really miraculous and I, and I don't say that like, I wrote, I say it for real. Sometimes you'll see a star player, stink it up for the first like month and at the end of the year. If they're a great player, they somehow, their stats just show like soda last year, like

soda. So that's how to rough start as a met and it ends up being the runner up MVP to Otani. Well, you know what? I'll tell you this, Paul skeens looked like asked, didn't even get out of the first inning against the Metz. But I promise you by the all-star break, because he already is going to be like two. You really think Paul skeens, well, something lost it or you think it'll be like, oh, man, pain. Yes. Now I got to work. Now I got to work back. All right. Let's go to our pal and yours. Dan Byer for an update. D.B. What's going on, man? Home opener for the Kansas City Royals taking on the Minnesota twins today. Patrick Mahomes is in attendance, watching the royals lead Minnesota by score of two to one. Are we going live to Patrick Mahomes at Coffman Stadium? D.B. I will say this. I know you're a uniform guy. Did you see that the royals slightly changed their gold and blue? No, I didn't. Look at that. I bring you some fun. Look at that. There's the different shade of it is that with a lighter blue and a different shade of gold. So if you look in the stands, everyone's going to slightly different color jerseys.

Well, right now, Salvador Perez just struck out. So royals though up to one in that contest against Minnesota. By the way, they want to rub it in one of my survivor picks of the week, Kansas City. There you go. Inside joke of us here on Fox Sports Radio. And our choice is a no brainer. Sorry, gets it in to Cam Booser, Booser, back to Tsar. Now ahead to Caden Booser and you can't got a steal. Carabin from Mullins, one, three, he hit the long three pointer from the logo with three

tens of a second left to go. I don't believe it. It was a little, it was a little, uh, Pete Weber in there. He did it. That was awesome. All right. Is that redemption for late in there, like late there did it to them and now they did it to Duke. Is that redemption like 30 plus years in the making Sam, you should have played redemption song, bro. You blew it. You blew it. redemption song. Hey, speaking of Cam Booser, can we talk about this for a minute? Can we give a thumbs down to the Duke medical staff? This is the weakest, some of the weakest stuff I've ever seen, Danny G nail on the head. Danny G is our super producer.

If you ask yourself, Kovino and Rich, what do you get all these great ideas? How do you guys do it? Well, a big part of it. And the tip of the Yankee Camp goes to Danny G. How do you do it? We put our heads together, but Danny G's like, hey, where do you think it is? Heads together like curly in the referee and a lot of the times, a lot of times we're all on the same wavelength, right? Because we all see the same things, but I was like, you know, man, did you see Cam Booser and what they did? Did you see the medical staff trying to take the swelling down with a soda can, a soda can to the face? That's what they were using as like a cold compress. You know how Boxer is supposed to have? I have a cold compress for my morning bags. Well, you're a vain sucker. The courtesy of Harry's, if anyone's looking for one, Harry's men products. I have one in my fridge. The medical staff for Duke doesn't have one. And that's no BS. I really have. Because I'm a fight fan. I've always wanted one. I'm like, well, if it takes the swelling down, I want one because I wake up looking like Mr. McGoo. I wake up. I'm like, well, I don't have a lot of luggage. I don't have bags.

I have a luggage. And I have a cold compress, swear to God, do you wear those little things out of your eyes before bed like women do? They'll go to strips. Oh. Do you see cucumber slices? Yeah. I traded the cucumber slices, Sam, for the cold compress. But they used a soda can, does the type of soda can matter? I don't know. What kind was it, Danny? Did you see? Oh, it was a Dr. Pepper. I hear they're the best to take down the swelling. So we're kind of thinking of the most low budget things you've ever seen. So I don't want to start thinking about it. You find it low budget. If you have your little kid, or you bought a Bumsher knee, you don't grab like a bag of peas out of the freezer. Like Scotty Smalls mom in Sandlots, he grabs a steak, puts it right on his face. I can't say. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You use those things in emergency. There's no question. That's fine. Yeah, but not from a medical staffer. But this is a Duke medical staffer, yeah. So you're saying if someone had a came up with a bum knee, you don't think of bag of peas at a college. And now he probably has an eye infection because, you know, you know, dirty those cans are dirtier than the ones you were sticking to your nose between Super Bowl weekend rich.

That's how dirty, okay? They're dirty. They're dirty. I got proof. Fair. I got proof. I got proof. Well, low budget things. Do it next right here. Camino Rich on a Monday. FSR. But during the game, a scene where Cam Booser must have taken Elbow to the nose or something, I missed this part. If you know, feel free to chime in. He took a finger to the eye, slightly, I don't know. He got a little swelling around the eye. I'm imagining because around the cheek, maybe he follows a curricular guy, maybe a curricular and he was hammering his face. Maybe he was bone smashing and he did to come the swelling. Maybe the Sebastian Fendora jammed him all the way from wherever they were fighting. But the Duke medical staff comes out. He took a elbow by the way. It was an elbow. Duke medical staff comes out and this is what you see. You see them trying to take the swelling down with the can of soda.

And I can't say that it's not a great choice in a crazy moment. If you don't have an ice pack, but even your nurse at school, even my grade school, shout out to Miss Mollick when I was a little grade school boy and I'd go there because I don't know. I wanted to get out of class. At least she gave you an ice pack. You mean to tell me, you mean to tell me that the Duke medical staff doesn't have an ice pack. Remember that weird feeling of going to the nurses office and you'd be like, lay down and she's hanging an ice pack and you're like, for what? That's what I mean. Yeah. Like, yeah. This turned into a black eye, by the way. Really? Okay. It's no surprise because it's kind of Dr. Pepper. We were trying to do some investigative journalism here like closing in on the can. They didn't look like Dr. Pepper Sam. I thought it looked like a Coke can, like Coca Cola. Jeez Sam. Like how many Coke cans? I'm talking about that. I don't like that either. How many Coke cans like that do it on the Vikings back of the day? I thought it looked like Coca Cola, original, classic.

So you know, I got us thinking of some low budget stuff, the most low budget things you've ever seen. Now I get it. As an audible, I get it, but they should have been prepared and it takes me back speaking of Sebastian Fendora beating Keith Thurman this weekend. One of the weakest things we've ever seen, and it's a direct reflection of unpreparedness, right? Like you were not prepared for this situation. I get it. If your kid bumps his head and all you have is a bag of peas or a can, a soda can. Yeah. You're just, oh wow. What do I do? Right? You're improvising. This is the Duke medical staff. I want to take you back to Tokyo. What was it? 1990? But can I give you a guide? I'm sorry. Go back. I was going to say, you know where most people are like, what do I do? You got a little one. Co is what? How old now? Two and a half. It looks like he's five and a half, but he's two and a half. How many times are you driving around with your kid and you hear like, and they got snot all over their face and you're like, you know, you know, like, I don't have a tissue. I don't have a piece of, I don't have a napkin, so we keep a pack of wet ones in the back

seat. Sometimes you don't have one on hand and you're like, do I have like an old shirt and the trunk? Oh gross. No, I think we've all been there as parents. Well, you got to improvise. You're prepared now because these two, but when they get a little older, you're like, you don't have wipes on hand. Let me take you back to February 11th, 1990 Tokyo. You were just a little pumpkin pie haircut a kid, probably, and you're watching your hero, Mike Tyson fight, Buster Douglas. And Buster Douglas was busting him up from the start. I've said this a million times in rich nose. That whole fight we were watching for Tyson and Nakameh. What's Tyson and Nakameh? What's Tyson and Nakameh? What is Tyson and Nakameh? I've actually knocked them down. The truth is, if you watched that fight again, Buster Douglas was lighting them up from the get go. Right? He was boxing Mike Tyson, lighting them up. Your instinct though, when you were a kid in 1990, you didn't care about that. You're just waiting for Tyson to land and beat his ass. Yeah. Because it's all perspective. You were like, wow, Buster Douglas ain't doing so bad. It just a matter of time before Tyson whoops his ass. And that just never happened. If you remember, they go to the corner and Tyson's eyes starting to swell up a little bit.

They didn't have anything because they weren't prepared. And they used a rubber glove, do you remember that? Just a rubber glove filled with ice water. So there's good there. What are you doing? Why do you got this on my face? And it was just a rubber glove filled with ice water, trying to like take the swelling down because no one was prepared for Buster Douglas hurting him in the slightest. But what if Douglas roughs up Tyson? Yeah, that's not going to happen. We don't need a cold compress. But they had a rubber glove looking up. And that was like a big part of the story. They're like, yeah, I really didn't play a factor, but how unprepared were you that you're a corner man that you didn't even have what you needed to take the swelling down. So it got us thinking of some of the most low budget things you've ever seen. I got what I pulled the one recently, dude, I did some real low budget stuff the other day. Not too low. It was like a month ago. I had a hole in my I always get these screws in my tire and telling you my neighbors hate me. Someone's out to get me. I always got screws in my tires and like, you neighbor owns a tire shop.

No, seriously, I feel like they're bamboozling everybody. These tire shop owners are just screwing and hammer nails into your tire. So I had a screw in my tire and just to get from point A to point B, I didn't have time to be changing tires, right? And I'd have time to go to the tire shop. I put some you saw me. I put I filled it up and I put tape over the tire duct tape. I'm just trying. I was just trying to buy as much time. I have these run flats and I can hear the air coming out the tire. But when I put the tape over it, it's slow it down some I'm like, man, this is some low budget stuff. Can I get a low budget? Do you guys have any low budget thing you've done to fix things? When it rains in LA, which is rare, right? My wife and I bought our house out here in Los Angeles and it was it had not been touched since the 60s. If a lot of people do this, we flipped it essentially, but we live in it. We had to do everything all over. So they tore down the roof, the gutters, the society, everything. We never put new gutters on.

So there was a time period where we didn't have gutters and you might say, you don't have gutters. Sam, you could back me up. What does it rain three times a year in LA? Yeah. Maybe it depends. It depends. Yeah. It pours as they say. So for those couple times a year where it actually rained hard, I was getting like home depot buckets and like, you know, crate you store things in and I would just strategically put them around my house to catch the water. And I was like, how? How is this low budget until you fix the problem? It's low budget. It was my co-can, like the essentially Duke's medical staff using a soda can to take down the swelling from cam boozer. And well, his name's boozer, perhaps it was a Budweiser can, I don't know. But I do say I said I had proof I have dirty those things are. It was a ham's beer. My dad owned a vending company, my whole childhood. That's where the Copino fortune came from, SNH vending. And so when you go to work with him, that lyric was about you?

Yeah. I used to ride with a vending machine repairman. You used to ride with a vending machine repairman. That's how you got all those name brand pants. So my dad, yeah, that's how I had all those cabriots growing up. Was your dad the guy where I pressed you who and I was like, yeah, and chocolate cow came out. Sometimes, yeah, he would have mislead you. I told Coca-Cola and like RC would come out. Yeah, yeah, you get like a RC Cola. But my dad would have all his inventory in the back of the van. Where do you think I was sitting in those vans? I was farting all over those cans. And meanwhile, you know, you're drinking out of them. And not only that, you're getting these from warehouses where mice and they're doing things on these cans, these cans are dirty. So you're telling me? Yes. They're telling me there's plenty of people in Jersey that were lucky enough to have a Kavino Farkins. Yeah. Or you're stepping all over these cans, right, just because they're there and they're stocked up. And what do you think people are doing with them? You got to wipe them down. They're in warehouses. They're at the supermarket. People are sweating on them. Wait a second. Stacking them up. So if you get a soda can out of a machine or anywhere, do you wipe down the top where you

will drink out of? I never do it. Because I imagine me farting on them. Ripping on it. That was a little kid. That fart's long gone. And now this guy has pink guy because the guy in the Duke medical staff thought this was the right thing to do. Sam, if you go to the machine here or Ralph's or the liquor store or the next, where do you think those cans came from? A factor. I don't think the wipe off the top. But they could have ridders all over. My mom taught me that when we were really little, always wipe off the top of the chain. You'll watch this. Get an napkin next time and do a little, you'll see it's dirty, guaranteed. So I think it's a weird little budget sort of move. It happens. You improvise. If you're at home, you do this. That's fine. You're talking to Duke medical staff. That was their go-to. And is it the biggest deal in the world? No, but a guy that's thinking of some of the other lowest budget things you've ever seen. How about this? Michael runs this place. Said he had a friendly Mitch growing up, right? Who? My friend Mitch. And who? Mitch. Mike, who runs this place? You know, Mitch. He goes, how about that guy?

He was that guy and we all know this guy or a version of the guy. He had a Dodge Neon. He goes, you remember the Dodge Neons? I was like, yeah, that's a girl car. And I know that's the sexist thing to say. What was it? What? It was a sunfire and so was the Cabralade. These are girl cars, right? You have a Jetta? You're a girl. Yeah. The Neon was a girl car. Was it not? The VW Bug when they first came out with the new ones, girl cars. So the Neon, he goes, my buddy, the Neon. Imagine you were at a butt, did you, if a guy had a, remember a probe? Girl car. Yeah. So he goes, his buddy had a Neon probe and he had, he had a probe. He had it all souped up with a spoiler, oversized spoiler, and spinners, spinner lives on it. I'm like, yo, you can't polish a turd like that. That's some low budget S because that basically says, I can't afford the dope car I really want. So I'm going to really try to hook up this weak ass car. Everybody knows that. Like you could smell that a while, mile away. That's some low budget stuff. So other low budget moves.

What a live a question. What are, what are, you can't trick out a Neon. Like just in your day to day life, what are some low budget generic things that you're okay with? Have you ever tried to buy some generic stuff and you're like, ah, what did I do? Like some cereals you can't buy the generic low budget version. I think you could tell. You could tell with all of them. Well, they say it's just different packaging, so they say, no, like if you, let's say you like, let's say a little coo, like cocoa pebbles, you can't buy, like the bag of cocoa pebbles. That's like the, you know, the store brand, it's different. You asked, you asked, you know, and I about chips before the show, but you know, I guess I'm so, I'm so confused. I actually looked this up, Danny. So it's so funny. I chatchy-b-t this a minute ago. I was like, what are the different types because I feel like you have to have brand name tortilla chips. I don't like those generic bagged ones. The generic chips, but also so much so there's white corn chips. There's like restaurant style, there's, there's all these different types of chips.

And I said, when you go to a party, do you have a chip choice because there's so many, like, do you notice if someone has to see those or brand name versus like, one of those ones like the Cali. These doodles. I prefer freedom. Like it's like the Caliente's and they're like $1.99 for big bag. Do you notice that? You can. You know why? Because a lot of these chip, cheap tortilla chips, they, they crack and they don't even stand. And it gets them all faster. So they do, they do matter. So some low budget things will take your phone calls now, eight, seven, seven, ninety nine. Fox and DDG. You had a Derek car story. Yeah. Just recently, he cleared up something that people had been wondering for years. It was Christmas Eve, 2016, Derek car was legit MVP candidate. Believe it or not. If you remember that, the Raiders were 12 and three. It was the last home game of the year. And that's the, it's broke. It's broke. It's broke. It's broke. It broke. It broke. It broke. It broke. It broke. It broke. It broke. Cause he shouldn't have been dropping back to pass.

The Raiders had a commanding lead over the cults in that game. Should have been running the ball, right? End of the game. So they get them on the cart, but they put them in the front seat of the cart. So they're driving him to the tunnel and he's sitting in the front seat, sitting upright upright in this cart. Everybody's like, but if there's a serious injury, why is he not laying down in the back of the car solo budget and week? Right. So the reason he said they did that is because the cart didn't have enough juice. To make it uphill to the tunnel. We. Yeah. That's how bad he said. The Oakland called CM4 was uneven, shocker, and that they didn't have battery juice in that cart to get him up the hill and they were scared he was going to fall out the back of it. I got some low budget stuff. Did this something I want to call you out on me? Well, you know what I do? I refuse. I want to pair socks away until there's a full on hole in it. So I got a lot of screen door socks, which basically you could see through them. Like the bottoms are so worn out that you could see the meshy. I think it's kind of sexy. Yeah. Screen door style.

But I so low budget because my girlfriend like to say, it's kind of sexy. It's going to be because they're see through, right? Yeah. Yeah. I can tell your girlfriend's like, oh my god, it's wearing a see through socks. Big radio star with those weak ass socks, solo, but just get new socks. And if I do get it, let's say they're a newer parent, I do rip a hole, gets a snag on the, what's it called? Right in the doorway? A little threshold. Yeah. Yeah. Like all of a sudden, I become a little, I start so, can we know the seamstress? That's the way I put my sewing skills to use just to say it's just full of a barrier. I'm like, it's a gold toe. I got to make this one last. Um, so it's really a low budget mindset. I'm calling you out. This is something that like, I feel like you still do it once in a while and it's embarrassing for a guy that does well for a guy known for 20 years. Right. For a guy that spends money on whatever he wants, you pick and choose, like we all do, right? You make fun of me or things that I'm bootleg on. Yeah. Kovino, since I've known him, it's got a problem.

Oh, no. When it comes to charging his phone, he won't buy like a nice charger at the Apple store anywhere for like, you know, 40 bucks, and it lasts you forever. Kovino buys like 10. I'm like a bodega style. Like I'll take that charger for $3. He'll buy like the $8 gas station charger that hardly works and he has to fiddle with his phone. Oh my, dude, just buy a real charger, but he, he's probably, he's probably purchased $25, $8 chargers. Hello, budget that. Yeah. Instead of one quality charger, low budget moves, the most low budget moves you've ever seen. Let's take two quick phone calls now, eight, seven, seven, ninety nine on Fox. Who do we got? The NEJ? Let's start with Steve and Pennsylvania. Steve. That's a cool name. And her just coming back. What's up, Ed? What's going on, gentlemen? I, uh, so my story is, uh, real quick, I have a family event every black Friday where we do a competition. So our competition, uh, in the, uh, 2013, my dad decided to rent an ice hockey ring. And we were at the family going to play ice hockey. So we're on the, we're on the ice. We're warming up.

None of us can skate and all of a sudden, my uncle comes flying into me, uh, takes me out. I'm not even looking his direction. And I'm bleeding on the ice like blades of steel, uh, cracked over my head and ice skating rink who rented out the rink to a family has no first aid kit. So my wife immediately is like, we gotta do something. I mean, we see his brains. We gotta, we gotta put something on it. So baby diaper. The diaper on your head. It works. It works. Until I got to the hospital and, uh, it actually worked great. Wow. And he's here to talk about it. Yeah. Yeah. And you got a diaper on your head. So you got a diaper on your head. Crazy Arizona Sam. I got you. All right. Let's go. Yeah. Let's go to Texas. Thomas is in the house. Hey, Thomas. So what's up? Hey, yeah. Hey, there's one time our, uh, we were in a playoff basketball game. Our stud guard got ill-bodened nose was bleeding, uh, they actually went to the, uh, girls

dressing room. Got a tampon and cut a couple of pieces of the tampon off and stuck in the nose. That's been done. That's scrappy. Yeah. That's resourceful resourceful. And there's a whole side story. I don't know if there's truth to this, but Yankee Stadium is putting because of sponsorships, tampons and all of the bathrooms and men's bathrooms. And they're, they're for seeing this to be a problem in the future. Yeah. It's not going to end well. Like when John Carlo goes through a slump, I was going to throw tampons on. Yeah. They're all going to be like on the field. It's going to be like water balloons. Exactly. So the minute they start slumping, we're going to hear about this story. Ready for a different take on Formula One? Look no further than no grip, a new podcast tackling the culture of motor racing's most coveted series. Join me, Lily Herman, as we dive into the under-explored pockets of F1, including the astrology of the current grid. Louis Hamilton, crappy corn, sun, cancer moon. Wouldn't you know it? Michael Schumacher is also a Capricorn sun, cancer moon. The story of the sport's most consequential driver's strike.

We have one man who upon hearing that he was going to be fired, freaked out and apparently climbed out the window of the bathroom. And was Daniel Riccardo's illustrious F1 career a success story, a cautionary tale, or some combination of both? He started getting all this attention, and he may be started to think, I'm bigger than this. I'm better. And plenty of other mishaps, scandals, and sagas that have made Formula One a delightful, decadent, dumpster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to no grip on the iHeart Radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm John Green. You may know me as the author of the Faulkner Stars, and now I guess also is the co-host of The Away End, a brand new world soccer podcast. On our new podcast The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2026 World Cup.

For us, soccer, football is a story we've shared for over 30 years, since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team, very debatable, and I was their most loyal and sometimes only fan. I love this game. I love its history, its hope, its heartbreak, and above all its beauty. Together we'll find out why of all the unimportant things football, soccer, is the most important. Listen to The Away End with Daniel Alargon and John Green on the iHeart Radio App, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, Ernest, what's up? Now, a redacted amount of years later, we're still joined at the hip, just a little bit bigger hips, wider. This is the podcast where we're recording it as we tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey, with all the snacks and drinks, side bark. Why? Did you get hard-seltzer instead of beer? What they had a bogey? Well, then you got it. Do you want a white collar or something here? Just a kid. What are y'all doing? Microphones? Are you making a rap album? I wish. I would buy it. I would buy it.

Cuts through the deep holes like a hot knife through sponge cake. That sounds delicious. Oh, you're lucky. I'm not a drug addict. You're lucky. You're lucky. You're lucky. I'm not a killer. I love this team and I'm really trying to be a figure in their lives that they can rely on. Oh. Oh. Listen to soccer moms on the iHeartRadio app Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. What's the vibe of that when it's like your star player is like, well, I want to leave. And then actually now I'm going to stick. We talk tanking. I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer, but I think it's like definitely happening in the WBA. And yeah, we talked about our mistakes, too.

They pulled me to their side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night, man. You can't be wrong around the city like this tonight for games, no, you know, doing this, doing whatever. And of course, family stories. And we're like, mommy, why did you miss that? I'm, do you play basketball? Check out Game Recognized Game with Stuy and Miles on the I Heart Radio app, Apple podcast or wherever you get your podcasts. Did the world just glitch or did Rich mess up from the warehouse to the front office, express devs, all jobs, visit express pros like that. Glitch on Fox Sports Radio. You know what it was to glitch in the matrix. I don't have the black hand at us. I have coffee. Kavino's convinced me. He's like, yeah, dude, have half of this monster energy drink. And you think a guy like me should have a monster energy drink. There's where it's can't come out fast enough. Well, we ready for our game, Danny G. Yeah, I think we have one more sponsor to think. Oh, I think it's fresh. Oh, you did. Okay.

Yeah, that's what I bumbled through you through me, obviously. Let's do this. I will say a minute. You have five seconds to battle for your sports trivia life. Put your electronic devices down and pick your sports knowledge. It's C and R's last one standing last one standing. I was thinking we should thank them again, Rich, because you stumbled through it. I didn't even notice for them. But I express employment pros. Thank you, expressprose.com. Bringing you this game and I do have four categories ready to go. A tie breaker. If needed, each contestant gets five seconds to stay alive in the round. If you run out of time or answer incorrectly, I will say I'm takes you out with his big bad buzzer. When I was saying it takes me out, do we go back to his house to watch Netflix with commercial? If you're lucky, we keep battling. We keep battling until you are the last one standing. The first one through today, Evan in Los Angeles. What's up, Pete? Evan, what's up, brother? Hey, I was going, guys. I love the show. Can't wait to compete. Hey, Evan, thank you, man. Let's do this. Yeah, Rich off the air, by the way, Evan got a sneak peek of the new paradise episode. He says it's mind blowing. Is it mind blowing? Do we find, can I ask you a question? Do we find out anything about Alex? Oh, it's all you'll, you'll find about Alex and it's that's up the next season for something even crazy. I can't wait. Tonight. Okay. All right. All right. You're going to blow your mind in, in for spot, by the way, Shay is our factor during the game. What up, Shay? Be patient with him as he checks answers. All right. When I say your name, the clock is going to start first category. Let's get into baseball season here. Bombs over decades. You have five seconds to name an MLB player who is top 30 all time

in most career home runs. Top 30 home run leaders. All right. And I'm sure we'll get the obvious answers out of the way. First here, Kovino, you are a first starting right now. Go hammer and Hank. Duh. Yep. He's in there. 755. Rich. Barry bonds. Barry bonds number one. Seven hundred sixty two. Fire. Babe Ruth. Babe Ruth is on there. Number three seven hundred fourteen. Evan. A ride. How's our biggest? Yeah, he's on here. Number five six ninety six back to Kovino. All time. Let's do Albert pool holes. Number four number seventy oh three. Rich. Ken Griffey Jr. Yep. How many? How many home runs? I'm going. I'm going to I'm going to six thirty. It's number seven. All right, fire. Willie Mays. Willie Mays is on here. I'm going to go down to it. Number six six sixty. Evan. Jim told me.

Jim told me. Tom is on here. Number eight six twelve. He'll barn door. What's his name? Man. Uh, Kovino. Let's do. He took actually a hat. That was my next answer. I'm like delaying to it. What's it? Who did he say? He said Mike Schmidt. Mike Schmidt is on here. Yes, he is. He is five forty eight. Number sixteen. Rich. Mark McWire. Mark McWire is on here. Number eleven five eighty three. Boom buyer. Sammy Sosa. Sammy Sosa is on here. Number nine six oh nine. Evan. Um Morgan. Joe Morgan. Joe Morgan is not on here. Sorry, brother. Kovino. Um three Mickey Manel. Mickey Manel is on here. Number eighteen with five hundred and thirty six. Rich. Uh, Gary Sheffield. Gary Sheffield is on here. Number twenty seven with five oh nine. Buyer. Harmon Killabru. Harmon Killabru is on here.

Number twelve with five hundred seventy three. Nice pull back to Kovino. Three two greenberg. Hank Greenberg. Hank Greenberg is a nod on here. I don't have an old name. Hey, think of it. I've never seen those black and white home run derby's rich. Um three big poppy David Ortiz. Yes, number seventeen with five hundred and forty one. Dang. Buy one. That's not quite what about Reggie Jackson. Reggie Jackson is on here. Number fourteen with five hundred sixty three. Back to rich. Thank you, legend. Oakland A legend. Oakland A. Um three. Andre Dawson. Andre Dawson. Is he in the top thirty? Dawson. No. Buyer wins that right. He is son of a honestly.

I had one. Can I throw it out there? Yeah, I go for it. No, because I forgot it mid thought. The big hurt. Because he's five hundred. Is he not in there? Is he not? Frank Thomas. Okay, we're good. I'm going to give it some of the other names we know. Frank Thomas is on here with twenty one. Oh, five hundred and twenty one. That's what I thought. It's too late in there. No, no, no, I know. But I had that was what I was going to say. And I lost it. Oh, me. Mel Ott. Mel Ott. Number eleven. Number twenty six from the Giants. Who else we forget? Raphael Pamerio. Paul Merrill. Raphael Pamerio. He was best known for a Viagra commercial. No jokes. When we were two, I didn't even know who that is. He's high up there though. You know, why? His take performance enhancing drugs. Yeah, because he he was such a great hitter that got in so much trouble because of the PEDs. Because he goes back to our first discussion. He lied about it. Yeah. You know, fun story. The Empire that Kavino's brother was such a little kid. He thought when Raphael Pamerio did the Viagra commercial, he thought Viagra was a drug that made you hit home.

And it kind of was. Yeah. All right. D.B. Oh, but D.B. on the board. Naturally, we go to the second category. Burning a hole. You have five seconds to name an NFL team who still tops the league in available 2026 cap space. Oh, okay. Going to take the top 17 teams. All right. In Evan, we could start in reverse order. So we go with you as soon as the clock starts right now. Evan. Target. Chargers, he says. Chargers are on here. Number three with a cast base of 48,769,074. Why? The Jets. The Jets are on here. Number five. 39,500,000. Change. Rich. Raiders. Raiders are on here. Number 15. 23,000,000,000. I think it's Saints. Saints. No, no, no, go. Wow. All right. Back to Evan. We titan. Titans are number one. So three million in chain.

Oh, no. All right, buyer. What about the Browns? The Browns are unfortunately in hunt on here. Wow. Oh, I win. I haven't. Evan's still playing. I go. Yeah, Rick. Cardinals. The Cardinals are on here. Number four. All right. Back to Evan. Fucking here. Jump of eight bucks. The bucks are not on here. Oh, this is rich. Rich wins that round. There we go. Rich, what's some of the other teams they didn't name? So coming in at number 16, you got the bangles with 22 million in their cap space. Number three was the chargers. One was the Titans. And the number two, which you guys didn't get, the commanders got $49,635,067 in cap space. Packers at the bottom of that list at 17. Yes. All right, we go to the third category. So far on the board. Rich and buyer. All right, try to break the tie here. The under 30 crowd. You have five seconds to name an NBA team

who has less than 30 victories this season. There's 10 answers on the board. NBA team under 30 victories. Because you know, we start with you right now. Go. No. Three, two, one. Sixers. No. Rich. The Bulls. The Bulls, yes. 29 and 45. Nice bull. Buyer. The nets. The nets are 18 and 57. Yes. Evan. Winter. The Washington, Wizard. The Wizards? Yes. They're 17 and 57, my guess. I said the Bill Withers. I thought, yeah, I thought he said the latest. No. So in chat, if you want the nets. Dickie Davis. The Hornets? The Hornets are good, actually, not. Yeah, they came back rich for the tournament. We are in Evan. DB. Pelicans. The Pelicans are on there. 25 and 51. Evan. Sacramento. Sacramento Kings are on there, 1957.

Back to DB. Sacramento. Really bad. Pacers. Pacers are on there. The worst. 17 and 58. They need Haliburton. Back to Evan. Three. One. Two. Two. Five. Two. Two. No. Two. No. No. Houston is not in. Buyer wins that round. Any wins the game. Wow. His DB's 42nd win. You know, I looked it up. By the way, Congrats, Buyer. Boo. It's a rainy. The game like like beat the buyer or something. I know. That's by your standing. That's black out. Evan, Evan, we appreciate you. Thank you for listening in LA. Thank you so much, guys. Guys, amazing. Dan to go. Thank you both. That's out of it. That's a mix of fun. You got to beat the man. You got to beat the Dan to be the man. Now, I don't know if this story has 100% accuracy. Yes, rumors. There's no like official confirmation. Is there Danny?

No, this is social media rumors right now. But I think if you're a superstar, here's my thinking. If you're a superstar, and you go out publicly with somebody, somebody who is also publicly known, I think that says a lot. Because there's ways to be discrete if you're a superstar and have superstar money. The story is, Luca is official with Sophie Rain. Now, unless it depends on your level of pervertedness, or knowledge, or knowledge, or know how. Who's Sophie Rain you say? Well, to be honest, I'm not into her where I would look up her content, but we should all know that she's the girl that claims and has shown the receipts on social media that she has made upwards of a hundred million dollars on OnlyFans. That's who she is. And donates a lot of the money. 100 plus also a devout Christian. She's known as the devout Christian. That's on OnlyFans that made over a hundred million dollars. And isn't, I mean, I don't know this for a fact,

but isn't she like, not terribly raunchy on our OnlyFans? Like, it's not what you think or something. Maybe that's the loophole she's playing by. I don't know. I don't subscribe like you. I've never subscribed to someone's OnlyFans. Why would anyone pay when you get everything for free? So Luca's 27, you know that. She's 21. But again, 100 million. She makes more like, showing the cheeks than he does playing professional basketball. I know, that's crazy. So the story is, again, power couple. If she's, if they're going out publicly, yeah, that's, that's about as official as I need it to be, right? And, and he is, he is single now, right? Like, yeah, he's going through divorce, whatever. If he's taking her out, I'm not saying that it's written in the stars and they're official, but it's official enough, right? That he's not, he split with his fiance. Yeah, yeah. I'll see. Is that is, is he now? Now, I'm not talking about just a little hookup. If they did come out as like, they're dating, would he be the first like mega star to be with in only fans influencer? Probably not.

I'm not talking about a pop girl or some actress or, like, social media, reality star. But I'm talking about, would he be the first mega star athlete to be dating in only fans? I don't know. And one of maybe he's, I mean, but a lot of these high profile NBA dudes and athletes, they date some, they know she was supposedly hanging out, Damien Lillard during all star break. Yeah, I'm not saying she's sketchy. I'm just saying, I'm just saying, I'm just saying Camino, there's one thing between like, oh, you know, she hooked up with that NBA guy. I'm talking if, if Luke and her came out and let's just say that the story is like, oh, they're dating. I think that sort of sending a message at this younger generation doesn't care even a little. Well, that's really the question. Like, there's a stigma depending on how old you are, right? On how this would fly. Would you date someone that did this? The younger you are, the more likely you are to deal with that. I remember when you and I were younger dudes in our 20s, the question was always like, yeah, yeah, when you dated a girl that was in playboy or showed her boobs

or something like that or a stripper or whatever. I think the modern day version for, if you got 20-year-old kids or like younger nieces and nephews or, you know, younger siblings. But it's such a matter of fact, yes, for a lot of young people. And I think this just proves it. But it poses the question for you older heads out there. Could you, do you think it could date someone that had an only fans page? How do you feel about your kids dating someone with an only fans page? I have a question. If someone you work with, if you got win that they had an only fans page, would you, would you look at it? That would require you to subscribe, right? So I'd have to say no, because I'm not doing that. Curiosity might get the best of you though. I don't know. I don't think about it. I might be that guy. We'll find out he's sitting tonight, right? He's probably just getting some booty. All right, we'll see you guys tomorrow. I'll be right there, she may be. See you in the promised way. Bye. Bye, guys. Ready for a different take on Formula One?
