We're watching or listening to this round world as always. Thank you very much for joining me here on the channel, the home, of course. The Premier League champions who yesterday made it three wins from three. Four versus four from four if you count the community shield, but three from three in the Premier League, nine points from nine coming from behind

2:01to be Chelsea. And what in my view was a fantastic, fantastic game of football. Really enjoyed that. Yes, obviously it helps. We won it. We came from behind to win it. But I thought it was a real high quality game. And I left that stadium and think him, we've just seen a very, very special match early on the season, which sometimes you don't get at the early stages of the season, but I thought both teams. And fair play to Chelsea. I thought they played their part as well. We would definitely a better team to deserve that win. But I thought Chelsea did play their part. And I certainly left thinking that they are going to be up there. They're about to season as well. So we're going to talk about all of that in today's show. I obviously did my immediate reaction from the from the Emirates. Outside the Emirates last night, I'll go over that a little bit more. Look at things more in depth. Going to talk about Martin Odo. What's the performance from the captain yesterday to talk about him? My player ratings have made a couple of tweaks to the player ratings. I did come back and watch the game again last night. And yeah, certainly. I mean, it was so fast in that game yesterday. Honestly, I knew that there was a lot of stuff that I would have missed that I needed to watch again just to sort of get my head around some of the individual performances on the show on show.

3:02And yeah, so I made a few tweaks to my player ratings. You guys have been sending in your thoughts and views as well. So I'm going to share all of those. You also find my match Dave Vlog on there from yesterday's game. Right, let's get started, shall we? Just a really good game. I loved it. I really, really loved it. Again, it always helps when you're win. Probably wouldn't have felt that way if I come out and we'd been on the wrong side at a result. But I thought it was a real top quality, high quality game. I was watching actually having watched the game again last night. I watched the match today coverage this morning. And there was a moment on it on the commentary. I think it was about 20 minutes when Col Palmer, Chelsea were wanting to laugh at that point. And Col Palmer slipped that really top quality ball towards Jal Pedro, at the back post and Jal Pedro just couldn't quite get there.

4:03And the commentary was like, it's just quality all over the pitch. And it's exactly what how I felt. I just always do really good teams. Going at it, obviously Chelsea had a fantastic, fantastic start with of course Morgan Rogers scoring. And I think we all expected that was probably going to happen. I'm not sure any of us thought it was going to happen after about a minute. But it did, which gave them a perfect start. Obviously they came into the game full of momentum after the way they'd started. The season, it gave them a real lift. And I thought it was quite interesting from an ask-and-a-talk point of view. When something like that happens, it's like, okay, you're losing. You're losing into a team who fancy themselves this season. How are you going to react? You're going to react like champions or is there a, you know, you're going to go into your shell a little bit. And I thought the way that Arsenal responded was really, really positive. Played some really good football in that first half. Obviously I had the goal disallow for Califurie. When Conzo was offside, there was other opportunities. He's might as safe and from Sacker. It was actually a really good save from might as to tonight. I think it was Gabrielle in the build up to the Califurie.

5:04Gold was disallowed. Obviously if might has hadn't made that saving it. Got him from Gabrielle, that would have counted. So Arsenal was sort of knocking on the door, knocking on the door. They were playing really, really good football. I thought Oedogard was really bright early on. I thought Solis over on the left was really good. And then E. Clariser came. And of course, because I have it, it's got it. It's going to be love scoring against Chelsea. Absolutely love see. I think mine is probably should have done better. I thought Raya maybe could have done better with Morgan Rodgers. I think he was a little bit flat-footed. Raya maybe had taken a sort of one step to the wrong side, just as Rodgers was hitting. Normally, I think Rodgers takes that shot. I didn't need to struck it particularly well. And it wasn't right in the corner. I think sort of eight times out of ten, David Raya saves that. But he didn't on that occasion. It was similar for Martin Oedogard's. He's got, I think he'll be disappointed. He didn't push that round the post. It was really good from Havir. It's obviously drifting him from the right hand side. On his left foot, found the bottom corner. He shot went through the legs of the defender, which always helps. But I still think mine is probably a little bit disappointed that he didn't turn that round the post. So it was one one, at half time.

6:04And then I just saw the way I asked him to start the second half. I think I said to my dad at half time, we played really well in that first half. But we didn't go in level. I wondered how we're going to come out in the second half. Are they going to be a bit frustrated? They're not, they've pushed so hard in that first half. And I'm winning. But the way we started it on the front foot again, I thought it was just really, really impressive. There was a real intensity to ask, what a real desire to ask. Which again, I think is real, real positive at the moment. Because that was sort of one question mark we had over, maybe had over the team after pushing so hard last season, and getting over the line and winning the title finally, was there going to be that sort of hangover type feel to this season of like, can we get ourselves up to go again, especially after the World Cup and all of that. But I think what we've seen in the early stages of the season, we saw in the community shield against Man City, and we've seen it in the early stages of this season. Even the way we sort of ground out the winner at Villa Park, has been a team that is still full of hunger and full of desire.

7:06And I thought they really showed that in the way they turn this round and the way they started the second half. It was an absolute equality goal, top, top quality goal. From Arsenal, brilliant move, you know, started inside our in half when when Conzer wrestled Morgan Rogers to the floor. I know there's a lot of Chelsea fans crying about that. Never a foul in my opinion. And then they just broke really well, Solis inside brilliant from Havards. He was, yes, he was an absolute master class of a number nine performance from, from, can I have it? So I thought yesterday, fantastic dummy, and there was Ode to God, to score lovely run from him. Just carbon copy really, the run that he made for the community shield goal against Manchester City. Very different finish, obviously sat down and roomed down in the community shield, didn't do that to Martin Es. Just really put his foot through it, which is good to see. And it's three goals in four now. And we're going to talk about Ode to God in a minute. But I loved the way he got into the box, and he struck that and scored to go with. Yeah, I thought Arsenal thoroughly deserved it. They could have scored more, had a couple of opportunities. After that, Sacka falls to good save from Martin Es. Obviously, there's a couple of moments from set pieces that easily could have found its way into the net.

8:07But we did have to rely on good old David Wright to make that fantastic, fantastic save from Estavalle at the end, and a really nice moment actually when the two of them, after the full-time whistle and Ryan goes over sort of shakes his head at Estavalle. I was like, wow, that was close. And that would have been an absolute, absolute gut punch for Arsenal, if Estavalle put that in top corner right in the, last minute, but it was a big win. A really big win. Obviously, it's very early stages in the season, and there's a long, long way to go. But those sort of wins are only going to help, I think, at this stage, just to sort of fuel the momentum that Arsenal have got. And the way they've started the season, I know the Villa game, there's some people looking at it. I know I wasn't very good performance, all that sort of stuff. It's a difficult away game. You look at the four games they've played in sort of competitive football this season. I thought they were brilliant in the community, with absolutely steamroll of Manchester City. I thought they were great against Coventry on the opening night. Very different way to win against Estavalle Villa, but you need to win that way away from home at times against a decent team. And they did that. And then yesterday as well, coming from behind,

9:07beating a very good Chelsea team, I thought it was really good. And I think the whole start of season has been very positive. And you look at the sort of numbers behind the win yesterday. And that's a really, against a good Chelsea team. And the Chelsea team that, you know, this attack that everyone's been talking about. And to sort of limit them to that 0.35 XG. You know, to serve an awful lot of praise. I think yes, they had 13 shots. Just three less than Arsenal did, but you sort of compare the quality of the chances that were created by the two teams. It's absolutely sure can choose. You know, Chelsea just couldn't get through that midfield and that defensive Arsenal. The forward line that they've got just really, really struggled to create these opportunities on David Ruyer's goal, while at the other end Arsenal created a fair bit, you know, an XG of over two. For them. And yeah, nine shots on target. Just five Chelsea 55% possession. So the really good win for Arsenal. Understandably, Michele was a very, very happy man. After the games, I thought it was an exceptional performance. I enjoyed every minute from the beginning to the end.

10:08The beginning was tough, but I enjoyed it because the team reacted in a spectacular way. The conviction, determination, quality and intent. We showed to help them constantly. It was beautiful. It was a fascinating game, I think, for the spectator as well. And I think we deserve to win, which I'm really pleased with, obviously. Yeah, he's worth fascinated there in terms of the game. And I think it was, you know, I don't think anyone, there's all that talk about Arsenal boring, don't like watching Arsenal from, from sort of neutral observers there and, and haisers and all that. I don't think anyone can watch that game and think that wasn't a really good game to watch because it absolutely was. And Michele was also asking, I want to eat Cape Love then this season. He says, I think it's an indication for us that we're capable of performing even higher than we did last season. It depends on whether we maintain that desire, that humility and continue every day to find a greater version of myself and the team. We still have a lot to grow, a lot to offer, and that's the ambition of the team. I mean, he says that with Cape Love performing even higher. It's not rocket science. So is it? We've got our attacking players fit. Healthly and touch with, touch with it stays that way.

11:11But it isn't, as I said, it's just not rocket science. When you're best attackers of fit, we say just weren't last season. They just would not feel miss so many important players for last season. Honestly, we don't get enough praise for winning the title. The way we did last season, the way we somehow found a way to win, despite all of the injuries that we suffered to such important players, really big long-term injuries. And we still managed to find a way to win that title last season. And fingers crossed we can keep them fit because when we can keep them fit, we can see this type of performance because it's just the technical level on display of that performance. Yes, say, when you watch that back and you watch the movement, the rotations, the triangles, how fluid the attack was. It's so impressive. And it's such a high technical level. And when you're missing those players, and with all due respect to the other players, you then come in for the player, for the name, stars of the attack when they're missing. It's just not at the same level. And I thought they were great, yes, they're led by the captain

12:11who has just started the season in such an exciting way, the way that might know the guards playing. You know, you look at the numbers behind yesterday, 16 long breaking passes, six passes into the final third, created four chances, two big chances were created from him. A goal, you know, it's just, it was an exceptional performance from a player playing at the top of his game right now. Last season was, it was a sort of shadow of mine, Ode to Guard that we saw last season. Ode to Guard who, when he was on the pitch, was never really fit. The three real big injuries that he had, really unfortunate injuries as well, just limited him so, so much. But now he looks freer, he looks fit, he looks fresh, moving across the pitch, well, he's smiling, you can tell he's enjoying himself last season was a difficult season, I think for him. I don't think there was much enjoyment there. There was enjoyment at the end when he got his hands on that trophy and lifted it. But in terms of playing football and everything like that, I think it was a struggle for him. He didn't have that partnership available with, with Kai Havatson, but Kai Sakka very often,

13:12which is obviously such an important one for Arsenal, like incredibly, incredibly, important. I saw, I was talking to Simon Collins, and he asked today, he was like, how many games do you think Kai and Martin started to get the last season? Three in the Premier League. Those two, Martin Ode to Guard Kai Havats, with that understanding that they have, that only started three games together in the Premier League all of last season. The first one of those was in April as well. I mean, yeah, he gets just, you can tell, you've got your best players available in attack who know how each other play. The level just absolutely goes up. And we saw that yesterday. I thought he was absolutely great. But Michele was asked about Ode to Guard after the games, and you know, how is he, why is he playing at such a high level now compared to maybe last season? And he said, first of all, he feels fit and confidence wise, it's the highest I've seen him. He has a point to prove from last season as well, from missing so much football. Kai is the same, but Kai is the same. We miss so many attacking players last season for long, long periods. I'm not sure how many games they played together last season,

14:13but probably not many. When you start to feel the chemistry, they have between them and what they can produce, it's great. But for me, he gets to the point because he's enjoying his football. You have to enjoy what you do to play every real intent. And that's what I saw. He was running forward. He took shots, created so many situations for the teammates. He was great. And also, in terms of what you mean by, he's got a point to prove. He says the point to prove is everything. First of all, because he demands so much for himself, he wants to be the best, perfect at everything. He's so efficient in other things as well. And he's playing with real joy. He was phenomenal. And he absolutely was phenomenal. He's definitely my man in a match. There was quite a few choices to be man in a match, to be fair. And I'll get to my play ratings in a second. Good performances, good individual performances, all over the pitch. Some of which came more and more apparent when I sort of watched the game back. Last night when I got home, but I thought Ode to God was, he was just, he was the best player on the pitch. He absolutely was. Fingers crossed, he can stay injury free, because if he does ask or just a better team, there's absolutely no doubt about that. There's a league table. If you're watching on YouTube,

15:14it's got a familiar look to it already, hasn't it Manchester City and Arsenal at the top level on points, Citi, head by virtue of goals scored at the moment. Same point, same goal difference, same games played. We're getting used to that sort of table, aren't we, Arsenal, Manchester, at the top once again, but still a really good start from both teams. The both two, you know, main title contenders, I imagine, in both people's eyes, start the season very, very well. Right, here are my player ratings, and like I said, I have tweets. I can't actually remember exactly what I gave. I think I gave all four of the back four. In my immediate reaction yesterday from outside the ground, I gave all four of them a seven. I've changed that now. So if David Righetson ate, I thought Righ was really good. Again, maybe, maybe he could have done better for the first go. I think it was one of those when you keep the weight was on the wrong foot, and he just couldn't readjust himself across in time. But I thought, aside from that, I thought he was really, really good. I thought he was excellent. In the second half, if he got stronger and stronger, and stronger, the balls were coming into the box. He was claiming him. His distribution was good. The save from Esteveau obviously, insured Arsenal goals three points. So a good performance from him, gave him eight. I gave white a seven. I gave concert, and eight. I thought, concert, I'm second viewing.

17:18I knew he played well, but I thought he played very well on second viewing. And the side in tackle in the second half on Morgan Rogers was one of the highlights in the game. The noise inside the stadium. When he did that, it was like we'd just scored. It was a proper... It was a proper English football moment. That just to defend that with a perfect, perfect slide in tackle. Did a nice attacker. I thought it was brilliant. And I thought he was really good on the ball as well. Yesterday, he concerted. So I gave him an eight, Gabrielle, seven. Califury, I gave him eight. I think I gave him a seven. And on second viewing, I have now idea how I only gave him a seven. I gave him an eight. He was just... I mean, he started the season so well. And again, you sort of go back to Arsenal playing better football in an attacking sense. When Califury is on the pitch, they just do. And they did that. Arsenal in the first half of last season were pretty good in an attacking sense. Soon as Califury's injury started to hit around the December time, and then it all started to change. And this is no disrespect towards him. Capier, he was a very good defender. It asked him just weren't the same from an attacking point of view in that second half of the season, when Califury was in and out of the side and couldn't get his fitness to 100%. Because he just gives us so much.

18:19And you could see that. Yesterday, even the second goal was his movement. He dragged basically five Chelsea players away to his side of the pitch, which freed up space for Solis. He's balling to have us. And then he had to finish. I just thought he was excellent. Califury, as he had been all seasons, I gave him an eight. Lewis Gale, I gave him seven. Rice, I thought was really, really good. Gave him an eight. Sakura seven. I know the guard. I put up to a nine. I think I gave him an eight yesterday. I just felt like he needed to be a markerhead of everyone else. Because I just thought he was the best pair on the pitch. So I gave him a nine. Solis, really good from Solis. Again, after a tough night against Asim Villa, I was glad, McHale kept him in the team. I was hoping he was going to do that. And I thought Solis delivered his top top quality performance. He was just did not stop working. He constantly tested that Chelsea team. He got another assist. And I just thought he was great on the left hand side. Really, really good. So I gave him an eight and have us an eight as well. Have us was close to a nine. The only reason probably didn't get a nine. He would be an 8.5 if I gave 0.5. But I just wanted O2 guard to have just be a marker above everyone else. But have us, Assa. That was a top level, top level number nine performance

19:20from kind of have us. Goal really should get the assist for the second goal. Those, it's gone down to Solis, obviously, really should get assist for that second goal. Because it was brilliant from have us. And I thought it was exceptional. Subs who came on, obviously. And Capi came on with Zubendi early on. Well, early on midway for your second half. A pair of those give those two. I thought Zubendi was actually very good in that when he plays. So I'll give both of those to seven. Or maybe I'll give him Capi S6. Zubendi seven. I won't give the other three. A grade there, I think get more than 15 minutes between them. Obviously, Yoko is coming in for quite a bit of stick for his cameo. He didn't go. It didn't go too well for poor Old Vic. A couple of pretty horrendous touches there that a lot of people are drawing spotlight on this morning. But as his first appearance of the season, he's clearly, clearly rusty. But yes, he certainly needs to, he certainly needs to improve on what we saw from him when he came on last night. No doubt about that. So those are my player ratings, Martin Oda Garda with the man of the match.

20:20Right, here's what some of you guys have had to say. Thank you very much. Quite a few of you sent your stuff in. So I wanted to share as many as I possibly can here. So I'm going to rattle through some of these. Start with Simba at the top there. Solis was fantastic. I don't understand the outrage towards him. He was direct. I loved the way it passes. Always on point. Kai Oda Garda brilliant as well. Gunac Live says, Calla was everywhere. Excellent player. Jack says, agree, Charles. The outrage towards Solis is silly. He was superb today. Responding like the way he did after the bill again. Big honies. He says, the next pack is everywhere. Says, we have just a lot of character. I think that showed up today. And was the difference between the two teams. If anyone is criticizing Solis, I don't understand it. I know football's all about opinions and all of that sort of stuff. But if you're criticizing Solis, I think you really need to look at what you're saying and why you're saying it. Because I think the only reason you're saying it is because Arsenal didn't sign a left winger in the end of the transfer window. But because you cannot look at what Solis has done since he signed a fractional and be critical. I just don't know what game you're watching. Again, it's all about opinions. I get that. But I just, I can't understand it.

21:23I just won't be able to understand how you can look at what he's done so far and be critical of him. He can be critical of the decision not to sign another left winger to leave Arsenal, sure. I think we've all accepted that. But I don't see how anyone can look at what certainly did on the pitch yesterday, Solis, and say that he's not good enough. Because that's just, it baffles me. It suggests to me you're sort of, you're saying that through some sort of premeditated idea more to do with the transfer market than the player himself because that was that was a really good performance from Solis. Yesterday, so fair play to him. Good to see lots of you pointing that out. Glonchannel says great game. Really like, really like it was going to be a touch you wanted. It lived up to it. Love the villain role Rodgers played and the humbling delivered to him. Consul was great. Did himself and the badge proud. Sises shut down some of the discussion around him being easy to figure out. I can't remember game that so many different players could have been man of the match seemed to me like a real champions performance from the Arsenal. That perhaps is what was most satisfying about it. Also for as much stick as Arsenal get for a lack of ability to attack. I haven't seen another team in a Premier League. All the world for that matter. Attack I cast what did against Chelsea today. Fluid, fluid football triangles everywhere. Players reading each other's mind over. Lacken runs mesmerizing at times. Neil says we were good today all over the pitch. The safe from right at the end was top draw. Good to see Solis bounce back. Chelsea are going to be pretty decent this season. They are known mugs. Yes, I agree with that. So King Josh says if you can have a look at Solis is a sys map from last season. That cut in and past to the centre box is his bread and butter. As much as I want to give credit to Haberts for Ougos Goal, I think Solis can do that and he's asleep and we'll see that a lot this year. Carvin copied the sys versus city in the charity shield. And then finally from Bobby says Haberts channeling his inner earzle.
