Should March Madness expand past the field of 64?

So I'm feeling about the tournament. Yeah. So there's a lot of talk about expanding the field of 64.

1:03You already have the playing games, right? And there's a lot of talk about adding more teams. Now I just before you tell me whether you're in or out, there's one guy who said, no. And that's coach K Shyshevsky said, quote, there are less teams capable right now than ever before. And there have, uh, there are many have knots and it's not their fault. I don't think you mess with something that's gold. It's gold. Jerry, I think the thing you should mess with is getting a leadership group and having them study and see what happens with that group. Not just one person actually, they should run it like the NBA, a staff and all that run it like a business. I wouldn't mess with gold right now. And the NCAA tournament is certainly that, BG, is it gold? I feel like the rating, I mean, I don't know if I want to expand, but ratings weren't as high last year. I don't think it has seemed to be less interest because we're not familiar with the players

2:06as we used to be. I don't know if it's gold. And it seems just off of memory, like there wasn't as many good games last year. No, there's more disparity than ever. It's really top heavy right now. You got the halves, the kind of have and then it drops off. I kind of hate to agree with Coach K. He's kind of the hate the face for me, but I think I agree with Coach K. What do we say? What do we expand? Like 64 to what? Seven. Yeah, like two. There's a lot of talk about 76 76, so then you're looking at it is the semi-quincent any of you have to like can palm rank. He's got Akron, Grand Canyon, ooh, the run and can make niece. I mean, seven of these six seems like a ton, right? It does. Do we really need that? I mean, is that a whole extra week of the tournament? Right. Well, right. And a lot of people, but see, it's kind of like the perfect length of time. I'm with you. I'm with you. But again, if you're then more revenue, it's TV revenue, right?

3:09It always goes down the TV revenue because we can't get enough games, right? So these games are like inventory. If you guys remember, because we're all around the same age, the idea of the live looking, remember? Yeah. I love the live. All sorts of games would tip off the same kind of time. They did stagger a couple of minutes, but you would go, like, did CBS would show you the live looking? Yeah. But now they all start. I think Ty said he was a live looking. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Right. It's all over and they stagger them so much that you could basically watch almost every game. If you got multiple TVs, I mean, they do stagger it, but still. There's there's times. There's more to. I know you get. Yes. Yeah. The following the balls like the way they do called football, the balls will be on. I remember New Year's day night and Channel 10 would have a ball CBS.

4:15ABC, NBC or Fox, and all the bulkheads, we're going to get to each other and now they go, well, why would we do that? We're going to stack everything and this way, every game is inventory. It's why the NFL goes to Monday, Thursday, Christmas, right? Black Friday. Like all these games are inventory. They just realize that, hey, every one of these games, I can make money on TV. So do you think you got the planes on Monday and Tuesday? You just think we have more more games at Monday and Tuesday? I'll be honest, the playing games on to a ton for me. I feel like I'm forced to watch. So that's like a whole extra week in my mind of just playing quality. So let me ask you this. If they went, if they went to 76, it said it doing a playing game, those teams would just be in. What did you just have teams in and you have a buy for a certain amount of teams? Like those teams, but you Monday and Tuesday, you got eight, 12X, that'd be six games.

5:16So like top four scenes get nice. I mean, if you're going to, if you're going to play it like that, or everybody, you just lengthen it and everybody plays. Yeah, I think that's what you have to do. Lengthen it and everybody plays. You get a buy would buy stuff. Yeah, that room is because then that takes away like the complete, like, you know, underdog. Then you got, then you got like a one playing like a 18 seat, a one. Yeah, I guess me. Yeah, for a, a 22. Would you, let me ask you guys a question. Would you whack up Thursday and Friday and start it Tuesday and do Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, as the first round? I'd rather have it more staggered where there wasn't as much overlap and just get. And then you can watch every game every game and hear you. You've been out with me. I know. I do just two days. It is. It's really history when you got, but he's not Paul when you got, but we can just do that Tuesday. Wednesday, bro. All right. I'm team bro here. You can have the Thursday Friday become the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Yeah.

6:17You're not going to get that with the same amount of games. Well, you know, you're going to be brain or two slightly. I like the insanity about it. Well, do the math, right? Tip off. 64. You got 32 games in two days, right? Yes. Perfect. All right. So now if you added another 12, which is six games, right? Yeah. So now you're at your four goes into 30. You need to make it. I didn't sign up for math. No, you get to make it. You know how to make it 40. What you need to do is it's got to do by fours. Yeah. You should go to 80. And then this way, you would have 12 teams. You could have 10 games a day. The first match is 40 games, 40 games seems like a lot. Yeah. I mean, I mean, I would watch. So you have 10 games Tuesday, 10 games Wednesday, 10 games Thursday, 10 games Friday. VG's liver couldn't handle that. I can't. You can't mess with the two days, man. Yeah. I like

Like if you, everybody's in. So you've got to play. Look, if you imagine if you're the last team, you're the worst team, you can make a run of going to win seven or five, six, seven, seven. You're not doing any games. What's what's also going to be a play all playing game. You're turning around. You got a whole nother season by the time they make it.
