Listen to the Late Round Fantasy Football Podcasts on the iHeart Radio App, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. With Stu Gotz and Hawkman. I'm in live from Napa Valley, California, Stu Gotz. You are traveling the world, my friend, getting that vacation time in. Listen, you are a cagey vet because you know you have to take vacation time right now because you're not getting a day off for the next six months. How about that? Well, I did not work at all from Parks and Utah, but I have done the show yesterday and I'll

be doing it today from Napa Valley because UM and Stanford play on Friday night and I didn't think it would be fair. This is my radio show I'm talking about. Didn't think it would be fair on the flagship radio station for Hurricane's football to take a couple days off when college football is kicking off. So this is interesting because I did our show out in LA once and it was it was magical because we're on three to five every afternoon. But when you're on West Coast time, that three to five becomes 12 to two. And I got to tell you 12 to two felt nice and I'm wondering how 11 to three felt. I got news. I am so into this schedule that I can't like I got off the air at three o'clock yesterday instead of six o'clock. Yes. And I felt like I had gained a week. Like I just didn't know what to do. Right. Right. Yes. Now I'm not moving to

California. Right. But although they do have the lottery, Utah doesn't. I was jonesing for 10 days for a fucking lottery ticket. Right. But is that the first thing you did upon getting to California? Just first thing I did. In fact, my wife and I almost took a drive to Idaho because I was asking one of the convenience stores in Salt Lake City in Park City. And like, where can I get a lottery ticket? And they said Idaho. And I said, well, how far? Yes. About an hour and a half. I got in the car. I looked at Lori and I said, what do you think about the quick hour and a half hop to Idaho? I've made a long drive for cannabis. I bet that. But yeah, first thing, no joke within the first two hours of arriving in California. I had stopped at a convenience store and I got lottery tickets. That issue. But I wouldn't move out here. But I am giving serious thought next summer to spending the entire summer in Park City, Utah.

That's how much I liked it. And I said to Lori, like the only issue I'll have to overcome is lottery tickets. And Jesus one thing, two months is another. Right. She was like, is that really an issue that we need to overcome? Isn't that a good thing that you can't buy lottery tickets for two months? Does she not know her husband? I mean, no, not well enough. All right. Let me, let me read some direct messages that I've received on Instagram from the previous with Stugat and Hockman podcast. And you can always DM me. It's radio Mark Hockman on Instagram. Somebody Joseph DMs me, he says, Hock, I got to tell you during the ZZ Top discussion yesterday. And I don't remember if that was on this show or if it was on my radio show, but the drummer for ZZ Top Frank Beard had passed away. Frank Beard, the only member of ZZ Top who didn't have the beard. Isn't that interesting? Interesting. And his name is Frank Beard.

Interesting. Interesting tidbit. But he passed away a couple of weeks ago. And the guy DMs me, he says, a request for the podcast, Kevin Arnovitz. Now I couldn't find it, but we had remixed. I don't even remember who Kevin Arnovitz was. Did he give us the stock market report every day on the the levitar show? No, that was Kenny Arnold. Who was Kevin Arnovitz? I feel like Kevin Arnovitz is like one of those basketball. Now I say this respectfully, but I think one of those basketball nerds, you know, you're right. Yeah. He was like a Tom Hamistrow before Hamistrow. Right. Is it possible to say that respectfully, calling someone a basketball nerd? No. No. Okay. But we, for whatever reason, we had remixed. I can't find it to ZZ Top. She's got legs. He's Kevin Arnovitz. Yes. And we used to play it when he would come on the air. Couldn't find it. But the second part of this DM is I would also like to request for the podcast. The time Dan

was on a TV panel and all he says is black, black, black, black, black. Thank you. And I appreciate the podcast that do you know what that guy's referring to? Maybe it was, it may have been the sports reporters. I don't know what Dan would say. I don't know what Dan was talking about. I know we edited it, but I have no idea. Yes. So I made a super cut of it. He was on Sean Hannity's show. Oh, that's right. On Fox News. Yeah. And back then it was called Hannity and Coems. Right. Hannity was the conservative. Alan Coems was the liberal. Yeah. And Hannity and Coems were doing a show about Michael Vic going to jail for the dog fighting. Yes. And Dan agreed to go on with Hannity because he had written a column for the Miami Herald about it. And if you remember

what happened was Dan ended up in a TV studio that didn't have a monitor. So he couldn't see Hannity or any of the other guests. And Dan took a flyer that none of the panelists were black. That no one discussing Michael Vic and the culture of dog fighting the way Mike Vic was presenting it that no one understood the culture that Mike Vic was talking about because none on the panel were black. Now Dan didn't know if anyone on the panel was black or not, but he was taking an educated guess knowing Hannity's track record. Yes. He had no idea that former Bears quarterback Jim Miller was also on the panel. How do you remember that? That's an amazing poll. And there was an Atlanta radio host who brought his dog. Yes. Yes. The guy brought his dog like a fluffy little dog. You know, he'll Hannity like I cannot believe that you remember that Jim fucking Miller, how on earth

with all the stuff you don't remember, how do you remember that Jim Miller was on a Hannity panel with Dan in like 2007. There are just some things you don't forget, Hawk. I mean, and a panel with Leopold's art Jim Miller and Atlanta radio host at his dog. That's something I'll never forget. I mean, that is an amazing poll by you. So anyway, the direct message here it is the request. This is not exactly how Dan's entire segment went, but it's pretty close. I chopped it up to him just saying black are there black people? Where's the black people? He never I don't think got invited back to a Hannity show ever again. You made his point very well. It was essentially a montage of Dan just saying the word black. It's pretty much. Yeah, here it is. This is the super cut of that. And welcome to Hannity and Combs. Thank you for being with us. I'm Sean Hannity. We get right to our top story tonight. And joining us now is syndicated radio talk host,

our friend Neil Boards, former NFL quarterback, serious radio host Jim Miller and syndicated radio show host Dan Loveittart is for those Stan. I've read your column on this. How many people on this group? You know, black. How many people on this set are black? I can't see anybody. I'm doing Michael Vic. It seems like Dan wants to make this panel. Let me get the other guest in. It seems like Dan wants to make this panel. How many people on this group? You know, black seem like Dan wants to make this panel. Let me get the other guest in. I'm like, Dan wants to make this panel. How many people on this set are black? How many people on this set are black? Black, black, black. Black people. He's a black community. Black, black icons. Black people. He's a black community. Black people. You don't have any black people on here talking about it. Black icons. Black, black, black people. He's a black community. Black. Thank you very much. Coming up. Hello. Thank you. Democrats. Some of them. Hey, crushed it. If it is to Dan, it was the whitest panel in the history of panels of it. Dan could not have been more correct. Could not have been more correct. That is, I'm so glad that that listener requested

that. That is, that is just gold. I listened to almost the entire segment, the Hannity and Com segment this morning because I have the entire segment. And man, it is just painful. Hannity did not get exactly what he wanted to get from that. And I do remember it was either the next night or the night after Hannity was still talking about it. And the entire panel was black. He was talking about Dan with a black panel. Yeah. That is great. Another direct message from Jay. Love the pod with Stu Gotts. I arrived at the Levitard show on ESPN radio after you left, Hawks. I'm loving the history and the origin story of you, producer extraordinaire. Thank you for your time. Appreciate it. Appreciate you listening and appreciate the message. Somebody, Dan, DMs me, loving these with Stu Gotts and Hawk pods.

I'm living in Dubai and these have brought so much joy despite everything going on in the region. Listening to the last episode and Tony Dungee was in one of the big opens, can Stu Gotts go into the origin of his fake Tony Dungee Twitter account and any fallout? I don't even recall that. Did you have a fake Tony Dungee account? There was and it was everything that fake that Tony, the real Tony Dungee isn't. He was cursing. He was in hot tops. He was partying. He was raging. I think we have since canceled that account. We have deleted that account. But it was your account. Like you know, I had so many different accounts at that time. I have no idea. I mean, someone was controlling it. I don't even recall that. That's fun. Did Tony Dungee get mad about it? I don't think Tony Dungee was even aware that it existed to be honest with you. But it was like, Hawk, every other word was a curse word. You know, Tony Dungee. He's every religious. He doesn't like the curse and I was like, hey, enough. Okay. I don't care

how religious you are. You can curse. All right. Everyone has their demons. And so I created the fake Tony Dungee. Somebody DMs me. Great podcast about the sports comic night. That one has set viewership records on YouTube. And I'm imagining the audio downloads were fantastic. But that was our previous episode about Mark Hawk and sports comic guy says, hey, that was just saying, oh, what an episode. Guys says great podcast about the sports comic. So frustrating how it all turned out. One thing I think we'd all love to know is that if Dan has ever said anything to you guys or others indirectly about how he feels about this new podcast that you guys do, I can only imagine he's not thrilled with it. He's never said anything to me. I don't think he really cares. I actually think he probably enjoys the fact that you and I are doing a pod together and reliving some of the old show moments. I say that as I probably get a season to cis three weeks from now because he hates it. But no, he hasn't said anything to me.

I would imagine that he, I don't think he listens to it. But I would imagine that he's happy that we're doing it. I have spoke it to him. He has told me that he's happy. Now I don't know, but he has told me that he's happy that we are indeed doing it. And so, but again, I have no idea. And I'm with you. I highly, highly question whether he's ever listened to a single word. No job of this podcast. But we are to me. This is what the oral history should have been. It should have been us taking you through special moments of the show, taking you through time and what we were thinking during those times. I mean, that's just having fun reliving some of the best times of our lives and the listeners lives. Like it's just fun. It's I think back to Neil Boards and I just left. It makes me so I cannot believe you nailed the Hannity panel. He from 20 years ago. I don't know what's wrong with me. The fact that you remember Jim Miller, but also in Atlanta radio host who happened to be Neil Boards. If you were surprised by that, you'll be even more

surprised by this. We found this ZZ Top Sound for you. Play it. He's giving on a mix. Yeah. Oh my God. That is fucking great. I didn't realize it was me singing it. Yeah. You forgot you sang it. I remember the panel from Hannity and Cubs. You forgot you sang a song. Crazy. Play it one more time. This is our. This is the with Stugots and Hockman tribute to the late Frank Beard drummer for ZZ Top. He's giving on of it. That's amazing. Yeah. You're right. It was a basketball writer. How are you remembering everything today? And I'm not remembering anything. You're out of the West Coast. It

happens. I've said it's true. I was at Park City last week. We went to see Rick Springfield in concert. He's 77. He is ripped. When I say shredded, I mean shredded. And he sang legs as a tribute to ZZ Top and Frank Beard. Actually, that was pretty cool. Was the concert good? You enjoyed it. It was fantastic. He is like, he's just a, I don't give a fuck motherfucker. 77 year old. I didn't know he was Australian till the concert. And he, I mean, he put on a great show. And it was on the slopes in Park City. It was like a great venue. There was the lunar eclipse going on that night. It was like, it was really cool. And here's another. Did he give you Jesse's girl closed with Jesse's girl with his shirt off? And it is. You can't believe what you're looking at. The guy is 77. Like you can't, I'll show you here on the, if you're watching YouTube,

you can see this was my video of it. See his seven is seven. Yes. I'd be surprised if he ever said, yes, I'd be surprised if Springfield ever sang Jesse's girl with a shirt on. How about that? You know, I mean, if I was 77 and looked that good, I would know, I would on an airplane. I wouldn't put my shirt on. I'm with you. So guide DMs me. And he says, we find it. I went to my Rick Springfield file there. It says, can you dig up any of the segments with you guys, and Dan asking sports questions to Lebo, his late brother. Everybody knows David Levitard passed away, unfortunately, but we used to have Manda answer sports questions because he didn't know anything about sports. But he says one in particular was a get together at Shulahs. And it was a hysterical moment about him blowing up the bathroom. Yes. This was not where we brought

Lebo on to ask questions about sports. You guys just happened to do once a week at Shulahs, Shulahs, steak two, right? It was Shulahs, steak two. Now this is where I think this is like a big deal like getting the Shulahs, steak two account. And I didn't hate it because we had to do a live show from Shulahs, steak two in a radio booth. That was once occupied by Jim Mandage and Dave Gurgley. Like you stole this from them, right? As the general manager of the station, this only now from that. Yes. UAM had done broadcast at Shulahs, steak two forever. And you went in there and threw a lot of hard work. Got it for $790 the ticket and you and Dan. Yeah, it was a staple of WQIA, one of their staple accounts. They had the studio there. They would do shows from there all the time. They would do appearances there all the time. We got the account away from QAM. Dan and I had to do a live show in order to get that account away. We had to do a show live.

And Lebo did show up for one of those shows. And Lebo went and used the bathroom at Shulahs, steak two. And I had the unfortunate pleasure, I guess, or just walking in afterwards. Walking in about five to six minutes after and Dan came right after me. And Lebo was, there was no one else in the joint. So it just had to be Lebo. That was it. And he finally acknowledged that it was it. Well, this was the following day, you and Dan talking about that incident. I wonder if that bathroom safe now. So why don't you, Les? Yeah, me or 24 hours later. I'm pretty sure Shulahs melted yesterday. Shulah himself is bankrupt now. He's got like, there are there are there are some is around Shulahs stumbled about like all the melted all the shabble. I'm thinking Shulahs and Shulahs don't show them themselves in the parking lot all the shabble. Like, you remember that?

Do you remember that photo in the herald of the guy after a hurricane? Andrew like, he's like, he's like, he's home is down the don Shulahs in the parking. Just waltz around the him. He said they're firefighters all around him. What happened to my empire? He's got like 20 more. Your brother didn't burn them all down. He's like standing there quotes in the paper. The paper the morrow is gonna say, my name is just gonna be a picture Shulah in the caption is gonna be. And I thought what wants that did to my team? Love it to our brother, Mel. Shulahs take two. One eight eight eight.

He lapsed into the crutch. I'm giving out the phone number. It is such an amazing snapshot in time. Because first of all, one of the reasons that I think everyone loves these pods is that you get back to this time where we just laughed for three hours a day, four hours a day on the show. And it was such a rarity in sports radio because Mandage wasn't laughing all show long. Hank wasn't laughing all show long like Ed Kaplan wasn't laughing all show long. And people who found our show in 2004, 2005, 2006, they were marveling that it was just three guys, four guys just cutting up and laughing. But it's such a great snapshot there that Dan went to the radio crutch of let's take phone calls. Yes. Which is bizarre, right? Because he hated taking phone calls although we really liked it during that time. But like the notion of laughing so hard that you can't breathe and then just saying,

let's take some calls. One eight hundred. Remember what our phone number was? Oh wow. I mean, you remember Neil Boertz? Was it something 0790? I don't know. I honestly don't know. It was definitely 0790. It had ESPN in it the first few months, right? It was like 1-100 something ESPN. Yeah, because we were we were an ESPN affiliate. I'll try to remember the number. I only remember panels from 20 years ago on Hannity and Comes. I can't tell you how blown away I am by that. I literally because if you would ask me the only reason that I knew who was on the panels because I had listened to it this morning, getting the sound ready for the podcast, there's not a chance in hell. Maybe I would have come up with Jim Miller because he played for the bears. Right. Neil Boertz and the dog. And the dog. How on earth did you remember that?

I'm looking up the phone number right now. I have no idea. Hey, can you play the can you play the Hannity clip one more time Ricardo because I just want to hear it again before the podcast is over. Did you find the numbers to that? Yeah, before you play at 786 360 0790. Oh, that's seven eight six three six zero 0790. That was the number. Yes. I'll hockey you're right. The other three guys you mentioned Hank Manditch and Ed Kaplan. Those guys were doing solo shows. So the idea that a group of friends would get together every afternoon and maybe talk sports, but also maybe not and just laugh and enjoy each other's company was foreign to a lot of people. It really was and it wasn't just foreign in the Miami market. No one was doing that general. Yes. No one in sports radio was doing that right there were wacky morning zoos that were doing it on music radio. Right. But no one was doing what we were

doing in sports radio Jim Rome super serious, right? He was the serious broadcaster while he had like a tinge of comedy dark comedy sometimes still does. But no one was doing what you and Dan were doing, which was just shopping it up and laughing uproariously. In fact, they would tell you to do the exact opposite of what it is we were doing producer shouldn't speak that much. We shouldn't be laughing that much. Dan should be saying most of the words. I mean all of it you know the rules of radio. We broke them all and I'm glad we did. Yeah. And it's funny like even the the Hannity stuff like people would do stuff on television shows or outside the radio program. And they wouldn't repurpose it the next day for a bit. No. But I remember watching that Hannity moment on television like I probably the only time I ever watch Fox News. And I'm watching that Hannity moment that night. And I'm like, oh my God. I mean we have to revisit this on tomorrow's

show because it's comical. Like it's comical. Here it is one more time the super cut of Dan Jim Miller Neil Bort's dog. Bort's dog and Hannity and comes. And welcome to Hannity and Comes. Thank you for being with us. I'm Sean Hannity. We get right to our top story tonight. And joining us now is syndicated radio talk shows to our friend Neil Bort's former NFL quarterback, Sirius Radio host Jim Miller and syndicated radio show host Dan Loveitt Tarnas with us. Dan, I've read your column on this. How many people on this? How many people on this set are black? I can't see anybody. I don't know how many people on this set are black. How many people on this set are black? Black, black, black. Black people is the black community, black, black icons. Black people is the black community. Black people you don't have any black people on here talking about it. Black icons,

black, black, black people, the black community. Thank you very much coming up. Fellow, thank you. Democrats, some of them. You know what I think happened too is I don't think I told you or Dan that I had created this super cut. I think what I told you guys before the show was, hey, at some point go back to Dan being on Hannity last night. And I've got a couple of audio clips of what it was because that's the kind of stuff that I like to catch you guys off guard with. So I would say so then Dan would end up calling for it. All right, here's a clip of me on Hannity last night. And then I unveiled that on you guys. And it was just black, black, black, black, and that would create some of the laughter. Taylor had a line. He's not involved in this episode because he's bored by us and I wanted him just to blurt it out because I thought it'd be funny to hear his random voice in the middle of the segment. My favorite part of that listening back to it, it seems like Dan wants to make this about race. Which really would be the way that you

could introduce Dan on any moment and any show, anything that he does, you could use that line to introduce him. Yeah, Taylor, Taylor backed out of this podcast. He hates it with the passion of a thousand sons. I'm the one who found ZZ top. Why did you drop the line that you were putting in my headset? When I said was what Michael did with dogs was bad, but now imagine he was black. His helmet being removed. The first thing that happens there is, hey, human being in there. Now you hit him over the head with a helmet. Of course, it's wrong, but I ask you to consider this because I didn't say anything about white, black or race. Let it be a black guy doing it to a white guy and have the white guy not have his helmet on and see if the language doesn't get escalated to a really uncomfortable, loud place. I'm not the brightest star in the sky, but wasn't it?

A black guy doing it to a white guy? A staple. Taylor came in like a sniper. That's why I wanted him to do it. Yes. Nice to hear his voice. Anyway, if there's something you want to hear on the podcast, I'll be back in South Florida this week and then we'll be back to a more regular schedule. But if there's something you want to hear on the podcast like Kevin Arnovitz or Sean Hannity or the Shula bathroom story, feel free to DM me. It's Radio Mark Hockman on Instagram, Radio Mark Hockman on Instagram. Somebody DM me. I'll ask you this. Hock, I love the honest and candid episode talking about the comedy night. For many of us long time fans, it was painful to hear what a pompous ass Dan was. And that wasn't why we played it. It was just the anniversary of a sports comic. You can make your own judgments if you want. He said, I would love to try and find out what happened between him and Stu Gatz. Also curious, if Stu Gatz regrets not taking the WFAN program director job.

If I remember, he was very close a couple of years ago. Keep up the good work. I love the podcast. You were, I mean, essentially from what I understand, the WFAN program director's job was yours if you wanted it and you passed it up to continue on with Dan's show. Do you regret that? I'd be hosting overnight by now. I'd been doing mid days with Carton. It was a, it's a dream job. No question. I don't regret it, Hock, because I like being on the air. I love what it is that we're doing. I love what you and I you're doing. And I didn't have final say on certain things. And that was bothersome to me. Like I felt like after 20 plus years of doing this, I don't need to go to someone else to determine whether or not we're going to rehire Craig Carton for the 14th time. You know? And so that part of it frustrated me. The money is not the same in radio as it once was, especially for position like that. That's a job I would have taken 15 years ago with my eyes closed.

But no, I have no regrets. It's just radio has changed. It shifted and not having final say in certain programming decisions defeats the purpose of being the program director. You know? If you want to DM a request, it's radio Mark Hockman on Instagram. The T-shirt store has brand new shirts. My son's T-shirt store has new shirts that say I mean. And it's got the microphone and with Stu Gotts and Hockman. If you can go to horsemuffins.com, you can get a with Stu Gotts and Hockman podcast shirt. You can get a Mark Hockman sports comic shirt. You can now get an I mean shirt. You can get a Sam Sneed. My God shirt. All these are shirts and hoodies and long sleeves as well. Horsemuffins.com is the website. Can we create a shirt that has the images of the entire panel for Hannity and Coums? That would be great. I'm out of shirt. That says I stand with Neil Bortes dog. Dan seems to want to make this about race.

All right. Stu Gotts says to do three athlete nicknames to end each podcast. Since I was out in Utah, I'll start with Carl Malone. The mailman. Of course. Now I've got to find two others. And what else? Are there any other famous athletes from Utah? John Stockton, I guess. Yeah, but I'm not certain Stockton had a nickname. Did he? I don't know. John Stockton. Andre Carolinco, AK 47. Oh, that's a good one. We had a good one. That's a good one. Wow. Yes. Anybody else? Go ahead. Name a Utah. I mean Kyle Whittingham, the Utah coach. Whitty. Is it Whitty? I'll give it to you. I mean, anyone named Whittingham, his name should be Whitty, right? John Stockton's most common nickname was stock. That's terrible.

I don't have a Mitchell spider. How about that? That's a good one. That's a good one. All right. I'll give you that. You nailed the stock. I mean, who called him stock? Nobody. John. It's the same syllables as his first name. John. Nobody called them that, but I tell us it would have been me who came up with it. Brown. Yeah. I was driving in Park City and there's Karl Malone Ford. He's got a he's got a car dealership out there. Yes. I mean, wouldn't you if you dominated a market for that long? I mean, John has a thousand car dealerships in Denver. Yeah. I think Nick Sabin has a whole bunch in Alabama. All right. That's going to do it for with Stu Gottson-Hachman. Please go by a shirt or a hoodie from my son storehorsemuffins.com. DM me something you want to hear on the next episode of this pod radio mark.com and on Instagram. Everybody have a great day. I mean, we'll talk to you next time. See you. I can enjoy the rest of your trip. He's getting on a mix.
