Seizure and Property

About this episode

The word “seizure” once meant lawful ownership and peaceful possession in old English law, yet today it signifies confiscation by force the very opposite. This reversal mirrors a tragic spiritual decline: when Christ ceased to be King in men’s hearts, “every man did that which was right in his own eyes” (Judg. 21:25), and without godly restraint, power was used to rob rather than protect. Today we see the same drift: property owners face confiscatory taxes, crime, and hostility, while words of peace and love mask hatred and violence. No political reform can truly reverse this; only Christ can change hearts. He claims us as His absolute possession, bought with His blood: “Ye are not your own… ye are bought with a price” (1 Cor. 6:19–20). When we cease seizing our lives from Him and return ourselves and all things to His lordship, He will restore what is rightfully ours. #SeizureAndProperty #ChristIsLord #BoughtWithAPrice
