SEC Backs Down on LSU Expulsion Threat

1:05So the SEC is it turns out is not going to vote to expel LSU from the southeastern conference. Stunning development, right? Who possibly could have seen that coming? Who could have possibly seen that coming that the SEC isn't actually going to vote to expel LSU from the conference? Who possibly? Oh, all right. Gigantic bluff. And the funniest part is not funny. Ha ha. I guess kind of but the letter Wade Roos sent to Greg Sanky yesterday. The last line of the letter is basically we're not stopping. We're not stopping you from having your vote. I'm just trying to stop you from having your meeting. Here's the letter. To be clear, LSU will not challenge disrupt or seek to cancel or postpone this meeting.

11:24I think it's important to remember that ultimately was not going to be Lane's final decision. So and the other thing to remember too, and this is the thing I keep hearing over and over again from some people is LSU cave, they didn't roster the players. Here's one of the challenge, and this is something I should have included in a lot done episode yesterday. Here's one of the challenge you, anybody, sir, anyone. Fine for me, anyone associated with LSU, literally anyone who said unequivocally, we're rostering the players. See, no one at LSU ever said, we're putting those players on the roster. They took commitment from those players when they were in the portal that reopened. And time and again, they said, we're going to wait and see what the court decides. Let's wait. Let's wait and be patient and see what the court says. Because if you have a court order like every other player

12:24that's ever had a court order, you can just disobey the court. So that's all LSU ever said, they never said definitively, we're rostering the players. But they said, we're going to wait and be patient while the court order. And that just made the SEC more and says, now you have to vote, you have to vote, you have to vote, you have to vote. So no one ever said at LSU, not Lane, not Ferg, not Roos, not anybody. Never said we are rostering the players. And remember that lawsuit didn't involve LSU. Those were players suing the NCAA who then enjoined the SEC to gain their eligibility. That lawsuit had not keeps the LSU wins a lot. LSU didn't win a lawsuit. LSU was not involved in that lawsuit.
