About this episode
Samaritans Awareness Day takes place on July 24th, highlighting the vital work the charity does in providing support to people in crisis, 24 hours a day.
To mark the occasion, volunteers and supporters are taking on the 24-Hour Challenge to raise awareness and funds, with challenges ranging from fitness activities to creative projects.
Among those taking part are Michelle Barrett and Marie Gordon, who are completing a 24-hour crafting challenge in support of Samaritans and their lifesaving work.
They joined Alan Morrissey to tell us about their challenge and why the cause is so important.
