This week I speak to Ciara O'Malley. Ciara and her boyfriend David Gavin moved to Canada from Mayo in 2017. They were childhood sweethearts, madly in love and excited to start a new adventure together. A few months after settling into their new lives, David travelled to a GAA match with his teammates. They stopped at a lake to cool down but tragedy struck when David was pulled under the water and never resurfaced. This is a heartbreaking story but Ciara bravely tells me about what she went through that year as they searched for David's body. This story will be brought to you over two episodes.
