It's sound amazing. Welcome back to the Toast, it's Thursday. Yeah, like letter half that we didn't really earn, but whatever. We didn't, but we're enjoying. I look that little, like we're enjoying, it's giving rise and shine. We are enjoying it. This weekend is a bit of work, it's not the hard holiday, but like a lot of cooking, a lot of hosting. We're a shuna, it's brightening and sanary night. The entire holiday, M&Law is like not a dish to be cleaned, no back breaking work, and I'm really like looking forward to it. That's exciting, Olivia is doing the first night and then I'm doing the second night.

1:00So I'm excited and nervous to host in my new house. Of course, so much pressure. We have our dining table, like our formal dining table, but we don't have a kitchen table yet. But I guess regardless, we would have been doing grocery shun at the formal dining. Of course. So it's okay, I'm like, nervous, there's a rug under the table, like don't spill. But we'll have a kids table, we'll have kids table with their little, you know, play table, and then adults. A rug underneath the dining table is so chic. And I'm not just saying that because I have one. No, no, it's really part you, but it's nerve-wracking. A thousand percent, I hope you didn't spend a lot of money and you got one that's micro fiber, whatever. Knowing you, you probably got a silk rug from Persia. It's like, what are they called? That's the artichoke. That's artichoke. That's artichoke. Yeah. Rochak. I don't know, but I'm sure you probably got a stark rug. No, it's very beautiful, but I'm excited. I think I'm going to have to plan the menu, but I think I'll make a brisket. Keep it easy, j-cold, and brisket. Make it on Friday. Bring it on short of the sides and everything on Saturday and just as easy as can be. Also, status update.

2:00My stove is working. I feel like a caveman who just discovered fire. Like we can make anything we want with all of this fire. How exciting. And now I feel whole again. That's great. And I can't wait to see what you cook up for me. Oh, I'm coming to visit soon. I know I'm very excited. After the holidays, you know, kind of life update on my, actually, a lot to share today. First of all, major news with Romeo. And it was so crazy because we were just talking about Romeo. I have to tell you guys a great thing. Guys are ready for this update. I can't believe this is the biggest update, but it kind of is. My story actually comes with a photo. And the photo is going to be on screen. So if you're watching, I'm going to add it. We're going to take the time to add it. Oh, okay. I already sent it. I said get it up. Okay. So so many, we were talking yesterday about the grooming. And Romeo, I said to you guys like because I cheaped out in the hamptons. Like he still hasn't been groomed. He looks huge. I told you also that he was at my in-laws. And of course my in-laws are the best. They don't even ask. They just take care of things. They got him groomed. They've got him groomed multiple times. I never let, I'm not like that particular. Just like cut his hair and make him clean.

3:00Cut to my father-in-laws has spicks him up. And sends me this picture. And I didn't know that he was getting groomed. So I assumed that I was getting a photo from like the day Romeo was born. And we were just like taking a trip down memory lane. I'm like, oh, how sweet. No, the photo was from yesterday. He got butcher, like legit photo. Shop. Insert photo here. I had no idea his ears were that small. And literally like it's a combination of like the photo itself. It's giving like Hamas tunnel. It's giving hostage. It's giving hostage. The cut is really bad. And I was shocked. Like I, I didn't, first of all, like I wasn't mad or anything because like they're doing me a favor. But I was like, they didn't cut his hair. And by the way, I spoke to my mother-in-law. She said, I said keep the ears long. Just cut like the thing that you say. They just sort of like went rogue. And I imagine like it's worse in person. My sister-in-law went to her parents yesterday.

4:00And like was sending me pictures. She was like, it's even worse. It's like, it's choppy. It is really bad. I was, Lord, I've never, the thing about Romeo. Like obviously we have a complicated relationship. But like I've always found him to be like extremely beautiful. Like he's one of the most cutist handsome Cavaliers I've ever seen. He's cuter than Theo. Like I stand on that. Stand on business. And like let me tell you he looks ugly. Like I was botched. B botched by the groom. Guys, that's in photo. The picture is so funny. Yeah, he does look like a newborn puppy. How did they not take off ear? Like how is that all hair? How does he still have carnage in his ear? Like I was, he was e-recognizable to me. And like you know, I thought it was literally a picture from the day he was born. Like when they come out, they're like kind of wet and like slick. I literally thought it was a birth photo, newborn photo shoot of Romeo. No, this was 12 hours ago. You guys have to see the photo if you're listening as a podcast. Like Claudia will post a tearful story. Of course, yeah. It's really too much. And Natty, no, Rob Salt in the womb, but Bruno happened to get groom yesterday as well.

5:00And he like looked gorgeous. He looks amazing. However, like you said, you're coming down here soon. And I think we should get the two for one special. So I think coming down. Bruno, I seriously looked at Bruno this morning on my way to the door. I was like, Bruno, you look his handsome. You look like a two-year-old. You look so young and sprightly and cute. New house agrees with bro. New house. So I then chicken bone agrees with Bruno. You guys, we haven't heard it. I heard it's fatal for a dog. I know people were very nervous, but you guys. It's like eating a grape. We're like 36 hours out from chicken gate. Nothing. Well, the thing is, I think we're up to like life six or seven with Bruno. And you know he has nine lives. So you are getting up there, but the chicken bone is not going to take him out. Yeah, no, it's not going to take him out, but it's contributing to the eventual demise for sure. But like Bruno is living the life. He's living life in the way that he wants. Do you know what I mean? Like he's living a very happy fulfilled life. He's living out loud. He's living out. Don't you find he's living out loud for sure. And whenever he goes like hopefully you know 20 years, whatever,

6:03whenever he goes, like it will be with a smile on his face. Oh my god. Like do you ever like do you think about like like Bruno's death, like and what that will be like? I don't. Okay, that's good. That's really healthy. Yeah. I don't. I think he also does have a mortal energy. Yeah, no, like nothing could take him down. He's going to be one of those dogs. You know, like those families had a like crusty white fluffy dogs that like literally can't see. Can't go to the bathroom. Can't hear but like give love. He gives love. Bruto. I actually, I don't think about it because you know, I got a lot to think about. Of course. But yeah, I guess that will be that would be sad. Like really terrible, horrible thing. Oh my god. I'll be so upset. Brody. Bruno sort of got our last Qnection to Theo. I should bring him. It's funny because Magnolia was around two for the Theodays, but no. That's not real. I should bring Bruno to work with me. Absolutely. Like, Jackie, who knows how much longer he has. I'll bring him tomorrow. Guys, little Friday.

7:03It's kind of like when Theo was dying of cancer and I took him to see the Christmas tree in Rockfeller Center. Yeah, I think I'm going to bring Bruno to work tomorrow. I think that's what we all need. I love that. So, yeah. Well, I'm looking forward to seeing Bruno. I keep trying to say my big news. Oh, right, right. Beyond Romeo's bad haircut. So in a couple of which was genuinely like the biggest in earth shattering. We're coming down obviously because I miss you after the holidays. I've like a lot. I've got a lot of stuff from my camp to summer. You know, get my life in order and then we're going to come down because I didn't even tell you guys. But like, it's kind of big news for me because you guys know I'm like a renter till I die. But when we were in Florida the last time, like a day and medical during my sabbatical, that was December 2025, right? Yeah, I purchased. I made a purchase. But a two person home owner. Okay, like small place owner. By the beach. I obviously like I couldn't really stay with you even though now in your new house. Like maybe I could have, but I felt like my time was running out and like coming to you guys for weeks at a time. And like now we need multiple bedrooms. I think we're just taking a lot of space.

8:04We're be sleeping in the studio. Like it's not. It's not just. Like you're literally recording in Ruby's room. Yeah, not cool. And I just figured like if I'm going to buy a place like I should do it like at the beach, water signs to be with my family. I spend so much time there. So we bought in December and like we've been doing work. So I am going to come down and just sort of like. In your place. Check the place out. It's giving your place. Yeah, I'm a place owner. I love that. I mean, I've I've loved it. I'm very excited. This means so much to me to be closer to my sister. And if it has felt like I've been extra cardboard in recent months. Like now I can finally share like I'm going through a lot. Like I am going through a lot. It's been I live a very sort of. Like laws a fair life like I'm a renter. You know what I mean? And now I feel so tethered. I have like bills and like. Payments and it's been really crazy. It's been a growing experience for us. Yeah, yeah.

9:04And you just I'm in a similar stage like having moved into a new house and everything that comes along with it and decorating whatever. I'm just looking forward to like turning the spigot off. You know, like I'll do what I have to do. You know, things have to be paid for everything we need to stove. Of course, but I just need to get to a place where we can turn the spigot off. I've been feeling that way for a while. And I just feel like maybe like adulthood is like knowing that the spigot never turns off. You don't think so. I feel like I'm like a month away from turning the spigot off. Like parenthood. Like things just happen. Okay, maybe there's different spigot. So I'm a month away from turning off the home spigot. Okay. And that's a big one. That will be a big one. And then I might have to turn off some other spigots. Like Birkin spigot. Like because the home spigot drain. Of course. Other spigots shall suffer. They drain the well. Yeah. And then I wanted to tell you guys something else. Oh, what else could there be? I actually wrote like a list. Oh, that's what I wrote down sometimes. Like I've so many things to share.

10:04And I forgot to tell you this. I yesterday. Remember we were saying on the toast. Like we were so excited for dancing with the stars. We loved Tyler Cameron. But we just get the vibe that he's like a horrendous dancer. So I get this voice memo from the friends here at Cameron. Yeah. And I believe Sharna was like in the background because I heard like a girl. A voice. Oh, it disappeared. Oh, I was excited to have a little Tyler C. cameo. He was like horrendous. Who you calling horrendous? And he was like, I can't wait to prove you wrong. He said if you if we want to come and be like his friends family, we'd love to have us. And then people also did remind me that he had like a whole I didn't watch his season of the bachelor weirdly. That's right. People reminded me as well. He had like a dance sequence. He was like the dancer. I think he actually has like amazing rhythm. And I think he has potential to win because the younger generation doesn't know Tyler C yet. And when they do, he's like Garrett Graham. Like they're going to love him. Everyone who knows him loves him. And if he has the skills, which I'm now sensing like he has a lot of rhythm.

11:06I think that he so my top two are Julia styles and Tyler Cameron. You think Julia styles could win? I do. I have to go back to the whole Millennial audience behind her. Like dancing with the stars is newly very Gen Z, very tick tock. But it's OG fan base is like Millennial like Boomer. And they love Julia styles. Yes. Also Tyler C was on that show like. Dancing. What's that movie? Oh my god, dirty dancing. Tirty dancing. I forgot about that. Yeah, he's like low key dancer. Yeah. Wait, that's cute. I forgot about that. And I'm telling you, I think he has potential. Great. Well, I'm excited. I think that like premieres when. Next week. Okay. Oh, I tried to like be with the people and watch the trending show last night. Ben was out of town. I didn't want to watch the trending show. I'll tell you, I didn't want to watch the alleged woman be there on the US Open. So I can try to watch something else. Everyone's talking about the show furious with his on who Lou with Emmy.

12:07Awesome. Now I sat down with my dinner. And I watched. What did you put in there? Like I ordered because Ben was gone. So I was like, he left me alone. He left me hungry. I ordered. Um, but I don't know why I like. Like embarrassed. Why you embarrassed. I don't know. I literally ordered sushi. She's like, there's nothing weird about that. Okay. I just like ordered a lot. One time I got like an Uber Eats notification that I'm in like the top. I'm not sure if I can get a number one percent of order us. But that's, I used to get those like when I lived in the city for my spot. And that's just because I'm loyal. It's not because I order so much. It's just because most people order from a different place all the time. I have two places I like. So yeah. Yeah. Number one customer. And I watched like the first five minutes of furious. It was so spooky. I didn't know what it was about. And it was like this guy was kidnapped. And I turned it off immediately. Like I cannot watch shit like that by myself. Yeah. That's crazy. Like there's always a busy show that we don't watch, you know? Like. Draw on it. I know, but I felt like I wanted to be with the people. I don't watch. I don't watch fiction anymore. Well, the show is so Olivia Ashery coded. She like loves drama, kidnap FBI.

13:08Like I got to tell her she has to watch it. No, the only fictional watches Chad Powers. That was a percent. But really like if you look at my history, I really only watch reality TV. I couldn't watch Chad Powers. It's like a husband and wife show. I know. I had the same experience last night. Like exactly never came upstairs. And so I was like, I guess I'm not watching Chad Powers. I was watching sports. Oh, yeah, that's why there was some like for cocktail football NFL game on in Australia. Yeah, the 49ers. I think. Yeah. And I saw some people were just talking about it. Who was it? I do respect the NFL's attempt to like go worldwide and compete with soccer. It feels like unfair to the players with the travel to Australia just for like the NFL's image issue. Yeah, that's really crazy and really far. It's so far. Yeah. I don't know who played. I think like the Rams or something like that. Oh, California had to head or a team of that nature. And that does mean like chili season, lounge wear season.

14:10You have to make a chili now. And now that I have my stove top I can. But now I have to make a brisket for Roch. Next week on me, chili. We're doing short ribs. For Roch. Mm hmm. You're in Loser doing short ribs. Yeah. Well, they asked me what I wanted and I said, short ribs. Oh, you're like sort of in your short rib era. It's so good. It's like an alternative to brisket. But it's like the same thing. It's the same flavors. It's like, but it's much softer meat. I find it's very fatty. My father-in-law makes like the best recipe and Ben's recipe. That's on his Instagram. It's like an interpretation of that. It's so good. The meat is a little fatty. There's not. So, my. There's not as much like meat. I think I'm going to go like first cut. Brisk it. What? Okay. Fuck that meat. Yeah, I have no idea. Shoulder. Shoulder. Oh, so good. You brought up first cut, brisket. Huge news yesterday. What? 26:45I didn't even think about like all the things. You know, you see like the Metz game where Mike Piazza scored the home run after 9-11 and pushed throughout the like kind of a core American memories, but you don't think about SNL, which is like so New York. And she said like she had such a pit and she like had a one year old. She was like a new mom. She obviously like was not going to say no. And it was like probably like the most nervous she's ever been in her whole career. Yeah. That's. And they had someone come. I think they had like Giuliani on the episode. Like it was like this whole thing. Um, and if you were to ask me like who was the host of night of the first SNL after 9-11. Like I would never have guessed it was Reese with her spoon. 32:04You know, well, no, I don't agree with that because like one is like they're far away from each other and one's like much shorter than the other. I just think like when you're putting planes in the sky near the New York skyline, it's over important to be like very sensitive. You know, yeah. I think and obviously this week, even more so, would this have stopped traffic in January? I don't know. People might not have been on his high alert and wouldn't have been in a dark mind. But yeah, after all the content, I've seen this week. Of course, this is the first thing that I would think of. But it's not like there's the statue of Liberty here.
