In this session, we'll guide you through a meditative practice
also known as yoga and knee-dra or yogic sleep, which taps into the state between wakefulness and sleep for deep relaxation and renewal. Find a tranquil space where you won't be interrupted. This could be a cozy chair, a soft mat, or your bed. Lie down or recline comfortably, ensuring your body is in a restful position. Placing a pillow under your knees can help support your lower back and a small cushion under your head can align your neck. Make sure you are warm and ready to disconnect from the outside world. The goal is to relax deeply without drifting into sleep. Let's begin. Close your eyes gently. Take a deep slow breath in, then exhale slowly. Repeat this a few times. Each time breathing in through your nose,
if it's comfortable, and a breathing out slowly through your nose or mouth, you might even add a gentle sigh to your exhale. Inhale deeply and exhale slowly. And exhale slowly. And exhale slowly. And exhale slowly. And exhale slowly. And exhale slowly. And exhale slowly. And exhale slowly. With each breath feel your body becoming heavier and more relaxed. I'll now guide you through a detailed relaxation process. As we focus on different parts of your body, breathe into each area. And then let go of any tension as you breathe out. Focus on your feet.
Notice any sensations, warmth, tingling, or relaxation. Imagine a gentle wave of calmness starting at your toes and gradually releasing any tightness as it flows through your feet. Let this wave rise through your legs. Feel it envelop your calves. Knees. And thighs. Sense the weight of your legs. Sinking deeper into relaxation. Fully supported and at ease. Allow the wave to continue through your pelvis.
Breathe into your hips and exhale slowly, relaxing them. Notice your lower back and abdomen, easing into comfort. Feel the wave move up to your chest. Breathe deeply into your chest and exhale. Letting go of any tension. Allow your shoulders to relax completely, feeling them drop away from your ears. Now let the wave reach your head. Begin with your jaw, relaxing your mouth and cheeks. Let your eyes rest comfortably in their sockets
and soften your forehead. Feel the lightness in your head as if all thoughts are dissolving into the wave, leaving behind only peace and calm. The wave moves back down to your shoulders, releasing any residual tension. Feel it travel down your arms. Through your elbows, your arms, your arms, and into your hands. Your wrists, palms and fingers relax fully. Letting go of any remaining stress.
With your entire body now in a state of non-sleep, deep rest, balanced at the edge of sleep, embrace the serenity, the silence, and the comfort of being utterly relaxed, yet awake. As we conclude today's session, gently start to bring awareness back to your body. Notice the room around you. The air, and the surface supporting you. When you're ready, begin to wiggle your fingers and toes gently. Slowly open your eyes when you feel ready. Thank you for participating in this journey into non-sleep, deep rest.
