Good morning from the Fairbanks Museum in St. John'sbury. This is the eye on the sky recreation of forecast. Plenty of sunshine at yesterday and temperatures fairly pleasant for this time of year, although quite a range, upper 60s north to a few low 80s in the south, most of us with some 70s. Last night a few clouds moving on through, that's moved out and we've got a beautiful but a cool day today temperatures only in the 60s, warmer valleys near 70, lots of sunshine, not quite as breezy as it was yesterday but still a fresh northwest wind. It'll be a clear chilly night tonight and then tomorrow we've got some dense valley fog to burn off but other than that plenty of sunshine, there'll be some afternoon clouds moving in across southern and western areas. That'll be part of a change in the weather for the second half of the weekend with some scattered showers. For the mountains today, lots of sunshine and temperatures will be topping out only in the 50s at 4000 feet, 40s at 6000 feet, northwesternly winds 15 to 30 miles per hour, gusting over 60 on top of Mount Washington, light winds tomorrow will then increase out of the
south, temperatures warming considerably in the 50s and 60s across the summits. At lower elevations, winds for boaters, bikers, other outdoor activities, generally northwest today around 10 miles per hour, waves on Lake Champlain, one to two feet, winds will turn to the south tomorrow, winds and waves increasing near Lake Champlain. I'm meteorologist Mark Brin with an eye on the sky.
