The sun broke the horizon at 6.25, settling behind the western horizon at 708 this evening, length of the day, 12 hours and 43 minutes. A mostly sunny, cool day today, highs in the 60s north, upper 60s to near 70, in the south, north-westerly winds not quite as strong as yesterday, but still breezy at times. As high pressure moves in tonight, those winds will diminish, setting us up for a chilly night that coolest night of the season so far, there could be some isolated frost in the coldest mountain valley, so gardeners will want to pay attention to that. There'll be another episode of some chilly weather, Monday night in Tuesday next week. The sunny dry weather continues into tomorrow. Our next chance of rain coming tomorrow night into Sunday morning, especially from the Hudson Valley north to about Route 2, and then Sunday afternoon across northern sections.
