Reacting to Phillies split series vs Braves

Well, first I want to get out of the way. Jesus Lazardo yesterday. That is one of the best games I've ever seen pitched. I forget how many O2 counts it was. They said it joined the broadcast a couple times. But you even if you didn't know the number, you felt like every count was O2 that he was in complete control.

1:00And you watch that compared to the I think the last game he had, you know, seven innings, one hit, nine Ks. Whatever. He said he didn't have his best stuff in that one. You could really see the difference. I mean, he just completely controlled that game yesterday, complete game shut out. They needed every single out every single inning. He was just that was awesome. Yeah, and that was a must have game. They needed that game after that tough loss. Was that Sunday? Yeah. They blew the 401 lead late in that game. Yeah. And man, that was so deflating and come back yesterday. You could tell the offense wasn't into it yesterday. No. And thank God for Zeus because if you don't have that, that, that performance, just say, I think we lose the series three to one. Yes. And that feels a whole lot different than two. Oh, yeah. For sure. You, you would have almost really coming back the majority of goodwill and energy that you would build up lean into that brave series over over one series. The unfair. One series. It would have been the way it was. And you know, I think I actually mean something we talk about for the show,

2:04but just in general, the fact that they win the last one, I think creates a little more energy for the rest of the season as opposed to, you know, losing the last game. So it really had the, you know, I talk with the Phillies all time about the angel on one shoulder devil on the other and to tell you to believe not believe you can look at that series and go and I've done this a bazillion times and say with that starting staff with them performing the way that they're performing, all of them at this point is because we all are seems like he's back. Sanchez is back. Yeah. Lasardo's the, I don't know. It's been the best picture on baseball for like two months. Yeah. Uh, and painter and Noah both look great and you, you say to yourself, well, any three game series, five games, series of seven game series, we can win that series with those guys. But then you look and you see you got amazing performances from all four of them or good performances from all four of them. Yeah. And you split, you know, and, and I, I don't know. And, you know, Alex McFarlane McFarlane, you know, blows his, his first game. The first time in a hot rush or spot, he wasn't really good.

3:04I just, I just, uh, I felt good about the series coming out of it. I didn't feel great about this series. I feel great about our starting staff. I think I just, I still feel good about team. Yeah, I still feel good about this game. And I'll tell you, listen, it's hard to feel great when you don't necessarily win a series. Yep. But what it says is you're right there with Atlanta. You would, when a pitch for pitch for those of us don't get an extra, you're the chance to see Atlanta pitch, uh, play a lot. You know how great sale is, uh, as, as a picture. But we can look over the goal. That's a nuance that you did. But you don't need to do that, not? Because then Pat, then I could just say they're all high leverage touchdowns and low leverage interceptions. That's why we have averages.
