Reporting from the Daily News, now, I'm Cory with the latest in Lester, RAF Typhoon Jets from the Royal Air Force, who overnight missions to protect allies in the Middle East. They shot down an unmanned aerial system heading toward Jordan and intercepted a drone aimed at Bahrain. The UK has now started defensive flights to support the United Arab Emirates as well. To help manage the skies, Britain sent extra-air operations experts to the Gulf region. These teams are providing a clear picture of aerial activity and assisting partners with airspace control. Meanwhile, Wildcat and Merlin helicopters arrived at British bases in Cyprus. They are boosting defenses and helping spot potential aerial ferrets in the area. This follows yesterday's action where RAF Typhoons and F-35 Jets disrupted a deadly drone from Iran that was targeting Iraq. As a precaution, the UK temporarily evacuated family members of Embassy staff from the United Arab Emirates while the embassies stay open.

Defense Secretary John Healey confirmed a U.S. bomber landed at RAF Fairford on Friday. The UK approved use of its bases for targeted defensive operations against Iranian missiles all in line with international law. D&N is sponsored by our partner. Check out the episode description.
