Public Consultation Launched On New Speed Limits Across County Clare
About this episode
Clare County Council has launched a public consultation on proposed changes to speed limits across the county as part of Phase Two of the National Speed Limit Review.
The plans include introducing 30km/h limits in built-up urban areas and reducing speed limits on a number of regional roads, with the aim of improving road safety and reducing the severity of collisions.
But will motorists support the changes, and are they the right approach to making Clare's roads safer?
To discuss the proposals, Alan Morrissey was joined by Ardnacrusha Fianna Fáil Councillor, Rachel Hartigan.
