About this episode
US President Donald Trump is expected to visit Clare next month for the Irish Open at his Doonbeg golf resort, with a trip to Dublin also expected during his stay.
While the visit is being welcomed by some for the economic boost it could bring, it's also expected to attract protests.
Among those planning demonstrations is People of Clare Against Genocide, which has announced a peaceful picnic at Doughmore Beach and a protest at Shannon Airport.
Joining Alan Morrissey to discuss this were the Clare-based Chair of Sadaka, the Ireland Palestine Alliance, Eamon Meehan, and Tulla-based Fianna Fáil Minister of State, Timmy Dooley.
