Perjury as Privilege: The DOJ’s Gift to Ghislaine Maxwell

About this episode

Ghislaine Maxwell’s proffer session with the DOJ was less about truth and accountability and more about performance and deceit. The entire premise of a proffer is simple: you trade truth for a chance at leniency. But Maxwell didn’t come to the table with intelligence, evidence, or leads that could help dismantle Epstein’s far-reaching web. She came armed with a rehearsed script of lies and character assassinations. She weaponized her time in that room not to aid justice, but to smear survivors who had already borne the crushing weight of humiliation in courtrooms and the press. The newly released emails now strip away any doubt about what happened—they show that Maxwell didn’t stumble or misremember. She perjured herself over and over, carefully contradicting her own sworn statements. This was deliberate, malicious dishonesty. And yet, instead of being dragged back to court with perjury charges and buried under the consequences, she was inexplicably rewarded with cushier accommodations. Sitting across from her during this travesty was none other than Deputy Director Todd “Baby Billy” Blanche, a man who should have cut the session short the moment the lies started, but who instead sat back, nodded, and let justice be mocked.

The fallout from this disaster stretches far beyond Maxwell herself. For survivors, it was another betrayal layered on top of years of indifference and ridicule. They were once again slandered, this time under the very nose of the government agency tasked with protecting them. Their truth, earned through blood and tears, was tossed aside so Maxwell could preserve her own skin. For the public, the message couldn’t be clearer: the Department of Justice is not an impartial arbiter of the law, but a stage where the rich and connected get to rewrite the script in their favor. Accountability was promised, but what America got instead was a rigged performance where lies were treated as cooperation, and perjury was treated as a perk. A real justice department would have treated her dishonesty as a direct assault on the rule of law, stacking charges on her until her arrogance collapsed. But instead, Blanche and his colleagues chose complicity over courage, shielding Maxwell from consequences and exposing to everyone watching that in America, justice isn’t blind—it looks the other way when power is in the room.

What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. Let's all give a standing ovation shall we? Because once again the Department of Justice has managed to take what should have been a slam dunk and turn it into a circus. Picture it. Galein Maxwell, convicted predator and professional liar, strolling into a proper session with a swagger of someone who knows she can spit in the government's face and walk out better off than when she walked in. And they're waiting across the table like an eager altar boy sits deputy director Todd

Babybilly Blanche, our supposed guardian of justice, ready to lap up every lie she feeds him like its communion bread. And what do we get from this grand performance? Do we get intelligence? Do we get names, leads or actionable evidence that could dismantle Epstein's rotten empire of course not. What we get are lies. Mountains of them lie so obvious that the newly released emails make it impossible to deny that she perjured herself over and over again. She didn't just misremember, she didn't just fudge a detail or two, she lied with purpose with malice with that trademark Maxwell arrogance. And instead of punishing her, instead of adding years to her sentence, the DOJ rewarded her with cushier accommodations no less. Because apparently perjury in America is an accrim if your name is Maxwell, that shits a perk. This is what passes for justice now, survivors defamed, the public mocked, and predators coddled.

Maxwell didn't just make a mockery of the survivors, she didn't just make a mockery of the public, she made a mockery of the Department of Justice itself, and Blanche bless his heart, sat there, and let her do it. The newly released emails have blown the roof of whatever flimsy cover Glaine Maxwell had left. These weren't ambiguous notes that could be massaged by a PR team or minor contradictions or attorneys could spend as simple misunderstandings. These were smoking guns, indisputable evidence that she lied in her proper session, lied brazenly with confidence with arrogance. And she did it in the one place you're not supposed to even think about lying, while sitting across from the deputy director of the DOJ, Todd Babybilly Blanche. Now this isn't the kind to slip up you see in a witness fumbling dates or details. This was perjury, calculated, and deliberate. And the DOJ, instead of doing what any real law enforcement agency would do, slammer with

charges, and marcher back into court, sat there with our arms folded, their heads nodding, like clueless extras, and a bad play. Instead of calling perjury what it is, instead of taking the mountain of evidence and treating it as the insult to justice it truly was, the DOJ acted as though Maxwell had gifted them the rosetta stone of Epstein's network. They elevated her lies to the level of intelligence as all her words carried the weight of law. But let's get one thing straight. She didn't provide a single piece of actionable intelligence? Not one document, not one breadcrumb that could lead to an arrest, zero, zilch, nada, ungots. What she did provide was a meticulously rehearsed script of lies as if she had been training for the performance her whole life, and the DOJ let her shovel that manure directly into their records, smiling as if she had delivered gold. The very emails that have now surfaced, black and white, undeniable proof, show you just

how deep this whole entire cover up runs. These aren't just whispers or anonymous sources, these are her own words clashing directly with what she told the DOJ in that room. Clear contradictions, bold as daylight, and impossible to explain away, and yet blanch the man supposedly guarding the sanctity of the justice process, sat across from her and treated every lie as if it were holy writ. The Department of Justice didn't interrogate her, they didn't confront her, they didn't stop her mid lie, they became her audience, her enablers, her willing accomplices, and this disgusting parody of justice. And then there's David Marcus, Maxwell's attorney. You could almost hear the champagne corks popping in his office. His client waltzed into what should have been the most dangerous room of her life, lied with abandon, smeared her victims, and walked out with a more comfortable prison placement. We're not talking about just a legal win here, this was a jackpot. Marcus didn't outmaneuver the DOJ, he didn't expose weakness in their case, he didn't do

anything extraordinary, the extraordinary act was blanch and his DOJ colleagues who handed Marcus the victory on a silver platter. If this is what passes for justice, defense attorneys everywhere are popping popcorn and taking notes. But the real sickness of this entire charade was how Maxwell used her time in that room, she didn't use it to shed light on Epstein's financial network, his political ties, or the enablers who graced the gears of his machine. No, she used it to defame the very survivors who had already endured hell at her hands. Survivors who had fought for years just to be heard, only to be re-traumatized by hearing Maxwell weaponized the DOJ itself as a platform to smear them once again. Think about that. The government agency tasked with defending these women sat silently while Maxwell called them liars. That's not a mistake, that's complicity, that's cruelty institutionalized. And instead of punishing her for it, the DOJ rewarded her.

Let's make it clear, if an average defendant in a fraud case, a drug case, or even a petty larceny case walked into a proper and lied, they'd be slapped with perjury charges so fast their head would spin. The deal would be voided, their sentence extended, and the message would be clear. Lie to us, and you'll pay the price. But Maxwell, she didn't get punished, she got promoted, to a cushier prison assignment, to relative comfort, to the kind of treatment that makes a mockery of the very concept of equal justice under law, and let us not mince words about Blanche's role in all of this, as Deputy Director of the DOJ, his job is to preserve the integrity of the system. His job is to ensure that justice has teeth, that lies, have consequences, that predators don't walk into proffers, and laugh in the government's face. Instead, he sat there like a man, watching a televangelist hawk miracle water, nodding along as if Maxwell's lies were gospel. Blanche is in the guardian of justice in the room, he was Maxwell's enabler, her audience,

her silent partner, and crime. If the DOJ still had any shred of credibility, Blanche would be packing his desk, this morning. And that's what makes the entire fiasco so disgusting. The DOJ doesn't just look weak, weakness would be forgivable if they had at least tried. But no, they looked, they compromised, they look bought, bent and owned, they look like an institution that has been so thoroughly infiltrated by cowardice or worse, complicity, that they can no longer tell the difference between truth and performance. And the message it sends to the public is devastating, if you're rich connected and audacious enough, you can walk into the department of justice itself and lie within punity. And of course, the survivors once again pay the price. Imagine being one of those women, sitting at home, reading the headlines, and realizing that the very institution you trusted to defend you has turned into Maxwell's stage. Imagine watching her perjury, not only go unpunished, but being effectively endorsed by the DOJ,

Hey, it's Cole Swendell, and when I spend 200 days a year rolling down the highway, the bus can start to feel smaller than a guitar case. Everyone wonders how I stay chill while the hours crawl by. Truth is, one good luck spent on Chamba, and suddenly the trip does a whole lot shorter. Finding your space, even when there isn't much to spare. Need some chill? Let's Chamba. No purchase necessary, VGW Group Boyd were prohibited by law, 21 plus TNC Supply, sponsored by Chamba Casino. It's like being assaulted twice, once by Maxwell and Epstein, and again by the very system, that's what it protects you. And the public, that's you and me, we've been calmed on a grand scale. We were promised accountability, we were promised transparency, we were told that there would be no sacred cows, no untouchables. What we got instead was a magic trick where Maxwell turned lies into perks and blanch acted as her assistant on stage. This wasn't served, justice was mocked, gutted, humiliated.

The DOJ didn't just fail, they insulted everyone who still believed in the possibility of fairness. And what about DOJ leadership? Where is the righteous fury? Where the press conference is declaring that perjury will not stand? Where the announcements of fresh indictments, of new charges, of a system correcting its own mistakes? No where? And that silence is deafening. And that silence screams complicity. It screams cowardice. It screams that the DOJ would rather be mocked by Maxwell than confront the ugly truths of her lies that they were designed to obscure. And let's not pretend that that was difficult calculation for the DOJ. This wasn't a close call, this wasn't gray area, the emails make it clear, she lied, she perjured herself. The law is explicit about what happens when someone perjures themselves in a proper session. And yet the DOJ did the exact opposite of what the law demands. They didn't punish her, they rewarded her. They showed us that in America justice is implined, it's selective.

And let's talk about those cushy new accommodations. Because every day Maxwell spends enjoying, her reassignment is another day the system screams that it doesn't care. She should be rotting under a prison, stripped of every perk and privilege she calmed her way into, instead she's lounging and relative comfort no doubt smirking at how easy it was to bend the DOJ to her will. Further survivors were not talking about just another betrayal, it's a cruel joke. And the tragedy of all of this is how preventable this was. The DOJ had every tool it needed, the whole Maxwell accountable, they had the emails, they had the contradictions, they had the law on their side, all they needed was encouraged to act. And they chose silence instead. Silence that tells survivors their pain is negotiable. Silence that tells the public that perjury is fine if you're rich enough. Silence that tells predators everywhere that justice is a game. You can win if you play dirty enough. It's humiliating for the Department of Justice.

Blanch and his team didn't just fail, they became complicit, they didn't just let Maxwell off the hook, they tied the new surround justice's neck and handed her the lever. News once again are left to pick up the pieces, the public is left disillusioned, and Maxwell gets to laugh behind prison walls that feel more like country club gates. At this point the DOJ has officially become Maxwell stage manager, they set up the lights, they hand her the script, they let her perform uninterrupted, and then clapped at the end. And now they expect the rest of us to survivors the public the people who still naively believed in accountability to applaud as well. But no one is clapping, no one is fooled. We see this charade for what it is, justice bent until it broke. And the real tragedy is that justice could have been served, Maxwell could have been held accountable, not just for her role in Epstein's crimes, but for lying under oath to the DOJ itself. The survivors could have finally seen the scales of justice tip in their favor, the public

could have been reassured that no one's above the law. Instead the DOJ once again shows the path of least resistance, cuddle the liar, ignore the survivors, and betray the public. So once again we're left with an ugly reality, Maxwell lied, blanch enabled it, the DOJ rewarded it, the survivors once again were betrayed, mocked and humiliated, the public once again was conned, misled, and discarded. And justice once again was trampled under foot, sacrificed at the altar of cowardice and corruption. As every single day that Maxwell spends in cushy confinement, is another reminder that justice in America isn't about truth. It isn't about accountability, it isn't about protecting survivors, it's about protecting power, about shielding they connected, about bending the rules, until they snap. And until Maxwell is held accountable for perjury, until blanch is held accountable for enabling it, the Department of Justice will remain what it has become.

A hollow shell, a stage for lies, a mockery of its own name. All of the information that goes with this episode can be found in the description box.
