I'm Cory with the story, and this is your Pulse of the City, Lester News today. A new poll of a thousand parents with kids aged 1 to 10 shows, 6 and 10, are wrestling with the push to lip perfect on social media. 25% say they battle high parenting expectations overall, and more than 4 and 10 point to online platforms as a big factor. Top pressures include keeping a spotless home at 51%, nailing work-life balance at the same rate, and ensuring kids get balanced. Nutrition, which weighs on half of them, parents log about 2 hours and 4 minutes daily on social media, adding up to more than 45,000 minutes a year. That constant scroll fuels comparisons. Meanwhile, mums fill it more with 39% chasing perfection online, versus just 5% of deads. Many parents push back though. 59% agree, there's no set rulebook for raising kids, and 71% say everyone needs to cut themselves some slack. Daily, 40% feel proud, but the same share feel wiped out or swamped, while 38% report stress.

They crave real talk online too, by post-show-em parenting slip ups at 42%, honest morning chaos at the same level, and cheers for. Small daily wins over big moments. Common hurdles had balancing work, and family at 46%, squeezing in self-care at 40%, and varied meals for kids at 29%. Percent. This research highlights shared struggles and a call for straightforward help that fits real life, plus more nods to those quiet victories that keep. Parents going.
