All right. Well, coming up on Friday, the 13th, head to Kat's cradle back room. Big show happening that evening surfing for Daisy is going to be headlining, opening up for surfing for Daisy is one of our favorites, Jack, the radio, Kat's cradle.com for tickets to the show, Jack, the radio.com for more on the band. We got George from Jack, the radio here in the studio this morning to play a song and talk about it. How's it going? Good to see you doing great, great to be here. What are you going to play? This is a song for most recent record called Warbirds. Go for it. This is a song for most recent record called Warbirds.

In the same old town, same old sin, they try to tear us down. Like a warbird flying through a broken land. They're coming in heavy, they're giving things a miss. Who will save your saviors from worshipping themselves? You'll be braver the more than yourself. Street lights flicker on the edge of town. I spent all summer just hiding it out.

Decades pass since we brought you wings. But every now and then I think about those days. And how the same sun sets on the same old town. Same old sins try to tear us down. Like a warbird flying through a broken land. They're coming in heavy, they're giving things a miss. They're a warbird flying through a broken land. They're coming in heavy, they're giving things a miss. Who will save our saviors from worshipping themselves?

You'll be braver the more than yourself. Nice. You're listening to George from Jack the Radio here in the studio. Getting ready for a big show coming up on Friday the 13th, opening up for surfing for Daisy at Kat's Cradle Backroom. JacktheRadio.com is the website. That was really good. I love that song. Thank you. That was fantastic. A little voice crack in there for the morning. It's fitting. Okay. So before we talk about the show, tell us about that song. Oh, man. It's probably the heaviest song I've ever written.

Yeah. And just kind of in response to it all. It all. And I mean, it's sad to say that was something I wrote several years ago, but still seems pertinent to today. I don't know. Yeah. Trying to let out emotions. Yeah. We did it. So we do a hometown hero every, we recognize a hometown hero every week and back in 2020, like high to the pandemic. I recorded a promo, like encouraging people to submit nominations and the promo was, well, we're going through a really heavy time. So that does mean there's a lot of people who are doing the cool stuff, submit your nominations. That promo was still freaking relevant five years, four years, six years later, which is not great, but it is one of this. So tell us about the show. The show is going to be cool. And on a lighter note and you know, always great to be able to get out and kind of just focus on fun and let the good in your life too. Yeah. So Friday the 13th, which is always a fun date to say out loud.

We'll be at the back of the cat's cradle back room. Love that space. One of the coolest venues I feel like the sound is amazing. The space is very comfortable. There's a balcony, which you don't normally get in a room that's around 200 plus size. I like the, I like that room better than main room. Oh, wow. So like I think the sound is better. If it's more in a minute, like you said, it's, it's a cool place to play. It's a really great space. And touring band coming through surfing for Daisy wasn't familiar with them before. But as soon as we got asked about the date, checked them out. Love their sound. Soon as we posted it, had several friends saying they had seen them before and they were excited for the show. So really looking forward to sharing the stage with them. Nice. What you got coming up after that? Now we've got a few other shows in the works, mostly regional, mostly in North Carolina, working on some Virginia dates as well. We're also planning, we haven't announced it yet, but a split EP with the song I just played. We are doing a stripped down version of that song with our friends from Winston Salem, Crenshaw, Pentecostal. Oh, cool. So planning to do a seven inch record with them.

Cool guys, cool music. Just trying to have fun with it. All y'all bring in all the great bands together. Yes. Yeah. Yep. Again, catscradle.com for tickets to the show. It's Friday the 13th at Catscradle Backroom, Surfing for Daisy, and Jack the radio and check them out at Jack of the Radio at dot com. Thank you so much for being with us. Thanks for having me, man.
