Base models compare based on manufacturers' websites. Yo, what's going on, busted open nation, and thanks for tuning into another edition of the After Dark Podcast. It's me, it's the OG of AD. It is Uncle Bulley, and this has been a long overdue sit-down chat interview with a woman who got my attention just a couple of weeks ago. Ranson Claire beat the crap out of Kalani Jordan. Ranson Claire got in GM Roberts' Stone's face. Ranson Claire got herself suspended, but Ranson Claire got herself right here on the Busted Open after Dark Podcast. This is the Busted Open Podcast. I know she was a speed champion, she was the last speed champion in NXT. And I can't figure her out, I can't figure if she's happy, happy,

or if she's really mean and means spirit and angry. That being said, Ranson Claire, welcome to Busted Open after Dark. Thank you, I'm glad I could be here, and unfortunately for my own home, because I was suspended. So I don't get the cool graphic that says Ranson Claire in the back, you know, to be on here to talk to you. But this is different, I said it at the beginning of the show. I have never, I've been in, with Busted Open for 10 years, I've been doing After Dark for like three or four years. I've never spoke to anybody in the WWE in all of Pro Wrestling that has ever been suspended from a company. You're a rebel, you're a rebel rouser. And I've never spoke with anybody that wasn't at the Bully Ray Studios at the PC. So this is a first that you're doing this from home.

I have seen you for like two years, but I didn't know much about you. I know one time we crossed paths in a pre-tap, I know I had seen you runner around, Rouseville and Emma LFG, and you were doing your NXT thing, but I'll tell you two weeks ago, you really caught my eyes and ears, and I think you caught the eyes and ears of a lot of wrestling fans out there. When you went crazy with that Tendo stick, and you got in Robert Stone's face like, where did this come from? Why now? Why haven't we seen it before? Talk to us, Ren. I mean, I feel like it just kind of gets to a certain point. I feel like I was someone who always wanted to be here in the WWE, and as someone who is that kind of person, you learn to close mouth ears open,

and so that's what I did, and I feel like I've done that for the past three years. And where has that gotten me? Like, in this last year alone, I have watched so many people come in and get things that I never got. There's people walking in the door and getting t-shirts in the trailer a week later. I've been here, again, almost three years, and I don't have anything to show for it like that. I was the Speed Champion. I was the last Speed Champion, and did I get a shirt for that? No. Did I get a championship celebration? No. And so it just like gets to a point where it's not only people stepping on you, but it feels like the company stepping on you. And so why when I've been such a good little soldier for them, what do I get from that? So why am I going to continue doing that? That's literally like insanity, just doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. So I feel like it's just something that like bubbled up inside of me,

and like you see every... Zilla Fattu literally came in during a main event match, ruined it, and what did he get? He got a championship match handed to him on a platter, on a PLE. I do something. I beat the living tar out of Kalani, and I accidentally hit a ref, and what do I get? I get suspended. Like it's just like... I don't know. That was the most frustrating part, because I feel like the one time that I show any bit of emotion or the one time that I fall out of line, it's a problem. But at the same time, I'm not going to stop, because now that I've done this, like I've got a taste for it. You know, it's interesting. I've learned... You're going to learn so many lessons in this industry. I've learned so many lessons, and one of the biggest lessons I've learned is the WWE in Pro Wrestling. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.

And I've never heard you really squeak too much, but the other night I heard you yelling and screaming and squeaking away. How did it feel to get into general manager Robert Stone's face and to get all of that off of your chest and all of that frustration out there? It felt incredible. It felt like something that's just been waiting to come out. I feel like I have always had it in me, and I don't know if I can close it back up, honestly. Like beating Kalani up with that kendo stick, like feeling her body... It's going to sound so weird, but feeling the crack of her body and the reverberations through my hands, and it was like a power that I can't even explain. It felt so good to get all of my frustration out, and then getting in Robert Stone's face was amazing, because how many times do you want to tell your boss

to shut the fuck up or implement it? Yeah, and just Robert Stone in itself. You just look at him sometimes, and you just want to say some things to him. Just like... So he suspended you. He didn't suspend you for getting in his face. He suspended you because you accidentally cracked the referee with the kendo stick. Do you know how long your suspension is for? So I accidentally hit her. I didn't hit her with the kendo stick. I accidentally punched her. Oh, a puncher, okay. And to be fair, if you're in the middle of a fight and someone grabs you, who do you think it is? You're not thinking like, oh my gosh, let me check if it's unofficial. But I don't know. He has not said how long it was. I was not told anything like that. He just stays in the comments of my posts, making sure I stay at home and getting a little digs at me. If you were talking to Robert Stone right now,

what would you say to him? Would you apologize for making accidental contact with the ref? Would you ask him to reconsider? Have you come back earlier? Or would you tell him to go pound that? Yeah, go tell him to kick rocks. Because I feel like I can't apologize at this point. Like, unfortunately, Vicki was hit. And that is on me. I will say that. But the fact is, like, I just got to a point where I couldn't take it anymore. And I'm not going to apologize for that. I can't put myself back in the box because that's going backwards. I'm not going backwards anymore. I'm going forward. My mouth is open. It's not going to stop going now. You know, despite the fact that you are suspended and that you are at home, we did see you on NXT programming tonight. We saw you at the doctor's office, along with Kendall, being a good friend, a great support system. As a matter of fact,

I was shocked to see you. I was shocked to see you there. I was shocked at GM Stone actually allowed that footage to air. But talk to me about Kendall's situation right now. And can you give us any insight into it sounds a little bit worse than what we're hearing from the doctor? Yeah, it really does. I think that's what I'm trying to do. I think that's what I'm trying to do. I think that's what I'm trying to do. And I feel like Kendall is the kind of person who will go and go until the wheels fall off. And even when that wheel has fallen off and is a mile back, she's still going. And I think that was to her detriment from my understanding. It kind of seems like the only thing that we can do is slow down. Her body's been trying to heal from whatever it was to the year. The initial impact happened. And then she kept fighting through it.

She even got herself cleared to do one of the road loops despite people telling her not to. And so unfortunately it is a lot worse than everyone thinks. It's a lot worse than she thinks. And I think is willing to give herself like the leeway to slow down. Because that's just not in her nature. But unfortunately, it's the only thing she can do. Because time really does heal all things. And so I know who she is. I know her work ethic. And so I felt like I needed to be there because it just wasn't going to be the news as she wanted to hear unfortunately. By the time you get to the end of your career in this industry, you will only need the fingers on one hand to count the amount of true friends that you've made in this industry. Because friends and wrestling are an oxymoron. It's like jumbo shrimp or skinny and dreamer. It just doesn't make sense. There's my dreamer joke for the night.

But you were a good friend. If Robert Stone were to come on busted open tomorrow. And he will be on tomorrow morning. Like he, you know, Robert Stone will be on with David LaGracca and Nick Nemeth tomorrow morning of us at open. And I'm going to say, all right, you know what? I'm lifting the suspension on Rensing Claire. If you're back on NXT television next Tuesday night, who is the first woman you're going after? Who is the first woman in that locker room you're looking for? Is it Kalani? Or are you going to cut? It is. I'm a question. Yeah, I mean, again, I'm sitting here watching NXT from my home. And she's still in the middle of the ring running her mouth. And I'm looking for a sidekick saying that like, oh, well, I put down Kendall Gray. I put down Rensing Claire. And it's really easy to talk and be that big person in the ring when one of us is not allowed in the building. And the other one is literally physically incapable of going in there.

So every time that I have seen you come across you, it had a small encounter with you. You seem very bubbly. You're always smiling. it seems like you're always in a happy mood. Is that the real you or is there something that lies beneath the surface that we just got a glimpse of a couple of weeks ago? I feel like that's, um, that's a good question. I feel like it's kind of what I do. It's kind of what I do. You just have the great questions. Um, I feel like kind of like I said earlier, like when you come into this business, like you come in, you do what you're supposed to do and I feel like who I am is probably a glimpse of what you saw. I feel like when I came into the WWE, I didn't want to ruffle feathers. I wanted to come in. I wanted to be a part and, um, so like what's the best way to do that?

I didn't want to be a threat. I would say to the women's locker room, if you come in and you start bustin' heads and like rub and everyone the wrong way, then you're gonna have an issue in the locker room and I feel like I was nice. I was bubbly. I thought that if I could get everyone, not to like me, but to be on my side, like this would be great. You hear about that all the time, like having people have your back in this business is the best thing. And so I went in there and that's what I tried to do and obviously didn't get me anywhere. So maybe it is time to let a little bit of the real me show. Maybe it is time to stop puttin' up with people shit, um, because where again has it gotten me? So I would say that maybe a little glimpse of the real me, the... You gotta be careful though about people having your back because sometimes they stick knives in it. I don't have enough room in my monstrous back for any more knives being stuck in it. Uh, as I said a couple of weeks ago, I was shocked to see that side of you. I think wrestling fans were shocked to see that side of you.

Were the other women in the locker room shocked? Were Shawn Michaels shocked? Were any of the higher-ups at NXT Shock? Did you get pulled on the side by anybody other than Robert Stone? Did you open up any other eyes? Were all the girls in the locker room talking? What do you got? So I definitely think people were shocked. Clearly when you spoke to Jada, she seemed to really enjoy seeing that. She loved it. Oh my god, she loved it. But yeah, no, I think people were definitely shocked. I would say some people were kind of scared in a way because no one, literally people were like, I've never seen anything like that from you. Like you're always so happy, you're always so smiling bubbly. Like never taking anything seriously. So I think people realize like you push her too far. Like she is going to bite back eventually and that's what happened. I did not go back into the locker room after that. As you saw, Robert so kindly had those men escort me out.

So I didn't get to see what Shawn Michaels thought or said or anyone, but beautiful little Robert Stone. Basically all I got after. So no phone calls, no nothing, you're kind of just running the shark. Yeah, like Robert just suspended me and then again, like little comments on my post like, oh, a concert post, enjoy your time. Thanks, Mr. Stone. I feel like you're really just adding like little sparks, little fuel to the fire there. I did see that when you you quoted something that we put out today, he did comment and he said, you talk about. Make sure it's from your house or whatever. Yeah. Yeah. Like yeah, exactly. I kind of seemed a little low brow for the GM to do to a suspended talent. That's what I've been saying. I'm not saying that. What I did is like, okay, like I shouldn't have accidentally hit her. But like clearly there's some type of, I don't want to say bias, but I think he has it

in for you. Do you have a history with Robert Stone at all? I mean, not really, but clearly like some type of, he has some type of animosity because I and some people on the internet would say that it was unjust and the suspension is kind of a little OD because literally, I didn't dark state trashed his office. People have injured Kiyano took out a Vakingo right before their things, but nothing ever happens to them. And I don't know if it's just because they're men. I don't want to go there and say that. But like the second a woman goes and does something suspended. And so when I saw Danny Ray finally get a backbone, which I was impressed with tonight, I was like, watch out Danny, you might also get suspended, but it doesn't look like she was. Yeah, she definitely got people to sit up and take notice also. Obviously you saw the clip or you heard the show with Jada.

Jada had just come off that loss to Kalani last week. And you know Jada was, you know, she was in a little bit of a bad mood for, you know, for lack of a better word. And she was, you know, I know Jada to be a little bit more upbeat. But man, when we brought up your name and you taking that kendo stick to Kalani, she lit up like the 4th of July. That great Jada smile came out. She was so excited to see what you had done to Kalani Jordan. That's got to make it happy in a weird way, right? It does because Miss Parker, oh my god, she was beating people over the head with bricks, so to get that kind of like, oh shit, that recognition from her. It felt good. It felt like it was the right thing to do because Miss Parker approved then. There you go. Coming up next, I continue my chat with Rennes and Claire.

I wish I could elaborate more. But I'm kind of a fan of the Wednesday podcast. Oh. Are you? You didn't know that. I didn't. I really didn't. Boy, why are you in the comments saying happy Wednesday?

Happy Wednesday. But tomorrow's you know what? Robert Stone is on tomorrow. You should call into busted open just to wish him a happy Wednesday. If you send me the number, I definitely will do that. Okay, I will. Love, love, love to say some things to him because honestly, riddle me this. Let me let me just get your opinion on something real quick. So if you're Robert Stone, right? I'm not saying he has like a big or a little man complex or anything like that. But if you're Robert Stone and you're the GM and you want to do what's best for your television show for NXT, you want to make NXT competitive with the AAA, Smackdown, RAW, everything like that. If you have someone like myself who if you look online on Instagram, on Twitter, the video of me beating the tar out of Kalani has over a million views with over 700 comments on this one post with everyone saying that what I did was justified and Robert Stone

is in the wrong and I shouldn't be suspended. What would you do? What would you do? You have over a million views on that video? On just one of them. So if you combine all of the videos and that's just on Instagram. So if you look at all of them and all of the people in those comments on my comments for Wednesday, everyone is in a green that what Robert Stone did is not just that people are on my side. I agree with you. He's got a business to run. And if that many people are tuning in to see your numbers, I'll say this, I'll say this, I want to be fair about the situation. Let's say his hand was forced because you did strike a referee. If I'm Robert Stone and you're doing those kind of numbers for NXT on social media,

I think he's got to reinstate you much sooner than later. That's my opinion. And I hear you, but how many other people have accidentally hit a rep or not listen to them? Again, today the amount of times that referees had to pull people back and they kept going, what is that any different? Like mine wasn't accident but these people are deliberately not obeying the officials and nothing happens to them. Rem, I don't disagree with you. I just know that he has suspended you. And the best case scenario is that he lifts it real quick because it's in the best interest of NXT to have you on their TV screen, especially- And I agree with that. Controversy creates cash. Yeah, and so you said that Robert Stone will be on here tomorrow morning? Yes. Give me that number because I want to talk to him. Rem, not only will I give you the number, I'll give you the K-thabe hotline number.

And I never use that word on my show. Never. I'll give you the- Now we can both break some rules. Watch out, don't break too many, Robert Stone might suspend you. Rem, I'm the king of the rebels. You don't know the shit I did back in the day. I'm a riot stutter. But enough about me. I will give you the number. You call in. I'll tell you when to call in and you can talk to him yourself. I would love to. You need to remind him of what you just smartened me up to and smartened all of the bus that opened after dark listeners to. Because you're right. The numbers don't lie. Here's the numbers that I do for this brand. Yeah, exactly. So let me, let me, let me talk to you about this little Wednesday podcast that you got. Okay. I'm listening now. Everybody knows that Uncle Bowie has the super sexy swinging sounds of his sandpapery smooth voice. Trust me, it's a big deal in the wrestling business.

But your voice is really good too. Have you ever been complimented on like when you take that little fuzzy microphone and you start talking into it? It's like, oh my god, she just picked up the microphone. She has a really always here. Wait, can you introduce me to your podcast? Like do my intro? Yeah. Okay. Hey guys, happy Wednesday. So today we have a special guest. We have none other than Uncle Bowie. Two time Hall of Famer. Two time Hall of Famer. 24 time World Tag Team Champions. 24 time Tag Team Champions. Two time World Heavyweight Champion. Two time World Heavyweight Champion. And a damn handsome man. And a pretty alright kind of man.

Excellent. Excellent. I love it. I love it. So you have time off to yourself now? Yes. What are you doing with your time? Even though you're not at the PC training, even though you're not on NXT on Tuesdays, are you still immersed in the world of pro wrestling? Or are you kind of disconnected? I'm doing, I don't know why I was up to talking to this. I'm doing a little bit of both. Obviously, the training will not stop because I can't just make a statement like I did and not be able to follow up after that. And also, there's just been a ton of wrestling going on lately. Like Triple A just put on two great shows back to back. So I am still in it, but I am also taking a step back. Enjoying life and Orlando and stuff like that.

I went to a Bruno Mars concert on Sunday and that was amazing. He heard this on a great show. He is amazing. That is the only man shorter than me that I think has any authority over me. And that's including Robert Stone. Yeah, Robert Stone and the same in the same breath as Bruno Mars just doesn't go. Do you, what do you do to keep up with what's going on other than, you know, watch the show? Do you, like, how do you get better at what you do? Do you watch tapes? Do you stay in contact with coaches? How does Renseng Clare become better at what she does on the microphone and in the ring? On the microphone, I would say the Wednesdays help a little bit. It kind of keeps my mind going because you really have to think about what you're doing. Like, it's only a minute, two minutes sometimes and you have to plan out what's going to happen.

Not necessarily what I'm going to say because nine times out of ten, they're one takes and I'm just, just going off the top of my head. So I try and do that, but I also have looked back at like promos that have been on NXT or otherwise and I've written them out and then I've tried to memorize them and like recite them how I would recite them, just trying to like keep myself sharp. I feel like the biggest disconnect sometimes when people speak is that they just speak and they talk like this and everything is like this. Or when I watch independent wrestling, like promos, a lot of them talk in like a certain cadence. And it really like irks me. You mean when they cut the typical pro wrestling promo and talk in a cadence like this? Yes, but you also forgot when they're like so and so, I respect you.

You hate the respect thing, don't you? Because it's like they just like don't know what to say and I respect you. But come Sunday, you're going to figure out what it means to be and then whatever their catch phrases and nine times out of ten, it doesn't make sense in the context. Can you have something that you do to catch people's attention when you're cutting a pro, whether you're doing your podcast or whether you're in the middle of a ring with a live stick or you're doing pretty, is there something that you do to catch people's attention? Do you have a conscious trigger to get people to put their eyes and ears on you? I think that something I'm still like developing. I would say on my own stuff or when I'm like trying to come up with my own promos, I would say the first line or the first 20 seconds is something that needs to catch their attention because if I'm scrolling on TikTok, if I see something and I'm just like, I don't care, I'm looking after like two seconds. As far as in the ring, if there's something that I do and I'm talking on the mic,

I wouldn't be able to tell you that because I don't get the time to do that. I understand. I got unfortunately, like we've said, my close mouth hasn't gotten me anything. So I need to obviously change that. I'll ask you the question that I ask a lot of the NXT talent. When your day comes, when you move on, when you go to Raw or Smackdown, and I'm sure it will happen for you, who is your dream opponent at WrestleMania? A dream opponent at WrestleMania. Is it current roster or? You know what? You can tell me anybody from any time, but I also want a current roster name. Okay. So if my first person, I'll always say this person. So my first match ever in this business was against Jazz. If I could get Jazz at WrestleMania, like get that girl in New Paranise, like let's get her in the ring.

I've been in hardcore matches with Jazz. She hit hard. Yes, she does. And then she acts like she doesn't. Like when she's my trainer. And so she taught me everything I know, but she always reminds me. I taught you some of what I know, not all of what I know. And she said that to me right before we had our first match. And I was like, she's going to kill me. Tough woman. Tough woman. She is, yeah, like unbreakable. We love Jazz. Okay. Main roster, WrestleMania, dream opponent. Ding, ding, ding. Who are you looking at in front of 80,000 people? I would love to go against Chelsea Green. Love that answer. I would love to do that. I am a huge Chelsea mark. I've put her over from day one. Love it. Yeah, she is. What is it about Chelsea? What is it about Chelsea that you admire so much? She's a person.

She is so like, she is so relatable. She is like an actual human being. She has emotions, good ones, bad ones. And then she's just also kind of like unbreakable. I mean, not in the literal sense because her face is broken, but she just keeps going. And I feel like, I don't want to say like I look up to her, but I definitely see mirrors or slight resemblances in our careers as far as you do good work. And sometimes it's not always rewarded. And finally, I think she decided to take what's hers and look where that got her. So maybe I need to do that. And let's be honest, nobody makes a black eye look as good as Chelsea Green does. Chelsea can make Chelsea literally made trash bags look good. She can make anything look good. Chelsea makes Matt Cardona look good. I'm not going to comment on that.

Ren, I appreciate you coming on tonight. This has been a long time coming. I hope you do call in to bust it open tomorrow morning. I hope you do find yourself back on NXC soon. For the fans that follow you and the fans of your podcast and who watch on NXC, what message do you have for your fan base before you sign off tonight? Thank you for supporting me even when I kept my mouth shut. Now that my mouth is open, I hope you continue on this ride because I'm going to make you proud and I'm going to make you proud. We're not shutting it. When do you get to see Kendall again? I'll probably come and see her tomorrow just to check on her because again, I know the news she got today was not anything she actually wanted to hear. So she seems a little bit down. So they all bring her to speak. Everybody, I love cake. Everybody loves cats. Do you bake? No, but I eat.

We have that in common too. Catch the full three hours of busted open every day of the week at 9am Eastern on WWE Radio on Sirius XM Channel 156.
