2:08company. They they're one of those preps that really helps you sleep at night. And I've talked about that in the past, too. They're a preps that you do because it feel like you have to do them, they're a preps that you do because they help you sleep at night. So I'm going to bring on Tyler Medsker from survival scripts dot com. And he's going to join us for to eat broadcast. We're going to talk about what he has to offer. And apparently there are some secrets or some new things or some updates, right? How are you doing today, man? I'm doing great, man. How are you? I can't complain. It's a little overcast for a change here in Richmond. It's been just hot, you know what I mean? But I'll take it. I don't mind this summer. I thought you how are things in Texas? Good, good. I'm down the San Antonio area right now. It's a little muggy, but you know, it's okay. It's coming up central time here. So a little earlier. I appreciate you, man. I appreciate you waking up a little earlier for us today to talk about survival scripts.

3:09So I always have this bad boy close by. This thing followed me on vacation this year in the whole nine yards. And like I said, it's not with me, of course. Oh, do you? Oh, there you go, folks. That's proven to pudding. If the man brings this product on a with him, then you know, that's a big deal. So yeah, I've I've seen and had a few iterations of these kits. And the kit that I have is by far the most well outfitted. I've never seen any of these kits with what really blew me away about your kit is the the skin cream antibiotic and the eye drop antibiotic. You know what I mean? Those two things really surprised me. I opened the kid up. I went through everything and I was like, whoa, like, yeah, the eye dry. I have kids, you know what I mean? So you start thinking about infected skin and infected eyeballs. And you're like, oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. And that that really came from just what I've always personally had on me when I when I travel.

4:14Like me, Pearson, wait a minute. I mean, it's the best thing for any cut scrapes, wounds, anything like that. Even burn wounds that it'll help. And then the the syphrodrops disclaimer, we're not allowed to technically say that they do the treat swimmers here as well. But they're all right. I mean, it is the same as that medicine. So just then the the burn cream, the silvigin cream, and then the permethrin for you know, if you're camping, hiking, staying out in, you know, remote areas, getting the life skabies, things like that, you're going to have the supplies on you and the top goes are part of it. Yeah. People don't don't appreciate the burn situation. My kid just took a big spill down the hill on a skateboard two days ago. Pretty pretty rough. And yeah, I think it's his first experience with some road rash, you know what I mean. So he's like that like, oh yeah, okay, there's another level of

5:19pain here. And that's not infection, you know what I mean? Like we did everything here. But you know, you get into a situation where it burns like that can infect and that's easy, especially in, you know, if you're traveling or in an off-grid situation, right? Things get into those sticky, juicy burns easy. And that's that's a thing. And if you really, you know, historically sort of back up for the advent of modern medicine antibiotics and whatnot, I mean, the complication rate of any infection was crazy. And, you know, we take that for granted, right? We really, really do. And a lot of the reasons why we treat some infections are to prevent those complications down the road, like from strep throat. I mean, just the amount of things like with the scrawlet fever and then the heart conditions and the joint injuries that happen from it. It's just totally unnecessary

6:19now. And just because you travel and, you know, want to spend time away from, you know, sort of disconnected from all the resources, it doesn't mean you don't need access to, you know, help in that regard. So that's really our strategy is like, okay, there was a time where no one had any of this. And, you know, now there's a time where we have all of this. There's, of course, the concerns about antimicrobial resistance globally. But the gatekeeping that happens at least in this country compared to other countries is sort of what we're trying to work around. Because I think it's a little arbitrary and unnecessary. The steps people have to go through just to get a simple medicine. Yeah, we have so much protection and so many ways of treating infection effectively that our fear of antibiotics is like, what they call, what it's like a first world problem, right?

7:19It's truly is one of those like the epitome of a first world problem is like, we got to rethink these antibiotics that are saving everybody's life. Right. So I want to, and look, there are things to be concerned about. But, you know, they're to have a kid, you're not living out of a kid like this. You're not taking it every time you get a cough and a sneeze, right? And that's, yeah, the majority of the pushback on the idea in general, because it's somewhat of a newer idea with the advent of direct to consumer health care online is getting multiple medicines in a kit beforehand. Really, the pushback against it sort of assumes that people are just going to start taking the medicines as soon as they open their kit. But of course, yeah. What we always say is, you know, best case scenario, you don't have to take any of them. And if they're sitting in your pantry, they're not going to be contributing to antibiotic resistance that way. Can, right? Yeah. And probably better off in your pantry, because even if you go out of date,

8:23you're most, you're probably not likely to throw them away as quickly as a pharmacist, you know? Right. Right. And yeah, expert, we can get into expiration dates and that in a minute. But when it comes down to it, like, the origin of the company really came from my experience with travel medicine and preparing my own patients for when they go on cruises to high altitude, to overseas or on mission trips, especially with the cross to like malaria, peripheral axis, and all that. So that was sort of baked into my private practice, my brick and mortar practice. And then my other business partner, Steven, who can be on this morning, he, you know, he lived in Hurricane Katrina. And I was a little further north of Louisiana. And so I didn't see the extent of, you know, everything, like every support system you can imagine,

9:28just dropping off the face of the air immediately. And so that kind of spooked him into short, you know, needing to be prepared ahead of time for any situation. And we sort of merged those two schools of thought into a company that we eventually scaled to nationwide. Beautiful. 10:28you know, we don't have too many products to choose from. But if you just like, I don't even know where to start. Yeah, it'll help me narrow it down for you, especially if you have any allergies, amino and allergies to antibiotics. Yeah, that's a huge one. It'll sort of take those out. And as for the quiz purposes, just because we don't want, you know, people with a bunch of allergies automatically purchasing things that have those medicines in them, it sort of, it's a little more strict on the recommendation side. But if you do get a kit where you have a medicine that you're allergic to, the physician team we have, well, it'll flag it and they'll contact you and figure out a substitution for you. Yeah, that's huge, man. Yeah, that's that right there between that and the dosing information. Like I don't think people understand that's a part of the deal. You know, a lot of times people look at these kits, particularly in the prepping world as another thing that goes on the shelf and that's where it ends. But you do get aligned to another resource

11:34in terms of telehealth that, I mean, to me, it's invaluable because I get mixed, I feel like people I know who doctor a lot, older people who are, you know, doctoring a lot, they, one of the things that I think a lot of people would benefit from is just the second opinion on things, you know, of course, I mean, you know, I'm not, I'm not explaining survival scripts as a sort of open line telehealth operation to everybody who buys a kit. But, you know, there is that, there is that relationship there that you can develop by buying a kit, you know what I mean? And having access to another brain, you know, in terms of medical. So I don't know if you guys feel a lot of calls or not. People take a candidate to that. Well, I mean, it's typically like support emails where we'll get questions like that or though the physician team will get questions directly to the portal related to a specific medicine that someone has. Yeah, there's a men's value

12:36there. Yeah, you know, because you're typing your medical questions. Let's be honest. Most people are typing their medical questions if they're not consulting a doctor or if they're consulting a doctor and have concerns or typing their medical questions into a AI or a Google search or both or some amalgamation or YouTube, you know, so it's that's a scary world when you think about it. And the information is in all of those places. It's a matter of sorting it out, putting it in context and applying it to an individual situation that's why we have to go through all the training that we go through. Yeah, for someone like you who's trained, maybe you could make sense of all that. For someone who's never had any health issues and all of a sudden they've got, you know, something they have to contend with. They're probably looking at that like it's high-roglyphics. And that being part of when I travel, this is sort of the line in the sand where we're like, okay, we're going to really start this company is when I had the realization that

13:40I have an advantage when I travel, not only for the medicines that I have access to automatically, but you know, the knowledge sort of built into when and why to take those. And so we're trying to bridge that gap between that advantage I have and, you know, anybody's ability to prepare for whether they're traveling or not. And so we really did a lot of work on the instruction guide to make sure that it was as far as it could be. And when I really, it's the idea, you know, the first thing my business partner said who had, you know, he'd been their Katrina and he was already sort of minded in the preparedness way. He was like, oh, like Chase, like, oh, like who? And so it was sort of cool, man. That's kind of cool that you didn't know about any company doing

14:41this and you guys arrived at a similar solution. Yeah, yeah. And so when we took a look at them and some of the other guys and there's been a lot of people pop up since two years ago when that happened. What was really lacking to me was it was just like the sniff test of could I get this, could I explain this to a colleague and not have them just totally dismiss it, you know. Like it's a different kill or something. Yeah, like it's just like you're just handing out medicine without adequate resources to know, you know, what to do with it. What do your colleagues would look at it? How your colleagues would look at it would tell a lot, right? Yeah, yeah. And so I wanted it to, you know, if I were to look at it from an outside perspective, I wanted it, you know, to pass the sort of legitimacy test. And so that's why we have such a long instruction guide that comes with it. And getting a sort of edited version of that printed right now as well as a new digital version,

15:45which is one of the new updates that we have that'll be available and interactive. And so it'll be really cool. That's very cool, man.
