DAC - The Disciples And 9/11

This is Dave Jones, the NBC guy. Coming to you on this 25th anniversary of 9-11. Yeah, I feel I would be remiss if I didn't come on here and remember 9-11. 25 years later, I can't believe it's 25 years. The events are still vivid in my mind. And I would like to talk a little bit about them and a little bit about something else.

1:05So it was my eighth day on the job and I was in Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency. And I was learning how to take reports and all that kind of stuff. And we had a big screen TV where we watched CNN on one channel. And on the other channel, we watched the weather channel. And we saw the tower burning and the reports came in that a plane had hit the tower. And I said, boy, it must have been someone taking off had a heart attack. It couldn't have been a big plane and people were reporting, no, it was a big jet plane. And I said, well, they got radars that tell you pull up all this kind of stuff and safety things. And it couldn't have been a big plane.

2:09And we're watching the news reports and all this. And then we saw the second plane come in. And it's that image that you always see, that plane coming in. Because the cameras were focused on the burning tower. And you could see the plane coming from quite a distance out. And it was like it was in slow motion. When it hit, there was a moment of silence there. And it seemed like it took forever. But then it was just pure pandemonium, crazy. Get me the governor, get me the lieutenant governor. We're activating because we knew we were under attack. And I'm going down through this list of people I'm supposed to call and tell them we're activating. And on that list was a guy's secret service because in Harrisburg there's a federal building.

3:15And the secret service was there and we called. And the guy I'm talking to, yeah, we're activating. He says, hey, I got to let you go. My headquarters is calling and they're in the World Trade Center. And then a little while later in this whole process, Somerset County, this batch supervisor calls. And the call comes into my console. And the lady on the other end says, hey, I got it. Some guy on a cell phone says he's playing's being hijacked. What do we tell him? And while we're scrambling to get some kind of an answer back to her, she says never mind. We have reports of smoke on the ground. And of course the day we know that was flight 93.

4:16We went into full activation for three weeks straight because we went right from that to the anthrax thing. If you remember all this and activation was 12 hours on, 12 hours off. It was horrific. Just horrific. Anyway, six months later I was recalled active duty. And I was sent straight to the Middle East where I met my wife in Amon, Jordan. She was a lady from Romania. And years later I adopted her son from her first marriage. He went on to be in the Air Force six years in Mesawa, Japan.

5:20Now he's a software engineer for Amazon. I have two children from her which I never thought would happen. So 9-11 changed my life forever. And I remember the first anniversary of 9-11. I was in Qatar. And the word I was doing vulnerability assessments through sent-com. I was activated and brought on the active duty as a chemical weapons expert. And we traveled the Middle East doing these vulnerability assessments. And that day the word came out, don't go anywhere. Stay in your hotel. And I felt it was important that we all got together as a group.

6:20And remember 9-11, where were you? What happened? How did you find out? I think it's really, really important that this day that we get together with other people and talk about them. It's like our Pearl Harbor. World War II veterans will never forget where they were when they found out about Pearl Harbor. It's the same with 9-11. And now I'm going to bring this around to something else, something kind of unexpected. Because there are some sayers out there that say the New Testament of the Bible is all made up by a bunch of people that, you know, years after, years after the events happened. Well, years after the event of 9-11, it's vividly burned into my brain.

7:27I can recall everything. And for the disciples who witnessed the miracles, who traveled with Jesus, who were at the crucifixion and the resurrection. Yeah, they wrote their book years after. But it was just this vivid and just this poignant. So for the people out there that say, oh, they didn't write this or they couldn't, they couldn't, they couldn't have remembered 30 years later. I say no. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were all different people.

8:30They saw the events differently from different perspectives, but they saw the same events and they recounted them. And they did so on the penalty of death. You don't make up stories. You don't live on a lie and suffer the deaths that they did. So just like the events of 9-11 are still vividly available in our memories. For all those that have lived it, the same is true with the disciples. The difference is no one's going to ask me to recount my recollections under penalty of death.

9:36Anyway, I just thought I'd bring that to your attention. And it's good to sit down and remember where you were, what you were doing. Ben, the breaker of banksters last night's show, you should listen to that because he read an article that he wrote on the 15th anniversary. And that was very, very, there are questions, there are questions, even the commission had questions. But I'm telling you why that building fell down. Over 300 firefighters died that day. The island of Manhattan was evacuated. No one was going to respond to that building.

10:36No one did. And it fell down. I don't think there was a... this is my own opinion. I don't think there was a grand conspiracy. I think there was a lack of response, justifiably so. If you remember the evacuation that took place, people with private boats were going to the shores of Manhattan. And then just picking up whoever they could and taking them to, I guess, New Jersey, New Jersey side, I'm not sure. But they were ferrying people across and they went back and forth, back and forth. Just everybody.

11:38Anyway, PBN family, that's my thought on 9-Eleven. I wanted to make it a little different than years past. I hope I did that. This 25th anniversary, we should never forget. Because for 25 years, I've been searching for the Muslim peacekeeper. The Muslim person that stands up and preaches peace among fellow humans. I haven't found him yet. I have not found him. You know, the Martin Luther King of the Muslim faith. Well, apparently there is no tolerance, no forgiveness, no peace.

12:43Just saying. And if I'm wrong on this, if the Muslim faith is a religion of peace, I've yet to find it. Anyway, take care and prep on. Thank you.
