Plans are in motion for a new drive-through restaurant and convenience store on unused grassland and keyboard bowsham, Lestershire. Developer Manor Oak Holmes has submitted the application to Harborough District Council for the site west of Warwick Road. The project covers about three acres and includes parking, new access points, pedestrian pass, and up to 12 electric vehicle charging spots plus. Disable parking. The land previously had approval for mixed commercial and retail uses, but it has sat overgrown for years. Local growth has brought more than 1,000 new homes to the area over the past 20 years, with another 475 planned in. The coming local plan. Residents and officials have raised worries about extra traffic from the development. The site sits amid expanding neighborhoods, which could mean more cars on local roads. No specific brand has been named for the drive-through yet, but the developers say talks with operators are underway and a deal could follow approval.
