My Strange Relationship with Freedom (blog post)

In this episode, I read one of my popular blog posts. It’s titled: My Strange Relationship with Freedom. It’s from January of 2022, sixteen months after I had left my Midwestern hometown to go live in a Florida beach town. 

When I arrived back in May of 2020, I was about to get my PhD, I didn’t have a job, and I felt anxiety about using the money from the sale of my home until I could figure out what to do. Oh, and it was the beginning of covid.

I was so lost. I was having an inner battle with my need to know how things would go, and this was what turned out to be my life lesson: to surrender to not knowing how the rest of my life was going to go. To not have a plan and to trust my life would unfold in the right way. Yikes! 

And then I had this moment. That’s what the post is about.
