I know you were kind of out and about on Sunday, but did you catch any of the games? The Giants Cowboys game, which is always a good rivalry to watch. Yeah. That would be about it. I was locked into the Saints and the Lions because it came on like it was only the last two minutes that I was able to watch. And amazing ending over time, all of that stuff. The answer is very likely. And I guess I can't say we're going to start bombing another country. We're just going to probably bomb it more. But if you missed the headlines over the weekend,

2:01it might sound unrelated. But in Yemen, they've been going through a civil war for like 10 years. The faction of the Yemeni army that is backed by Iran took over a base of the faction of the Yemeni government that is backed by Saudi Arabia. Okay, so they have their civil war, those are the two backers of each faction. And the reason this is such a big deal is because the base they were able to take over is very close to giving them access to closing off parts of the Red Sea. And on top of that, there's a faction of the Iraqi army that is backed by Iran as well. And they have forced Saudi Arabia to basically close one of their pipelines down. So Saudi Arabia is having a very tough time between the Red Sea, the straight of four moves, and this pipeline exporting the only thing they export, which is oil, which is causing our prices to go up. And now the Saudi Arabian government is asking the US to step in and bomb their enemies in Yemen even more than we have already.

3:01So it looks like the war that we started with Iran could spread now. And at some point, there's going to be a time where we have to ask if this is actually a world war because of how many countries are involved. This is quite literally breaking news because it just popped up in my inbox as we were recording this podcast. So like bear with me here. If you get prescription medication from international pharmacies, a Canadian pharmacy because it's much cheaper, you need to stock up on your prescriptions and your refills now. Why? Because the US government is going to block international prescription shipments starting next month. So for example, I had to order a medication through a Canadian pharmacy because it was $800 for me in the US and 80 in Canada. And then the same thing for our cat Max, her asthma medication, her inhaler, I think it was like, I don't know, less than a hundred bucks from Canada for like two things of it.

4:03And in the US, they were telling me it's going to be I think $1,400. So the email I got that says if you rely on international pharmacy for affordable medication, place your order now and stock up this specific place that is emailing me, it's Canada pharmacy online says you need to place all available refills and other orders immediately and well in advance of October 22nd. Entry into the US for these prescriptions will be prohibited if the medication being imported is commercially available in the United States. So now if it's not available, technically the shipment should still go through. But even if it costs significantly more in the US, they are going to block your shipment from getting here. So virtually all prescription medication parcels will be prohibited from entering the US beginning October 22nd of next month. And as we've seen with the government, they can claim this and then walk it back like four days later. It's still a breaking story, but something definitely to be aware of.

5:04Also, I just I had up that there is an American nonprofit advocacy group you can reach out to. It's the campaign for personal prescription importation. So if you need help, they're the people to reach out to. How about a little geography pop quiz for your Monday morning? Okay. What are the four independent countries that make up the United Kingdom? 6:06getting together to see if they would like to vote for their absolute independence, leaving the United Kingdom ununited and not really a kingdom. Oh, my God. So this will most likely not happen. I believe they had a similar vote about 10 years ago. So it's one of these things that pops up pretty often. But that is the thing that is on the table. The city of Denver is suing the White House for something they haven't done yet. It's a preemptive lawsuit to prevent armed ICE agents from being deployed to polling places during November's midterm elections. Now the administration has already said that ICE is not planning to patrol polling places. But the Department of Homeland Security said ICE will show up to polling places if there's a security threat or agents are serving a warrant. So they're giving themselves an out of being like, we can show up. Maybe we will. Maybe we won't.

7:06So this lawsuit is trying to prevent them from showing up at all. Right now it seems like Denver is the only place doing this. But we'll see. A quick reminder. It's not all doom and gloom. Here's today's hope for humanity. Shout out to the greatest city in America, New York City. Because this eight months, the first eight months of the year have been the safest eight months to begin a year in New York City's history. But keep in mind, if this sounds like we've been mentioning how safe New York is, it's because they keep breaking safety records. And all of the numbers you're going to hear are actually lower than last year, which was the safest year in New York City's history. So they keep breaking the same records. But here's what I love the most because anytime you bring up New York City, someone inevitably, it's like never been to a city goes, yeah, but the subways. Here's what I love. Not only did major crime decline 6.6% across the city, but according to their press release, the NYPD says they have delivered record low violent crime in the subway system with zero

8:12shooting incidents, zero shooting victims, zero murders or rapes for the entire month of August. This is following months and months and months of very safe New York City living. Now do these numbers mean that nothing bad ever happens in New York? No. No, it's a city of 8 million people who live there and about another 10 that come into either visit or work. That's entirely too many Americans in one place to be trusted. But it does show that our biggest city can be a shining light in reforming safety and making it safe for all of its citizens.
