About this episode
Next month, a very special fundraiser will begin in memory of a little girl who touched the hearts of so many.
Ronan Flanagan from Ennis is preparing to walk across Ireland — from his home in Ennis to Crumlin Children’s Hospital in Dublin — a journey his family made countless times during his daughter Mia’s treatment.
Mia was just five years old when she sadly passed away in February last year after battling leukaemia.
Through this walk, Miles for Mia, Ronan and his wife Ruth hope to honour her memory while raising vital funds for charities that support children with cancer and their families.
Ronan and Ruth joined Alan Morrissey in studio to tell us about Mia, the journey ahead, and why this walk means so much to them.
