• AIPAC has spent $30 million backing Haley Stevens, a corporatist Democrat, for a Senate seat from Michigan — their largest spend ever in a single race — as they seek to defeat progressive Abdul El-Sayed in the Aug. 4 primary. It’s become Ground Zero in the Civil War in the Democratic Party. Meanwhile, Israel’s genocide is instilling panic among House Democrats, who fear they may be ousted next if they don't take a more hostile posture toward Israel.

• At least two U.S. troops were killed over the weekend in an Iranian attack on a U.S. base in Jordan, and another is listed as MIA. A third died in Iraq after "a controlled detonation" of an Iranian drone. Four Iranian attacks in five days on U.S. forces in Jordan have also left dozens wounded, raising questions about whether missile defense systems failed to intercept or even detect the incoming fire.
