Meta's AI bots wrongly ban thousands of Australians

Meta's AI safety tools have incorrectly banned thousands of innocent Australians from their social media accounts. Cases include a skincare business wrongly accused of selling illegal prescription medications and photographer Mary Miller who lost access to all her accounts, including her photography business, after Meta's bots flagged her daughter's artwork page as underage. The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman is calling on the federal government to expand her jurisdiction to include digital platforms as affected users remain trapped in endless chatbot appeal loops with no human oversight.
