Mary Danielsen: A Generous Spirit

Today Mary looks at a pivotal passage in Acts 16. We lay a groundwork of gratitude and thankfulness which are to mark our days on this earth. This is part of who we must be, to reflect to a lost and dying world our gratitude for the provision of salvation. If we are not thankful and filled with hope, who will be?  Then we widen the lens and talk about Lydia and her testimony. The book of Acts is loaded from beginning to end not only with the history of the church and the Jew/Gentile paradigm, but contains patterns of living and dying we need to hear about even in 2025. Applications abound, and Lydia’s story is no exception. Plus: on this Paul’s 2nd missionary journey, we find a world-altering event that even Paul couldn’t have planned for.
