Man Dies in Standoff, Shoots at Cops, Drone, Sets House on Fire

0:00A man died in a tense early morning standoff with Anchorage police on Saturday around 3.27 a.m. at a home on Shore Circle in South Anchorage officers say he fired a high-powered rifle at them tried blasting a police drone out of the sky and then set the house on fire. Neighbors made four frantic calls reporting gunshots some thinking shots hit their homes or that the guy was moving around outside cops got there in about 30 minutes fell under fire right away and sent up the drones a calm things down before it all escalated. One officer fired three or four rounds after the suspect broke a window and shot back watching him drop right then flame shot up from the house which police believe he started himself turning the scene into a major safety headache no cops or bystanders got hurt and folks nearby woke up to the chaos but stayed safe police had answered calls to that address before but they're keeping details tight for now.
