2:00Femya, I am doing incredibly well. Round of 32 Saturday. We are, of course, a conversation around the 2026 bends and C-K-8 tournament has been for a second consecutive year, a lack of Cinderella. And the glass slipper already being on a lack of upsets. But that means some really good matchups into the second round. And of course, as we look forward to the second weekend, my friend, it sounds rather loud, where you are right now at the D-Sidebar, Canada. What is the contingent looking like? Is it MSU, go green, go white fans? Is it some college making their way from Louisville? What's the scene like when I know is a very busy and energetic weekend in Las Vegas? For those who don't know, the D is short for Detroit Michigan. This is a Michigan state crowd. I know there's some people that are rooting for their bets. Maybe they got some Louisville first to 10, which did not get home, by the way. That's a Michigan state. Maybe they got some Louisville plus five and a half or maybe even Louisville money line. But this is a Michigan state crowd. This is a spartee party literally here at the D

3:03in Bar Canada. As I got some gentleman to me to my right, rocking some Michigan state apparel, locked in on the game in Buffalo, New York between Michigan state and Louisville. And usually what I'm doing the show here at Bar Canada at the D, usually the cheers are coming from Sigma Derby. That's usually what's happening. Sigma Derby is off to my left. And oh, by the way, Sigma Derby is packed because it's always packed. That's just kind of what if people are into the Sigma Derby. But today, now they're locked in on the game that we have going on in Buffalo between Louisville and Michigan state, a very, very interesting game that is underway between the Cardinals and the Spards. But we got our whole crew here with us at the D in Bar Canada. Our producer pressed a sigh on the ones and twos as always. And we have a fun show on deck for you guys over these next three hours. Because at 4 30 Eastern time, we'll be joined by our recent teammate, college basketball, Aficionado, none other than Greg Hoops Peterson as Hoops will gather give us his thoughts on all things March madness. Then at 5 30 Eastern time during the final hour

4:06of live mid Saturday, the founder of SEC unfiltered, Chris Phillips will check in to give us his thoughts on today's second round slate in the NCAA tournament. A lot of SEC teams left your bend in the conference where it just means more a lot of games to get to with our buddy Chris Phillips coming up at 5 30 Eastern time. But we've already seen one game go final on this second round Saturday. And it should be no surprise, given that we're off to a chalky start here in the NCAA tournament that the number one seeded Michigan Wolverines out of the Midwest region dispatch of the St. Louis Billikins 95 72. I was on slow. I bet the 12 in a half, I thought they could keep things competitive. I think St. Louis is a really good team. And at times in the game, we saw that. But Michigan was just way too much. Their size, their length, their athleticism, overwhelmed the Billikins in the second half and they get it done, covering the number and winning by margins. Yeah, they did win by margin and they did cover that number as an 11 1 1 1 2 1 1 1 1 2 point favorite family.

5:07It's been a theme that we have seen now the last two years in the NCAA tournament, including Michigan's victory, the first in the round of 32 across the big dance. Favorites of eight plus points since the 2025 big dance began now 42 and one straight up. Of course, yesterday was history. For the first time since 1992, all 16 favorites in the round of 64 go unblemished outright. And we're 12 and four against the number. A 23 point win for Michigan. That means so far, family. That 14 of the 33 total matchups in the 2026 NCAA tournament decided by at least 20 points. All to say, it is chalky right here right now in the turning, which is what we largely anticipated being the case once again in 2026. As you looked at those advanced analytics and metrics and this has been a Michigan team that has performed in dominant fashion all year long. The 15th win for Dusty Mays, Mays and Blue by at least 20 points this year.

6:08And the big 10 player of the year in Yaxxel-Lendaborg for the 25 points going to be very difficult family to beat this Michigan team. If that is the output as we saw in full display in the first game today in Buffalo. I mean, you talk about dropping the hammer. Yaxxel-Lendaborg early on in the second half with the dunk of the tournament up to this point. I mean, hello, that'll get you out of your seat regardless what side you bet that one. I'm on the billockings. I'm like, yo, like Yaxxel, settle down big fella. He was tremendous in the game and the Wolverines were tremendous. But I want to get to where you started here. It's talking about the trend of the favorites covering the number, the favorites winning outright. I mean, going back to Evan Abrams with the action network, put out this stat, like the last two years, favorites of six plus points, 52 and four straight up in the NCAA tournament. Like, if teams are expected to win, which six points are higher, you would expect that team to win as they're favored by multiple possessions. They're getting it done. We are not saying the underdog win outright. Some of them cover, but to win outright, it's not happening.

7:11And I'm someone who likes to bet underdogs on the money line in the NCAA tournament. Given it's a one off, there's a lot of pressure for these higher seeds to get done. It's, it's a lot, but we're not seeing that. We all have our reasons as to why in our theories. I think it's pretty clear that we all agree that the NIL and the transfer portal is what has led to these chalky tournaments that we've seen dating back to last season. But I mean, I don't really know if there's a fix to it. I don't even know if anything is even broken. It's just different than what we all came up with. And as better as out there, it's better that we adjust rather than just kind of keep our head in the sand and talk about how the tournament once was. I think it's a really good point you bring up right there, Femi, because it's how we evaluate things now. We can still enjoy the round of 64 and the rest of the NCAA tournament, despite it being very different than a tournament that has often been defined by its madness. Maybe that madness is not so much a Cinderella or an upset early, but awesome games

8:11into the sweet 16 Elite eight and final four as we saw on full display a year ago. I think many though, the casual college basketball observer and basically anybody that likes sports roots for the underdog. The thing that is not expected to happen, that does. It is magical, it is meaningful. We can all get behind that type of storyline. Maybe that diminishes just a little bit. I think there are a few reasons why as you alluded to. At IL, the transfer portal era, a new climate in college sports and certainly in college basketball has that on full display. And it majors that used to be able to identify that smaller talent that maybe did not get the look from the larger program is now frankly gone because you can identify that for a second time in the transfer portal. For instance, the actual lender board, 25 points today, big 10 player of the year, played as college basketball at UAB just a season ago. You see that talent, you elevate basically through the ranks of college shoots. But I don't just think it is talent-themed moving its way up in college basketball.

9:14A guy by the name of Kevin Irkhardt. And I apologize if I am mispronouncing Kevin's last name. I thought said something that was really interesting today on Twitter. Maybe one of the unsung components of this narrative of there being a lack of upsets and a ton of chalk in the big dance is the style that we see. You and I discuss it constantly. We mentioned three point rate. We mentioned adjusted pace in tempo. That used to be a thing that mid majors had to do because of inferior talent or smaller, least less athletic guys. They had to shoot a ton of threes. They had to be efficient from beyond the arc where guys in bigger programs were relying on their size, their length, their athleticism, focusing more defensively. We basically see everybody now play fast and shoot a ton of threes. The idea of a three pointer being far more efficient than a mid-range jumper or anything that is not a layup or a dunk has really become prevalent all around the nation throughout 365 D1 men's college basketball programs.

10:16So if that used to be the great equalizer for the underdog and Cinderella, but now the bigger programs recognize that and do it too, there's really not the distinctions that we used to have. So I think it's a combination of a ton of things, but I do not think it makes this wonderful two and a half week run. We know as the NCAA tournament any less valuable or at least any less fun to enjoy as a better and as a college basketball fan. And I think what you described there been is kind of what happened in baseball, isn't it? With saber metrics and money ball and all that stuff, you know, like the Oakland A's there edge and it's similar to betting as well. Like you might find an edge and you bet into that edge and you're just like, oh, I'm making all this money. And then when that edge becomes public, other people do it as well. It's now baking to the market and now you no longer making money and are no longer profitable with that edge. Money ball, saber metrics, Billy Bean, one of the first to adopt it, the A's are doing more with less. Well, then all of a sudden, the big market team said, huh, we should do that. We should value on base percentage. We should value walks.

11:17We should value things like that. And then now Oakland has been, or I guess when there's not about to be Las Vegas, they're not irrelevant, they're not a good team. They don't make the playoffs anymore. And it just feels like we have gotten smarter and I don't want to use the word solved because basketball's a dynamic game. But it feels like a lot of the analytics and a lot of the numbers and all that underlying stuff has sort of solved the sport of basketball. These are the shots you should be taking. These are the shots you shouldn't be taking. If we're all doing the same thing, talent will win at the end of the day. And that's why talent is winning at such a high level where you're seeing one, two and three and four seeds going unscathed in the first weekend of the tournament unless they're playing each other, which in the case the four or five match of the one, two's in the threes, I'm sure we'll see them coming up next weekend. Yeah, absolutely family. Again, think about this just a few years ago. Nate Oates, the head coach at Alabama, was a revolutionary because of what he was doing at Buffalo. They played faster than anybody. They shot more thirties than anybody. More than half of their field goals came from deep.

12:20We mentioned it all the time. The best teams in the country have the highest three point rates. Now basically everybody at the higher levels is taking nearly 50 to 51% of their field goal attempts from three is proliferated around the sport. And that is changing a big way in just about three to four years. To your point, Louisville, so far today, they've taken 20 shots, 14 of them have been three pointers. We are at the under 8 media time out in the first half between Louisville and Michigan State in Buffalo, Spardy Party with a 27 19 lead against the Cardinals. This is live bet Saturday, Femi, Ben, Steve, and hanging out with the guys here on V-San. Looking at the live spread right now over at DraftKings, their Spartans are laying 8.5 total, 151.5. There's total close around there. So we're pacing where we should be in terms of the scoring, but as for the side, it's been all Spardy Party. And Ben, I know you laid it. I did not bet this game. You know how I feel about January, February, Izzo. Didn't think that this one was going to be the spot to fade him. So I said, you know what, I'll be on the sidelines.

15:24It may be a live betting opportunity presents itself, which is what this show is all about, but as for you, you got to be liking what you're seeing so far from the guys in white and green. Yeah, I really do like what I am seeing right now from Michigan State. It's a team I believe in defensively first. And as I think we saw in the opening round of 64 for Louisville up by 23, midway through that second half to make it a game against South Florida because of 22 turnovers in the absence of Mike Kelbrow, Jr. I just thought it would be too much for Louisville to overcome against this MSU team, who shot nearly 60% from the floor, including 50% from deep against North Dakota State in the round of 64, did not feel like the Bison had much of an advantage against Michigan State and we saw that there for Spardy. And they're off to a great shooting first half again, 10 of 19 overall Femme, only eight attempted threes, but they've made five that is 16, 3%. We literally talked about why Cinderella is not as prevalent in the big dance or why the upsets are not happening or close in competitive games,

16:25like we all are hoping for in the NCAA tournament and mentioned three point rate. Louisville does that. Pat Kelsey did it at Charleston. He has carried it over into his second year in Louisville, Kentucky. They have the fourth highest three point rate in the country. Very simply, 53% of the overall feelable attempts for the cards come from deep on average. Femme, today they are seven or 22 from the floor, 22 feelable attempts, 14 three point attempts and they've only made three triples. If Louisville is not going to be hitting, you're a 35 to 38% quip from deep today against this Michigan State Stout defense, I don't think they have much of a chance. Now it's only an eight point game. There's still six and a half minutes remaining here in the first 20 minutes, but that's why I laid four to half with Michigan Stateline opened early on Thursday night at three and a half in favor of the Spartans, closed at five and a half prior to tip. I know you liked the joke about January, February, and then April. Tom iso has led Michigan State to a 16 and five record

17:27in the round of 32 MSU seeking its 17th trip to the sweet 16 under Tom iso. Yeah, you know, I'll say this now, candidly, I have respect for Tom iso. I think that people have too much respect. That's where my pushback is with January, February, is a great coach, 100% like numerous final four appearances, although only one national title, if we're keeping it a buck, only one national title and that national title, I was back in like the fifth grade. So that's all I'm saying with January, February iso, like the title's a little bit dusty. Let's actually get it done in April, but you know, got to give him his props, at least in the early going of this first half against Louisville. Once again, Michigan State with a 27 19 lead against Louisville. So we're now back down to five and a half, which was the closing spread between these two teams. But I want to kind of continue this conversation about the three point volume. Because we have a couple of number one seeds in Arizona and Florida where you could say the three point arc is a big question mark for them. And with a lot of teams playing this brand at basketball, and I know we saw Arizona yesterday, they were tremendous Florida. I mean, second largest margin of victory in an NCAA tournament game in the history of the tournament. But if there is a point that you can kind of nitpick Florida on, they don't shoot the three point or well.

19:28Or if you want to nitpick Arizona, they don't shoot enough of three, enough of the three pointers. Do you think that ends up being a problem earlier than expected for those two top seeds? Because this is a, I think, a key kind of breaking point here, potentially for those teams. So let's talk about it, Femi, because I think you bring up a great point. Arizona has the third lowest three point rate of 365 D1 men's college basketball programs, and yet are a one seed. And of one more games against AP top 10 teams than any team in the country in college basketball this year. But Tommy Lloyd and his cast 26.7% of their field goals come from deep. That's it. Again, the third fewest three point attempts, at least in comparison to overall field goal tries in the country this year. Florida entered the NCAA tournament of our 68 teams with the worst three point shooting percentage, just a tick above 31% and only take about 37% of their three point

20:29or other field goal attempts from beyond that three point are. I do not think because of how supremely talented they are in every single other component. It catches up with them in a round of 64 game. Of course, one versus 16. Perhaps not even in a round of 32 game for either of these two teams. Where I think, Femi, it could be an issue against incredibly efficient teams in the sweet 16 elite in perhaps even final four. If you are playing a team like Michigan, like in Illinois in that South region, for instance, for Florida who can get up and down has the most efficient offense. We have ever seen in the nearly three decades of the can of harm era and you are trailing like the Gators could potentially be. Can you rely on enough offensive spark, especially from three point range, to get you back into that game? That would be my question, Femi, later in the NCAA tournament. I do not think it gets four to got in the round of 32 against Iowa and correct me if I am mistaken.

21:30Arizona will play Utah State. I do not believe that gets them got in the West region tomorrow in the second round either. Later, potentially, at least if they are trailing in said basketball games early on, I still think there is such a large distinction between what the Gators and the Cats want to do and every component outside of the three point shot, they are far superior. I don't know if there's a race to 30 bet Ben, but the folks are very happy that Michigan State has reached 30 before Louisville has. As the Spartans are up 30, they've got to be erased. Or it must just be maybe because it's a four point play, because he just did knock down at three point from the top of the key, plus the foul, and we'll be taking a free throw when we come back from the under four media timeout. But it is Michigan Stateway 30 to 23 lead, laying seven and a half. Total is ticked down now. Once again, close 151 and a half. Now we're down to 147 and a half here. But I mean, just looking at the box score, it's like, you take a look at this thing. It's like, all right, Michigan State, making 50% of their threes.

22:32Louisville making 19% of their threes. If this continues heading into the halftime locker room, I might be inclined to dabble a little bit on the Louisville Cardinals, just banking on some potential positive regression from Louisville in the final 20 minutes of play. I know it doesn't have to regress. Sometimes you just have a cold game, and maybe that's what it is. But I think oftentimes from a live betting standpoint, you do get that team that at least plays much better once they've been able to go into the locker room and say, all right, guys, take a beat, breath, relax. Let's just play our game and all of a sudden the shots start to fall. Yeah, no doubt about it, family. It's very simple. If Louisville is going to shoot the three ball worst, Michigan State in this matchup, Pat Kelsey and his Cardinals have zero chance, but you can expect some regression to the mean in a positive way. 16-3 point tries, 29 overall field goals. That's around their 52.7% three point rate, fourth highest and fourth most frequent in a country this year, but they've only made three triples as Femi alluded to,

23:33Michigan State is shooting 50% from three, as Trey Fort just capitalized on as we get to the under four minute media time out. We'll have the attempt for a four point play to put MSU up by eight. But if this game is still around two or three possessions, ten points or fewer, family, by the time we hit the break and Louisville is shooting this poorly, there could be some buyback at a much larger number than our pregame five and a half point spread, or at least we're at opened at three and a half in favor of the Spartans. When I laid the four and a half last night with Tom Ezzo in company, I wasn't expecting a Michigan 23 point route of St. Louis. I thought this game would probably be decided by that eight to ten range, so I wanted to jump on four and a half before I expected the market to continue to work its way up, which it has. But Louisville is talented enough in plays the game in the style that we were seeing right now shooting enough threes there within striking distance of basically anybody they play, even if they trail by a pretty hefty deficit earlier. Yeah, and we'll see how this the remainder of this first half plays out. And of course, the second half, which we will be here for all of this game.

24:36And let's go to triple overtime. Who knows? Maybe we'll push everything back. It's some of the other games that we have. But we're guessing that we will be able to be on the air for this entire game between Louisville and Michigan State. We have a very, very fun slate on deck for you guys tonight. I mean, TCU Duke by 15 Eastern time A&M versus Houston at 610. Texas Gonzaga, we both have bets in that game. VCU Illinois Vanderbilt Nebraska. And then the potential loan Cinderella in this NCAA tournament. 12 seated high point taking on John Calipari and four seated Arkansas razor backs. 26:43I am not one of those people, but his team is playing well. As they have a 36-30 lead against Louisville live spread, seven and a half total, 149 and a half, although as we were headed to break in Buffalo, New York, it's the Spartans called for a shot clock violation. So as well as things have been going for Michigan State here and as poorly as it's been going for Louisville, which is probably a better way to describe it. There's a chance here that the Cardinals might be only down four, maybe three points, heading in a halftime, which I think for Pat Kelsey and that crew, they would take that as a win based on how this game started. Fermi, I think you laid it out beautifully right there. Again, stylistically, this is as awful as Louisville can do what they want to do. 52.7% of their feeble attempts on average this year from deep in the opening round against South Florida. They had 27 two-point shots in 25-3-point attempts in what turned out to be a really close and competitive game against the Bulls because Louisville, despite a second half lead of 23 points, committed 22 turnovers.

27:43Today only five turnovers. MSU with one of the best point guards in the country and Jeremy Fears Jr. does have nine, which is why Thomas O was not so happy with his huddle for a shot clock violation working as 18 turnover. But Louisville has taken 18-3s and they have only made four. Fermi, if this is going to be a multiple possession game, two or three possessions at the break. And Louisville is shooting 22% from three when Michigan State is shooting better than 50%. And they're only down by six to eight points in the pregame spread, which was five and a half is seven and a hook like it is live right now or eight and a half. I do believe there could be a buyback spot on the cards. Now, I have invested in Michigan State minus four and a half overnight in terms of that pregame number. But if you awaited for that live opportunity and Louisville keeps this in the final 42 seconds of the first half, rather competitive, could be a buyback spot on the Cardinals as a larger underdog at the break despite an underwhelming first half shooting the basketball for Louisville.

28:43I think that's where my strategy is going to be with this game. Going into it, I knew I was never going to bet Michigan State just because I thought they were probably just priced appropriately. Louisville, I didn't want to take five and a half or so. I was like, you know what? It just feels right. But if I could get this seven and a half number in the second half or even if it's at six and a half based on how things have gone from beyond the art for the Cardinals, I'm going to find myself on Louisville at halftime like that is a bet like the app will be being like, you know what? Let's pull it up right now. Let's do it now. Once again, we call this on the phone, punching in your password and information to bring up your sports betting app. And of course, I got an error because that's how things go when you do this live on the air. But hey, this is live bet saturday. This is not tape bet saturday. We are we are live in an effect. All right, in game. Let's see where we're at. Okay, so we have to refresh. I think it's going to wait until we get to halftime as he split the free throw. So Michigan State has a chance to go up maybe seven or eight here at the break is it's 36 31 with 16 seconds ago.

29:50I believe Tom is or just call the time out because he wants to drop something really good to to steal some more points here before the end of the half. But as I log back into my accounts, I am intrigued by Louisville because like this is bad as poorly as they'll shoot and Michigan State in fairness is a good team in terms of defending the three point arc. But based on what I'm seeing, this feels like more mishots than anything is like, I don't think Michigan State is out here really harassing them to that degree to where they're causing this mishots. I think Louisville's just not knock it down their threes. And you'll see it often, Femi with really good defenses that Michigan State presents. They've got two guys down low and Carson Cooper and Jackson Kohler that are incredibly disciplined and hard to score against down in the interior and on the post. So when you have a really efficient defense that keeps things pretty sound inside the three point arc, they'll let you shoot the three. And by allowing you to shoot the three ball, it's not always like, oh, that's a wide open great look cash. It's a contested shot or a shot late in the shock off because you didn't really have any other option in terms of your offensive set.

30:52But Michigan State does allow about a 46% opponent three point rate for Louisville who takes the fourth most threes in the country. You would think that would be right into their plan. It hasn't necessarily worked that way for Louisville, but there is a chance here at the break. Again, down by five in the closing seconds. We are under 10 here in the opening half. Generally, if you're a junior trying to set something up for MSU, whatever play Tom is a call. That wasn't necessarily it is curting Mrs. Short on the final three point attempt of the first half. And despite the cards being just four of 18 from three in the first 20 minutes, they only trail by five at the break in the round of 32 in Buffalo, New York. So family getting that live and updated number. It's back down to just a six and a half point spread. Closing number was five and a half in favor of Michigan State. Our total pregame was 151 and a half. It's down by only a couple of buckets to 146 and a half live at the break. So you lost maybe just a tad bit of value on Louisville because Michigan State was empty on their final possession of the first half.

31:54But again, I think you are getting a better number on the cards despite an awful 20 minutes for one of the best three point shooting teams in the country. I'm seeing it right now at Caesars. They have seven and a half minus one 15. So I am betting that literally right. Wait, hold on. What just happened? Hold up. It's a now it's minus 140. Come on. What is happening here? All right, listening to you. I mean, honestly, for family and benefit to your for his own good. I would love to give myself that kind of credit, but we are now down to six and a half minus 110. Let's let me wait for Serkin to go ahead and load in there. I'm going to have a second half number because you got a shop around. We talk about that all the time. Like Vison pro tips shop around. See if you can get the best of the number because the the circuit in game is no longer up because I believe they're getting ready to put up the second half number. So I will wait to see so I can just go get a comparison. I don't want to buy one at one place and all of a sudden kind of gotten a better number elsewhere. But the bet will be placed during this segment here is I am refreshing this like a theme on the circuit.

32:54Yeah. This is this is live betting folks. Come on. If the half just ended, I'm like, Hey, this is a standalone fellas. Like let's get the number up. All right. I go, this is going to be locked and loaded. Like when you're ready for live betting, you got to make sure that thing is the widget is as good as it can be. So I appreciate what you are trying to accomplish at this moment. And I hate you know, I love our friends at circus. Obviously, we love them. I'm just I'm just waiting for this to come up. I just need my second half number. Here we go. Second half. So Louisville catching two in the second half, which is pretty much plus eight for the game. Sorry, the plus seven. Excuse me because they're down by five. I will take that. So boom. So Louisville plus two in the second half minus one 10 is my bet. We are locked in. That's why you wait folks. Patience. It's a virtue. I might say got a little bit better than six and a half minus one 10. I'll take seven minus one 10 to where if we land on seven, we don't lose money. So that's where we sit right now. I'm officially in you ladies at four and a half is what you laid.

33:58Four and a half for Michigan State. So let's open to three and a half very late on Thursday when we knew this would be the second round matchup in Buffalo. I jumped in yesterday at four and a half. It closed. Of course, pre flop at five in a hook in favor of this part. Let's go ahead and land Michigan State five or six is what we're rooting for here on live bet Saturday. And we call that everybody wins. That's what we call that one, which is a fun game to play. That is some might say the best game to play everybody wins, but I am now invested not a big bet. Just something I wanted to sweat here and also to just like looking at it and watching the game and just looking at the box score and the shooting splits. Like this isn't just a bet to sweat. This is also a bet because I actually believe in the side that Louisville gets in positive regression from three point range. Should be able to get back into this one or at least make this even a little bit closer of a contest than what it all ready is. So that's where we sit right now between Louisville and Michigan State at the half. We're coming up on a break in about a minute, but we can obviously continue to have this conversation on the other side.

35:01That's where at halftime right now in Buffalo. Yeah, we have four remaining double digit seats 12. See the high point 11. See the VCU 11. See the Texas and 10. See the Texas A&M. Do you give any of those teams a fighting chance to get to the second weekend and get it done outright either today or tomorrow on Sunday? Simply stated, Femi, no. The one I want to believe in the most is high point. And it's not just because they have Cinderella slipper on at the moment. I love VCU champions of the eight and not quite the Cinderella, the Rams are in that league versus Illinois as high point is against John Calipari and Arkansas. But we have talked about that portion of the bracket between where Wisconsin drew in the West region with their 12 matchup against high point. Arkansas against Hawaii in this presumed round of 32 game. However, you want to slice it with similar styles. High point plays fast gets after the basketball loves to shoot the three chase.

36:03Johnston has become a March star before our very eyes and has all the makings of it. Arkansas, fish and offensively. Arkansas top 20 in plate pace. Arkansas wants to take care of the basketball. High point mirrors that as they did with Wisconsin. If there is any team that I think can pull off a stunner, it might be the champions of the big South. Yeah, I'm in agreement. 38:07Absolutely phenomenal weekend. It's been a chalky weekend, but hey, it's fun nonetheless. But as we were wrapping up the last segment and heading to break, we were talking a little bit about the four double digit seeds that we still have remaining in this NCAA tournament. Because usually every year you get a double digit seed that makes it to the sweet 16 gets into the second round and gets to where the glass slippers and be known as Cinderella. This year, you know, it's not your traditional Cinderella's. We're talking about Texas as an 11 seed, probably the richest program in all of athletics in the United States of America. Texas A&M, you think they got some money? They're at 10 seed. VCU as an 11 seed, once a Cinderella from the first four to the final four back in the Shaka Smart Days and then you have 12 seeded high point. You were saying that you think high point has the best chance to crash the party and continue this dance heading into next weekend. I agree with you, Ben, just because I don't even look at it from the standpoint of the double digit seed. I look at it from the standpoint of who they're playing.

39:15Illinois, I have my qualms about Illinois, you know, sometimes I don't defend my liking, but that offense is historically good. I don't think they're going to trip up this weekend. Gonzaga, I think Gonzaga is going to the final four. So I'm not picking Texas, although I do like Texas as a sneaky underdog, maybe to cover, but I think Gonzaga is going to win. In fact, I do like Gonzaga to cover. We'll get to that a little bit later on in the program. Houston, they to me seem like one of those teams that has one of the highest floors in an NCAA tournament because they defend their asses off. So I don't think Houston's going to go down to Texas A and then what leads us Arkansas. And last year, Arkansas was the double digit seed that made it to the sweet 16 John Calipari was Cinderella last year. That's no title winning John Calipari as Cinderella. This year, though, it's a phenomenal garden, there is a cup, a really fun team. But if you can pick the razor backs, a little leaky on defense, those are the kinds of teams, in my opinion, that becomes susceptible to these upsets, like we saw Thursday afternoon, when high point clipped Wisconsin in the early going.

40:19And that match up between high point and Wisconsin, Femi is very similar to the match up that fling claimant in his panthers. We'll see today against Coach Cal and his razor backs teams that play fast teams that want to shoot the three at a very high clip. Arkansas doesn't take as many threes nearly as the badgers or the team they will play today in high point, but they are efficient when they decide to shoot the three. And because of all those reasons, I think high point has the offensive firepower as they put on display in the 83 82 upset over Wisconsin. We have talked about how chalky the NCAA tournament has become in the last two years, favorites of at least eight points are now 42 and one outright since the 2025 big dance began. What is that one loss for a favorite of eight plus points high point, taking down Wisconsin on Thursday afternoon, winning outright as a double digit underdog. High point is going to need to be great today, not just in shooting the three, not just chase Johnston being incredible as he was in the victory over Wisconsin, not anything that they want to do necessarily offensively.

41:26They are going to need to be as good as they have been all year long, Femi and taking the basketball away, which is going to be a very arduous task against Arkansas, who has the best turnover rate on offense in all of college basketball, simply meaning they don't put the ball in harm's way. But high point has the fifth best turnover rate defensively in the sport this year and averages the most steals per game in the country at nearly 11. They are going to have to turn the hogs over time and again, Wisconsin also very good in terms of turnover rate, third best turnover rate percentage in the country, averaging fewer than nine turnovers per game, one of nine teams at the division one level entering the big dance that could say that, and yet they had more turnovers only 10, then they average about 8.8 per year. So high point was at least a little bit successful in doing just that to me, that is the key. If the Panthers can keep this game within a 12 and a half point number against a really talented offense led by Darius, a cup junior and the razor backs, but Femi, I'm going to believe because they know this style, they know what it takes and they have a lot of confidence that stems from their head coach and the ever smack talking Flynn claim in for a reason, I think high point keeps it within the number tonight, that total of 169 and a half is the highest of the day and for good reason.

42:43Yeah, and I'm even seeing 170 and a half in some places in the market as for the points, but with that game money is coming on who pick Sui Arkansas once 11 and a half now out to as high as 12 and a half 12 is your consensus number, but there are a few 12 and a half when you take a look at the market across the board. So Arkansas is getting a lot of the money. I'm assuming it's people saying, you know what, why am I wasting my money betting on these double digit dogs, these quote unquote Cinderella's when we know it's just a lot of chalk. I am stubborn, I am not one of those people, I am on the high point side with this game, I did take the points with high point, I took a worse number, I took 11 and a half, but 11 and a half 12 and a half, I think they're going to hang within that number there as for when the game will have that conversation a little bit more on the other side or actually a little bit later on during the program between high point and Arkansas, the next game that we have on our slate here on this second round Saturday after Louisville Michigan State, which once again is at halftime Spartans. With a 3631 lead at the break, we have TCU and Duke on deck, the number one seated Duke Blue Devils, who had a scare Thursday afternoon against CNN, a CNN team coach by Jerry McNamara, your guy, GMAC out there at Syracuse, maybe he will be the Syracuse head coach many are asking, but GMAC and his CN squad playing only five players in the games and you know what we're not subbing, we're just going to play our starters and we're going to see where the chips fall.

44:12And it was a valiant effort as they took Duke into the deep waters, but from a new standpoint, we are all wondering what will be the availability of Duke Center Patrick Gungba and this tweet just came down moment to go from CBS's Tracy Wolfson will be on the sidelines reporting on the main broadcast and she tweeted out about five minutes ago saying quote. Patrick Gungba arrived at the arena on a scooter, but Duke head coach John Chyre says that's precautionary so he can stay off his feet as long as possible he is expected to play, but since he hasn't played since the Carolina game, expect them to manage his minutes so it sounds like Gungba will be on the court and in the starting lineup for the blue Devils, but it's going to be kind of a touch and go situation who knows I don't even know what you would handicap the minute I mean like what did you play 15 minutes in the game or. 20 minutes pending on how the game goes I'm assuming will be how John Chyre manages this thing, but a Gungba will be playing, but it will be on a little bit of a restriction you hear that and you think what with the points Brett Duke length 12 and a half against TCU a frisky team out of the big 12.

45:19A very frisky team and one of the best underdogs in the country this year the horn frogs after their outright win is a slight two and a half point dog in the very first game in the round of 64 against Ohio State now 10 and three against the number this year, Femi was seven outright wins TCU has my favorite resume entering the NCAA tournament for reasons that could be on display against Duke today neutral site wins over Florida Wisconsin home victory against Iowa State road win in Lubbock against Texas Tech also a season opening loss. To New Orleans a road loss to Utah and big 12 play 26 point road loss to Colorado, they can be a little bit helpers shelter, but as we saw against the book eyes, they can really muck things up and make it a little bit difficult to score against them on the defensive end of the four always a good thing for a 12 and a half point underdog in two main takeaways, I think from that CN a performance for the Duke Blue Devils first and foremost better wake their touches up to be ready for any opponent they are going to see here in the 2026 men's NC

46:19A A tournament, I thought Malik Brown probably spoke a little bit too candidly at that. He said that he said we thought this was going to be a cake walk. We now know it isn't. I'm sure John Shire talked to him about that post game and offered up some thoughts, but I do think it puts on display in these neutral site games, Femi and on tight turnarounds, which is what the NCAA tournament is each and every weekend the lack of availability for Duke in the loss of Caleb Foster in the loss of Patrick Gungba. How much that makes things a little bit difficult for the Blue Devils. Patrick Gungba provides that length down low. He is their best rim defender. He averages more than a block per game this year. He averages basically 11 points in six boards as he gets out there. I'm a little bit concerned for Duke, and we've heard now from a few coaches across various different levels of this sport that by the time we get to the post season, they are their stars are going to be fine. They're just resting. They're going to be all good to play. Gungba was supposed to be back for the round of six

47:19to four. I don't care what you want to say about just keeping weight off that foot showing up to an arena on game day in a scooter is not a good thing. We have seen this be the case. That's a little bit nervy. I think if you're Duke, if you are laying 12 and a half with the Blue Devils, it's because you think they have a defense that absolutely stifles TCU in their own right and that play against CNN woke them up. So now they are going to lay the wood as they have to basically everybody in their wake this year, but that news around Patrick Gungba. And the latest update, not necessarily the most optimistic guy would say for the Blue Devils entering the round of 32. Yeah, I mean, I would lay the 12 and a half if I knew Gungba was a hundred percent, you know, yeah, if I knew Patrick Gungba was going to be out there because they're a way different team with him on the flooring outside of Cameron Bluser. I think he's probably their second most important player on the Duke Blue Devils. And if it's going to be touch and go, it's going to be a restriction. He's rolling on the scooter. I need to see this one first before I dive into it. Maybe a live betting opportunity.
