You'll hear from Dan Hurley on the action tonight. Dusty May and more over the course of the next three hours. We have three baseball games going on right now in our window. We have a few more to comment about an hour than college basketball. The crown in progress as Baylor and Oklahoma in a one point game. In the second half, we also have Creighton and West Virginia starting in about one hour on the program. But before we get to all that, Ben Stevens, we have an awesome NBA game here in our window.

1:00I'm Dustin Sweetleson, by the way. We appreciate you hanging out with us all afternoon long as we have plenty of bets and plenty of fun coming for you over the next three hours. Benjamin Spurs Nuggets in a landscape of the NBA where these games are mostly meaningless down the stretch. We have a lot on the line here as you've got a San Antonio team on an electric win streak right now winning 11 in a row. Denver on a seven game surge in their own right. Second in the West, third in the West and oh, by the way, two guys trying to take that MVP at SGA's hand about to do battle. Spurs are laying one and a half total 244 and a half. How you feeling about this game in our window today? That total on its way up from a number I bet to the under earlier on this Saturday morning 242 and a hook. One of the reasons I am relying on the under is because of what Dustin just alluded to. You might have seen a viral clip from a show called caching out earlier in the week. A certain host by the name of Dustin Sweetleson, but owning the end of a regular season in the NBA.

2:05Maybe the worst ending of any regular season at the professional level of any single sport. It's hard to argue. Most games feature incredibly large spreads. Most games feature incredibly large margins. In fact, we have seen days where we have seen games average or at least nine games around the NBA show a 24 point deciding victory margin. Again, it has not been competitive, not the case at mile high today between the nuggets and the spurs. Denver one game back of the Lakers for the three spot in the Western Conference. One game in front of the Rockets holding on to home floor advantage and a potential opening round game in the four spots. San Antonio trying to make a charge in this final week of the NBA regular season. Maybe just maybe going after Oklahoma City two games back of that one seed in the Western Conference. So for all of those reasons, Dustin, I expect this game to have a playoff field. I expect this game a rarity at this stage of the regular season in the association to have that postseason intensity. We're on the under of 242 and a half.

3:05I do understand why it is pushing to the over in terms of the betting market to very high scoring and efficient teams. Denver as an underdog in the month of March three and oh against the spread. The last game, the nubs were booked as an underdog back on March 12 in San Antonio against the spurs. They won that game outright with a final score of 136, 131 skying over a pregame total of 241 in the hub. The betting market assuming we are going to see something similar in terms of the offensive production today in Denver. All right. We are going to have an epic game. It's simple as that. You know, we're in a historic run in the association right now, Ben. In 80 years, having at least nine games on a single day had an average margin of victory of at least 24 points. It's happened twice. It happened yesterday and happened last Sunday. So the odds of us getting a quality game here, especially early in the day, pretty rare. But I think because of the final four, this thing got shifted and it's starting early. That way everyone's focused in on the nuggets and the spurs.

4:07So I have a couple plays here and while I expect this game to be a battle, a war. And similar to World War II, I'm coming to the defense of one Frenchman. Okay. The U.S. back to French in order to save the world and free everybody. And I'm going to do that with Victor Webinyama. Who's my MVP? I don't care what anyone says. I don't care what the numbers say as SGA's minus 1600. Webinyama is eight to one. He wants this award. This is one of those moments. One of those games where you can show what you're made of and his defense. If you can somehow make it difficult for Nicola Yokich, I think that absolutely speaks volume about what he's able to do. I'm going to go over rebounds on him 12 and a half. He's averaging 15.8 in his last five versus Denver. A season ago, he had 23 and 18. Denver's an over team. So what does that mean? More possessions. That potentially means more miss shots. And that's more opportunities for Webinyama to grab boards. With that, I'm also on Stefan Castle over 30 and a half PRA. Denver's not great defending wings. It's mostly small forwards.

5:07He's more of a shooting guard, but I do think is that go to score on the outside. He's someone who benefits from the pace that this game is going to be played at. He had 30 11 and 10 against Denver early in the year, but Webinyama didn't play in the game. But that gives us plenty of wiggle room, especially. You know that nuggets are going to be trying to stop Webinyama. So that could open up looks for Stefan Castle here. So I'm on over for Stefan Castle. I'm on over on Wembee. And if I was betting the game, though, here's the irony. I'd probably take the one and a half with Denver. I just I think that's the side I would look at. I think these two teams are very evenly matched and still yoke it just world for the most part until someone proves otherwise. So we've got that game going on right now. As far as majorly baseball is concerned, we have three in action currently. And this Tigers Cardinals games kind of wild. Seven six in the fifth Detroit leads, but the Tigers jumped out to a seven one lead. I scratched that. Yes, seven one lead. Then St. Louis had a five run fifth inning. Now we're in the bottom of the fifth and Detroit has a runner on first. And it's seven six Detroit with the lead currently in the betting market.

6:11Then minus three 38 with Detroit plus two 42 with the Cardinals in game total. 15 and a half. We've had 13 runs scored. I mean, I kind of like that over 15 and a half right now. Pre game total seven and a hook. Of course, we have already gone through that updated number on draft Kings. Now that live over under of 16 and a hooks from slight juice on the under yesterday in the series opener in Motown between the Tigers and the cards. We saw four total runs. Detroit blank blanking St. Louis to snap a four game skin and win the first of this matchup against the Redbirds for zip. So to see this much offense and production, not exactly what we expected Jack clarity got the start for Detroit today. Again, hefty numbers. Yes, the Tigers have a runner on, but there are two outs here in the fifth inning. Minus 393 for a one run differential right now, seven six in favor of Detroit. Much like you dusted if I was looking at anything now deep into the bullpen in this matchup with already 13 runs played it over 16 and a half even with its way on its way up to see four.

7:16More runs, not overly surprising. A really good series here between St. Louis and Detroit and the Tigers obviously needed to get back into the win column. Snap in that four game slide yesterday. Let's go to Kansas City now. The first of two between the Brewers and the Royals and Milwaukee's up five nothing. That games in the third inning. You know, I thought about doing something there with Milwaukee Chad Patrick took the bump for the Brewers. A guy who thinks a really solid picture. Two and a third for him. Three hits, no runs, two strikeouts. On the other side, Avila started for Kansas City. Seven hits and three innings. Five earned runs. Two walks as Garrett Mitchell went deep for the Brew Crew in that game. The next game between these two later today. I will have a play on. I'll tell you that is later on in the show. And then finally, our last baseball game in this window, Ben. That's currently going on as the White Sox leading the Blue Jays won nothing. Grotesque starting pitching matchups. So I didn't really do anything with this game. And also Grotesque seen as unfortunately for those of you in the Midwest.

8:16You know this time of year. It's had to remiss whether the sun's going to show itself, especially for these early games. Chicago with the lead won nothing. We're in the fourth inning. Toronto's still a minus 136 favorite plus 104 with the South Siders in that game. But I mentioned at the start, Ben. We have got the final four. It's finally here. And we've been on college basketball since during football season. We were looking at a lot of these teams. They were tipping off during our window when we did the earlier version of LiveBet Saturday. And a week ago, we were not working together on Sunday. But I imagine you had quite a reaction when you were watching what went down with Yukon and Duke. Can we just turn back the clock, hop in the Delorean. And you tell me the emotion, someone like you experienced. Because I believe you were on the air with Femi for that game. We started the opening hat on air together. And I gave out Connecticut plus five and a half. I did share Dustin with Femi and with our audience that day that my fiance, who is the sharper of the two sports handicapers that lives in this residence together,

9:16is in first place in my college buddies bracket pool of about 60 people. She needed Connecticut desperately to reach the final four. And she is basically in line for a large payout of the 26.6 million brackets available on ESPN. My fiance Chloe 2000 shows you how sharp she is and maybe sharing a living room wall and listening to the show often when we talk college basketball by Osmosis makes its way in. So Dustin, we were watching that game in the opening half as we came to a close year on LiveBet Sunday. 13:20I'm just curious Ben. I've never been to Indy. But everyone I know that's ever been says it's like the best event city because of the way it's laid out. And the people and the city. Have you done an event in Indianapolis before? I just assume Big Ten Ben has been there. I have never actually been to Indianapolis. But you are correct. The Big Ten Ben has a great affinity for the city of Indy in terms of its sports hosting capabilities. I think it is one of the greats that we know. It often hosts the Big Ten Championship in football inside Lucassoil. It has often hosted, of course, the Big Ten tournament where the Pacers play at Game Ridge Field House as well. In my all accounts from everybody that I follow and everybody that I speak to. The centralization of that makes it an ideal sports hosting city for the fan for the media member for the teams in terms of their travel logistics. As well. It is awesome. Dustin Sweetleson. It is also just about two hours away from southern Illinois. That's where champagne resides, of course, the home of the fighting a line. And if you have not seen any of the images, either from the open practice on a Friday inside Lucassoil or what we are seeing early on this final four Saturday in Indianapolis.

14:30There is a ton and I mean a ton of orange in blue. I think it is going to sound like the State Farm Center in champagne for our opening game of two on this final four Saturday. It doesn't necessarily mean that Connecticut cannot overcome that as the ever so slight underdog against Illinois. But there is going to be a hefty L.I. and I contingent there in Indy as we are seeing with all the photos and videos from Indianapolis. There is a lot to sink your teeth in as far as Illinois and Yukon is concerned. The line I laying one and a half total 139 and a half total really hasn't budged. I initially my first thought was under but it had less to do with the teams and more to do with it being the first game in Lucassoil where sight lines can be an issue. We will hear from some people who have some thoughts on whether that could impact the shooting in this game. And if it is going to impact either of these teams then it is Illinois. Illinois shoots the 15th most threes in the country. They play in a slow pace but they do rely on the three. If that is not there they are going to have to change their approach. Now what is unique about this game is we saw these two teams meet earlier in the year.

15:33I am very confused that the numbers been because Yukon was a four and a half point favorite then. They won by 13. Illinois is now a one and a half point favorite. So Yukon covers Yukon wins by double digits. Illinois is the favorite now. You know I am biased. I have got Illinois 16 to one to win the title. I want to Illinois in that championship game. I want to be able to do something with that ticket for Yukon. I want to know about this. If this was a regular season game and they were coming off the miraculous win against Duke. Would you want to back them following that game or would you look to fade them with the miracle win and the buzzer beaters? Yeah it is so difficult to say right because the regular season of college basketball is so drastically different than what we see here. I would say that if we were playing on a two day turnaround right that was the sweet 16 and then Yukon was following it up within a eight matchup maybe a slower start for the Huskies with basically a four week off six days in total for a team that has the most pedigree of any of our four playing in Indianapolis of these very significant stages and the biggest matchups.

16:36I don't necessarily factor it in all that much. What I think it shows is that Yukon for whatever reason has some magical power in the NCAA tournament under Dan Hurley especially in a sweet 16 game or later when they have not lost in a sweet 16 matchup or later since the 2009 big dance. I don't necessarily think there is an emotional letdown because you win the elite eight in historic and memorable fashion. You have six days off and you have a ton of time to prepare for this Illinois team. It feels like it's own set of circumstances often dust and when you get to a final four especially with six days of rest. It's totally fair. I kept thinking about if this is a regular season game you just wouldn't back Yukon but it is marked it's totally different. Teams go on runs and no program knows that maybe better than Yukon with the run with Kimber Walker. The run with Shabaz Napier which nobody saw coming the way that went down and they won a national title. And now they have to get through Illinois for an opportunity to take on either Arizona or Michigan in the championship game.

17:37Do you take anything away from the path to get here Ben because one thing that jumps out to me and you know I love Illinois. We have to at least acknowledge the path was a bit easier than expected. They don't have to face North Carolina in the second round. They have VCU who injures one of their best players early in that game so he's not available. And then after that their toughest road was Houston and they were able to get past the Cougars. Meanwhile you've got a Yukon squad that got through Furman. Then it was UCLA Michigan State Duke. Any concern that there's just some attrition for the Huskies with so much difficult battles with great coaches and great teams to get to the final four. Not necessarily we knew when the East region was unveiled just about three weeks ago that it was going to be a gauntlet. Whoever won that regional championship to appear on behalf of that portion of the bracket in the final four in Indianapolis was going to have a gauntlet. And of course we got one versus two Yukon wins the day.

18:38I think that's superior coaching at the end and what Dan Hurley did in the second half with his staff was a master class as compared to John Shire. Fort Illinois you are correct that the path has been a little bit more favorable especially because the top half of that portion did not have the reigning national champs in Florida. Seeing the second weekend eight of our last nine national champs the defending champs have been ousted by the round of 32 in the following NCAA tournament. I would say that's week 16 matchup having to play Houston in Houston is as good of a win as you will find around the NCAA tournament. And it's the fighting a line. I think displaying a little bit more defense that makes them a true national championship contender in my mind. Dustin we have talked often about Illinois in late January in February where you had the ticket on them. I said even more so than the maze and blue of Michigan that if I was going to pick a team from the big 10 to win the conference. It's full national championship since the year 2000. It would be Illinois but some of those defensive woes near the end of the season and in the big 10 tournament on full display in Chicago against Wisconsin.

19:40Made me a little bit more cautious of said statement with the way they are playing defense now. I think Illinois can absolutely cut down the nets on Monday night in Indianapolis. I'm not overly concerned by the path for either the attrition for Yukon having to go through the gauntlet or maybe more favorable path for Illinois. I think it is this specific matchup between two programs that know each other pretty well in the last few seasons of college basketball as you alluded to. Let's hear from Dan Hurley the Hardow head coach of the Yukon Huskies. How do you move on from last week coming off the win against Duke? Do you just turn the page or do you let the team revel in their historic moment? I had to let everyone enjoy it. I couldn't come in on Monday like a cold damp blanket just and just start destroying people on Monday. I mean that just would have been just a cruel thing to do to people spirit after such an incredible victory. But Tuesday you just got to bring everybody back to reality. Like the reality is that moment's over.

20:41It's an incredible movement. You'll have that the rest of your life. But we came here for rings not watches. Everyone that comes in front of four gets a beautiful watch. Only one group is going to get a ring. So get off social media, stop injecting the dopamine into your arm and get serious about the preparation and the practice. Because we don't hang banners for final fours at Yukon. We hang national championship banners. And if you want to hang a banner, you got to get your eyes off social media. You get your face out of the phone and get locked in on Illinois. Because you know, Illinois is one of the best teams in the country. And there's bigger threat to winning this tournament as any of the four teams. Yeah, Dan Hurley don't play, especially this time of year, man. I mean, the numbers speak for themselves. They're pretty well known at this point. But 17 and three against the spread in the NCAA tournament. He's 14 and 0 against the spread in the round of 32 or later. 10 and 0 in the sweet 16 or later. He is a guy that in March. His teams performed the best.

21:42He is a national champion. The only one of these coaches remaining. And because that you have to imagine that gives Yukon the edge against either Illinois. And should they advance in the title game to some degree just because they have experience on the sidelines and on the roster? No, not about it, Dustin. I think that's a huge component of this conversation. In terms of the coaching pedigree of our four, it is Dan Hurley and then everybody else. And there are some members of this Connecticut roster, a K.A. Alex Caravan, that have been there for the magical rides in seasons past. That's why I give Yukon a huge bump. You asked me was I concerned about the path for the Huskies. Maybe too grueling that it would catch up to them here in Indianapolis or for Illinois. Favorable looking to strike and prove themselves in a final four matchup against the team that is one two of the previous three national championships. I don't even think it's so much you or me, my friend. I think it's what the betting market is telling us 92% of the handle as I look at it right now on surka.

22:43Backing the Huskies as a slight underdog. This line at its open was two and a half. It is only a point and a half. The betting market has not been afraid to back the Huskies as a dog in the last three. Now four NCAA tournaments. Connecticut is perfect. Two and a look against the number one book as a dog with the outright victory last week against Duke and DC. Plenty of final four coverage coming your way here on live bet Saturday. So some developing situations in Major League Baseball, as Kansas City would two on and two out, just flew out to left. Five nothing. Brewers still with the lead, but Kansas City man playing with fire. Couple opportunities to plate some runs. Still being shut out now as we go to the top of the 5th inning in Kansas City Ben. We've got the NBA going on right now. We didn't neglect one of these games, and that's the wizards in the heat because I got to tell you, you can do a lot of work. I don't know how you find good angles on or against Washington games. They're just that bad. They're just so abysmal. If you forced me to do something, I wrote down on my notes. I would have done something with Will Riley over PRA, but don't make me do it. Don't force me to do that. The one element of this game between Washington and Miami going on right now, which by the way, Washington does lead 25-24 in the first quarter with 306 to go. Yeah. It's the revenge game for Washington,

24:44as they allowed BAM on a bio to score 83 points the last time they faced each other. So to me, I just feel like the fun way to bet it would have been BAM on a bio over 82 and a half points. That's the only way I would have played this one, Ben. I completely agree, right? Does Washington have the stones to not allow more NBA history to be made? In just a highlight, Dustin's point, the wizards lead, and now Miami jumps back in front by a point, but it's 26-25 with 302 remaining in the opening quarter. And even when Washington had that slight lead just moments ago, the number was still 15 and a half live in favor of the heat at home. Well, some juice, if you wanted to lay 15 and a half with Miami despite trailing by a point albeit early in the first quarter. I think oftentimes, Dustin, to end out the regular season, if there is something at stake, if there is some meaningful motivation in terms of postseason implications for one side against the tanking team that has already been eliminated. Maybe you can find an aspect where you start to buy in. Miami, where they win today, would jump in front of their in-state foe

25:47in Orlando by at least a half game to maybe host the 9-10 Eastern conference play-in tourney game a week from Tuesday. It's not overly exciting motivation all to say. So that's a game you kind of stay away from, and you kind of peel into what we have in Denver between the Spurs and the Nuggets. San Antonio now leads with just under three and a half remaining in the first quarter by five, 30 to 25. They're alive, three and a half point favorite, pre-game lay-in a point and a half. And my under of 242 and a half that was already a bad number because it closed at 244 and a hook. Looks like that might not even stand a chance. 250, three and a half alive, total in mile high between the Nuggets and the Spurs. Yeah, we're playing at a pretty crazy pace right now here, Ben. Wembee has five and two and one. So five points, two boards, one assist in five minutes of action. So they're staggering him a bit. He started, played five minutes along with the air and Fox. Then they brought in Luke Cornett and Dylan Harper off the bench to fill their voids. So it looks like they're playing a little game of Chess here are the Spurs where they're maybe planning on Wembee

26:49being out there for some non-Yokich minutes. As Yokich, nine minutes played ten points to rebounds to assist. I kind of like that move, especially for my rebounding prop, because if anyone's going to stop Wembee from grabbing boards, it's going to be Nicole Yokich in this game. So that's where we stand with the NBA. College basketball crown. We're under three minutes to go Oklahoma, up 10 on Baylor. Big 12 matchup. Sooner 74, Baylor Bear 64, Ben. How about Porter Moser? He saved his job towards the end of the season, even though they didn't make the tournament. Sounds like he's going to get more resources. Getting to one of these tournament wins. I know it doesn't feel sexy, but for a team looking for competitiveness, I think this is something the Sooners can take with them going into next year. Listen, we've only seen one ever winner of the college basketball crown. And what did that team do, riding the momentum of April in Las Vegas into the following college hoops campaign? They won their first 20 games of the year for a program best start, and then made more history with their first ever NCAA tournament win

27:52in a sweet 16 appearance to cap off a magical season. Of course, we are talking about your Nebraska Cornhusker. So, at least in terms of trends and sample sizes that we know Dustin Speedlson, there is a good precedent set by the winner of the crown, carrying that momentum over into the following college basketball season. We'll see if Oklahoma who awaits the winner of West Virginia and Creighton tipping in just a little bit in Las Vegas as well. In that final tomorrow, can continuing the trend that Nebraska has set. We shall see, but a pretty good result here for OU, a big dismal year, by the way, in way go for one of the proud basketball programs of the Big 12 in Baylor. Scott Drew back to the drawing board. It would appear ahead of 20, 26, 27. Yeah, we've got that game wrapping up. And right now, Oklahoma's a 10 and a half point favorite. They're up by 11. The other game in the crown, whoever they will face in the championship will start about 25 minutes. Ben as West Virginia on a surge to end their season and then Creighton, the end of the Greg McDermott era is upon us.

28:55And these are two teams that I don't want to fade right now. So because of that, I just look at the way that they both like to play. Defensive minded approaches, both very good on that end of the floor. West Virginia is not going to blow you away with three point shooting. This was a down offensive year for a Creighton team that normally has some really good shooters. I'm going to go under on this game at 136 and a half. West Virginia is a one point favorite, but I look at the way these two teams play is that neither team fows a lot either. So there's not going to be a lot of those freebies at the charity stripe. And because there's not going to be a lot of trading threes for twos, give me the under 136 and a half West Virginia and Creighton. Let's lock that baby in and then we'll get to the baseball. Any thoughts for you on the other semi final game in the crown? Completely lean on the under of 136 and a half. This is Ross Hodg. It is what he does for his mountaineers. They play incredibly slow. 29:59Like to push the pace blue jays in their heyday under Greg McDermott. Like to get up and down the floor and play fast. They are a much faster team than that of West Virginia, but two Dustin's point. They were not great offensively this year. They don't really get to the foul line. They don't really crash the offensive class. They're not creating those extra possessions. If you're not getting extra possessions on either side, you get into your slower half court sets. It drains the clock. You are opportunities for points. Thus to the under of 136 and a hook. I completely agree with you in terms of what I would do for this matchup in Las Vegas. And our second on final four Saturday in the college basketball crown. Real quickly before we get out of here. We'll hit them again at the top of the hour, but some baseball plays coming up for one o'clock, our time four o'clock on the east coast. And the first game that we want to look at here is Baltimore and Pittsburgh. I'm really fascinated by this pitching matchup. Carmen Molodzinski is a guy that has a pretty live arm was mostly a reliever last year. But Pittsburgh's trying to make him work as a starter

30:59because there's a lot of upside in the strikeout potential. Shane Bos on the other side takes the bump for Baltimore. As Baltimore's minus one away, Pittsburgh at home's minus 112. Your total in the contest is eight and a half. I don't hate the idea of a first five under, but I've been getting killed with a lot of these under bets I've been going with, especially in the first five. Instead, I'm just going to back Baltimore here. I think Shane Bos is a little bit underrated in the market, Ben. And this is a guy out of bad start opening his first start of the year against Minnesota. Five innings for earned four strikeouts. But against this Pirates team a year ago, six inning seven hits, no runs allowed 10 strikeouts. And he's actually better on the road than he is at home. This is going back a couple seasons. Not just last year, outside of Steinbrenner Field, where he had a 3-8-6 road ERA, but 2024, a 2-8-6 road ERA. For some reason, Shane Bos is better on the road. I'm going to back him in Baltimore. I also think they're the better lineup between the two. And I don't know how deep Mozinski's going to go into this game. So because of that, give me the O's.

32:00And I think I got them an even money earlier today. Yes, a market buy back there, basically a pick them by the time we get to this start in just a little bit inside PNC Park. Of course, it is game number two for the Wonderkin and Connor Griffin, who with two strikes in his first MLB at that yesterday. The new shortstop in Phenom for Pittsburgh and RBI double. The buck I was winning the first game against the O's yesterday in this set. Five four. I like this start for Pittsburgh. I am on the Pirates team win total to the over in the preseason of 78 and a half. They are off to a four and three start. They have won three games in a row. But I would kind of leave him with Baltimore having the advantages especially early against Carmen Maginski. We'll see what he can be this year. But of course, excited to see game number two for Connor Griffin. Let me ask you about a game that features a total of 10 also being played in a triple A ballpark. The raise, of course, last year for Shane Bosnay, triple A ballpark. But that would be in West Sacramento, Houston, the athletics. Total is 10 between the A's and the strokes today.

33:03The athletics showing that pop in the lineup 11 runs Dustin in an 11 for victory against their divisional foe. Total 10 today. Do we buy back into some more offense on this Saturday afternoon? I was on the over yesterday. And in this game, I'm going to isolate it to the team total. We're going to go with the Houston over. Even though Tatsuya Amei, the Japanese picture they brought over, he's a little too fastball dependent, which would scare me. If I was someone trying to back Houston here, where the A's could tee off, the game total could go over the 10. But instead, I'm going to isolate Houston's team total. We're going to go over four and a half at minus 133. Luis Morales on the bump for the A's. His first start against Toronto. By the way, on the road at Roger's center, five earned runs. Three homers allowed. Now a game in Sacramento with a team in Houston that could put the ball in play. Small ballpark. I also like Christian Walker to hit a homer. 35:08to cut down the nets potentially this year. And to help us break down what we're going to see later tonight. A real thrill for both of us as two college basketball guys. Damn Bonner. Call an NCAA tournament games for over 35, 40 years now. He's joining us now on the progressive guest line. And Dan, I mentioned, you've been calling these games for a long time and you do an amazing job. You've seen up years. You've seen down years. And I think a lot of novice college basketball fans come into the year. And they complain about the transfer portal. And the NIL world that we live in today. Can you remember the level of talent and the quality of play that you got to see in this NCAA tournament being as good as it's been this season? Well, you know, we all have a little bit of a recency bias. But back in the day, you know, when people like Michael Jordan and Sam Perkins and James Worthy, you know, were playing in the NCAA tournament as juniors and seniors. You know, we had, we had really high quality teams in those days.

36:12And, you know, it sort of shifted around. We started having the one and done. And everybody was saying there's no talent in college basketball. Well, now the way the thing exists today is the talent level is very deep. We get all these guys from overseas coming over because they can make more money playing over here than they can in Europe. We got guys who maybe five, seven years ago would have gone into the draft. They're staying now because they can make more money playing NCAA basketball and they could play in professional basketball. So it is a very deep pool of talent. And the competition obviously has been excellent as a result. And of course, we have two awesome games tonight on Final Four Saturday in Indianapolis. Dan, let's start with the first of two. A team that has won two national championships in the past three years, Connecticut and Illinois. A one and a half point spread in favor of the Align Eye, a total of 139 and a half.

37:15When you look at this, you con team to do what they did to Duke in the second half last week. I think it speaks to coaching and of course what Dan Hurley has accomplished in his tenure in stores. What advantage do you give the Huskies in terms of the coaching matchup tonight against Brad Underwood and his fighting Alina? Well, you know, I think if we were just talking about the coaching matchup, I might take Brad Underwood because he's a little bigger. He could post early up. You know, and, you know, so, you know, obviously coaching matters a great deal. But, you know, we get two tied up sometimes in the coaching matchups. It's the guys we're going to be on the court. The coaches aren't going to score point. The coaches aren't going to get a rebound. The coaches aren't going to throw them all away. And so the interesting thing about both of these guys is they've done a fabulous job getting the players to do what they want. And I think as I look at this game, obviously, I think it's going to be a very close game.

38:17But Illinois has really good size at every position. And Illinois, they like to hunt for matchups. They set screens. They move the ball. They hunt for matchups. And when they get a mismatch, then they start, they bully it. They get the ball where it needs to go. And I just think that's a hard, a hard thing to defend against. But you can't, it's certainly capable. You know, Illinois is going to have their hands full with Reed. So I just, you know, I'm a little bit worried. Silas. Oh, it's last name. It's all of it's a dimmer. Silas, Demory, you know, he's a little bit. He's their best defender. And, you know, he's a little bit banged up. And so there's going to be a lot of different factors involved. But I think it's probably right that Illinois is a little bit of a favorite because I think their style of play. It's going to be difficult for you to handle. Damn, boners with us, CBS Turner sports analyst all over the NCAA tournament as he is every single year.

39:18You've called games in these big venues before. And I hear varying criticisms or opinions when it comes to how it actually impacts the game. We're going to see these games in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil. Damn, when you look at that impacting the flow of the game in the office, do you think that's really a thing? That these teams have to think about? You know, I'm going to sound my age here. I am an old guy. But when I was growing up, you know, where we played basketball, you know, not during the basketball season, but all the other months of the year. Yeah. We played outside. And so I just, obviously, there's a lot of these games where the shooting percentage is suffer. And I'm not sure it has so much to do with the venue as it has to do with the stage. You know, you're playing and you win this game. You're going to play for the national championship. And I think that's a little bit different kind of pressure than Yukon playing at Seton Hall in the middle of January, for example.

40:20So it's possible. It's possible that the big stadiums are not really ideal for basketball. I'm not, I've never been convinced that it's a big factor because it's the same for both teams. A significant stage in a dream matchup in the nightcap, Dan, in Indianapolis. A game that we have hoped to see all year long, Arizona, and Michigan, two of the most dominant teams throughout the entirety of this college basketball season. And Dan, when you have two squads that are incredibly impressive and you're trying to find those advantages between the two. What could that key distinction or key matchup be tonight between the Bayes and Blue and the Wildcats that determines a spot in Monday's national championship game? Well, a couple of years ago, when I was working in the NCAA tournament, Stan Van Gundey was one of my partners. And we were doing an Illinois game. And he said, you know, and it may have been Illinois, Yukon in the, you know, the elite eight, a couple of years ago.

41:22He said, you know, if they were going to play a seven game series, Yukon would win the series, but we're only playing one game. And Illinois has the best player on the court, who at the time was Terence Shannon. And he said, that gives them a chance. And I would make the same argument about the London board kids for Michigan. I'm not saying Michigan's going to win the game, but I think Michigan has the best player on the court. And sometimes that's the decisive factor. That's a great answer. Now, when we look at Arizona, Dan, there's a nice mix for Tommy Lloyd squad. He's got a couple young guys. He's a couple veterans. He's got a few players who've been with the program for a few years. What stands out to you in watching this Arizona team play? You know, the amazing thing and it's not, you know, I don't have any deeper insights than anybody else. But it is the fact that they don't rely on the three point shot the way other teams do. That, you know, they're not afraid to take two point shots that they're more interested in getting the best shot rather than the three point shot.

42:24And they get that by pounding the ball inside. Now, they do an awful lot of their work on the offensive boards. And it'll be very interesting to see what will happen if Michigan, who also has tremendous size, can cut that off or cut that down. Michigan also is really good on the inside. But mainly they're more base, they get it inside, base more on ball movement. And Arizona, you know, they showed in this tournament that they can be pretty good defensively and disrupt that. So in a game like this with two heavyweights, the key to me always is what is team A able to take away from team B? And how does team B adjust to that? I think that that decides the game. Nearly 57% of the points produced this year by the Wildcats. That being for Arizona, download from two point range. A very key matchup that Dan Bonner just highlighted for this final four game on Saturday night in Indianapolis. Dan, let's fast forward by 48 hours to Monday night in Indianapolis.

43:26Who do you see climbing the ladder to cut down the nets as a national champion in just a few days in India? Well, before I answer that question, I'm going to give you a little cautionary note. And everybody saying that this game between Michigan and Arizona is the de facto national championship game. And I will take you back to 1983 when the first game of the final four was NC State in Georgia. And if you just a normal basketball game and the second game of the final four was Louisville and Houston, which was an absolute basketball circus, it was wonderful. And I remember Jim Velvano being on at halftime of that second game and laughing about how he thought that his game against Georgia was the JD game. And who won that final four? It was not Carolina State. So don't count out the winner of Illinois, Yukon. But I would say that my favorite to win the whole thing is Arizona just because I think they're the most complete team.
