Lightning Minerals advances Mt Turner Gold Project

Lightning Minerals managing director Troy Brice talked with Proactive about the latest exploration results from the company’s Mt Turner Gold Project in northern Queensland, where recent surface sampling has identified two additional gold target zones. Brice explained that Lightning Minerals completed a soils program across the Western Zone in July, returning to an area that had previously been regarded as a conceptual gold corridor. The field team collected 551 soil samples and 27 rock chip samples, which were assessed alongside historical soil sampling to improve the company’s understanding of the area. Brice said the growing number of targets was strengthening Lightning Minerals’ view of Mt Turner’s broader exploration potential. Looking ahead, Brice said the company plans to undertake around another 100 surface samples across the Western Zone and incorporate the results into its geological model. Lightning Minerals is also considering trenching across selected targeted vein areas while progressing its upcoming drilling program and other exploration activities in northern Queensland ahead of the wet season.
