Hey friend, it's Kristen, grab your scriptures and let's dive into Ecclesiastes 1 verse 2. The writer of Ecclesiastes lamented, vanity of vanities, all is vanity. Now that sounds a little dramatic, surely not everything was vanity, but let's look at what we can learn from this verse. One of the definitions of the word vanity is emptiness. Can you look around the world and see emptiness in things that pretend to be a value? I can see it everywhere. I have read books and watch movies and visited social media pages and watched YouTube videos that were just that, emptiness. Even though they entertained me and weren't necessarily evil, they left me no better than when I'd started them. In other words, they were empty. Emptiness doesn't mean that something is automatically evil. No games, social media books, movies, none of them are inherently wrong, but if we fill

1:01our lives with the emptiness of vain things, it doesn't leave room for the fullness of the gospel. So the takeaway of the day in 5 words or less is, leave room for fullness.
