Welcome to One Minute Scripter Study, a Come Follow Me Podcast. We are your host, Kristen Walker Smith and Kelly Black. Hey, it's Kelly Black here today's thought. Let's open up to Proverbs 3. Verse 27. Oh, she gave such a great lesson. I'm sure everyone is telling her that. Plus, I'm sure she knows how awesome she is at teaching. Her meals are always delicious. She's so confident. I'm sure she doesn't eat anyone else to tell her that she knows. Oh, that was really wise. I'm sure that she knows that I appreciate all of that great advice that she always gives me. These are just a few reasons that I have personally withheld kind words before. It's usually a variation of, I'm sure they already know why would I need to tell them. But is anyone really out there thinking, you know, I'm pretty amazing and I don't need anyone to show appreciation or compliment me. I probably doubt it.

I bet you can think of kind words or a compliment or a gesture of appreciation that really impacted you at some point. In Proverbs chapter 3, verse 27, we read, withhold not good from them to whom it is due when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. We can each do a little better at never holding back when a kind thought crosses our mind. Who could you think or compliment today? It might be the exact words that the Lord knows they need to hear. So the takeaway of the day in five words or less, don't suppress kind words. Thank you so much for being here today and for coming closer to Christ with me one minute at a time.
