Not only does the cost of dining out goes up due to the inflationary environment, a 18% surcharge means that a $13 Rueben, $12 Burger, 2 sides of $4 fries + $1.81 tax come out to a whopping $40.75.

This is not a court of law whereas the person in question is under judicial jurisdiction, it is a investigation whether the allegations are true the nature of the subject in question
The 5th amendment basically protects individuals from being compelled to be a witness against themselves in a “criminal” case, and it also provides protection against double jeopardy and just compensation when private property is taken for public use.
The House oversight committee was neither a criminal or civil legal proceeding.
