Deborah Sykes was brutally raped and murdered on August 10th, 1984 during her commute to work in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Police moved in quickly, and within a month, they had arrested Darryl Hunt for her murder. However, the evidence they had to convict Hunt was shaky at best.
