Then we're gonna put some fentanyl and bobby Pulled up to the second window and we'll see you next time Welcome to true crime to go. I'm here with who I thought was Jamie, but maybe bobby boucher. Was it close? Was it anywhere? I loved it and I was not expecting it and I'm John. This is Jamie Man football seasons back and anytime I hear a good Louisiana accent always think of the one the only edelwersher on but we're not talking about his crimes today I wish they're gonna had him do the voiceover his only crime is not being on TV more

1:00I'm afraid he is my hero. Yeah, he wasn't at the scene of this crime. I don't think but it was in a logising Anna So I had jumble aya actually earlier today and sounds like we're going to the buy you so I'll just take us there Earlier this summer on June 8th of 2026 40-year-old Victor Revis of Monts, Louisiana made a calculated decision that um Came back to bite him should I say this was on an elevated stretch of interstate 310 and st. Charles Parish and He had a couple options to get away from police but John, what was he running For what was he running in I guess Well, he wasn't in an alligator, but he was in a Toyota Supra So the incident began with a reckless driving call Louisiana State police received a report of a Toyota Supra Which I honestly have no idea what that looks like sounds like a spacious

2:03In the 1980s or 90s car, but they got this call that this Toyota Supra was operating erratically on interstate 10 near Bonneville Boulevard and Yeah, so this is a suburban stretch of New Orleans just west of the city But before troopers could locate the vehicle the Supra struck a concrete barrier So this collision caused a tire to blow out and Yeah, I mean this this in this situation it did not end the pursuit Because he kept driving on a blown tire This time he made his way to I 310 troopers located the vehicle they finally were able to conduct conduct a traffic stop And they identified the driver Yeah, so It's really hard to drive on a on a blown tire or flat tire. It's not a good idea And he ended up stopping of course and he's standing on the shoulder talking to police And as he's standing there looking around he's trying to make a decision

3:07Do I just stand here and take it do I get back in my three tired Supra and try to go do I go to jail He didn't make any of those decisions He ran to the railing of the elevated interstates and jumped over the side Into a swamp now this this was an interstate elevated above the wetlands and swamp of St. Charles parish This is where the ground is not really ground in the conventional sense. It's a waterlogged expansive Marsh vegetation murky water and a full complement of wildlife the Louisiana swamps Contain so he jumped off of the interstate and thought he was gonna flee Through the swamp which I don't know if you live around there. I'm sure it's not as Uh, it doesn't sound as ominous as it does when you live in Kentucky, but it was a swamp nonetheless Have you ever spent any time down in in this part of the country? I've not it's um

4:09You just kind of got to keep in mind like what Kind of environment is a swamp what lives in swamps the closest. I probably been to the Everglades But I think this is probably even swampier. Yeah, I'm trying to think of the name of the show because there was like There was a show on on like the discovery or something years ago where they spend a lot of time in this area Like doing some logging and stuff like that But the swamp is home to the American alligator and there's an estimated two million American alligators in Louisiana So when this got jumped over This barrier and into the marsh into the swamp He is jumping into the home of a predator Did this end well it did not At all so he he jumps into this swamp And he was met pretty quickly by one of these alligators according to Louisiana state police Revis was attacked by an alligator and suffered injuries to both arms

5:13The body camera footage from deputies on the scene captured the moment of the attack the sudden movement the water wherever you see the alligator pounce Revis pulling away you can see the visible injury It's not footage that requires extensive description because he jumped off a bridge and then got attacked by an alligator And he kept running He kept running they eventually had to use a drone And the drone technologies become really important down in that area Because they have jurisdictions in Louisiana where there's so much swamp land and marsh That they can't easily get back to on their four wheelers or even on foot So they tracked him down with a drone Officers eventually moved in and took him into custody he went to the hospital And he was treated for injuries that he sustained Wounds to both arms that while not described his life threatening required medical attention Before he could be booked

6:14When he was booked of course, uh, he's gonna face these charges It was found that he also had a warrant So likely you know one of the reasons he decided to run in the first place But this was for a separate occasion on which he was allegedly involved in a collision and then left the scene He ended up being booked in the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center there in Louisiana And his bond was set at 17,500 dollars That's a lot of mula so Yeah, he's he's gonna have a new host of charges And of course, this is still very early on in those legal proceedings So all of this is allegedly of course so we can keep you updated on this this alligator man Bro, there's you know, I've been to a jail not because of my charges, but because I'm visiting people who are there and Like I would rather just go sit in jail for a little bit then to have Potentially my arms bitten off pound alligator. I need you to think about this though picture yourself in jail

7:18And this guy walks in with both arms taped up and he's like I just fought an alligator I'm sorry. I don't know what that sounded more like a forest gump than it did Louisiana. I mean Alabama I think you both have low IQ points uh I don't get the idea here the there's so many unknowns in the swamp at some point you have to Pick the poison that you know and stay and and go into custody But he ended up in custody anyway with a lot of stitches There's so many other things in swamps that could be bad like the water mucousin. Oh yeah, those are those are snakes very venomous and they're awful Like the swamps actively try to kill you. Yeah, so just go to prison even the bucks carry diseases The water when he gets stagnant can be poisonous. I mean, I guess he's lucky the alligator got him so quickly before he couldn't get poisoned and die But I tell you why it's the home of the best gumbo in the world. Hey man We're gonna take a break when we come back. Well, uh, I don't know. Let's talk about some Barbies and some fentanyl. Sounds good

8:24You John people are really creative and especially if you're trying to find ways to break the law in 2026 There are cameras everywhere There are sensors everywhere. You got to find unique ways To smuggle your drugs and that's what somebody did here. Imagine buying your daughter. Let's say she's four or five years old A Barbie doll You bring it home she opens it out of the package and as you start taking the package apart You know to something weird there's a powder inside and suddenly The the Barbie's not just a toy It's evidence it is carrying some type of drugs this happened in independence, Missouri Back in March of this year for what police discovered

9:28And said that this turned an ordinary trip at a discount store into a pretty terrifying investigation Yeah, so this all happened at a store that has quite possibly the best name ever cargo Hello, that's awesome. This is a liquidation style discount retail store and independence just just outside of Kansas City March 20th a mother bought a Barbie doll So she was going to take it home to her four-year-old daughter The next day like you said the police department was contacted By the store after employees discovered a suspicious powder Inside the packaging of another Barbie So officers tested that substance and the initial field test indicated fentanyl Police immediately started trying to figure out how many of these dolls might have been You know impacted by this and the answer was five I do want to say fentanyl If you're not familiar one of the strongest pain medicines

10:30available at the time and a trace amount of this can kill you right there. I have been so many Overdoses because of this, but what's terrible is I mean that's terrible too But what's really tragic is officers are conducting stops on people not knowing that they've come into contact with fentanyl And then they overdose yeah, so this is a really really dangerous substance Yeah, any trace amounts of this anything that is laced with fentanyl can be really horrific and John you've been to stores like this I'm thinking of like a thrift store you go in and people have bought maybe pallets full of stuff And they're selling it at discount and that's what this is so most people come in here and some pay with card Most probably pay with cash so you're walking in and hand them five dollars for this Barbie in a package that may be beaten up or whatever So it makes it almost impossible to track down these five dolls They started doing their best they were contacting all the customers of records that they had who had purchased things with

11:34cards everybody who they could find that had been in that store on March 29th and 30th They encouraged to contact investigators within hours People have brought in all five barbies every single one of them Was unpackaged Fortunately there have been no overdoses or injuries of note I'm just shocked that that many people paid attention to this uh This the press they were putting out about this and then thought Oh, this is one of mine or Nobody thought hey, I wonder if I can sell this like people just went and turned it in I'm actually surprised that all happened so quickly very fortunate for everybody involved Yeah, super fortunate and just incredibly Thinkful that no one was hurt. I mean this could have ended Catastrophically. I mean you talk about a kid getting their hands on this highly potent Substance it could have ended very very tragically So the drugs weren't inside the Barbie per se they were hidden inside the packaging

12:38Investigators said the substance had been taped to the inside Back portion of the packaging and that led the police to believe that this wasn't some bizarre manufacturing accident I mean who would have thought that to begin with I guess like yeah, but obviously my tells not out there Packaging Barbie over here and fitting all over there. Yeah, I would certainly hope not but you know This did let them know that these drugs were planted there intentionally So the question is why what was the endgame was this Some was this someone working in a factory that tried to ship these somewhere else and and sell these as drug I mean who knows well again this merchandise could be Overstock it could be damaged it could have been Undelivered merchandise and sold for cheaper prices right that has to make the investigation harder right? Yeah They were able to contact the place that cargo cargo got it from but they couldn't figure out

13:38I mean they had received it in the packages and in the box and they got it from somebody else So it's almost impossible to figure out exactly how it got in there I had to I have to think that somebody put it in there to transport it and think that's that would make it easier to get away with and maybe One of their boxes got shipped to a place they weren't prepared for I would have just thought that maybe this was the The remnants of one of those little Packets that's in nearly everything that you buy that's like the humidity You know I'm talking about yeah, yeah, but this is probably More of a fine powder than than what's in there But I don't know if I would have saw powder coming out of the Barbie dog box that I just bought from my daughter I'm probably assuming that It's one of those packets or just something weird. I would probably never assume drugs So how were they even alerted to this? Yeah, so it was really just this this one girl this wasn't Drug dogs this wasn't a search warrant that they it was this one four-year-old girl that opened it up and said

14:41Mommy daddy, what is this powder and ultimately they identified it not just as fentanyl but as cocaine With trace amounts of fentanyl in it, but it did hit their fentanyl test and I have to think this is some way that somebody was trying to Move their fentanyl-laced cocaine and they put it on a shipment and they sent it out and somehow one box of the Of the fentanyl barbies got sent somewhere else We only know that five were affected. We recovered all five of those, but I highly doubt that These are the only five boxes packages that ended up with this substance in it had to be more right But as far as I know they could not track them back far enough to find out where it came from Police have taken one person into custody, but that's really all the information we know at this time I think I don't know somebody obviously knows the answer to this and I think the why

15:46Is still very much out there? But but man this could have been so so bad there has been a lawsuit filed against cargo cargo You know in order for that to be upheld they would have to prove that cargo logo employees were involved in this so I don't know if there's any discovery that will take place or if there's any proof at this point that it was an employee of cargo cargo Will have to keep you posted on this one as well. I mean there could be some element of neglect or some kind of responsibility like I mean Walmart has to label Coffee that it's hot and it might burn you because of lawsuits Maybe cargo Largo is gonna have to put Barbie may contain cocaine. Yeah, well, I mean Let's say that you're the owner of cargo Largo and you have no idea this has happened But one of your employees has done this I still think That the store itself their insurance at least is going to have to be responsible

16:47Even if it was a rogue employee, right? Yeah, so You know, but I guess there's always the off chance that Maybe these came to cargo Largo contaminated in cargo lower go or their employees had no idea I would think that that is more likely the case than not. I'm assuming it came from Whatever distributor they got it from again, where it fell off truck or whatever yeah, but There couldn't have been the only five like well I'm assuming maybe there was a shipment that like these are our fentanyl Barbies and then one box fell off and got sent by To cargo Largo and literally like pick anything else if you're a criminal who wants to move some cocaine fentanyl Pick anything other than a kids to I mean this could have been so bad Um To be clear it's evil don't ever pack it in anything But especially something that a child could take it away from my Legos bro. Don't put your drugs in my Legos Yeah, I've always said that yeah, it's it's a good rule to live by it's a good rule

17:49Yeah, this is a little I don't know nobody died here. So we have one alligator attack We had some cocaine laced with fentanyl in a Barbie I feel like that's pretty good for a Friday here on true crime to go. You know what this world needs. What's that more dexterous Unless fentanyl More alligators that's gonna do it. That's been two crime stories in 10 minutes or less. Would you like crime with that?
