Juneau School District Director Resigns, New Superintendent Named

Jason DeCamille has shared an email that he's leaving to chase new career paths after submitting his resignation last week. He oversees special education, school nurses, counselors, health aids, and the Johnson Youth Center, a key youth detention and treatment facility in. The state, hired in 2023, he's been one of the longest serving leaders in that role since at least 2020. DeCamille has called it a tough choice, but prays the system's his team built, especially after restructuring special education programs last year too. Tackle overcrowding issues.
