Julaine Appling: Citizen-Level Governing

Mary welcomes Julaine Appling back to the podcast to talk about citizenry at the local level. With a plethora of headlines of late related to a federal swamp draining of immense proportions, what is going on in the states? While we focus a lot on Wisconsin in these programs, many states have or will have to deal with similar issues. Today we look at how Governor Evers continues to change the landscape here with his attempts to move away from a representative form of government, something every blue state citizen should be concerned about. Then we look at “baby boxes” and this much-needed pro-life move to protect newborns. Also on the docket, “demographic winter” – what it means when a generation chooses pursuit of self to the exclusion of raising the next generation. Finally, a look at 2025 elections, because, those annoying ads are back already! Julaine serves Wisconsin Family Council as president emeritus.
