But also we'll check out the depth chart so you know who's there to make that why happen for this weekend. Do ball. It's the Jaguar squad. Everything Jacksonville Jaguars every week. Coming back to another Jaguar squad show. This episode brought to you by Kowshi for a limited time. Download the Kowshi app and use code Lockdown to get $10 when you trade $10. Massive show to get to today. I'm Rachel Phillips, sports end over at First Coast News and your host of the Lockdown Jaguars squad show. We've also got Tony T. Wiggins in the house. Marcus Ogden, former Jaguars, online joining us from Chicago and then Kyle Nash as well branding out the crew. We're going to be talking all things Browns and Jaguars previewing the week one match up because yes NFL football is back and of course we're breaking down the depth chart. The Jaguars dropped. It's unofficial but still a lot to take from it. And then later we're going to be giving our bold season predictions. Who's going to win each game? The Jaguars play in as well as will they win the AFC South and what else they could achieve this season. Stacks show to get to guys good to have you all Marcus might be in and out a little bit.
We'll see how we go but great to have you guys all here. Browns and Jaguars this week. Can you believe it football's back Kyle? Let's go. I don't even know what we're to say to that. We've been talking about this for weeks and listen there's been plenty of prognostication for the upcoming of what there is to talk about. You've seen a little bit of locked on Jaguars hit. But fellas and ladies and gentlemen I should say the tie in with James Gladstone in the Browns the more I dig into it the more little things I'm pulling out right. There's the whole Tyson Campbell element. Macing Graham facing off against this group that of the team that passed him by one could argue Travis Hunter's involvement in the trade. There's a lot of storylines here folks. Okay look at this happy Jerry and Jones day until real Jaguars football. Let's go. Thank you Daniel for pointing that out. T-Wig four days. How are we feeling? We feeling good man. We had a chance to speak to the EVP today on locked on Jaguars podcast Tony Bacellum
and he dropped some gems to talk when he was talking about how this team was built in and what their mindset is and so I did that today because a lot of people have anxiety because the Jaguars in their history every time they've been good they got mad right. I don't think it's going to happen this time. I'm really really positive because they don't have this sense of satisfaction. In fact I think they're chomping at the bit they hit somebody and I get that feeling that they're going to get out to a pretty good start this Sunday. Yeah Liam Cole was saying today he actually can't believe it's here and all the guys in the locker room are saying the same thing like it's finally here and they just can't wait to get out there and go show what they've been working on all off season and preseason long look it's such a grind and now this is the fun part this is why you put in all of the work Marcus if we have you I'm not sure if we do but if we do I just said to start the show that I think the Jaguars are going to dominate the Browns come Sunday based off what you said last week I feel like you feel the same way why do you think so.
Thank the Jaguars had so much more offense and defense in the Browns and on top of that I just feel their coaching staff is much better and and we're seeing what we can do. He's a great leader he can truly get the guys to follow and do what he's been done and he also is a leader that makes other great leaders so the Browns I feel from their quarterback care so we're you know play graduate call that to the lack of the coach getting really good to the guys you know getting that leadership going and that just the guys just not really respecting him I don't feel I just think that Clemens is such a disarray and the Jaguars are in prime position to really beat the crap out of them I think that's also going to happen just coming up on on Sunday or Sunday beat the crap out of them that's probably better than dominate I like and you know what Liam Cohen's like they want to go and absolutely stick it to them they're not going to let up at all one thing of note that I thought was kind of interesting out of what Cohen and Trevor Lawrence and a couple of guys in locker room was saying today is that the interesting thing going into
a match up with the Browns considering they've got a new head coach a new defensive coordinator new offensive coordinator is in some ways they're at a disadvantage right and Liam didn't want to go as far to say they're at a disadvantage but they don't have any film on this team right they've seen what a lot of those players can do and they've seen what these coaches have done at different stops but they don't know what they're going to install with the Browns here coming up on Sunday so in some respects they're going to be a little bit like oh what are we getting this play etc etc but at the same time they were saying we're ready for that and it's just about being able to adjust on the fly and playing our game and getting what we want out of this game Kyle what do you think is going to happen Browns first Jaguars on Sunday yeah I think there's going to be a lot of running right I'm already on record with a PSA hey listen Trevor may not throw more than 250 yards it's because they're going to opt to run the football we talked with Marcus last week about this how we think the Jags are coming up on the ground and take it to that surface there look the first Rod Reekier and says well with LeQuint Allen of likely not making this game I mean I know
he was at practice but not practicing but assuming he misses I do see Chris Rodriguez stepping into that third down roll of protections needed for that as well yeah Liam Cohen said today both LeQuint Allen Jr and Cole Van Lennon are going to be game time decisions Cole was out there today working with the team he was limited in practice LeQuint was also out there but yeah it wasn't doing anything he was kind of just standing out the back watching things kind of going through the plays in his own head as different running backs were kind of going through but yeah definitely wasn't actually participating at all so we'll be interesting to see if he's ready to go but talking about the running backs it is an interesting point I spoke to both Chris Rodriguez Jr and Basel Tutton today in the locker room and I asked them just how confident do you feel that this running back room can go and have an impact this season I didn't bring up like the outside noise that we're all seeing and hearing about what people are doubting this running back room they brought it up and they both said you know we see what's out there we're not taking note of it we know what we can do and we're excited to prove to everyone
just how good this running back room can be T-Wig when it looks at the Browns and the Jaguars game A do you think the run game will take over and B where else do you think the Jags are going to dominate well the Cleveland has a good defense and I know Jim Swartz isn't there but they still have a lot of great people on that side of the ball on the inside as well as Jared verse he's not Miles Garrett but he's Jared verse and that that was pretty dang on good when he was with the Rams Carson Swaychinger was the rookie of the year and then they can guard people outside too even though they got Tyson Campbell they still have other members of their secondary that are very good the part that is a little worse than me Tony said this to me that then there's a short about it out there and I had actually talked about this I already recorded the crossover for tomorrow with Spencer German I said man you know it's the unknown it's the same thing the Jaguars were going through last year coming off before in 13 seasons it's the same thing that the Patriots now you think now we we swap with the Browns right but the Patriots and the Jaguars were right there with both of them and when you add their record up last year they had 27 wins so that means
that somebody thought that they were the exact same team they're not and you think about Cleveland is when you change coaches and Todd they got top-munk and they signed four veteran offensive lineman and they have a first round draft picket left tackle DeShant Watson is a veteran and if he's at his best he's dangerous if he's not then he's not dangerous so the unknown factor here it's Todd munkin like another Bruce Ariens like he's in his 50s and he finally gets a job and then all of a sudden he's this great damn coach that should have been having a head coaching job a long time ago that people just overlook it's the it's the unknown aspect and his ain't like college is bad as Cleveland is they're eight and a half point underdog that that is not like in college when you see in week one you see a 50 point underdog and you take the you take the actual team that's given the 50 points away then I failed that work like that feel position weather bad calls turnovers remember this the Jaguars offense and their defense nobody played at all during the preseason they
made up for that by having physical practices against the teams and joint practices that's still not game action so we got we got to we got to see how this thing goes but I'm gonna tell you something the people in that building they're they're not resting on their laws they're not being complacent at all they're going out there like this is the super bowl and that's why I think they're going to win but you may still see some growing pains early yeah super interesting a lot of people in the comments right now so I want to get to some questions because there are some good ones and even just some comments I think this one's interesting C-Rod for the first Jags TD do you think it'll be Chris Rodriguez or who else do you think will be going in for six if it's not C-Rod it's Napo Kutcher that's what I get that would make so many people mad who were mad that the Jaguars drafted Nate but hey we'd love to see I think a really interesting point you touch on T-Wig is the fact that yeah all of the starters have not played in an actual game football in the same goes for
guys like Nate Burkichar who is a draft pick right he's a rookie he hasn't actually got that real game feeling yet and so that's going to be super interesting as we go into we did talk to a couple of guys in the locker room about that and they kind of emphasize and kept hitting on the fact that those joint practices are great but for someone like Trevor Lawrence who doesn't actually get hit in a joint practice and then even for the running backs right it's not full full go because they're still trying to control it and make sure no one's getting injured so those specific areas will be really interesting to watch for I think another thing to watch for is do the Jags start fast on offense right I know fans definitely want to see it Marcus I'm going to ask you this will they start fast on offense will we see Trevor kind of pick up where he left off at the end of the season or is it going to be a bit of a slower start as he kind of finds his groove back playing in a real game no I think they're going to come out quickly and they're going to get up one Cleveland I think they're going to score probably 10 to 14 the first quarter I've just watched the Jaguars really
closely over the last you know a few weeks to train a camp and what I've been talking to guys from the old team and all that and again everybody knows I know Cleveland's Cleveland I get that but Cleveland also is lacking in some key important areas especially in the secondary again I just feel the Jaguars have so much on offense between all the receivers the running back if the offensive line does what it's supposed to do it just creates a stalemate in the running game and give them all the space to like make cuts and go and it holds up at past protection not letting any more than three yards of push come into turbulence this path it's going to be a it's going to be a long day for Cleveland again like I said it's just my belief I just think the Jaguars have too much on offense for Cleveland I just don't think Cleveland's defense it's really ready what's going to come their way on Sunday again Morris coaches go two weeks to what I mean Munkins a good coach but again in Baltimore he got that
knack for not being creative enough not being innovative enough not using a little more enough so I don't think you know if this guy had Lamar Jackson of the helm guys got to show him what's left the helm that's a huge downbreak just in my opinion so I don't think it's going to be a lot of things to do as but again you're right things happen but I don't think Cleveland has anything to make this going to make a close game that's just again my opinion Kyle you talk we talked earlier about the fact that the Jaguars don't exactly know what they're getting when they look at the browns right is there anything else that concerns you heading into this game for the Jags I mean for me the biggest gip of all is the fact that Shadora Sanders won't get picked off by his old teammate no I've got Joe Gagazade like I think the thing that we got to count for we make a great point about their defensive front and I think that's dangerous when you pair the possibility of Colman Lan and missing when you mentioned Lequint Allen 80% of the offensive line is starting in a position that they haven't before for the Jacksonville Jaguars and I know in Pragnon's case it's technically
by default because he wasn't even there but nonetheless I think those elements the growing page mentioned are a thing listen so long as they don't come out getting a bunch of dirty laundry like they did in the early part of last year I think they're still going in the right direction but if there's a path to victory for the browns it's to attack Trevor early and try to force some mistakes okay someone in the comments Robert Travis Hanna picked six I bring it up because that would be something browns fans would just be fuming considering what happened in the draft just a couple years ago I'd be interested to see Travis Hanna back out in the field right it's been a long time since we've seen him play a game of football Liam spoke about the fact that yeah look there'll probably be a little bit of nerves it's always you know exciting but he's handled injuries before and if anything it's more kind of controlling Travis to not be too excited to get out there and kind of reign it in a little bit but Travis Hanna obviously back with the jaguars after that season ending injury in his repeat year I got to ask Wigg one thing though like is this game
incomplete if Tyson Campbell doesn't get beat down the field once by BTC I feel like that's an essential element the Jags passing game has to accomplish this favorites yeah man yeah that that'd be a very very good point if he did do that uh here's something I'll point out about Cleveland last year and this is when they were totally dysfunctional like they beat Green Bayman in week three they also beat Pittsburgh and Cincinnati late you know yeah the other two wins with Miami and in Las Vegas and then somebody in the comments said remember this time last first game week last year both Seattle and New England lost and they're super bowl team it's the NFL man and and the thing I don't think that jaguars are going to lose the game I think it'll be a little workman like though it'll be a little workman like I don't think it's ever going to be something where there's there's a question of whether or not they're going to win or lose the game but you never ever ever ever know right because it's football like I said it's eight and a half point different that's
that's that's considered a blowout spread in the national football league and it's that way for reason because the people don't always I'm gonna tell you my man had had a headache about Cleveland you remember that year Denver went to the Super Bowl and they were not the year they broke all the offensive records but they went to the Super Bowl and won they won a bunch of games they were like a 16 point underdog and they went to Cleveland and they lost and it was one of only it was one game out of a seven game parlay I had so see I got PTSD when Marcus is sitting there telling me that they can't win a game I remember that game video I think it was 16 to 13 or something like that paid manning in Denver somebody looking up for me and put the score in the car that different was the Super Bowl champion and Cleveland was by far the huge action this worst team in the league and it cost me $8,000 so that's why I'm saying I ain't going to ever sit here and bet against anybody early in the year the national football league I like you know
if you Jackson and adjective right there that was fun yeah you know when you when you lose your money you start adding all kinds of stuff to people's names I'm telling you man I was gonna get that I was gonna bring up the last home opener with the rounds for president and that game did go a particular way with a safety at the end but yours is better I get it yeah yeah yeah well and that's the thing right we're all sitting here saying the Jaguars are more talented team but there's two teams that turn up there if we knew who the winner was going to be the game wouldn't be played we don't know who's going to come out with more passion more fire and who wants to win it more before we move on guys gonna go around give your score predictions and who you think's gonna win I think I have an idea on who everyone thinks is gonna win but let's hear score predictions Kyle's style with you I got 21 to 10 I think it's gonna be low scoring because of the ground nature of things and I just don't have that much confidence in the Sean Watson I think they're gonna be watching for Quintzon Juckins that's where I'm at 21 to 10. T-Wig 26-13 very workman like game where it's not ever really in doubt but eventually the Jaguars are just too much
form and and they and they run away from them and I do think there will be some good signs in the game though you you may see a Travis Hunter pick or a Brian Thomas Jr. Long touchdown and it'll be you win the game you'll say okay it's a win like Liam said last year when they barely beat Vegas we don't apologize for wins around here we just take it and we go but then you'll see enough positive things you'll see Trevon getting looks you'll see Josh Allen get looks you'll see some things from some of the young players you you'll see the presence of Dion I keep call that man dear Jordan Lewis you'll see the presence of Jordan Lewis and then some of the questions that you have you may even see Nick Borkerture come up and decleat one of those linebackers and then all of these things will be validated and substantiated that you were wondering okay they were working on this they were working on that I think what people really want to see one they want them to win but two they want to see some of the things that they want to be repaired and fixed like BJ Green and Brian Thomas Jr. and Trevon chasing Deshion Watson all around the field because then we'll say okay we don't have
any pass rush problem so that's what I think and don't let Ventura Miller come through flying through that line and and make a couple of tackles behind the line and scrimmaging and then we're like yeah we glad they got rid of Devon Lord you know what I mean so people want to see specific things and I think as long as they do that and they get a win it'll be good Marcus what are you got 31 to 10 Jacksonville I think it's gonna be really again I think they're gonna come out quickly in that first quarter and I think that it's gonna grind them in the after that in the run game it'll so now a little bit you're gonna start pounding the football getting some big runs you know on the edges and they're gonna start working you know that left side with Harris and Trevon I see a 31 10 Jacksonville okay Marcus and I are close my prediction is 31 17 Jags winning it I think the offense I think they'll start on the run game and then we'll start to see them kind of let it rip as they like to say I think the wide receiver room for the Jags is just too stacked for them not to be putting points on the board okay when we come back we're gonna be looking at the first unofficial

Wiggins on the daily locked on
jaguars show as well as Carl Nash with all of the hits that you can get on your social media to track exactly what's going on with the jaguars okay take a look at the initial depth chart here any surprises jumping out to anybody before we go by position by position I don't want to look too much into it but I find it interesting that Wyatt Milum is listed as as the garden said the tackle but I feel like that's kind of more for lack of a better word administration I know they got to put somebody there but I feel like I let's just say if cold doesn't go guys do you feel like uh little is a guarantee started at the right tackle because I thought I heard I heard coach say Milum at right tackle yeah um I would think in this game it would be walking little I didn't Milum played left tackle in college and he's worked at both left fan right guard uh mainly at left guard I believe no mainly at right guard I'm sorry I apologize
for that I think because of the experience it'll be walk a little bit while my land then turns into walk a little as the swing player um it'd be really hard for me to move Ezra Cleveland over there and Wyatt Milum out there as opposed to putting uh walk a little out there with Ezra Cleveland because at least those guys have played a lot of ball with each other and walk a little has played a lot at right tackle so yeah um uh no surprises for me uh we'll get this chance to see if pregnant on can move some people and I know Marcus gonna be watching that very very closely very very very very very very yeah Marcus what do you think I mean it's interesting when he was drafted right I don't think anyone thought that he would end up being the starting left guard but that is now looking very very likely and we kind of saw that transition come through training camp it kind of happened with some injuries that he kind of got his chance and then he really made the most of it and made his mock what do you think he'll be out of do out there as a rookie going into really his first NFL game well I mean he was drafted in the third round so a third round draft pick starting
on the interior is not that uncommon right it's not like if playing a left tackle's a third or fourth round well sometimes that does happen as well that we've seen that happen as well in it but it's not very common it's a lot more common right Rachel and right T. W. Kyle to put a guy that was drafted in third round because he was in my opinion he was always I felt the guard that was going to swing if McCarty was healthy and people was going to stay at left guard with McCarty going down we talked about there well Mila and Monohon we've all the way stepped up and showed him a dominance so what do you do you take care veteran who is a seasoned bet we'll over the right guard you bring in your rookie left guard who is your third round draft pick it's okay young fella nobody so we're going to be a side stepped up and Patrick Mahars on IR we're going to move as we're from left guard to right guard we're going to put you at your natural spot have painted on your right and have hair on your left and you go to work and you go go to war so if he's going to be successful he is in prime position playing with side their best lineman
with Harrison and a very savvy veteran in hazy so I'm expecting big things out of Prednaught and again the run of lockings were after he's got the a big addition I think he's more physical than Cleveland I think he's probably the most physical lineman that I've seen when it comes to running the football and the running game they can really use that going to clean with a lot of beef in the middle yeah based on everything we kind of heard today when we were talking with both Liam Cohen and Cole Van Lantern I personally this is just my opinion I would be surprised if he starts come Sunday he said that week one was never really a goal for them but they kind of got to this point he's like oh I can kind of like get there and get going but there's still a lot of work that he needs to do this week to figure out whether he's right to go and personally I just think they're not going to risk it if there's still like a bit of a question mark around it but that like I said it's just my opinion but if he can go he'll be the starting right tack we have Ezra Cleveland as the starting right guard Robert Hainesy of course the center Pregnon as the left guard and Anton Harrison as the left tackle looking at wide receivers just if you're looking at this visually
Parker Washington yes he's listed at the top vertically that does not mean that he is the number one wide receiver that is just the way that the depth chart works I've seen some comments about that I personally think he's going to be the best wide receiver for the Jaguars this season just my opinion out here but he's not listed as like the number one wide receiver but yeah wide receiver where you go Parker Washington backing him up Josh Cameron and then you got Brian Thomas Jr. backing him up Travis Hunter and the Jacobi Myers with CJ Williams backing him up in depth a lot of people obviously see Travis Hunter here as the number two behind BTJ we kind of knew that coming in and that was the depth chart ways back right when we first started training camp we know he's going to be playing majority on defense but we are going to see him on offense do we think how many if we had to say how many snaps do we reckon he's going to get an offense this game Sunday T-Wig depends on the flow of the game but I would instead of snaps let me go at targets I'll say they shoot at him about four or five times four or five times they go they actually I'm sorry not
not targets catches I do think they try to get them to ball a lot or even if it's on short passes the use of the ability and then I think you're going to get the proverbial down the field through or the one in the red zone where you know they attempt to get him on a fade route to the corner and allow them to use that that great ball skills that he has while the ball is in here so I think you'll see a significant amount especially with the optics of the game it's like Cleveland says no we you know yeah you can come up and get this player we're going to use all the draft capital that you trade to build out Rochbow well now it's going okay now we're going to show you and everybody else why you should have done that I think there's a little bit of that to it at tie-da and you've got Brent Strange obviously Nate Berkertcher back him up and Clinton Morris kind of jumping Tannik Koseal from that initial depth chart that we saw kind of at the start of training camp Kyle surprised by that or just you know one of the things yeah I think it's just a rookie in the veteran you know doing things in somebody out performing somebody else perhaps in camp I don't want to look too much into it because I think I think I think everybody else would agree with me here that's
going to be more packaged in situational based right in this game in particular where you're trying it feels like you're trying to run the ball a lot you're trying to get that 13 personnel and you got a scout group up front like the Brown tab getting three dudes up there that you know can attack and block Tannik Koseal is good at it I just don't know that he's quitting Morris good or Nate Berkertcher good or Brent Strange good I think this trio is better to try to run the ball against the Browns with this week and who knows maybe next week you'll move up one I'm not sure exactly how that works but yeah I think you'll get his time I just don't know that this is the game I play okay at running back Bay Sheldon and Chris Rodriguez on the all the Queen Alan Jr. and then Edmire Dula asked Tutan kind of had to ask him I was like how do you feel about going out there with an all would you rather like do you want to be the guy that's going out there to start he's like honestly we don't talk about it I pretty well don't care if he goes out there and he makes a big play I'm stoked for him if I go out there and make a big play he's going to be stoked for me we're running back by committee room and we just want to go have an impact which is obviously
the attitude you want to hear them have right but otherwise no real surprise there obviously we'll have to see if Lequin Alan Jr. is right to go once again he wasn't participating in practice today he was out there so we'll see if he can kind of progress quickly enough to get out there on Sunday at QB travel Lawrence shop hurrah he's the starting QB there on the death chart but then behind him Quinn you as keeps that spot we thought maybe we might see Nick Mullins come in considering that Quinn really only came to the Jaguar was what a week ago to not even two weeks right and they've been on the been a week so I guess they're confident in how he's learning the offense so far this is obviously of course just an initial an unofficial 53 man oh sorry death chart roster so we'll see if that changes as we kind of get closer to the game but yet Quinn you as right now as the backup QB for Trevor Lawrence okay looking at deep fence start with the safety let's go down below so Eric Murray and Antonio Johnson are the two kind of starting safes you got
Ryan Lane Caleb Rantz we're backing them up and then Jalen Husky Marcus do you like that the kind of stacking of that yeah I like that me again I think Murray and Joseph are doing a great job again you have two young you have some younger guys are backing them up you have a rookie behind them and again it's up for all those guys are going to hit the field special teams make contributions I like the way the Jaguars had just have a great amount of people not just in the starting world but also their backups are extremely versatile and extremely you know seasoned so I really like the move they have they've got a great great stacking of comes in the same I feel okay out cornerback Busta Brown Jordan Lewis Travis Hunter and then Jaren Jaren and Christian Braswell backing them up Kyle Thoughts on the CB room this is the group I'm most curious to see on the defensive side simply because I think they're the deepest I've got me crazy I know they've done a lot of work up front the detackles are better than I thought they'd be but
this corner group I think they're going to do a lot to do their part to make sure that breakfast is the concentration on defense meeting early plays getting there to make those stops with Dishon's in trouble I don't I don't think the defensive line will allow it to become dinner where it'll be a late running play I think you get a breakfast secondary that when the ball comes out because Dishon's in trouble they'll make a break and make some turnovers okay then over online back you got foyer ventral Miller with an aw with Branson Combs Dennis Gardek and then Jaleni backing out foyer we knew from the start that it was going to be ventral and Branson kind of splitting that time both getting a lot of ops on defense there at linebacker for the Jags Teewig how confident are you in those two kind of filling the void of Devon Lloyd? Very confident in filling the void of Devon Lloyd because a lot of times just based on formation Devon Lloyd's void was filled because he was standing on the sideline when they went to certain defenses so I think they'll be fine and we've had a look at this last year they play without it for
a few games and I hate to make it sound like that because Devon Lloyd was an all second team all pro and he went and got him some money and I'm happy for him but the thing is is they took a look see without it and they're at Mississippi and so when you have to make a tough decision on how to move on it just becomes a business at that point it's not even about liking people right you remember when they were talking about they don't do 30 business because they don't want to like or dislike someone and have that having effect on whether or not they handled the business and take what's best for the Jaguar team because you're caught on somebody's personality so when they let Devon Lloyd go they had to think about business and the bottom line is the take told him that they were just as good without Devon Lloyd as they would have been with him it also showed in the game against Buffalo went on their final drive he kept coming out of the game you do not pace on one 13 and a half million dollars that you take out of the game not for being tired but for just the formation you can't pay him 13 million dollars if you're fighting for your life on the very
final drive of a playoff game and you pulling them out that's not somebody that you pay a bunch of money again and then looking at the D line no real shocks here and we kind of touched on the fact that you know we want to see what BJ Green can do what Brian Thomas June you can do in really like getting that pass rush going and having an impact in that area looking at specialists parkour Washington still at the punt return position and Bayshore Tutton at the kick return we actually asked parkour in the locker room today are you you're going to be punt returning and he kind of danced around the question at the start and then eventually he was like yeah I'm just going to say I'm I'll be punt returning so yeah no shock there well not no shock but he eventually got there and answered that question for us we lost markers that's okay maybe he'll join us when we come back because we are going to come back in just a second to make our season predictions because the season is right around the corner I can't stop smiling guys I am so excited football is back Sunday right here in Jacksonville will be breaking down every single game not going into depth but in

it's like she lost power yeah it's like she lost power but it looks like it's still moving it's crazy that was wild oh there she goes she's back no I see now yeah hey but check this out can anybody see me can no one can see me everybody can see Kyle Kyle just go ahead and run go ahead and run with some I don't have the run down but go ahead and run with something that she can come back okay well um so there let's go ahead and take the helm but do the thing uh so gentlemen I believe it's the portion of the show we are supposed to go through our record predictions this season now Marcus I know you are the optimistic one of the group I'm gonna start with you because you handed us the keys to what you were looking at last week I believe you said 15 and two at the very least the surprise you can give us is who you think the two
are uh on your prediction there Marcus so I have them losing once then I can start with your vision right twice in a row at least once each day I also pick I believe it was the other one's life so it's too long yeah that's my pick so I can still run and lose the film and lose the film so shockingly not in Lucas oil no no no no no no no no I don't I think the cults are the true I think that I noticed that yeah I still think that they're the back can't war is still you know working through some challenges again it's hard to press on the more drap it so I mean I understand he's got a lot to deal with again I think that's gonna be the tendency to get a little bit I'm not a fan of the cults so maybe it would be a
little joke but I'm a bad guy that's gonna be the move and so I think he's 10 I think the I'm not gonna be 10 down in the down and I go to the I'm gonna be clapping the test and I have to get my game to get the D-nesses just very very good give him some rock up along I think we got you breaking up there Marcus wig I'll go to I'll go ahead and go to you actually you know what I'll do mine first you I want to let's let the flagship guy round us out as the anchor I I could tell you that I confident that the Jags will make the playoffs again first time back to back since 99 right and the Texans will be in competition with them I believe they finish with the same record but I believe the Jags win the division 11 and 6 is what I have no disrespect to Marcus's optimism but I do think even with an 11 and 6 record which you'll find overalls that they're still a better team and I think there's some stuff that's going on that's
just kind of unfortunate with the schedule right I feel like the Monday night game against the Steelers is kind of a trap in my mind I'm with Marcus I think they split with the Texans I think the Thursday night game against the Ravens because of the short week is gonna be problematic for them next week I'm a little worried now granted the depth chart for or the injury report for the Broncos may make me change my mind but going into this segment I have the Broncos being angry about last year getting that one back at mile high and then also the Eagles I think will be a struggle but don't worry the Jags will win the second game in London say what you will I know I have them losing fewer games but being a better team and overall at days in they're still winning the division and repeating for the first time in a long time but wait let it still your prediction my man I had picked them to go 12 and 5 but every time I look at the schedule I can't see five games that they'll lose honestly I'm a little bit concerned about the Bengals up there because it seems like every time we go up to it something happens like we miss a field goal or ref makes a bad call
and then they are a very high powered offense and they've improved their defense one of those games in London two consecutive weeks against two really really good teams kind of bothers me so I do think at some point it's fair to say that they split with the Texans Pittsburgh and Chicago are games that are tricky and then I think the Dallas Cowboys will be really really good as much as I don't want them to lose to the Cowboys I'm gonna be more I'm gonna be okay with the fact that I don't think out of any of those losses there'll be something that you'll say that's problematic the way that they they lost they were eight and three and they lost for the 49ers and I came on I came on and was like we got a problem I don't think that's going to be anything that you see I believe it's just gonna be sort of what we see on Saturday nights when these SEC teams kind of beat each other's brains out and a team will be nine and three or ten and two and you know they can win the whole thing if they get a chance so that's one of the things that I'm sort of looking forward to is which one of the games is going to be the the weather game or the bad call game or
the you know the miss field goal or just the game where somebody does something that they shouldn't do right just just think about last year as magical as it was Arizona and Vegas was they were nipping up man to the point where Liam had to say hey we don't apologize for when so it is the NFL I can't imagine what games they'll lose I actually would favor them in about 15 of them maybe the Denver game is the second game in the year on the road Denver's a very very good team probably got a little revenge on their mind because Jack was went up there last year and the mile I think it's right the way for the elevations yeah yeah yeah so all of that stuff man you know but I can tell you this no matter how many games they lose I think after week 17 there will be a better team than the one you saw last year even if the record isn't better great so we kept the seat warm before you're giving you enough time to get your prediction in fire away thank you so much I don't know if you saw the light went black everything cut out and then it's powered back on anyway
we're back said you lost power ever there's a whole funny thing anyways I can't wait to watch it back it's the beauty of a life forecasting right what are we what are we predicting I'm I'm thinking obviously a win against the Browns Broncos I'm gonna say a loss I just heard T-Wig talking at the end there I just think going back to mile high Denver's gonna want to get that one back after the Jags kind of beat them I do think they'll beat the Patriots at home bangles away I think will be a win Eagles I think will be a loss Texans second week in London I think will be a win how is that a lineup with you guys yeah that's good and I think the thing I want to point out about this schedule is sitting here looking at it the NFL is all about formulas if you go from week two to five with Denver the Patriots Bengals Eagles and Texans I would literally tell you that might be I put my money up that that might be as tough a stretch out of anybody in the NFL except somebody playing in the NFC West that that is hard that is brutal and then you look at a four game stretch
later on depending how good Washington is and whether they're able to come back there's a four game stretch that doesn't include them that is the bears the Steelers the Texans and the Cowboys look man that's some pretty good those some good teams with some firepower with some with some decent quarterback so the thing is is this is why I think even if the record isn't as good they'll be better because they'll be so battle tested they'll be battle tested with playoff teams you'll get a better idea of who they are and what they are and sometimes you just got to learn by fire as opposed to last year when they did have a little bit of a soft schedule so yeah you know 12 and five is fine with me as long as after week 17 I feel better about them than I did last year I don't know if you guys went over this already but yes or no are they winning the AFC South again Marcus yes yes I'll even share Marcus's optimism and say five and one in the South yes okay that's four yeses right there I feel like we're on American Idol four yeses
they go in a Hollywood guys which I guess not that far off from where the Super Bowl is going to be so we'll see if it actually comes into fruition obviously it will start this week against the Browns and then really just keeps going from there what do you think about those two London games Kyle obviously we talk about how tough of a stretch that part of the season is to then go play two in London you got the Eagles first and then the Texans yeah and listen I think the Eagles are a matchup problem right now I think they're going to beat the Jags in that first week even though that it it is alleged that London is home turf I mean it's not a let's true look at the fan base but I think what's interesting the reason I have the Jags taking care of business against the Texans it's like that it's been since the 90s or something I'm trying to remember how long it is but the Texans have been playing in London in quite a long time so yeah I don't think it's the 90s but like it's it's been over 10 years I think I'd have to look it up I forgot the stat but the longer the short is the Jags are going to be far more comfortable for the Texans coming to town
and unless they're a line situations healed up your awkward into space already that's just a little bit of edge you need to win in the NFL the Eagles game will present a challenge to the Jaguars as good as Denver is we kind of saw how the Jaguars dealt with them last year but I but I do believe that this is a whole new year this is a whole new season right but with how the Eagles game will come right behind the Bingo's game in the Bingo's game you got to deal with your Marche T Higgins a very very much improved offensive line Joe Burrow if he's if he's there you know because they know telling that's week four he might be gone by the input but Jackson Lawrence and a new front with Jonathan Allen and and a pretty good secondary right so you turn that right around in seven days now you got to go deal with big fans of your and Jaylen Carter and then you got to deal with the Eagles offensive line and when I hear fans ask about this team the two things that they're most concerned about is the offensive line and whether or not our offensive line can move other people
you can move pretty good teams and Marcus mentioned the word still make early and he's exactly right about that you're gonna need more than a stalemate to do it against Philly now it's still made ain't gonna work against the Jaylen Carter he each stalemates for lunch so when you play these good teams that's that's back to back to tell you whether or not your interior you got good enough because you go that actually if you look at New England if you look at Denver you go all these first five teams what am I talking about every all the first six games the defensive line when you think about versing Graham and then you go to Denver and you got to deal with Bo Allen and and bonito and then the week after that it's Milton Williams the week after that is Dexter Lawrence the week I had is Jaylen Carter and then oh by the way in week six now you get Will Anderson and his buddies coming that that is going to tell you everything you need to know about the jaguars offensive line and whether or not they did enough in the offseason or the fact that they've been unhealthy during training camp will that hurt them a little bit I think another game that's kind
of a big one that I have circled on the calendar is that Texans game in week 15 coming off the Steelers game Monday night football the short turnaround going to Houston I'm assuming that game will mean a lot come the end of the season as do who wins the AFC South and I think that'll be a crucial match up to watch for Joshua Morrison AFC South runs through us hey I think that's what every jaguars fan wants to see we saw it happen last year can they keep it going if they do keep it going guys the jaguars in back to back play also the first time since the late 90s just what would that do for this franchise and what would that say about Liam Cohen James Gladstone Tony Vaselli have done to kind of help turn things around Marcus it would say that they have been a phenomenal job that evaluate talent and you know again as a guy who watches a lot of football especially up front the jaguars have a great defensive line they've got a lot of talent defensive
line about a lot of guys that can come in they can give you some great you know some great pass first and it can be a great player when the stars are out so again right man look at this way teams have to deal with the jacksville jaguars defensive line as well which is not as easy as it used to be because now in a great job with their stars and also they got some talent that can come in fresh and get their stars arrested keep those guys in the rotation so I really believe that the jaguars have been a great again right if they make the playoffs which I've done I'm doing that that's just how great that the selling and and Liam Cohen are at not just evaluating talent but bring putting it all together right and I also feel right what will happen is this is just I feel it's going to happen more teams are going to start bringing in former players like the jaguars with the selling to start building because we as former players we know what to look for I believe so I think there's a pattern you see the selling started to have some great success with the jaguars
you'll see more teams bringing in retire players to in those positions to start building franchises the way that the jaguars have now really built and my opinion their franchise well it's certainly an exciting time to be following the jaguars and seeing what they're going to do we're going to take a quick break when we come back answering some of those comments because there are a lot of questions in the chat before season even kicks off everyone's making predictions who wins the division who makes the playoffs who's lifting the trophy at season's end on kowt She America's number one prediction market platform you can trade those predictions in a live market the jaguars haven't gone to the playoffs in back to back years since the late 90s but will they qualify this season right now the jaguars are trading at a 53% chance meaning a $100 trade would pay out $189.56 if they clinch a playoff spot on kowt She your trading gets peers in a live market meaning

Broncos the Denver Broncos all right a couple questions here let's bring them the chat Morris over cozy we touched on it briefly but really Kyle you said comes down to experience probably over rookie yeah experience and hey this week they need to they need more blocking power to get that run game going a different week they could go with cozy when they're looking to go to the air and guys rookies aren't always as ready as you think they are they still need refinement they still need a bunch of stuff and so yeah Morris is a really really good player and he's a special team god don't forget that a lot of comments in the chat about Caleb Randsell and I think fair right he was obviously injured last season they had really high hopes for him injured out for the season this off season and and preseason he's been there but he hasn't been the guy that I've been talking about a lot right so we should see how he kind of fits into it all Marcus what do you think of Caleb Randsell do we think he's going to have a year that makes everyone take note
I can answer because we can't we can't hurt Marcus yeah Marcus you might broke up I can answer try to answer it for I can't answer the way Marcus would happen I'll do my best I think sometimes when you don't see a safety in in in practice or we didn't see any of them in the preseason when you don't see them don't mean they're doing that wrong just mean they probably were doing what they were supposed to do and nobody went where they were so there's also been some questions about the nickel about who when they go to a big nickel so they have two nickels one is with a third corner and the others with the third safety if they go to big nickel it'd be Randsell in the game or Jaylen Husky because he's bigger and he can he play corner and he's more likely if you see a team go to three tight ends and they want to run a big nickel you probably see Jaylen Husky because he's a big old kid right but and both of them are rookies when you really think about it you know Randsell and and Husky I think when when they go with regular nickel obviously that is
Jordan Lewis when they go dime it's Jayren and Jordan Lewis and then when they rest Jordan Lewis because he may be on a little bit of a pitch count it's Jayren and when they rest Travis because Travis is playing offense it's Jayren and when Monterrey goes down it's Jayren so Jayren don't worry about Jayren's on his he's gonna get his he's gonna get 30 snaps of game one way or another and he's gonna have a chance to have a huge impact also I like calling him a swing corner a wig that's what he is he can do it he's right left nickel he's all of that stuff and he's your dime corner just think about these teams latent games that try to go four-wide I love the fact that John Jones is matched up against somebody's fourth receiver that's where you get the advantage all right Marcus I know you got to go soon but let's hope you can answer this question before you go we know they love to shoot gaps and penetrate usually with wide-nines but they play single high and load the box how would you attack it in the run game
you know hear me yes okay very good all right so now again it's I was not really focusing I was like she could hear me he made people that question like I said can they shot her right good okay so okay we know they love to shoot the gaps and penetrate usually with a lot of wide-nines okay top off the dad was yet but they play single high and load the box how would you attack in the run game let's talk about clean okay so when cleaning the run game what I would do is it got a lot of wide-nines right I would be running in that five or six hole in the I'm sorry that six hole or that eight hole inside the wide-nines right or the running in that five hole on the left we have a wide-nine if you're shooting the gas because you're shooting that in that air be gap the seagat is where you want to go when you're running the football if you have a team has wide-nines the kind of keep the box the kind of set the edge and you have the guys coming in those eight or beef capsicum trail at the penetration the place you go is the seagat which is basically on the outside shoulder of the tackle map a five hole right it's going to be this
hole okay we lost Marcus again Marcus feel free to jump off I know you're going to go guys while I still have you a couple more quick questions cam little breaking his record this year what do we think Kyle you know the only reason I'm saying no Rachel is I don't expect I don't expect them to need fuel goals like that late at least not the first part of the season maybe at halftime yeah but yeah that might be the way you see it but I won't rule it out right non-Zero chance yeah I just don't think they're going to be giving him that opportunity less like you said which is kind of what we saw that was the Vegas game right last year that he came in and kicked out field goal that set a indoor record at the very least let me see there was so many questions let me see if I can grab another good one before we wrap this whole thing up because football it's back yeah it's back baby it's just a couple days away and really it starts tonight we're going to NFL tonight and then Australia guys let's go get to be fun okay I can't
I can't find some of the good questions I do I thought one in the comments that we could fill it with because I I'm curious to hear Wigs say somebody asked who has more sacks JHA or Trayvon Walker now free of the club hand right yeah I think it'll be even I think they're both good double digits if I give them their advantage it'll be Josh because Trayvon has so many other responsibilities and other ways and they move them around Joshua probably be if there is a designated past rush on the team that's who it is from the starters I'll also address the question somebody said the bingo's offensive line hasn't improved that's a 12 month old conversation go go look at anybody and go look at just like we used to always say they needed edge rushers and they needed wide receivers and remember the Jackson Powers Johnson they need a center but we don't say it anymore they stop saying it cleaver needs I mean that Cincinnati needs an offensive line they stop saying that eight months ago but because they drafted that kid from Georgia who's healthy uh Orlando Brown has played better and they've got three guys on the inside that they really like put it this way they're running back
chase Brown is one of the top running backs in the lead for a reason and they've improved that last year so that narrative about Cincinnati's offensive line is as old as the day is as long they were all about their defense this year their defense was absolutely awful so their fans deep even asked for an offensive line they were asking for defense that is not the same bingo's offensive line that you remember from two years ago well hey that does it for this week's episode of the lockdown Jaguar's God show is so much to look forward to Jaguars browns Sunday 1 p.m. we'll be right back here next week twice breaking back game down looking ahead to the Denver Broncos game the season is in full swing guys and I cannot wait for it to continue thanks so much for tuning in hanging out with us and dealing with all the technical issues the best the joy of my life Cheers guys we'll see you next time hey
