Jack's Law leads to 1,400 weapon seizures

Two teenagers, one boy is just 15 years old, the other 17 years old, allegedly carrying enormous machetes. Now the younger teenager, please say, was picked up at a shopping complex. Now these fines have all come about because of a law here in Queensland called Jackslaw, which was made permanent about 18 months ago. It's in honour of Jack Beesley, a Gold Coast teenager who was fatally stabbed on the streets of surface paradise in 2019. Now in an update by police today, we've since discovered that 200,000 people have been proactively wandered and scanned.
