More of Savannah Guthrie's heart breaking interview.

The today show anchor speaking about feeling guilty.

Apologizing to her missing mother.

Wondering if her very public job somehow played a role.

And what happened?

I'm so sorry mommy.

I'm so sorry Savannah Guthrie say she is racked with guilt

over the thought that her fame triggered her mother's

abduction.

We don't know, but yeah, that's probably.

Which is too much to bear.

To think that I brought this to her bedside.

That it's because of me.

Nancy Guthrie appeared on the today show several times.

Most recently last November.

And Savannah fears those appearances may have made her a target.

I'm sorry to my sister and my brother.

And my kids and my nephew.

If it is me, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry.

Heartbroken Savannah sob throughout her interview

with Hoda Kotbeast.

She spoke about the sheer horror of these chilling images

of the kidnapper.

It's just totally terrifying.

And I can't imagine that that is who she saw standing

over her bed.

I can't.

That's too much.

The 54 year old today show host also revealed new information

about the kidnapping 54 days ago.

The rear door of Nancy Guthrie's house had been cropped open.

Her mother was wearing only pajamas.

And she had no shoes when she was taken.

She was in tremendous pain on a good day.

She could walk down to the mailbox and get the mail.

But most days not.

And she recalled her pilgrimage along with her sister

and brother-in-law to lay flowers outside her mother's house.

It's the house where all of our memories are.

So it's hallowed ground.

She is our shining light.

She's our meet jerk.

She's all we have.

Former FBI Special Agent Jennifer Kaufendaffer

says the kidnappers are likely to be unmoved

by Savannah's tearful appeals.

Whoever did this to Nancy Guthrie could care less

about these emotional pleas, about Savannah's suffering,

about Nancy's suffering.

There were just people in this world that have no empathy.

Savannah's TV colleagues are praising her courage.

The grief is just unfathomable.

It's hard to watch.

I think about it all the time.

It's the not knowing.

It's the not knowing.

That is to me what hell must look like.

Savannah revealed she had a spiritual experience

that is bringing her some comfort.

I did hear God speak to me.

I heard a voice and it said,

you do know where she is.

She's with me.

She's with me.

Savannah says she believes two of the ransom notes

linked to her mom's disappearance may be genuine.

Baseball fans across the country are rejoicing.

It's opening day and judging by this unbelievable

giant American flag in the sky.

This may be the greatest season opener ever.

And Mercogliano has our coverage.

It may be the most epic opening day ever.

in San Francisco where the giants played the Yankees

and to top it off the singing of the National Anthem

hailed as one of the greatest of all time.

The singer is retired petty officer first class

I think I see a lot of drones in the air.

Something's happening guys.

Turns out it was a formation of drones fitted

with colored pyrotechnics set to go off

at the same time.

of the Phillies and the Texas Rangers.

And now someone is trying to improve

Long TSA lines at Airports have led to warnings

to check in super early.

But some travelers doing that are finding no lines at all.

So how do you know what to expect?

Less Trent has some practical news you can use.

Many airline passengers are up in arms today,

not because of long TSA lines,

but because they're finding no lines at all.

We just made it through a TSA in like what?

Two minutes back.

I think 90 seconds.

They're getting to the airport hours before their flights

expecting total chaos.

But this is what they encounter,

not much of a line at all.

I got through security in like seven minutes,

and now I have two hours in time of flight.

15 minutes.

And now I have two and a half hours to spare.

The airport chaos seems to depend on what city you're flying out of

and the time of day.

Inside addition reporters and producers went to airports

coast to coast today to see for ourselves.

Newer airport.

That's a fairly long line,

but it does seem to be moving.

JFK.

They just closed TSA free check and clear lines.

Staff said the week was around an hour to get through security.

Philadelphia.

This area behind me has been used for overflow lines

when it gets super crowded,

but today it does not seem like they needed these.

And Phoenix.

It wasn't much of a line at all.

I actually just squeezed right through.

So where can you get accurate information

about the situation at your airport?

The MyTSA app doesn't seem to be reliable.

Look at this warning.

Due to the laps in federal funding,

this website will not be actively managed.

So what can you do?

Clint Henderson is a travel expert with the points guy.

The airport website is your best source of information.

It usually has estimated wait times.

The problem is some airports have given up on that.

So Atlanta is a good example.

Now it just says get to the airport four or five hours early

which is crazy.

Another source of solid information?

Your fellow passengers reporting in real time on social media.

Guys, there's no line.

Like I'm going to walk straight through.

Social media has been a dream.

There's a guy I've been following in Atlanta every day.

He posted in the morning.

He's a delt employee.

He posts what the wait times are like.

So that can actually give you a good idea.

You just got to watch when the video was posted.

There's absolutely nobody in line.

A mama bear euthanized and her death is dividing a community.

Wildlife officials say the bear, who was often seen roaming with her cubs,

had gotten too aggressive with humans.

But as Jim Marais reports, many say the bear named Blondie,

didn't deserve to die.

There's growing outrage over the death of this mama bear

who love to take dips in neighborhood pools

and build comfy places for her cubs to rest.

The bear, affectionately known as Blondie,

was a neighborhood fixture.

But all that abruptly came to an end.

After wildlife officials drove her out of a crawl space,

tranquilized her, and then euthanized her.

That's the sound of Blondie's cubs screaming

as they were separated from their mama bear and hauled away.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife captured Blondie.

After they say she swiped at a woman who was walking her dog

and a man sitting on his porch.

About 100 neighbors marched in the streets

and the city of Manrovia outside L.A.

to honor Blondie and call for change.

I just don't think the proper steps were followed

that it feels very rushed.

Blondie wasn't given her fair trial.

I go on walks and I still look for her

because she was always just around.

She was just minding her business, you know,

in the bushes, in a tree hanging.

The L.A. times headline, Blondie didn't deserve to die.

Manrovia Mayor Becky Shevelin.

I was devastated.

I cried.

Fish and Wildlife says we had no choice.

This was a dangerous situation.

There was no conversation as to truly the safety hazard

that they were referencing.

We did not feel that she was a safety risk.

State Wildlife official said

Blondie posed a threat to public safety

and could not be safely returned to the wild.

Blondie's two orphaned cubs have been transported

to San Diego's Humane Society

where they're now playing with stuffed animal bears.

And they're not too pleased about this medical checkup.

Employees dress up as bears.

Somewhere in a bear mask, a fur coat,

and also camouflage so that the cubs

don't become too comfortable around humans.

The hope is to release the cubs

back into the wild when they are stronger.

And never try to fool a judge.

A woman found that out the hard way

when she showed up for a virtual court appearance

while driving.

Brooke Anderson tells us what happened.

A judge can't believe what he's seeing.

A woman logs on to a virtual court hearing from her car.

What she tells the judge is jaw-dropping.

You cannot be driving, ma'am.

What are you doing? Come on.

I'm not driving. I'm a passenger in a car.

She said what?

District Judge Michael McNally,

presiding in Woodhaven, Michigan,

is clearly annoyed.

Am I crazy or does it not look like you're driving that car?

I will have my driver pull over in one second.

I'm sorry.

If you look at the judge's face, it's obvious.

He doesn't believe the woman's story.

To him, she's definitely trying to pull the wool over his eyes.

I'm not driving the car.

I'm a passenger in the car, sir.

The judge isn't buying it.

What side of the car are you on?

I'm on the left-hand side.

How would you be on the left-hand side

if you're a passenger in the front seat?

Am I missing something?

You know, the seatbelt's coming after the driver's side.

Now you're lying to me, right?

No, I'm not, sir.

The plaintiff's attorney is watching in disbelief.

Well, there's one way to find out for sure

if the defendant, Kimberly Carroll, is behind the wheel.

Let me see the driver.

Uh-oh.

She looks like a deer caught in headlights.

Let me see the driver.

I have to ask their permission.

Now.

She fumbles around, and when she finally gets out of the vehicle,

the judge brings down the gavel.

So to speak.

Do you think I'm that stupid?

The defendant was being sued by a debt collection company

for almost $2,000.

The judge ruled she has to pay every cent.

Next, cop versus cop.

She shot by a fellow cop in her own home.

Now the verdict is in.

She's the Boston area cop on trial

for allegedly pulling her gun on a fellow officer.

She says she was trying to shoot herself

because she was suffering from postpartum depression.

Now, the verdict is in.

It's a cop on cop confrontation about to go horribly wrong.

Police outside Boston are seen on surveillance video

called to the home of a fellow officer.

They're here to take away Kelsey Fitzsimmons' baby

after her fiance filed a restraining order

because he feared for the four-month-old baby safety.

Off camera, the visit suddenly turns violent.

Officer Fitzsimmons is shot in the chest

by her own colleague from the north and over PD.

The cop who shot her says he opened fire

after Fitzsimmons pointed the gun at him.

She reappeared with a gun and pointed it right at me

and pulled the trigger.

But Fitzsimmons, on trial for assault of the dangerous weapon,

told the court that's not true.

She was suffering from postpartum depression

and was aiming at herself about to commit suicide.

The gun was pointed at my temple.

Many are saying it's the most captivating Boston court case

since Karen Reed was acquitted

of murdering her police officer boyfriend last year.

Given the big trial with Karen Reed for the past two years

and then this one, I mean, it's just going to captivate

everybody living there.

Today, like Karen Reed, Kelsey Fitzsimmons

was found not guilty.

This is my first breath of fresh air

and I feel like I can breathe again.

Like the Karen Reed trial,

there were allegations of a police cover-up.

The judge says he saw no evidence to back that up.

thanks to a talented teacher.

A teacher saves the day at a talent show,

Alson Hall explains.

A third grader is making her talent show debut

dancing to the Alicia Keys hit, Girl on Fire.

Suddenly, the music stops.

It's a technical malfunction.

Eight-year-old Amber Lee Lau isn't sure what to do.

Then a voice rings out from the audience.

No, it's not Alicia Keys.

It's Amber Lee's teacher at her elementary school

and driver sitting Michigan.
