About this episode

Inside Edition reports…It’s the day after the attack on the U.S. Capitol and there remains stunned disbelief over the unprecedented incursion into the seat of American democracy. There are also a lot of questions about President Trump’s role, the failure of security to protect the Capitol, and why so few people have been arrested. The rioters who were inside the Senate chamber and congressional offices are being called out for, as one senator put it, desecrating a sacred place. The attack on the Capitol is being called one of the darkest days in our history and the whole world is watching with a number of nations gloating over seeing our democracy being threatened. And quick-thinking congressional aides rescued the Electoral College ballot boxes moments before the mob entered the Senate chamber. Now they’re being celebrated for saving the day.
